技术领域
本发明涉及具有创新的特征并旨在适用于轴承单元的盒式密封装置(cassettesealing device)。尽管非排他地,但是本发明特别适于机动车的车轮轮毂组件,所述组件设置有轴承单元。这些应用包括如下两情况:轴承的外圈可旋转,而轴承的内圈固定(fixed)的情况,以及内圈可旋转,而外圈固定的相反情况。有利但非排他地,本发明适用于具有双列球的轴承单元。
背景技术
众所周知,轴承单元通常暴露于各种类型的污染物,例如悬浮在溶液中的颗粒物和/或微粒。因此,包括机动车的车轮轮毂组件的那些形成部件在内的轴承单元需要设置有适当的密封装置。
根据现有技术的密封装置的示例示出在图2中,图2示出了用于车轮轮毂组件的轴承单元的细节。该细节以示意的形式示出了轴承单元的相对于旋转轴线Z的主要组成部件,即固定的径向外圈1、可旋转的径向内圈2和滚动体3。
密封装置4是是盒式密封件(cassette seal),其由两部分构成并包括安装于径向内圈2的旋转部5和安装于径向外圈1的固定部6。根据该现有技术,密封件4的固定部6包括一对唇7、8,其由弹性材料制成、与旋转部接触并确保所述轴承单元的对内密封。如能够从图中所示的箭头看到的,该方案会使最靠外的唇的边缘暴露于可能穿过存在于旋转部与固定部之间的间隙渗入密封装置内部的水和污染物。

迷宫确实会较好地保护密封装置的外唇免受水和污染物的直接流动的影响。然而,同时,尽管被管理但是仍然渗入内部的污染物会无法流出并聚集在由“c”表示的区域中。随着遮蔽件9的长度的增大,放大了两个效果,第一个是正面效果,第二个是负面效果。
因此,该另一已知方案具有不期望的效果,无法去除聚集在其内部的泥土以及还存在的水,所述缺点会缩短车轮轮毂组件的使用寿命,从而导致唇的快速磨损和对整个轴承单元的操作的负面影响。
由于迷宫密封装置的其它已知方案需要大的径向空间,所以这些迷宫式方案具有如下缺点:它们使唇的设计不利,特别是限制了唇的径向延伸。
因此,对设计出不具有前述缺点的盒式密封装置存在需要。
发明内容
本发明的目的是提供例如用于车轮轮毂组件的轴承单元的盒式密封装置,所述装置提供了针对外部污染物的遮蔽功能,以及有利于排出已经渗入密封装置内部的污染物的尽管有限的流的几何形状。
一方面,该新型的方案设置具有迷宫功能的遮蔽件,迷宫功能用于保护唇免受水和污染物的直接流动(direct flow)的影响并朝向车轮轮毂组件的外部引导。
另一方面,迷宫方案使得已经渗入密封装置内部的水和污染物能够流出,为此必须优化具有迷宫功能的遮蔽件的尺寸,使得所述迷宫的长度足够小。以这种方式,水可以容易地冲走可能聚集在内部的任何泥土,或者在最坏的情况下,可以允许聚集忽略不计的泥土量。

显然的是,相同的试验印证了利用根据图4的方案(无编码器)获得的相同结果。简言之,如果遮蔽件63的轴向长度L3的尺寸大于唇53、54的厚度S的尺寸并小于唇53、54的厚度S的非整数倍M(等于1.75),则会获得抵抗外部污染物的屏障功能与允许排出已经聚集在密封装置内部的污染物的功能之间的良好平衡。

Claims (7)

1.一种用于轴承单元(30)的密封装置(50),所述密封装置(50)包括:
-旋转部(51);
-固定部(52);
-至少一个密封唇(53、54),其安装于所述固定部(52)用于接触所述旋转部(51)并具有预定的厚度(S);以及
-遮蔽件(55、63),其与所述固定部(52)形成迷宫密封,
所述密封装置的特征在于,所述遮蔽件(55、63)的轴向长度(L1、L2)的尺寸大于所述至少一个密封唇(53、54)的厚度(S)的尺寸并小于所述至少一个密封唇(53、54)的厚度(S)的非整数倍(M),所述非整数倍(M)等于1.75。
2.根据权利要求1所述的密封装置(50),其特征在于,所述非整数倍(M)等于1.50。
3.根据权利要求2所述的密封装置(50),其特征在于,所述非整数倍(M)等于1.25。
4.根据权利要求1至3中任一项所述的密封装置(50),其特征在于,所述密封装置(50)的旋转部(51)在径向靠外位置设置有所述遮蔽件(55)。
5.根据权利要求1至3中任一项所述的密封装置(50),其特征在于,所述密封装置(50)包括编码器(60),所述编码器(60)设置有金属插件(62)和所述遮蔽件(63),所述遮蔽件(63)在径向靠外位置稳定连接到所述金属插件(62)。
6.一种轴承单元(30),其设置有根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的密封装置(50)。
7.一种用于机动车的车轮轮毂组件(10),其包括轮毂(20)和根据权利要求6所述的轴承单元(30)。
