Description
本发明涉及一种颜料组合物,它包括至少两种组份,用于导电涂层并有装饰效果的着色作用。
现在,导电颜料使得生产例如用于电子装置的抗静电涂层,抗静电地面涂层,防爆室的抗静电装置,或用于涂覆塑料的导电底漆成为可能,这些导电颜料被用于许多不同的领域。
目前,常将碳黑和石墨用来生产黑色、导电颜料,而将涂覆镍的石墨,金属小片,或混合的氧化物,例如掺锑的二氧化锡用来生产浅色的颜料。上述的混合氧化物也可施加在载体上,例如云母或硫酸钡上。
但是,因为碳黑和石墨在可见光范围内具有很高的光吸收性,所以它们不能用在透明,浅色或着色的涂料中。另一个问题是,颜料在IR区域有强的吸收性,结果当它暴露在日光中时,涂覆件被加热,这通常是不希望发生的。
因此,当导电碳黑在汽车工业中用作塑料件的底漆时(其中该塑料件具有抗静电涂层)它们的包彩性质需要进一步的中间涂层,该中间涂层的颜色与基涂层的相匹配,从而导至额外的费用。
现在已知的导电颜料在它们的功能性质方面满足了要求,也就是赋予涂层或染色材料导电性质或给予它们一层抗静电涂层,但是它们不能给予这些材料以合适的装饰效果,因为它们本身缺乏装饰效果,如光泽度,干涉色或金属光泽。
EP0373575描述了一种导电的小片状颜料,它包括涂覆有金属氧化物层的小片状基体或小片状金属氧化物,它们涂覆有一层掺锑的二氧化锡导电层,并且在金属氧化物层和导电层之间含有一层水合二氧化硅层,以增加电导率。这种颜料的粉未电阻率为30—40Ωcm。该颜料表现出浅色的总体色调。尽管已将金属氧化物层沉积在小片状的载体上,其光泽仍不足以用于装饰应用,它也不具备任何干涉色。其原因在于在对涂层的形成,涂层厚度及沉积条件进行优化时均着眼于高的电导率,而忽略了装饰效果。同样,在DE4017044中描述的导电硫酸钡也是这样,它含有球形的硫酸钡作为载体和掺锑的氧化锡作为导电层,但是,因为载体材料的原因,这种颜料没有装饰效果。
本发明的一个目的是提供一种颜料组合物,它用于导电涂层并有着色作用,除了给予涂层和着色材料以导电和抗静电性以外,还在光泽性,干涉色和金属光泽等方面对其有装饰效果。
根据本发明,通过制备一种颜料组合物可实现这一目的,该颜料组合物含有一种由一种或多种导电颜料组成的组分A和由一种或多种装饰颜料(effect pigments)组成的组分B。
本发明还涉及用本发明颜料组合物着色的油漆、打印墨、塑料或涂料。
组分A的导电颜料被理解为基于小片状或非小片状载体材料的导电颜料或无载体导电颜料。
所用的小片状载体材料是天然或合成的云母或其它的片状硅酸盐,如滑石、高龄土或绢云母,还有玻璃小片,另一方面,他们也可以是根据国际申请WO93/08237在环带上制得的片状材料。它们包括透明的、无机的、小片状基体,优选地为硅石。该基体通过液态前体在环带上的凝固而制得。该基体中也可加入基它组分。
可以使用的非片状载体材料的例子有硫酸钡或硅石。
向这些载体材料(如果需要,可能已经涂有一层或多层金属氧化物层)施加外涂层,该外涂层含有掺杂的金属氧化物、金属或其它的导电化合物。
无载体导电颜料被理解成由导电物质本身的形式制成的导电颜料。这种颜料的例子有掺锑或掺氟的氧化锡或掺铝的氧化锌。
属于本发明颜料组合物的组份A的那些导电颜料被当作工业产品出售。在硫酸钡上涂覆掺锑的氧化锡的颜料可从SachtlebenChemie GmbH,Duisburg买到,商品名为SaconR P401。
Goldschmidt AG,Duisburg生产了一种导电的氧化锡(IV)颜料,其商品名为Tego-Conduct S。Du dont以商品名ZelecR ECP出售三种在不同的核心材料上涂覆无定形态二氧化硅层和导电的锡/锑层的导电颜料。
从市场上可以买到名为MinatecR(E.MERCK,Darmstadt公司产品)的涂覆有掺锑的二氧化锡涂层的导电云母颜料。以商品名Mj-natecR31 CM出售的产品包括涂覆掺锑的二氧化锡涂层的云母片。以商品名MinatecR30 CM出售的导电颜料包括涂有二氧化钛的云母,并且含有掺锑的二氧化锡层作为导电层。
用作本发明的颜料组合物的组分B的颜料具有很强的装饰效果,也被称为装饰颜料。它们包括珍珠光泽颜料,尤其是干涉颜料、金色光泽颜料和金属光泽颜料,以及金属装饰颜料,铝青铜和金青铜颜料,还包括不能明确划分为上面两组的装饰颜料,如由BASFAG出售的PaliocromR颜料。

它们包括透明的、无机的、小片状基体,优选地为硅石,它含有可溶或不可溶的着色剂。不可溶的着色剂是一种无机或有机颜料,而可溶的着色剂是一种有色的金属氧化物或是一种可溶的有机染料。
在无机基体的至少一侧覆盖少一层薄的、透明的或半透明的反射金属氧化物或金属层,在上述国际申请中可以发现这此细节。
珍珠光泽颜料分为干涉颜料、金色光泽颜料和金属光泽颜料,其中干涉颜料包括涂覆了二氧化钛的云母,金色光泽颜料包括用二氧化钛和氧化铁涂覆的云母,而金色光泽颜料包括云母和氧化铁。

使用根据本发明的颜料组合物,可以通过印刷例如网板曲面印刷或凹雕、喷涂或涂覆赋予各种表面以可电导的或具有防静电涂层。此外,用于待电镀的非导电性基面例如木材、木质纤维板,汽车上的塑料件,陶瓷,玻璃或无机建筑材料的底漆可以被赋予可导电或带有防静电涂层,这能使得表面和底漆有珍珠光泽,干涉色或金属光泽,例如具有铝的阳极处理效果。通过与其它颜色颜料混合,可以具有附加的着色效果。这类导电底漆具有一个优点就是它们可被赋予期望的颜色,这使得可用覆盖在其上部的涂层来与其颜色相配。这样防止了例如在线圈涂覆(OEM)或在修补终饰中出现偏色(Col-oristic Variations)和不希望有的云雾效果。
此外,可以象常规的底漆那样根据颜色和效果来设计导电底漆,以降低底漆的膜厚。任选地,底漆可以滴落,在这种情况下仅用常规的清漆涂覆底漆。
根据加工的粘度,颜料组合物在被染色的系统,例如在油漆或涂料或底漆中的浓度为5—95%(重量)之间,优选20—50%(重量)之间。
根据本发明,由一种导电颜料和各种装饰颜料以及加入的不带溶剂的粘合剂溶液(丙烯酸蜜胺树脂)可制成不同混合比的颜料配方。将得到的涂料组合物刮涂(knife-coated)在试验板上(Leneta-Co./New Jerey的不透明片),干燥后,测定其表面电阻和漆膜的光泽度(干燥膜厚为30μm)。
涂料膜的表面电阻是根据DIN标准53596(5.2.1.3节)测定的,尽管它现在不再有效。它是使用包括一个弹性金属舌片的弹性舌电极来测定的。
为了测定光泽度,使用45°/0°和22.5°/22.5°的几何角度,在黑色背景上利用Hunter实验室系统来测定漆薄膜试样,将测得的结果利用下式转变为光泽度数值:
图1是一个测定几何的L值与由其计算的“相对光泽度”的曲线图。图2仅示出了光泽度数值。这种“光泽度”与表面光泽是不同的。
表1示出了根据实施例1至8和对比实施例1至8的涂层的光泽度和电阻。

表中和两个附图中的数据表明导电颜料MinatecR30 CM和Mi-natecR31 CM具有较低的相对光泽度(参见对比实施例1,2,7和8)。加入一种装饰颜料(见实施例4)明显提高了其光泽度。
含10%的MinatecR31 CM的颜料的光泽度数值为6,而含10%的MinatecR31 CM和5%IriodinR9520的颜料(实施例4)的光泽度数值为28。但是,这个数值是在颜料中仅含5%的装饰颜料时获得的。
另一方面,含15%MinatecR31 CM的漆薄膜的电导率(见对比例1)在加入5%的装饰颜料(见实施例1)后只发生很小的变化。
这些对比清楚地表明,本发明实现了期望的目标,即提供了一种颜料组合物它使被着色的材料不仅有足够的电导性,而且还有装饰效果。
Claims (6)
1.具有装饰效果的导电颜料组合物,它包含由一种或多种导电颜料组成的组分A和由一种或多种装饰颜料组成的组分B。
2.权利要求1的颜料组合物,其特征在于组分A含一种或多种导电的小片状颜料,这些颜料是基于小片状或非片状的载体,如果需要,它可被一种或多种金属氧化物涂覆,这些颜料也可以是无载体的,上述颜料被由一种或多种掺杂的金属氧化物、金属或其它的导电化合物组成的导电层涂覆。
3.权利要求1和2的颜料组合物,其特征在于组分B包含一种或多种珍珠光泽颜料,装饰光泽颜料或金属装饰的颜料。
4.根据权利要求1至3中至少一项的颜料组合物,其特征在于珍珠光泽颜料是一种干涉颜料,金色光泽颜料或一种金属光泽颜料。
5.根据权利要求1至4中至少一项的颜料组合物用作着色油漆,印刷油墨,塑料体系或涂料。
6.用根据权利要求1至4中至少一项的颜料着色的油漆、印刷油墨、塑料体系或涂料。
