the network device responds to the book state updating request to update a book to be read of a user, and sends book information of the book to be read to the user device.
The following description is developed from both the user equipment and the network equipment, respectively.
User equipment aspect
According to one aspect of the application, a method for updating a book to be read is provided, which is applied to a user device. Referring to fig. 3, the method includes step S110, step S120, step S130, and step S140. In S110, the user equipment transmits an information acquisition request to the network equipment; in step S120, the user device receives book information of a candidate book returned by the network device based on the information acquisition request, where the candidate book includes a recommended book and a book to be read; in step S130, the user device sends a book status update request to the network device in response to a book marking operation of the user on at least one candidate book, wherein the candidate book on which the book marking operation is performed includes at least one recommended book; in step S140, the user device receives book information of an updated book to be read returned by the network device based on the request for the mark to be read, where the updated book to be read includes at least one recommended book.
Specifically, in S110, the user equipment transmits an information acquisition request to the network equipment. In some embodiments the information acquisition request is sent by the user equipment to the network device itself, e.g. the user equipment sends the information acquisition request to the network device at certain time intervals based on prior configuration information; in yet other embodiments, the information retrieval request is sent by the user device to the network device based on user operations on the user device, such as interactions on an interface of the user device.
In step S120, the user device receives book information of a candidate book returned by the network device based on the information acquisition request, where the candidate book includes a recommended book and a book to be read. Wherein, the book to be read is associated with the account number of the user in some embodiments, for example, when the electronic book is added into a "favorite" or a "bookshelf" of the user, the electronic book is the book to be read of the user, and the user can access the "favorite" or the "bookshelf" to obtain an access entry of the electronic book. While the recommended books are provided to the user by the system (e.g., by the network device) in some embodiments and are optionally marked as the aforementioned books to be read according to the marking operation by the user. The candidate books are used to provide a number of electronic books to a user for the user to perform a book marking operation on one or several of the electronic books, such as, without limitation, marking a recommended book as a user's book to be read (e.g., adding a "favorite" or "bookshelf"), or marking a user's book to be read as an electronic book that is preferentially read (including, but not limited to, increasing the priority of a current electronic book relative to other books to be read when the user device provides the electronic book to the user, such as "topping" the current electronic book in a list of books to be read). In various embodiments of the present application, the book information of the electronic book optionally includes, but is not limited to, a title, a book type, a data amount, a cover, a content summary, various thumbnails, copyright information, etc. of the electronic book, and in some embodiments, an identification of the electronic book (e.g., a book ID for distinguishing between different electronic books in the system). The book information of the electronic books can be displayed on the user equipment so that the user can quickly know the rough content of the corresponding electronic books. It should be understood that the above-mentioned book information is merely exemplary, and not any limitation of the present application, and that other existing or future possible book information may be applicable to the present application, and are also included in the scope of the present application and incorporated herein by reference.
In step S130, the user device sends a book status update request to the network device in response to a book marking operation of the user on at least one candidate book, wherein the candidate book on which the book marking operation is performed includes at least one recommended book. For example, for a recommended book, the book marking operation is used to mark the recommended book as a book to be read by the user; the network device marks the recommended books subjected to the book marking operation as books to be read of the user. For another example, for a book to be read, the book marking operation is used to raise the reading priority of the book to be read; the network device marks the books to be read, which are subjected to the book marking operation, as priority books of the user, for example, the priority of the books to be read relative to other books to be read when the user device displays each book to be read is improved.
In step S140, the user device receives book information of an updated book to be read returned by the network device based on the request for the mark to be read, where the updated book to be read includes at least one recommended book. For example, according to a book marking operation of a user, at least one recommended book is marked as a book to be read of the user.
For the labeling of recommended books as books to be read by a user, in some embodiments, step S130 described above includes sub-step S131 and sub-step S132 (neither shown). In step S131, the user equipment determines a to-be-read tag set by the user for at least one recommended book in response to the book tag operation of the user for the candidate books, where the candidate books subjected to the book tag operation include at least one recommended book; in step S132, the user device transmits a book status update request to the network device. The book state update request is used for the network device to update the to-be-read mark configured as the selected recommended book to be the to-be-read book corresponding to the user, so that the recommended book selected by the user is marked as the to-be-read book of the user (such as adding a favorite or a bookshelf), the complex operation is avoided, and the operation efficiency of the user is improved. In some embodiments, in step S131, the user device determines a to-be-read tag and a priority-read tag set by the user for at least one recommended book in response to the book marking operation of the user for the candidate books, where the candidate books subjected to the book marking operation include at least one recommended book. That is, when the recommended books are marked as books to be read, the recommended books marked as books to be read are marked as priority reading, so that a user accesses the recommended books marked as books to be read, and the utilization rate of the display device of the user equipment is improved.
Fig. 4 shows a user interface of a user device in an embodiment of the present application, where 6 candidate books are provided in the interface, including 2 recommended books and 4 books to be read. When the user selects the 6 books and clicks "put on top of bookshelf", the selected books will be preferentially presented in the list of books to be read of the user, for example, displayed on the screen shift part of the user equipment and above other books.
It should be appreciated that in some embodiments, a user may set one or several of the candidate books as a book to be read first, where the book marked as a book to be read first may be a book to be read (i.e., an electronic book that has been previously configured as a user's book to be read, e.g., that has been added to a "favorites" or "bookshelf" before the system provides the recommended book) in addition to the recommended book described above, to facilitate user access to the books to be read and to improve the utilization of the display device of the user device. Accordingly, in some embodiments, in step S130, the user device determines, in response to the book marking operation of the user on the candidate books, a priority reading mark of the user on at least one candidate book, where the candidate books on which the book marking operation is performed include at least one recommended book; and sending a book status update request to the network device. Wherein the book status update request is for the network device to update the priority reading indicia to the selected candidate book as a priority reading book relative to the user.
In some embodiments, the information acquisition request is sent to the network device by the user device based on the operation of the user on the user device, for example, the interaction operation on the interface of the user device, so as to acquire and provide corresponding information in real time when the user needs, thereby providing better real-time performance and reducing occupation of system resources. Specifically, in step S110, the user device sends an information acquisition request to the network device in response to a viewing operation of the book to be read by the user. For example, the user views a book on his "bookshelf" based on the viewing operation; in some embodiments, the user device detects that the user triggers a viewing operation of a list of books to be read (e.g., a "bookshelf") and determines that the user performed the viewing operation of the books to be read based on the operation.
In some embodiments, the user equipment receives book information of an updated book to be read returned by the network equipment based on the request for the mark to be read, and reading progress information of at least one book to be read, where the updated book to be read includes at least one recommended book; and then providing the progress information to be read for the user, so that the user can select the corresponding book to be read and read according to the progress information to be read. In particular, in some embodiments, the user device differently presents the books to be read based on the reading progress information of each book to be read, for example, presents the books to be read in different colors, fonts, dynamic effects, etc. (for example, presents books with faster reading progress in a more striking manner), so as to facilitate the user to quickly locate the books to be read that are about to be read in the list. In various embodiments of the present application, the expression form of the reading progress information of the electronic book includes, but is not limited to: the percentage of the total content that is read, the percentage of the total content that is unread, the time that reading is expected to be completed according to the historical reading speed of the user, the time that reading is expected to be completed according to the average reading speed of other users, etc., and these expressions are merely examples and are not limiting of the present application, and other expressions that may be present or may occur in future are included within the scope of the present application as they are also included herein by reference.
In some embodiments, in order to save the storage space of the user and improve the display utilization rate of the display device of the user equipment, in step S110, if the number of books to be read by the user exceeds a preset number threshold, the user equipment sends an information acquisition request to the network equipment.
In some embodiments, the network device determines the candidate book based on identification information of the user device, e.g., the network device determines an identity of the user based on the identification information, and further determines the candidate book based on the identity of the user. The information acquisition request includes identification information of the user equipment, accordingly. In step S120, the user device receives book information of a candidate book returned by the network device based on the identification information, where the candidate book includes a recommended book and a book to be read. The identification information of the user device described above may include, but is not limited to, identity information of the user (for example, a user account number of the user logged in on the user device) or a hardware identification of the user device (for example, a serial number, IMEI, MAC address, etc.).
Network equipment aspect
In accordance with the above-described embodiments, according to another aspect of the present application, there is also provided a method for updating a book to be read, applied to a network device. Referring to fig. 5, the method includes steps S210, S220, S230, S240, S250 and S260. In step S210, the network device receives an information acquisition request sent by the user device; in step S220, the network device determines a candidate book based on the book to be read and at least one recommended book in response to the information acquisition request; in step S230, the network device sends the book information of the candidate books to the user device; in step S240, the network device receives a book status update request sent by the user device based on the book information of the candidate book; in step S250, the network device responds to the book status update request to update the book to be read of the user; and in step S260, the network device sends the book information of the book to be read to the user device.
Specifically, in step S210, the network device receives an information acquisition request sent by the user device. In some embodiments the information acquisition request is sent by the user equipment to the network equipment itself; in yet other embodiments, the information acquisition request is sent by the user device to the network device based on user operations on the user device. Subsequently, in step S220, the network device determines, in response to the information acquisition request, a candidate book based on the book to be read and at least one recommended book. For example, the network device determines the recommended books and the books to be read of the user, and then selects one or several electronic books from the determined recommended books and books to be read as the candidate books.
In step S230, the network device transmits the book information of the candidate book to the user device.
In step S240, the network device receives a book status update request sent by the user device based on the book information of the candidate book; in step S250, the network device updates the book to be read of the user in response to the book status update request. For example, the book status update request is generated based on a book marking operation of the user; for a recommended book, the book marking operation is used for marking the recommended book as a book to be read of a user, and the network equipment marks the recommended book subjected to the book marking operation as the book to be read of the user based on a corresponding book state updating request; for another example, for a book to be read, the book marking operation is used to raise the reading priority of the book to be read, and the network device marks the book to be read, on which the book marking operation is performed, as a priority book of the user based on the corresponding book status update request, for example, to raise the priority of the book to be read relative to other books to be read when the user device displays each book to be read. In step S260, the network device sends the updated book information of the books to be read to the user device, for example, after the list of books to be read of the user is updated, the network device sends the book information of each book to be read to the user device based on the list of books to be read, and provides the updated books to be read to the user in time.
In some embodiments, the aforementioned information acquisition request includes identification information of the user equipment. The network device determines the candidate book based on the identification information of the user device, e.g., the network device determines the identity of the user based on the identification information and further determines the candidate book based on the identity of the user. Specifically, the step S220 includes a sub-step S221 and a sub-step S222 (both not shown). In sub-step S221, the network device determines the book to be read and at least one recommended book of the user based on the identification information in response to the information acquisition request, for example, the network device determines a plurality of electronic books (books to be read of the user) associated to the user based on the identity information of the user, determines the reading preference of the user based on the identity information of the user, and determines the recommended book to provide to the user based on the reading preference; in sub-step S222, the network device determines a candidate book, wherein the candidate book includes the recommended book and at least one book to be read (e.g. one or more books are selected from all books to be read and provided to the user), so that the user is not required to find a new electronic book and to find a book in the list of books to be read.
In some embodiments, in the step S221, the network device responds to the information obtaining request, determines a book to be read of the user based on the identification information, and determines at least one recommended book based on the average user reading progress information of at least one available book, for example, determines the available book with the average reading progress reaching a certain preset progress threshold as the recommended book, thereby greatly reducing the recommended books with poor reading experience to the user and improving the user experience. In some embodiments, the available books are electronic books that the user currently has permission to access among the electronic books provided or stored by the network device; in other embodiments, the available books are selected from a set of electronic books determined based on identity information of the user. In particular, in some embodiments, the network device first determines the aforementioned available books. Accordingly, in the above step S221, the network device determines, in response to the information acquisition request, the book to be read by the user and the available book of the user based on the identification information, for example, the available book of the user is determined according to the access right of the user (for example, the access right is determined based on whether the user pays for the user or not), or the available book of the user is determined based on the user' S own preference setting (for example, the user designates the reading tendency thereof in advance), thereby realizing the personalized recommendation experience; the network device then determines at least one recommended book based on the average user reading progress information for the available books.
In some embodiments, step S220 described above includes sub-step S223 and sub-step S224 (neither shown). In step S223, the network device determines a book to be read of the user in response to the information acquisition request, and determines at least one recommended book based on service rating information of available books of the user; in step S224, the network device determines a candidate book, wherein the candidate book includes at least one book to be read and the recommended book. Wherein the business ratings of the available books correspond in some embodiments to business information such as sales, profitability, payment conversion rate, etc. of the respective books; based on the service rating information, the recommended books are determined, service popularization efficiency can be improved, and meanwhile, books with better service ratings can also improve reading experience of readers, so that resource allocation is optimized. Wherein in some embodiments, the information acquisition request includes identification information of the user equipment; in the step S224, the network device determines the book to be read of the user based on the identification information; and determining a candidate book, wherein the candidate book comprises the recommended book and at least one book to be read. For example, the network device determines the identity of the user based on the identification information and further determines the candidate book based on the identity of the user.
In some embodiments, when determining the books candidate, the network device determines at least one book to be read as a book candidate based on the reading progress information of each book to be read, and determines the recommended book as a book candidate. For example, one or a plurality of books to be read with the fastest reading progress (for example, the highest reading completion rate) are used as candidate books, so that a user can adjust the books to be read into books with priority reading, and complete reading as soon as possible. Therefore, the user can be prevented from forgetting to read the book to be read which is about to be read. For example, as more books are added to a "favorites" or "bookshelf," a portion of the books that have been previously read may be forgotten by "squeezing out" the display area of the user device and occupy some storage space and the amount of the "favorites" or "bookshelf.
In addition, in some embodiments, when determining the books candidate, the network device traverses the books to be read, determines the books to be read whose access time is up to the target time from the current time as the books candidate, and determines the recommended books as the books candidate. For example, one or several books to be read, which have reached a certain time since the last access, are taken as candidate books, so that the user adjusts such books to be read to books that are read preferentially, and finishes reading as soon as possible. Therefore, the problem that the user forgets books which are read before a period of time but are not read yet can be avoided, and the reading experience is reduced due to the fact that the context of the books is forgotten after a period of time is prolonged can be avoided. For example, as more books are added to a "favorites" or "bookshelf," a portion of the books that have been previously read may be forgotten by "squeezing out" the display area of the user device and occupy some storage space and the amount of the "favorites" or "bookshelf. In order to avoid the degradation of the reading experience caused by forgetting the context and reduce the disturbance of the user due to frequent content update, in some embodiments, the network device traverses the book to be read, determines that the access time reaches the target duration from the current time and the content update capacity satisfies the preset update capacity condition (for example, the number of chapters or words updated since the last time the corresponding book has been accessed reaches a predetermined value), and determines that the recommended book is a candidate book.
In some embodiments, the book status update request described above is optionally used to mark one or several recommended books as books to be read (e.g., add a "favorites" or "bookshelf"); accordingly, in the step S250, the network device responds to the book status update request to update the to-be-read flag to the selected recommended book to the to-be-read book, so as to update the to-be-read book of the user. In these embodiments or other embodiments, the book status update request may be further used to update one or several books candidate (including the book to be read, optionally including the recommended book) to a book to be read preferentially, thereby updating the book to be read of the user. Therefore, the system provides a certain degree of operation freedom for the user while recommending books for the user, and the user can customize books to be read according to the situation of the user under the condition that the system provides the candidate books, so that subsequent reading is facilitated.
