Abstract
本发明提供了一种莫来石质蜂窝陶瓷载体的配方及制备方法,采用矾土熟料、高岭土为主要原料,添加少量氧化镁与粘合剂,经混练并挤出成型,干燥后经450℃粗烧8小时后,在1200~1450℃下焙烧3~4小时,生成以莫来石晶相为主的载体。本发明采用的原料成本低,载体烧结温度范围宽,烧结过程易控制,粗坯强度好,载体与涂层结合良好。
Description
技术领域:
本发明涉及一种蜂窝陶瓷载体的制备方法,尤其涉及一种莫来石质蜂窝陶瓷载体的制备方法,该载体用于汽车尾气净化催化剂的载体,属于工业陶瓷技术或环保技术领域。
背景技术:
目前汽车尾气处理催化剂载体采用堇青石质,如公开号为CN1033455A的发明说明书所介绍的,堇青石质载体抗热震性良好,但生成温度范围窄,仅有30℃,因而烧结过程难以控制,烧结过程中有大量结构水排出,对强度有影响。
发明内容:
本发明的目的在于针对现有技术的不足,提供一种成本低廉,强度高的新型陶瓷载体,并使之制备工艺过程容易控制,稳定可靠。
为实现这样的目的,本发明在技术方案中采用矾土(经1100~1150焙烧过的熟料)及高岭土为主要原料,添加少量氧化镁与粘合剂,经成型、干燥后焙烧生成以莫来石晶相为主的载体。莫来石具有良好的高温力学及高温热学性能,具有高温结构强度高、高温蠕变率低、热膨胀率小、抗化学侵蚀性强、抗热震等优点,更主要的是载体烧结温度范围宽(1200~1450℃),因而对其烧结强度等因素易于控制。
本发明控制原料配比,使焙烧后其所生成主晶相为莫来石,原料配比如下:
矾土熟料(150目) 65~75%
高岭土(生料) 25~35%
氧化镁(150目) 0.5~1%
原料配比各组分含量之和为100%。
粘合剂采用2~5%的羧甲基纤维素和6%的氯化镁混合溶液。
本发明的制备方法为:将矾土熟料、高岭土与氧化镁混合后,加入粘合剂,进行混练并挤出成型,干燥后在450℃左右粗烧8小时后,在1200~1450℃下焙烧3~4小时,即得产品。
本发明采用在原料中添加少量氧化镁的方法,并使之与粘合剂中的氯化镁起作用,3~4小时后载体粗坯具有一定的强度,易于生产操作。
具体实施方式:
下面通过一个具体的实施例对本发明的技术方案及取得的效果进一步描述:
实施例1
将675公斤矾土、260公斤高岭土、8公斤氧化镁混合后,加入5%羧甲基纤维素及6%氯化镁的溶液,进行混练并挤出成型,干燥后在450℃左右预烧8小时,再升温至1200~1450℃左右焙烧3~4小时即得产品。
最后所得产品主晶相为莫来石,孔密度10~30孔/cm2,热膨胀系数为8.2~9.4×10-5/℃,强度17MPa,再上γ-Al2O3涂层后载体与涂层结合良好。
Claims (2)
1、一种莫来石质蜂窝陶瓷载体,其特征在于采用的原料配方为矾土熟料65~75%,高岭土25~35%,氧化镁0.5~1%,原料配比各组分含量之和为100%,粘合剂采用2~5%的羟甲基纤维素和6%的氯化镁混合溶液,产品主晶相为莫来石,孔密度10~30孔/cm2,热膨胀系数为8.2~9.4×10-5/℃,强度17MPa。
2、一种如权利要求1所说的莫来石质蜂窝陶瓷载体的制备方法,其特征在于将矾土熟料、高岭土与氧化镁混合后加入粘合剂,经混练并挤出成型,干燥后经450℃粗烧8小时后,在1200~1450℃下焙烧3~4小时。
