Abstract

The invention discloses an IC communication system and a method, comprising the following steps: the simulation reset device, the target IC and the interaction IC; the simulation reset device is used for acquiring the reset authority of the target IC after a server system is powered on and before a master control IC of the target IC is started, and sending a reset signal to the target IC; the target IC is used for receiving the reset signal sent by the analog reset device and completing resetting to enter a ready state; the interaction IC is used for carrying out information interaction with the target IC. The IC communication system and the method provided by the invention ensure that the target IC is in a normal starting state for completing the reset in the starting process of the interactive IC, and improve the reliability of the server system.

Technical Field
The present invention relates to the technical field of server systems, and in particular, to an IC communication system and method.
Background
With the development of storage and server systems, board card integration and complexity are higher and higher. Communication interaction scenes among multiple ICs often appear on the same single board. As shown in fig. 1, in the prior art, after the server system is powered on in the normal state, the reset signal of the target IC comes from the master IC. When the interactive IC performs communication interaction with the target IC, the target IC is required to enter a ready state during the starting process of the interactive IC. However, the starting time of the main control IC cannot be controlled, and the reset signal sending time of the main control IC for the target IC in different batches is not fixed due to the manufacturing process, the process and the like. Therefore, when the sending time of the reset signal aiming at the target IC is later than the interaction time of the interaction IC and the target IC, the communication function between the interaction IC and the target IC is abnormal, and the normal communication interaction can be completed only by reloading the opposite side drive after the interaction IC and the target IC are reset, so that the reliability of the server system is reduced.
From the above, it can be seen that how to ensure the target IC is in a state of completing reset during the starting process of the interactive IC is a problem to be solved at present.
Disclosure of Invention
The invention aims to provide an IC communication system and method, which aim to solve the problem that in the prior art, as the starting time of a main control IC of a target IC cannot be controlled, the sending time of a reset signal of the target IC is not fixed, so that the target IC cannot be ensured to be reset in the starting process of an interactive IC.
To solve the above technical problem, the present invention provides an IC communication system, including:

Detailed Description
The core of the invention is to provide an IC communication system and method, which ensure that the target IC is in a normal starting state when the interactive IC and the target IC are communicated, and improve the overall performance of the server system.

In this embodiment, the analog reset device is further configured to: detecting whether the master control IC is normally started; and if the master control IC is detected to be normally started, transferring the reset authority of the target IC to the master control IC.
The simulation reset device can also record the starting time of the master control IC and judge whether the starting time of the master control IC is greater than a preset starting time threshold value. And if the starting time of the main control IC is longer than the preset starting time threshold, judging that the starting time of the main control IC is too long.
In this embodiment, the target IC in the IC communication system may be an NIC chip, the interactive IC may be a BMC chip, and the main control IC may be a PCH chip. In other embodiments provided by the present invention, each IC in the IC communication system may also be another chip.
The IC communication system provided in this embodiment starts to acquire the reset authority of the target IC through the analog reset module when the system is powered on, so as to ensure that the target IC has completed resetting and enters a ready state when the IC interacts with the target IC to communicate with the target IC. The simulation reset device completes the transfer of the reset authority after detecting that the main control IC of the target IC is normally started, so that the abnormity of the board card function caused by the factors of uncontrollable starting time of the main control IC and the like is avoided, and the reliability of the server system is further improved.

The upper OS is used for generating early warning information with too long starting time of the main control IC to the upper OS when the simulation reset module detects that the starting time of the main control IC exceeds a preset time threshold. The indication module is connected with the analog reset device through the serial port module; the indication module is used for acquiring and externally indicating the real-time working state of the simulation reset device through the serial port module; the serial port module is used for connecting external equipment and the simulation reset device, so that the external equipment and the simulation reset device can carry out information interaction. The wireless module is used for converting the serial port module signal into wireless signals such as WIFI (wireless fidelity), so that external equipment can perform information interaction with the simulation reset device without being applied to an entity serial port line.
The indication module is further configured to: when the reset simulation device detects that the starting time of the master control IC is longer than a preset time threshold value, the serial port module sends the early warning information that the starting time of the master control IC is too long to the indication module, so that a worker can maintain the master control IC.

In this embodiment, the analog reset device apparatus is utilized; after a server system is powered on and before a master control IC of a target IC is started, acquiring the reset authority of the target IC, and transmitting a reset signal to the target IC, so that the target IC is ensured to be normally started before an interactive IC is started. The method provided by the embodiment solves the problems that in the prior art, the time for sending the reset signal to the target IC cannot be determined because the starting time of the master control IC is not controlled, so that the target IC cannot be ensured to be in a normal starting state when the interactive IC sends the interactive information to the target IC, and the reliability of the server system is reduced; the reliability of the server system is improved.
Based on the above embodiments, in this embodiment, detecting whether the master control IC completes starting further includes recording a start duration of the master control IC, and determining whether the start duration is too long. step S504: when the master control IC is detected to be started, transferring the reset authority of the target IC to the master control IC;
step S505: judging whether the starting time of the master control IC is greater than a preset starting time threshold or not;
step S507: and if the starting time of the master control IC is longer than the preset starting time threshold, sending early warning information that the starting time of the master control IC is too long to a worker.
In this embodiment, the simulation reset device is used for judging the starting time of the master control IC, and when detecting that the starting time of the master control IC is too long, the simulation reset device sends early warning information to a worker; therefore, the abnormity of the functions of the board cards of the server system caused by the factors such as the overlong starting time of the main control IC and the like is avoided.

wherein the analog reset device is further configured to: detecting whether a master control IC of the target IC is started; and after detecting that the master control IC of the target IC is started, transferring the reset authority of the target IC to the master control IC.
