Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及显示装置。
背景技术
有源矩阵方式的有机发光显示装置具有响应速度快、发光效率、亮度以及视角大这样的优点。因此,积极地推进了有机发光显示装置的开发。
有机发光显示装置一般将对流到有机发光二极管(Organic Light EmittingDiode;以下,简称为OLED)的驱动电流进行控制的驱动晶体管、以及由OLED构成的像素电路以矩阵状排列,根据视频信号调整像素的亮度,显示任意的图像。像素的亮度能够通过利用驱动晶体管的栅极电压控制驱动电流来调整。
OLED由于经时劣化或者局部长时间高亮度显示等而劣化(出现残影),局部亮度下降,这成为与周围像素产生显著亮度差的原因,在显示图像中产生亮度不均。在将OLED作为像素的图像显示装置中,需要校正由于这种劣化而导致的亮度不均。
在国际公开WO2015/093097号中记载有如下方法:利用外部电路进行驱动晶体管和OLED的特性检测,基于其检测结果来校正显示数据,对驱动晶体管的制造偏差和经时劣化、以及OLED的制造偏差和经时劣化进行补偿。
发明内容
发明要解决的问题
图12是示出国际公开WO2015/093097号的补偿工序的示意图。图13是示出国际公开WO2015/093097号的补偿工序的坐标图。在图12所示的、驱动晶体管T12(以下,简称为T12)的特性检测动作中,通过T12的电流没有流入OLED,而是流入监视电路,根据被充电到监视电路的电荷量来检测电流量。因此,如图13所示,在特性检测动作中施加到数据信号线S(j)的电压Vst被设定为Vst<ELVSS+Vtho,使得电流不流到OLED(Vtho为OLED的发光阈值电压)。
另一方面,在图12所示的通常动作中,电流从T12流入OLED,OLED以与该电流相应的亮度进行发光。T12的源极电压(OLED的阳极电压)为使OLED以特定的亮度进行发光的电压Vop。T12的源极电压在特性检测动作中为Vst,在通常动作中为Vop,并且Vop>Vst(参照图13)。此外,将T12的栅极源极间电压设为Vgs。
在通常动作中流到OLED的电流Iop是施加了Vgs时的T12的I-V特性(电流-漏极源极间电压特性)与OLED的I-V特性(电流-阳极阴极间电压特性)的交点。另外,T12的源极电压(OLED的阳极电压)为Vop,T12的漏极源极间电压为ELVDD-Vop,OLED的阳极阴极间电压为Vop-ELVSS。
特性检测动作中的T12的源极电压(OLED的阳极电压)为Vst,T12的电流It是T12的I-V特性中的与Vst对应的值。T12的漏极源极间电压为ELVDD-Vst。
在此,由于ELVDD-Vop<ELVDD-Vst,因此,It>Iop,即使在通常动作与特性检测动作中对T12设定相同的Vgs,T12的电流也会产生电流误差ΔI=It-Iop。这是因为,如图13所记载的那样,即使在饱和区域,随着T12的漏极源极间电压的增加,T12的电流(漏极源极间电流)也会增加。如果基于在特性检测动作中测定出的T12的电流It来计算校正数据,并使用该校正数据来设定通常动作时的数据电压(T12的栅极电压),则会看到由于电流误差ΔI导致的显示质量下降。
用于解决问题的方案
本发明的一方案的显示装置具备:电源线;扫描信号线;数据信号线,其被供应数据电压;像素电路;监视电路,其与上述像素电路连接;以及控制部,其生成与上述数据电压对应的数据信号,上述像素电路包含:发光元件;电容元件;第1晶体管,其与上述数据信号线连接;第2晶体管,其与上述电容元件和上述第1晶体管连接;第3晶体管,其与上述监视电路和上述第2晶体管连接;以及第4晶体管,上述第2晶体管的1个导通端子经由上述第4晶体管连接到上述发光元件的阳极,在上述第4晶体管为导通并且上述导通端子被设定为第1基准电压的第1监视期间,形成从上述监视电路经过上述第3晶体管和上述第4晶体管到达上述发光元件的阴极的第1电流路径,在上述第4晶体管为截止并且上述导通端子被设定为与上述第1基准电压相同的电压的第2监视期间,形成从上述电源线经过上述第2晶体管和上述第3晶体管到达上述监视电路的第2电流路径,上述监视电路在上述第1监视期间检测上述第1电流路径的电流值,在上述第2监视期间检测上述第2电流路径的电流值。
发明效果
根据上述构成,通常动作和特性检测动作的电流误差被降低,能够提高外部补偿的精度。

〔实施方式1〕
图1是示出实施方式1的显示装置的构成的电路图。显示装置10包含像素电路20、具有监视电路的功能的输出电路30、以及控制部50。
像素电路20(第i行、j列的像素电路)包含发光元件(例如,有机发光二极管OLED)、存储电容器Cst(电容元件)、第1晶体管T1、第2晶体管(驱动晶体管)T2、第3晶体管T3(监视控制晶体管)、以及第4晶体管(发光控制晶体管)。第1晶体管~第4晶体管为N型。在像素电路20中,第1晶体管T1的栅极端子连接到扫描信号线Gi,第3晶体管T3的栅极端子连接到监视控制线Mi,第4晶体管T4的栅极端子连接到发光控制线Ei。第2晶体管T2的栅极端子经由第1晶体管T1连接到数据信号线Sj,并且经由电容元件Cst连接到第2晶体管T2的源极端子。数据信号线Sj兼作监视线,第2晶体管T2的源极端子经由第3晶体管T3连接到数据信号线Sj,并且经由第4晶体管T4连接到OLED的阳极,数据信号线Sj连接到输出电路30。
第1晶体管T1作为对像素20进行选择的输入晶体管发挥功能,由扫描信号线Gi控制。电容元件Cst在通常动作时存储数据电压,在电流测定时(后述)将第2晶体管T2的栅极源极间电压保持为恒定,将漏极源极间电流保持为恒定。第2晶体管T2作为对电流向OLED的供应进行控制的驱动晶体管发挥功能,数据电压从数据信号线Sj经由第1晶体管T1供应到第2晶体管T2的栅极端子。第3晶体管T3作为对数据信号线Sj与第2晶体管T2的源极端子的连接/非连接进行控制的监视控制晶体管,由监视控制线Mi控制。第4晶体管T4作为对第2晶体管T2或第3晶体管T3与OLED的阳极的连接/非连接进行控制的发光控制晶体管发挥功能,由发光控制线Ei控制。ELVDD是用于驱动像素电路20的高电位侧的电源线,ELVSS是用于驱动像素电路20的低电位侧的电源线。
此外,虽然在像素电路20中将OLED用于发光元件,但不限于此,也可以将包含量子点的量子点发光二极管(QLED)用于发光层。
输出电路30包含DA转换器321、选择器322、运算放大器331、监视电容器332、AD转换器324以及开关333、334、335。运算放大器331的反相输入端子经由开关334连接到数据信号线Sj,运算放大器331的非反相输入端子连接到DA转换器321,运算放大器331的输出端子连接到选择器322的输入端子。开关333和监视电容器332并联配置于运算放大器331的反相输入端子与输出端子之间,选择器322的输出端子连接到AD转换器324。
由运算放大器331、监视电容器332以及开关333构成对流到数据信号线Sj的电流进行时间积分的积分电路。DA转换器321将决定运算放大器331的输出电压的数字信号DAT_MD转换为模拟信号AS。模拟信号AS被输入到运算放大器331的非反相输入端子,由数字信号DAT_MD决定的输出电压被施加到数据信号线Sj。选择器322分时输出所供应的多个放大器输出(模拟电压)。AD转换器324将选择器322的输出(模拟电压)转换为数字信号MO_D。
控制部50包含校正数据运算部201、存储器202、视频数据校正部203、基准信号生成部204、电压运算部205以及选择器206。校正数据运算部201根据表示第2晶体管T2和OLED的特性的数字信号MO_D来计算输入信号DAT的校正数据。存储器202保持校正数据。视频数据校正部203使用通常动作中的输入信号DAT、以及从存储器202读出的校正数据来生成数据信号DAT1(视频信号)。基准信号生成部204生成基准信号DAT2,基准信号DAT2表示OLED和第2晶体管T2的特性检测动作中的基准电压。电压运算部205生成数据信号DAT3,数据信号DAT3表示与OLED的特性检测结果(电流值)对应的数据电压。选择器206根据动作状态切换数据信号DAT1、基准信号DAT2、数据信号DAT3,将其作为向输出电路30的输出(数字信号DAT_MD)。

期间To1是用于OLED特性检测的、向存储电容器Cst的写入期间。扫描信号线Gi的电位、监视控制线Mi的电位、发光控制线Ei的电位分别为高电平(High)、低电平(Low)、高电平,第1晶体管T1、第3晶体管T3、第4晶体管T4分别为导通(ON)、截止(OFF)、导通。另外,控制信号CLK1、CLK2、CLK2B分别为高电平、高电平、低电平,开关333、334、335分别为导通、导通、截止。在期间To1中,黑显示的数据电压被从运算放大器331供应到数据信号线Sj,并写入第2晶体管T2的栅极端子。这是为了防止OLED特性检测中的第2晶体管T2的漏电流,只要是能够防止漏电流的电压即可,并不限于黑显示的数据电压。
期间To2是用于OLED特性检测的、数据信号线Sj的充电期间。扫描信号线Gi的电位、监视控制线Mi的电位分别为低电平、高电平,第1晶体管T1、第3晶体管T3、第4晶体管分别为截止、导通、导通。运算放大器331的非反相输入端子的电压由基准信号生成部204变更为基准电压Vs1,运算放大器331将数据信号线Sj充电至基准电压Vs1。
期间To3(第1监视期间)是用于OLED特性检测的、流到OLED的电流的积分期间。如图5所示,在第3晶体管T3为导通并且OLED的阳极端子(第2晶体管T2的源极端子)被设定为第1基准电压Vs1的期间To3,形成从输出电路30经过第3晶体管T3到达OLED的阴极的第1电流路径Z1,在将OLED的阳极阴极间电压设为Vs1-ELVSS时流到OLED的电流(Io1)流过数据信号线Sj。
控制信号CLK1为低电平,开关333为截止。与数据信号线Sj的电流的时间积分值Int_OLED相应地,在电容器332中蓄积电荷,运算放大器331的输出电压MO_A发生变化。
期间To4是用于OLED特性检测的AD(模拟/数字)转换期间。控制信号CLK2、CLK2B分别为低电平、高电平,开关334、335分别为截止、导通。由于开关334截止,电流不再从数据信号线Sj流到电容器332,根据期间To3结束时点的时间积分值Int_OLED决定的输出电压MO_A被维持,并输入到选择器322。选择器322分时地将多列MO_A输出到AD转换器324,AD转换器324按顺序将多列输出电压MO_A转换为数字信号MO_D。在期间To4,开关335为导通,基准电压Vs1从电压控制线CL供应到数据信号线Sj。
在图2的步骤S2中,利用电压运算部205算出为了使与在步骤S1中检测出的Io1相同的值的电流流到第2晶体管T2所需要的监视用的数据电压Vx1(施加到第2晶体管T2的栅极端子的电压)。下述的式子表示数据电压Vx、第2晶体管T2的栅极源极间电压Vgs、第2晶体管T2的漏极源极间电压Vds以及第2晶体管T2的漏极源极间电流Ids之间的关系。此外,它们的关系不限于下述的式子。
Ids=β(Vgs-Vtht)2(1+λVds)
Vgs=Vx-Vs
Vds=ELVDD-Vs
在此,Vs为第2晶体管T2的源极电压,Vtht为TFT的阈值电压,β为与载流子迁移率成比例的参数,λ为饱和区域中的Ids-Vds特性的斜率,Vtht、β、λ为用于对输入信号DAT进行校正的校正数据。如果将Vs=Vs1,Vx=Vx1,Ids=Io1代入上式,则能够使用基准电压Vs1、以及在步骤S1中探测出的电流Io1来表示数据电压Vx1。
在计算监视用的数据电压Vx1时,使用校正数据存储器202所保持的校正数据(即,在上次特性检测中更新后的校正数据)。另外,由于在初次特性检测时没有上次更新后的校正数据,因此,使用初始设定的校正数据。期望在出厂检查时测定驱动晶体管的特性来算出初始设定的校正数据。
在图2的步骤S3中,将第2晶体管T2的栅极端子设定为数据电压Vx1,进行第1次对第2晶体管特性(相对于基准电压Vs1的、第2晶体管T2的漏极源极间电流It1)的检测。步骤S3在图3的期间Tt1~Tt4进行。
期间Tt1(准备期间)是用于第2晶体管T2特性检测的、向存储电容器Cst的写入期间。扫描信号线Gi的电位、监视控制线Mi的电位、发光控制线Ei的电位分别为高电平、低电平、低电平,第1晶体管T1、第3晶体管T3、第4晶体管T4为导通、截止、截止。另外,控制信号CLK1、CLK2、CLK2B分别为高电平、高电平、低电平,开关333、334、335分别为导通、导通、截止。与由电压运算部205生成的DAT3对应的数据电压Vx1从运算放大器331供应到数据信号线Sj,数据电压Vx1被写入第2晶体管T2的栅极端子。
期间Tt2是用于第2晶体管T2特性检测的、数据信号线Sj的充电期间。扫描信号线Gi的电位、监视控制线Mi的电位分别为低电平、高电平,第1晶体管T1、第3晶体管T3分别为截止、导通。运算放大器331将数据信号线Sj充电至基准电压Vs1。由此,如图5所示,在将第2晶体管T2的栅极源极间电压Vgs设为Vx1-Vs1并将漏极源极间电压设为ELVDD-Vs1时流到第2晶体管T2的漏极源极间的电流It1流过数据信号线Sj。
期间Tt3(第2监视期间)是用于第2晶体管T2特性检测的、流到第2晶体管T2的电流的积分期间。如图5所示,在第4晶体管T4为截止并且第2晶体管T2的源极端子被设定为与基准电压Vs1相同的电压的期间Tt3,形成从电源线ELVDD经过第2晶体管T2和第3晶体管T3到达输出电路30的第2电流路径Z2。
控制信号CLK1为低电平,开关333为截止。与流到数据信号线Sj的电流It1的时间积分值Int_TFT相应地,在监视电容器332中蓄积电荷,运算放大器331的输出电压MO_A发生变化。
期间Tt4是用于第2晶体管T2特性检测的AD(模拟/数字)转换期间。控制信号CLK2、CLK2B分别为低电平、高电平,开关334、335分别为截止、导通。由于开关334截止,电流不再从数据信号线Sj流到电容器332,根据期间Tt3结束时点的时间积分值Int_TFT决定的输出电压MO_A被维持,并输入到选择器322。选择器322分时地将多列MO_A输出到AD转换器324,AD转换器324按顺序将多列输出电压MO_A转换为数字信号MO_D。在期间Tt4,开关335为导通,基准电压Vs1从电压控制线CL供应到数据信号线Sj。
在图2的步骤S4中,将与从基准信号生成部204发送来的基准信号DAT2对应的基准电压Vs2(第2基准电压)施加到OLED的阳极端子(第2晶体管T2的源极端子),在第3监视期间,进行第2次对OLED特性(相对于基准电压Vs2的OLED的电流值Io2)的检测。
在图2的步骤S5中,利用电压运算部205算出为了使与在步骤S4中检测出的Io2相同的值的电流流到第2晶体管T2所需要的监视用的数据电压Vx2(施加到第2晶体管T2的栅极端子的电压)。在此,使用初始设定的校正数据或者在上次的特性检测中更新后的校正数据。
在图2的步骤S6中,将第2晶体管T2的栅极端子设定为数据电压Vx2,在第4监视期间,进行第2次对第2晶体管特性(相对于基准电压Vs2的、第2晶体管T2的漏极源极间电流It2)的检测。
在图2的步骤S7中,校正数据运算部201基于表示OLED特性(Io1和Io2)和第2晶体管特性(It1和It2)的数字信号MO_D算出本次的校正数据,并将存储器202的校正数据进行更新。虽然在实施方式1中进行了2次特性检测(OLED和第2晶体管),但不限于此,为了简化处理,可以仅进行1次特性检测,为了提高校正数据的精度,可以进行3次以上的特性检测。
在图4所示的通常动作中,扫描信号线Gi的电位、扫描信号线G(i+1)的电位按顺序从低电平上升为高电平,各行的第1晶体管T1依次从截止变为导通。监视控制线Mi的电位、发光控制线Ei的电位分别固定为低电平、高电平,第3晶体管T3、第4晶体管T4分别固定为截止、导通。
运算放大器331将与来自视频信号校正部203的数据信号DAT1(已通过校正数据校正完)对应的数据电压供应到数据信号线Sj,该数据电压依次被写入各行的第2晶体管T2的栅极端子(存储电容器Cst的一个电极)。当写入结束时,对应的扫描信号线的电位从高电平变为低电平,第1晶体管T1从导通变为截止。如图5所示,在结束了写入的像素20中,将第2晶体管T2的源极电压设为Vop,与被写入存储电容器Cst的数据电压相应地在第2晶体管T2中产生电流(漏极源极间电流)Iop,OLED以与该电流相应的亮度发光。
图6是示出图2的补偿工序的效果的坐标图。如图5和图6所示,在实施方式1中,基准电压Vs1>ELVSS+Vtho,因此,与以往相比,基准电压Vs1与通常动作时的第2晶体管T2的源极电压之差变小,在步骤S3中检测的It1与通常动作时的第2晶体管T2的漏极-源极电流的误差变小。
例如在Vop=Vs1的情况下,理想的是It1=Io1=Iop,由于能够在与通常动作相同的条件下进行特性检测(OLED和第2晶体管),因此,能够提高外部补偿的精度。实际上,由于测定误差、以及从上次的特性检测起的第2晶体管T2的经时变化,在It1和Io1之间会产生若干的误差,但与上述以往的方法相比,补偿精度提高。
图7是示出实施方式1的补偿工序的另一例子的流程图。例如,在补偿工序的间隔长且第2晶体管的经时变化大的情况下,期望使用图7的补偿工序。
在图7中,步骤S1~S7与图2相同,在步骤S8中判断是否满足(It1/Io1-1)的绝对值<规定值Yc并且(It2/Io2-1)的绝对值<规定值Yc,如果为“否”,则进入步骤S9,利用电压运算部205重新算出为了使与在步骤S2中检测出的Io1相同的值的电流流到第2晶体管T2所需要的监视用的数据电压Vy1(施加到第2晶体管T2的栅极端子的电压)。在此,使用在步骤S7中更新后的校正数据。
在步骤S10中,将第2晶体管T2的栅极端子设定为数据电压Vy1,重新进行对第2晶体管特性(相对于基准电压Vs1的、第2晶体管T2的漏极源极间电流It1)的检测。
在步骤S11中,利用电压运算部205重新算出为了使与在步骤S4中检测出的Io2相同的值的电流流到第2晶体管T2所需要的监视用的数据电压Vy2(施加到第2晶体管T2的栅极端子的电压)。在此,使用在步骤S7中更新后的校正数据。
在步骤S12中,将第2晶体管T2的栅极端子设定为数据电压Vy2,重新进行对第2晶体管特性(相对于基准电压Vs2的、第2晶体管T2的漏极源极间电流It2)的检测。
在步骤S12之后进入步骤S7,校正数据运算部201基于表示OLED特性(Io1和Io2)、以及在步骤S10和S12中重新检测出的第2晶体管特性(It1和It2)的数字信号MO_D算出本次的校正数据,并将存储器202的校正数据进行更新。
图8是示出图7的补偿工序的效果的坐标图。通过在S9和S11中使用在S7中获得的校正数据,从而It1接近于Io1,并且在Vop=基准电压Vs1的情况下,It1≈Io1=Iop。即,能够在与通常动作相同程度的条件下进行对OLED和第2晶体管T2的特性检测,能够提高补偿精度。另外,通过使规定值Yc变小,能够进一步提高补偿精度。
图9是示出实施方式1的通常动作的另一例子的时序图。在图4的通常动作中,通过第1晶体管T1的开关动作进行数据写入。另一方面,在图3的特性检测动作(图3的期间Tt1)中,通过第1晶体管T1和第3晶体管T3的开关动作进行数据写入。因而,在通常动作与特性检测动作中,进行开关动作的晶体管的数量是不同的。第1晶体管T1、第3晶体管T3、第4晶体管T4的开关动作经由各晶体管(T1、T3、T4)的寄生电容给第2晶体管T2的栅极端子电压带来影响,因此,这可能会成为第2晶体管T2的电流在通常动作与特性检测动作之间产生误差的原因。
在图9中,在扫描信号线Gi的电位为高电平的期间(数据电压的写入期间),使发光控制线Ei的电位为低电平(使第4晶体管T4截止),使OLED不发光。当扫描信号线Gi的电位从高电平下降到低电平(数据电压的写入结束)时,发光控制线Ei的电位从低电平上升为高电平,各行的第1晶体管T1从导通变为截止,第4晶体管T4从截止变为导通,OLED进行发光。这样,在通常动作中写入结束时进行开关动作的晶体管数(T1、T4这2个)与在特性检测动作中写入结束时进行开关动作的晶体管数(T1、T3这2个)相同,如果将第3晶体管T3与第4晶体管T4的寄生电容设为相同程度,则能够使第2晶体管T2的电流误差变小,能够进一步提高补偿精度。
图10是示出实施方式1的显示装置的另一构成的电路图。虽然在图1的显示装置中,将N型的晶体管用于像素电路20的各晶体管(T1~T4),但不限于此。也可以是如图10那样将各晶体管(T1~T4)设为P型,在第2晶体管(驱动晶体管)与ELVDD(高电位侧电源)之间设置存储电容器Cst的构成。
〔实施方式2〕
图11是示出实施方式2的显示装置的构成的电路图。虽然在图1的显示装置中数据信号线Sj兼作监视线,但不限于此。也可以是如图11那样在将监视线ML与数据信号线Sj设为单独的构成的基础上设置运算放大器337,将监视线ML连接到运算放大器331和开关333并将数据信号线Sj连接到运算放大器337的输出端子的构成。运算放大器337的输出端子连接到其反相输入端子,选择器206的输出端子连接到DA转换器327,DA转换器327连接到运算放大器337的非反相输入端子。
上述各实施方式是出于例示和说明的目的,并不是为了限定。对于本领域技术人员而言,显然基于这些例示和说明可以有多种变形方式。
Claims (11)
1.一种显示装置,具备:电源线;扫描信号线;数据信号线,其被供应数据电压;像素电路;监视电路,其与上述像素电路连接;以及控制部,其生成与上述数据电压对应的数据信号,
上述显示装置的特征在于,
上述像素电路包含:发光元件;电容元件;第1晶体管,其与上述数据信号线连接;第2晶体管,其与上述电容元件和上述第1晶体管连接;第3晶体管,其与上述监视电路和上述第2晶体管连接;以及第4晶体管,
上述第2晶体管的1个导通端子经由上述第4晶体管连接到上述发光元件的阳极,
在上述第4晶体管为导通并且上述导通端子被设定为第1基准电压的第1监视期间,形成从上述监视电路经过上述第3晶体管和上述第4晶体管到达上述发光元件的阴极的第1电流路径,
在上述第4晶体管为截止并且上述导通端子被设定为与上述第1基准电压相同的电压的第2监视期间,形成从上述电源线经过上述第2晶体管和上述第3晶体管到达上述监视电路的第2电流路径,
上述监视电路在上述第1监视期间检测上述第1电流路径的电流值,在上述第2监视期间检测上述第2电流路径的电流值。
2.根据权利要求1所述的显示装置,其特征在于,
上述第1基准电压大于上述发光元件的阴极电压与上述发光元件的发光阈值电压之和。
3.根据权利要求1所述的显示装置,其特征在于,
上述控制部在上述导通端子被设定为上述第1基准电压时算出监视用的数据电压,上述监视用的数据电压用于使与上述第1电流路径的电流值相同大小的电流在上述第2晶体管的导通端子之间流动,
在上述第2监视期间之前设置有将上述监视用的数据电压设定到上述第2晶体管的栅极端子的准备期间。
4.根据权利要求3所述的显示装置,其特征在于,
上述控制部基于在上述第1监视期间获得的电流值、以及在上述第2监视期间获得的电流值生成用于对输入信号进行校正并将其作为数据信号的校正数据,将上述校正数据记录于存储器。
5.根据权利要求4所述的显示装置,其特征在于,
上述控制部使用在上述第1监视期间之前记录的校正数据算出上述监视用的数据电压。
6.根据权利要求5所述的显示装置,其特征在于,
上述控制部在上述第2电流路径的电流值与上述第1电流路径的电流值之比为规定值以上的情况下,使用根据在上述第1监视期间获得的电流值、以及在上述第2监视期间获得的电流值算出的校正数据来修正上述监视用的数据电压,在将修正后的监视用的数据电压设定到上述栅极端子的状态下重新对上述第2电流路径的电流值进行检测。
7.根据权利要求3所述的显示装置,其特征在于,
在上述准备期间结束时,上述第1晶体管从导通变为截止,上述第3晶体管从截止变为导通,
在通常动作中的、数据电压向上述栅极端子的写入结束时,上述第1晶体管从导通变为截止,上述第4晶体管从截止变为导通。
8.根据权利要求1至7中的任意一项所述的显示装置,其特征在于,
在上述第4晶体管为导通并且上述导通端子被设定为第2基准电压的第3监视期间,形成从上述监视电路经过上述第3晶体管到达上述发光元件的阴极的第1电流路径,
在上述第4晶体管为截止并且上述导通端子被设定为与上述第2基准电压相同的电压的第4监视期间,形成从上述电源线经过上述第2晶体管和上述第3晶体管到达上述监视电路的第2电流路径,
上述监视电路在上述第3监视期间检测上述第1电流路径的电流值,在上述第4监视期间检测上述第2电流路径的电流值。
9.根据权利要求1至7中的任意一项所述的显示装置,其特征在于,
多次进行特性检测,上述特性检测包括:在上述第4晶体管为导通并且上述导通端子被设定为与上述第1基准电压不同的预定电压的期间,检测从上述监视电路经过上述第3晶体管到达上述发光元件的阴极的第1电流路径的电流值的工序;以及在上述第4晶体管为截止并且上述导通端子被设定为与上述预定电压相同的值的期间,检测从上述电源线经过上述第2晶体管和上述第3晶体管到达上述监视电路的第2电流路径的电流值的工序。
10.根据权利要求1至7中的任意一项所述的显示装置,其特征在于,
上述数据信号线连接到上述监视电路,
上述第2晶体管的1个导通端子经由上述第3晶体管连接到上述数据信号线。
11.根据权利要求1至7中的任意一项所述的显示装置,其特征在于,
上述发光元件为有机发光二极管或者量子点发光二极管。
