and the network equipment responds to the book state updating request to update the book to be read of the user and sends book information of the book to be read to the user equipment.
The following description is made in terms of user equipment and network equipment, respectively.
Aspects of user equipment
According to one aspect of the application, a method for updating a book to be read is provided, which is applied to a user device. Referring to fig. 3, the method includes step S110, step S120, step S130, and step S140. In S110, the user equipment sends an information acquisition request to the network device; in step S120, the user equipment receives book information of a candidate book returned by the network equipment based on the information acquisition request, where the candidate book includes a recommended book and a book to be read; in step S130, the user equipment sends a book status update request to the network equipment in response to a book marking operation performed on at least one candidate book by the user, where the candidate book on which the book marking operation is performed includes at least one recommended book; in step S140, the user equipment receives book information of an updated book to be read, which is returned by the network equipment based on the request for the mark to be read, where the updated book to be read includes at least one recommended book.
Specifically, in S110, the user equipment transmits an information acquisition request to the network equipment. In some embodiments, the information acquisition request is sent by the user equipment to the network equipment, for example, the user equipment sends the information acquisition request to the network equipment at a certain time interval based on the previous configuration information; in yet other embodiments, the information acquisition request is sent by the user device to the network device based on user operation on the user device, such as interactive operation on an interface of the user device.
In step S120, the user equipment receives book information of a candidate book returned by the network equipment based on the information acquisition request, where the candidate book includes a recommended book and a book to be read. Where the book to be read is associated with the user's account number in some embodiments, for example, when an electronic book is added to the user's "favorite" or "bookshelf," the electronic book is the user's book to be read, and the user may access its "favorite" or "bookshelf" to gain access to the electronic book. And the recommended book is provided to the user by the system (e.g., by a network device) in some embodiments and optionally marked as the aforementioned book to be read according to the user's marking operation. The candidate books are used for providing a number of electronic books to the user for the user to perform a book marking operation on one or a number of the electronic books, for example, but not limited to, the book marking operation is used for marking the recommended books as books to be read by the user (for example, adding a "favorite" or a "bookshelf") or for marking the books to be read by the user as electronic books to be read preferentially (including but not limited to, increasing the priority of the current electronic book relative to other books to be read when the user device provides the electronic books to the user, for example, putting the current electronic book "on top" in a list of books to be read). In various embodiments of the present application, the book information of the electronic book optionally includes (but is not limited to) a title, book type, data amount, cover, content summary, various thumbnails, copyright information, etc. of the electronic book, and in some embodiments also includes an identification of the electronic book (e.g., book ID, for distinguishing different electronic books in the system). The book information of the electronic book can be displayed on the user equipment, so that the user can quickly know the approximate content of the corresponding electronic book. It should be understood that the above-mentioned book information is only an example and not a limitation of the present application, and other existing or future book information, if applicable, is also included in the scope of the present application and is included by reference.
In step S130, the user device sends a book status update request to the network device in response to a book marking operation performed on at least one candidate book by the user, where the candidate book on which the book marking operation is performed includes at least one recommended book. For example, for a recommended book, the book marking operation is used for marking the recommended book as a book to be read by the user; and the network equipment marks the recommended book subjected to the book marking operation as the book to be read of the user. For another example, for a book to be read, the book marking operation is used to raise the reading priority of the book to be read; the network device marks the book to be read subjected to the book marking operation as a book to be read preferentially by the user, for example, the priority of the book to be read relative to other books to be read is raised when the user device displays each book to be read.
In step S140, the user equipment receives book information of an updated book to be read, which is returned by the network equipment based on the request for the mark to be read, where the updated book to be read includes at least one recommended book. For example, according to the book marking operation of the user, at least one recommended book is marked as the book to be read of the user.
For books to be read that mark the recommended books as users, in some embodiments, the step S130 includes a sub-step S131 and a sub-step S132 (both not shown). In step S131, the user equipment determines, in response to a book marking operation performed on the candidate book by the user, a mark to be read that is set by the user for at least one recommended book, where the candidate book on which the book marking operation is performed includes the at least one recommended book; in step S132, the user device sends a book status update request to the network device. The book state updating request is used for the network equipment to update the selected recommended book to be read, so that the recommended book selected by the user is marked as the book to be read by the user (for example, a favorite or a bookshelf is added), complicated operation is avoided, and the operation efficiency of the user is improved. In some embodiments, in step S131, the user equipment determines the to-be-read mark and the preferential reading mark set by the user for at least one recommended book in response to the book marking operation performed on the candidate book by the user, where the candidate book on which the book marking operation is performed includes the at least one recommended book. In other words, the recommended books marked as the books to be read are marked as the preferential reading at the same time, so that the user can access the recommended books marked as the books to be read, and the utilization rate of the display device of the user equipment is improved.
Fig. 4 shows a user interface of a user device in an embodiment of the present application, where 6 candidate books, including 2 recommended books and 4 books to be read, are provided in the interface. When the user selects the 6 candidate books and clicks "put on top of bookshelf", the selected books will be preferentially presented in the list of books to be read by the user, for example, displayed on the screen of the user device on work and above other books.
It should be understood that the user may in some embodiments set one or several of the candidate books as a preferentially read book, wherein the books marked as preferentially read may be books to be read (i.e. electronic books that have been previously configured as the user's books to be read, such as being added to a "favorite" or "bookshelf" before the system provides the recommended books), in addition to the case of a recommended book as described above, in order to facilitate user access to the books to be read and to increase the utilization of the display of the user device. Accordingly, in some embodiments, in step S130, the user device determines, in response to a book marking operation performed on the aforementioned candidate books by the user, a preferential reading mark of the user on at least one candidate book, where the candidate book on which the book marking operation is performed includes at least one recommended book; and sending a book status update request to the network device. Wherein the book status update request is for the network device to update the candidate book with the priority reading flag configured as the selected candidate book to the priority reading book relative to the user.
In some embodiments, the information acquisition request is sent to the network device by the user device based on an operation of the user on the user device, for example, an interactive operation on an interface of the user device, so that the corresponding information is acquired and provided in real time when the user needs the corresponding information, so as to provide better real-time performance and reduce occupation of system resources. Specifically, in step S110, the user device sends an information acquisition request to the network device in response to a user' S viewing operation of a book to be read. For example, the user views a book on his "bookshelf" based on the viewing operation; in some embodiments, the user device detects that the user triggers a viewing operation on a list of books to be read (e.g., "bookshelf"), and determines that the user performs the viewing operation on the books to be read based on the operation.
In some embodiments, the user equipment receives book information of an updated book to be read, which is returned by the network equipment based on the request for the mark to be read, and reading progress information of at least one book to be read, wherein the updated book to be read comprises at least one recommended book; and then providing the information of the progress to be read for the user so that the user can select and read the corresponding book to be read according to the information of the progress to be read. In particular, in some embodiments, the user device distinguishes the book to be read based on the reading progress information of each book to be read, for example, presents the book to be read in different colors, fonts, dynamic effects, and the like (for example, presents the book with faster reading progress in a more striking manner), so that the user can quickly locate the book to be read that is about to be read out in the list. In various embodiments of the present application, the expression form of the reading progress information of the electronic book includes, but is not limited to: the percentage of the read content to the whole content, the percentage of the unread content to the whole content, the time of completing the reading predicted according to the historical reading speed of the user, the time of completing the reading predicted according to the average reading speed of other users, etc. are only examples and not intended to limit the present application, and other existing or future representations that may appear, such as the representations that can be applied to the present application, are also included in the scope of the present application and are included by reference.
In some embodiments, to save the storage space of the user and improve the display utilization of the display device of the user equipment, in step S110, if the number of books to be read by the user exceeds a preset number threshold, the user equipment sends an information acquisition request to the network device.
In some embodiments, the network device determines the candidate book based on identification information of the user device, e.g., the network device determines an identity of the user based on the identification information and further determines the candidate book based on the identity of the user. Correspondingly, the information acquisition request comprises identification information of the user equipment. In step S120, the user equipment receives book information of a candidate book returned by the network equipment based on the identification information, where the candidate book includes a recommended book and a book to be read. The identification information of the user equipment may include, but is not limited to, identity information of the user (e.g., a user account that the user logs in on the user equipment) or hardware identification of the user equipment (e.g., a serial number, an IMEI, a MAC address, etc.).
Aspects of network devices
In accordance with another aspect of the present application, there is provided a method for updating a book to be read, which is applied to a network device. Referring to fig. 5, the method includes steps S210, S220, S230, S240, S250, and S260. In step S210, the network device receives an information acquisition request sent by the user equipment; in step S220, the network device determines a candidate book based on the book to be read and at least one recommended book in response to the information acquisition request; in step S230, the network device sends book information of the candidate book to the user device; in step S240, the network device receives a book status update request sent by the user device based on the book information of the candidate book; in step S250, the network device updates the book to be read of the user in response to the book status update request; in step S260, the network device sends the book information of the book to be read to the user device.
Specifically, in step S210, the network device receives an information acquisition request sent by the user equipment. In some embodiments, the information acquisition request is sent by the user equipment to the network equipment; in yet other embodiments, the information acquisition request is sent by the user device to the network device based on operation of the user on the user device. Subsequently, in step S220, the network device determines a candidate book based on the book to be read and the at least one recommended book in response to the information obtaining request. For example, the network device determines a recommended book and a book to be read of the user, and then selects one or several electronic books from the determined recommended book and the book to be read as candidate books.
In step S230, the network device sends book information of the candidate book to the user device.
In step S240, the network device receives a book status update request sent by the user device based on the book information of the candidate book; in step S250, the network device updates the book to be read of the user in response to the book status update request. For example, the book status update request is generated based on a book marking operation by the user; for a recommended book, book marking operation is used for marking the recommended book as a book to be read of a user, and the network equipment marks the recommended book subjected to the book marking operation as the book to be read of the user based on a corresponding book state updating request; for another example, for a book to be read, the book marking operation is used to raise the reading priority of the book to be read, and the network device marks the book to be read, on which the book marking operation is performed, as a book to be read preferentially by the user based on the corresponding book status update request, for example, raising the priority of the book to be read relative to other books to be read when the user device displays each book to be read. In step S260, the network device sends the updated book information of the book to be read to the user device, for example, after the book list of the user to be read is updated, the network device sends the book information of each book to be read to the user device based on the book list to be read, so as to provide the updated book to be read to the user in time.
In some embodiments, the aforementioned information acquisition request includes identification information of the user equipment. The network device determines the candidate book based on the identification information of the user device, e.g., the network device determines the identity of the user based on the identification information and further determines the candidate book based on the identity of the user. Specifically, the step S220 includes a sub-step S221 and a sub-step S222 (both not shown). In sub-step S221, in response to the information obtaining request, the network device determines a book to be read of the user and at least one recommended book based on the identification information, for example, the network device determines a number of electronic books (books to be read of the user) associated with the user based on the identity information of the user, determines reading preferences of the user based on the identity information of the user, and determines the recommended book based on the reading preferences to provide to the user; in the sub-step S222, the network device determines candidate books, where the candidate books include the recommended book and at least one book to be read (for example, one or more books are selected from all books to be read and provided to the user), so as to avoid the trouble of the user finding a new electronic book and finding a book in the list of books to be read.
In some embodiments, in step S221, in response to the information obtaining request, the network device determines, based on the identification information, a book to be read of the user, and determines, based on the user average reading progress information of at least one available book, at least one recommended book, for example, an available book whose average reading progress reaches a certain preset progress threshold is determined as a recommended book, so that books with poor reading experience are greatly reduced from being recommended to the user, and user experience is improved. In some embodiments, the available book is an electronic book that a user currently has a right to access in an electronic book provided or stored by the network device; in other embodiments, the available books are selected from a set of electronic books determined according to identity information of the user. In particular, in some embodiments, the network device first determines the aforementioned available books. Accordingly, in the step S221, in response to the information obtaining request, the network device determines, based on the identification information, the book to be read by the user and the available book of the user, for example, the available book of the user is determined according to the access right of the user (for example, the access right is determined based on whether the user pays the fee), or the available book of the user is determined based on the preference setting of the user (for example, the user specifies the reading tendency in advance), so as to implement a personalized recommendation experience; and then the network equipment determines at least one recommended book based on the user average reading progress information of the available books.
In some embodiments, step S220 described above includes sub-step S223 and sub-step S224 (both not shown). In step S223, the network device determines the book to be read of the user in response to the information acquisition request, and determines at least one recommended book based on the service rating information of the available books of the user; in step S224, the network device determines candidate books, wherein the candidate books include at least one book to be read and the recommended book. Wherein, the service rating of the available books corresponds to the service information such as sales volume, profitability, payment conversion rate and the like of the corresponding books in some embodiments; and determining to recommend books based on the service rating information can improve service promotion efficiency, and meanwhile, books with better service ratings can also improve reading experience of reader users, so that resource allocation is optimized. Wherein in some embodiments, the information acquisition request includes identification information of the user equipment; in the step S224, the network device determines the book to be read of the user based on the identification information; and determining candidate books, wherein the candidate books comprise the recommended book and at least one book to be read. For example, the network device determines the identity of the user based on the identification information, and further determines the candidate book based on the identity of the user.
In some embodiments, when determining the candidate books, the network device determines at least one book to be read as a candidate book based on the reading progress information of the books to be read, and determines the recommended book as a candidate book. For example, one or several books to be read with the fastest reading progress (for example, the highest reading completion rate) are taken as candidate books, so that the user can adjust the books to be read to the books to be read preferentially and finish reading as soon as possible. Therefore, the problem that the user forgets the book to be read which is about to be read can be avoided. For example, as more and more books are added to the "favorite" or "bookshelf", a part of the books that have been read previously may be forgotten by being "pushed out" of the display range of the user device, and occupy a certain storage space and the amount of the "favorite" or "bookshelf".
In addition, in some embodiments, when determining the candidate book, the network device traverses the book to be read, determines the book to be read whose access time is equal to the target time length from the current time as the candidate book, and determines the recommended book as the candidate book. For example, one or several books to be read that have reached a certain time since the last access are taken as candidate books, so that the user adjusts such books to be read as books to be read preferentially and finishes reading as soon as possible. Therefore, the problem that a user forgets a book which is read before a certain time but is not read yet can be avoided, and the reading experience is reduced due to the fact that the context of the book is forgotten after the time is too long is avoided. For example, as more and more books are added to the "favorite" or "bookshelf", a part of the books that have been read previously may be forgotten by being "pushed out" of the display range of the user device, and occupy a certain storage space and the amount of the "favorite" or "bookshelf". In some embodiments, in order to avoid the decrease in reading experience caused by forgetting of context and reduce the disturbance of the user due to frequent content update reminders for books (e.g., novels in continuous loading) whose contents are still newly added by the author, the network device traverses the book to be read, determines, as a candidate book, a book to be read whose access time reaches a target duration from the current time and whose content update capacity satisfies a preset update capacity condition (e.g., the number of chapters or the number of words of the corresponding book updated since the last access reaches a predetermined value), and determines the recommended book as the candidate book.
In some embodiments, the book status update request is optionally used to mark one or several recommended books as books to be read (e.g., join a "favorite" or "bookshelf"); accordingly, in the step S250, in response to the book status update request, the network device updates the recommended book to be read, which is configured by the mark to be read, to the book to be read, which is selected by the user, so as to update the book to be read of the user. In these embodiments or other embodiments, the book status update request is further optionally used to update one or several candidate books (including the book to be read, and optionally also including the recommended book) to the book to be read preferentially, so as to update the book to be read of the user. Therefore, the system provides a certain degree of freedom of operation for the user while providing recommended books for the user, and the user can customize the books to be read according to the situation of the user under the condition that the system provides candidate books, so that subsequent reading is facilitated.
