Abstract

背景技术
在制造木制品(比如胶合板和LVL)时,胶粘剂配制物通过如下制备:向酚醛树脂添加填料和增量剂以提供表面上的留着(holdout,支撑)、控制用于特定应用的流变性质和使得胶粘剂更便宜。胶粘剂配制物典型地通过按一定比例混合酚醛树脂、硬化剂、填料和/或水而配制。
制备胶粘剂配制物时的一个问题是确保获得足够的性质,特别是使用胶粘剂配制物制造的木制品的机械性能。同时,在胶粘剂配制物中尽可能多地使用可再生材料以及同时使得例如酚和/或甲醛的使用最小化是期望的。
木质素作为目前源自石化行业的主要芳香族化学前体的可能的可再生替代品引起了人们的极大关注。在合成这样的胶粘剂期间,可部分地被木质素替换的酚与甲醛在碱性或酸性催化剂的存在下反应以形成高度交联的芳族树脂,称作酚醛清漆(novolacs)(在使用酸性催化剂时)或甲阶酚醛树脂(resoles,热固性酚醛树脂)(在使用碱性催化剂时)。
在制备包含木质素的树脂时的一个问题是使用甲醛,当在含甲醛的树脂中使用木质素时,比如木质素-酚-甲醛树脂。基于甲醛的树脂释放甲醛,这是有毒的挥发性有机化合物。涉及降低或消除甲醛释放的现有的和提出的立法已经引起对用于木材胶粘剂应用的不含甲醛的树脂的开发的关注。
JP5049079B公开了用于瓦楞纸板的耐水胶粘剂。胶粘剂含有淀粉、环氧基交联剂和单宁和/或含水链硅酸盐矿物。胶粘剂优选还含有硼砂,即四硼酸二钠。
Jingxian Li R等(Green Chemistry,2018,20,1459-1466)描述了包含甘油二缩水甘油醚和木质素的树脂的制备,其中木质素以固体形式提供。文章中描述的技术的一个问题是长压制时间和高压制温度。3片层胶合板样品在150℃的温度下压制15分钟以完全地使树脂固化。
Engelmann G和Ganster J(Holzforschung,2014,68,435-446)描述了具有低分子量硫酸盐木质素和连苯三酚的生物基环氧树脂的制备,其中木质素组分由来自硫酸盐木质素的丙酮萃取组成。

发明内容
现已令人惊奇地发现可容易地制备适合用于木制品、层合物、矿棉绝缘物的粘合树脂,其中可避免使用甲醛。还已发现可通过以下实现改进的粘合树脂:提供溶液形式的选自单宁、淀粉、大豆蛋白、甘油、甲壳质、果胶、葡萄糖或其他碳水化合物或其混合物的至少一种生物基产品。提供溶液形式的选自单宁、淀粉、大豆蛋白、甘油、甲壳质、果胶、葡萄糖或其他碳水化合物或其混合物的至少一种生物基产品显著地使得反应加速并且因此缩短了压制时间并且能够使用较低压制温度用于使粘合树脂固化,例如在制造以下时:木制品,比如工程木制品,比如胶合板、定向刨花板(OSB)、层压单板木材(LVL)、中密度纤维板(MDF)和刨花板、层合物、镶木地板、曲面胶合板、贴面刨花板、贴面MDF或矿棉绝缘物。
优选地,粘合树脂不包含木质素。
优选地,粘合树脂不含甲醛。

具体实施方式
根据本发明使用的选自单宁、淀粉、大豆蛋白、甘油、甲壳质、果胶、葡萄糖或其他碳水化合物或其混合物的生物基产品优选选自单宁、淀粉、大豆蛋白、甘油、甲壳质、果胶或葡萄糖。

选自单宁、淀粉、大豆蛋白、甘油、甲壳质、果胶、葡萄糖或其他碳水化合物或其混合物的生物基产品的水溶液可通过本领域中已知的方法制备,比如通过生物基产品、碱和水。溶液的pH优选在10至14的范围内。碱的实例包括氢氧化钠、氢氧化钾及其混合物。水溶液中碱的量优选为溶液的0.1重量%至15重量%,比如溶液的0.1重量%至10重量%。

粘合树脂可还包含添加剂,比如脲、溶剂和填料。
粘合树脂中的脲的量可为0-40%,优选5-20%,以脲的干重量和粘合树脂的总重量计算。
还可将填料和/或硬化剂添加至粘合树脂。这样的填料和/或硬化剂的实例包括石灰石、纤维素、碳酸钠和淀粉。

选自单宁、淀粉、大豆蛋白、甘油、甲壳质、果胶、葡萄糖或其他碳水化合物或其混合物的生物基产品的水溶液优选在室温下与缩水甘油醚混合,比如在15℃至30℃的温度下。混合优选进行约5分钟至2小时。优选地,在混合期间监控混合物的粘度,以连续方式监控或通过采取样品并且测定其粘度的方式监控。
实施例
实施例1
首先,通过在环境温度下将70g的粉末单宁(固含量91%)和107g的水添加至500ml烧杯并且搅拌直至单宁完全且均匀分散来制备单宁溶液。然后,向单宁分散体添加24g的50%氢氧化钠溶液。搅拌组合物120分钟以确保单宁完全溶解在碱性介质中。
实施例2
在室温下使用顶部搅拌器通过将来自实施例1的23.5g的单宁碱性溶液和7.5g的聚甘油聚缩水甘油醚在烧杯中混合20分钟来制备胶粘剂配制物。
使用Automated Bonding Evaluation System(ABES)拉伸测试机在搭接(lap-joint)测试中对胶粘剂配制物进行测试。
出于此目的,使用切成105x20mm料块(pieces)的厚度为0.6mm的相对薄的山毛榉贴面。将树脂施加至两个料块的一个端部的一侧上5mm x 20mm的区域。将一系列试样的涂覆树脂的重叠端部在热压机中以5kg/m2的压力压制在一起,在150℃的压制温度下使用90秒的压制时间。来自5个测试试样的平均数据示于表1中。

实施例3
首先,通过在80℃温度下将27g的粉末淀粉(固含量90%)和49g的水添加至500ml烧杯并且搅拌60分钟来制备淀粉溶液。然后,淀粉分散体的温度降低至40℃并且将4.9g的50%氢氧化钠溶液添加至淀粉分散体。搅拌组合物120分钟以确保淀粉完全溶解在碱性介质中。
实施例4
通过在烧杯中在室温下使用顶部搅拌器混合来自实施例3的25g的淀粉碱性溶液和7.5g的聚甘油聚缩水甘油醚20分钟来制备胶粘剂配制物。
使用Automated Bonding Evaluation System(ABES)拉伸测试机在搭接测试中对胶粘剂配制物进行测试。

通过在烧杯中在室温下使用顶部搅拌器混合来自实施例5的25g的淀粉碱性溶液和7.5g的聚甘油聚缩水甘油醚20分钟来制备胶粘剂配制物。

Claims (13)
1.粘合树脂在层合物、矿棉绝缘物或木制品的制造中的用途,所述粘合树脂通过以下制备:提供包含淀粉的水溶液,和将水溶液与聚甘油聚缩水甘油醚和任选的一种或多种添加剂混合,其中基于干淀粉计算的淀粉和聚甘油聚缩水甘油醚之间的重量比为1:10至10:1。
2.根据权利要求1所述的用途,其中所述层合物、矿棉绝缘物或木制品选自工程木制品。
3.根据权利要求1所述的用途,其中所述层合物、矿棉绝缘物或木制品选自胶合板。
4.根据权利要求1所述的用途,其中所述层合物、矿棉绝缘物或木制品选自层压单板木材LVL、中密度纤维板MDF、高密度纤维板HDF、镶木地板、曲面胶合板或刨花板。
5.根据权利要求1所述的用途,其中所述层合物、矿棉绝缘物或木制品选自定向刨花板OSB、曲面胶合板或贴面MDF。
6.根据权利要求1所述的用途,其中包含淀粉的水溶液为碱性溶液。
7.根据权利要求1-6中任一项所述的用途,其中添加剂为脲和/或溶剂。
8.根据权利要求7所述的用途,其中溶剂为甘油、乙二醇、聚乙二醇、1,2-丙二醇、聚丙二醇、山梨糖醇和/或任何具有3-6个碳原子的线性碳链的末端二醇。
9.根据权利要求1-6中任一项所述的用途,其中在层合物、矿棉绝缘物或木制品的制备中将粘合树脂提供至其表面,其中当其表面暴露于压力和任选的加热时,发生形成胶粘剂的粘合树脂的固化。
10.制造层合物、矿棉绝缘物或木制品的方法,其中粘合树脂通过如下制备:提供包含淀粉的水溶液,和将水溶液与聚甘油聚缩水甘油醚和任选的一种或多种添加剂混合;其中基于干淀粉计算的淀粉和聚甘油聚缩水甘油醚之间的重量比为1:10至10:1,其中在层合物、矿棉绝缘物、木制品的制造中将粘合树脂提供至其表面,其中当其表面暴露于压力和任选的加热时,发生形成胶粘剂的粘合树脂的固化。
11.根据权利要求10所述的方法,其中所述层合物、矿棉绝缘物或木制品选自胶合板。
12.根据权利要求10所述的方法,其中所述层合物、矿棉绝缘物或木制品选自层压单板木材LVL、中密度纤维板MDF、高密度纤维板HDF、镶木地板、曲面胶合板或刨花板。
13.根据权利要求10所述的方法,其中所述层合物、矿棉绝缘物或木制品选自定向刨花板OSB、贴面刨花板或贴面MDF。
