Description
Technical Field
The invention relates to a cleaning device for cleaning a rotatable brush roller of a cleaning device. The invention also relates to a cleaning system comprising a cleaning device and a cleaning apparatus.
Background
Such a cleaning device is known from US8,819,882B2. In particular, for cleaning smooth floors, hand-held cleaning devices are used which have a base body with a shaft which is fastened in an articulated manner thereto, wherein the base body accommodates a rotatable roller assembly. The roller assembly is rotated by an electric motor integrated into the cleaning device, for example by an electric motor driven by a battery. The cleaning device is guided over the floor surface to be cleaned. In this case, the rotatable roller assembly releases dirt adhering to the ground. The cleaning device is further provided with a suction device having a suction gap, which is arranged adjacent to the roller assembly. The suction assembly receives dirt loosened by the brush assembly and conveys the dirt into a dirt container provided in the cleaning apparatus.
The cleaning device may also have means for applying a cleaning liquid to the floor surface to be cleaned. The cleaning liquid comes into contact with the brush roller, whereby the brush roller can also loosen firmly adhering dirt. In this case, there is the problem that dirt can accumulate on the brush roller over time. In order to remove dirt from the brush roller, it is known from the prior art to place the base body of the cleaning device in a basin-shaped cleaning device.
The cleaning device comprises a container with a recess adapted to receive a base body of the cleaning device provided with a brush roll. Furthermore, the cleaning device comprises a water reservoir in which the cleaning liquid is located. Here, the cleaning liquid is in contact with the brush roller. The brush roller of the cleaning device is rotated for cleaning. In this case, the cleaning liquid loosens dirt adhering to the brush roller and partially dissolved dirt reaches a dirt container arranged in the cleaning appliance via the suction gap.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the invention is to provide a cleaning device for cleaning a rotatable brush roller of a cleaning device and a cleaning system having a cleaning device and a cleaning device, which allow a simple and improved cleaning of the brush roller.
The cleaning device according to the invention for cleaning a rotatable brush roller of a cleaning device comprises a container having a recess for receiving a base body of the cleaning device, which base body is provided with the brush roller, and a water reservoir, wherein the water reservoir is fluidically connected to the recess, wherein a cleaning liquid injected into the water reservoir flows automatically into the recess, wherein the recess is designed in such a way that the water reservoir is associated with an edge of the cleaning device which is at a distance from the brush roller, wherein the brush roller rests at least partially on the bottom of the recess, wherein the recess has a first recess for receiving the base body of the cleaning device, which first recess is arranged between the water reservoir and a second recess for receiving the brush roller, wherein at least one channel is introduced into the first recess, through which channel the cleaning liquid injected into the water reservoir automatically reaches the second recess, wherein at least one slit is introduced in a wall of the reservoir through which cleaning liquid filled into the reservoir reaches the at least one passage.
In the cleaning device according to the invention, it is advantageous if the cleaning liquid flows from the water reservoir gradually in the direction of the brush roller. Thereby preventing the brush roller from contacting an excessively large amount of cleaning liquid. Furthermore, the flow rate of the cleaning liquid can be adjusted such that the brush roller can be cleaned quickly and efficiently and contaminated cleaning liquid can be immediately conducted out of the recess. In most designs of the cleaning device, the edge referred to above is the rear edge of the cleaning device. In these cleaning devices, the hinged mounting of the handle is also located in the region of the rear edge.
The container forming the cleaning device is mostly placed on the floor for cleaning. Here, the distance from the water reservoir to the ground is greater than the distance from the recess to the ground. Thereby, the cleaning liquid can automatically flow from the reservoir into the recess by the action of gravity.
The recess may have a first recess for receiving a base body of the cleaning device and a second recess for receiving the brush roll, wherein the first recess is disposed between the water reservoir and the second recess. In this embodiment, the recess is adapted to the underside of the base body of the cleaning device, which enables effective cleaning of the brush roller. The second recess for receiving the brush roller is preferably designed in the form of a semicircular recess adapted to the shape of the brush roller.
The first cavity may have additional recesses for receiving wheels and the like.
In the first cavity, a passage can be introduced through which the cleaning liquid introduced into the reservoir reaches the second cavity automatically. The channel ensures that the cleaning liquid passes directly from the reservoir into the second cavity.
The second cavity may be provided with a protrusion. The protrusions can be configured as nodules, for example. The protrusions produce a point-like contact of the brush roller with the bottom of the second recess, which improves the cleaning action. Preferably, the projections are comb-shaped here. For this purpose, projections in the form of nodules are arranged, for example, in a comb-like manner in the lines. Such an arrangement of the protrusions enables a particularly thorough cleaning of the brush roller.
At least one slit can be introduced in the wall of the reservoir through which the cleaning liquid filled into the reservoir reaches the at least one passage. The at least one slit is preferably designed such that the volume flow of the cleaning liquid into the channel is independent of the filling level of the cleaning liquid in the reservoir. For this purpose, for example, the slot width of the slot can be varied in height-dependent fashion. Preferably, the gap width is chosen such that over a period of 30s approximately 100ml of liquid passes through the channel into the second cavity.
The cleaning system according to the invention comprises a cleaning device as described above and a cleaning device comprising a base body provided with a rotatable brush roll. The cleaning device preferably also comprises a handle which is connected to the base body in an articulated manner, a motor which rotates the brush roller, and a battery which supplies the motor with electrical energy.
Preferably, the base body is further provided with a suction device with a suction opening. The suction opening is preferably designed as a suction slot and is arranged adjacent to the brush roller on the underside of the base body facing the floor to be cleaned. The suction device is designed to receive dirt partially dissolved from the brush roller and to convey said dirt into a dirt container arranged in the base body.
The underside of the base body of the cleaning device and the bottom of the recess of the cleaning device are configured to substantially coincide with one another, so that the base body of the cleaning device can be at least partially inserted into the recess.
To clean the brush roller, a cleaning liquid is injected into the reservoir. The cleaning liquid flows into the second cavity via the slits and the channels. There, the cleaning liquid comes into contact with the rotating brush roller, wherein the brush roller also comes into contact with the projections arranged in the second recess, whereby the dirt is loosened and reaches the cleaning liquid. Due to the rotation of the brush roller, the contaminated cleaning liquid is conveyed in the direction of the suction opening of the cleaning appliance and is received there by the suction device and conveyed into a dirt container arranged in the cleaning appliance.
