Abstract

Description

本发明涉及诸如盒式录像机(VCR)或激光视盘放像机的视频信号源,这些VCR或激光视盘放像机可以重放以宽屏幕格式(即16×9宽高比)预录的电视画面。
具有16×9宽高比显象管的NTSC电视装置和将4×3宽高比NTSC信号转换为适于在16×9显示器上显示的格式转换器现已得到利用。因此需要使录像带可以以NTSC格式以电方式重放信号,但却以光学方式以16×9宽高比生成图像。这些信号可由特殊的镜头或16×9CCD摄像机产生。于1990年1月30日颁布(在此引作参考)的名为“WIDE-SCREEN    TELEVISION    TRANSMISSION    SYSTEM    UTILIZING    CONVENTIONAL    EQUIPMENT    INCLUDING    A    CAMERA    AND    VCR”的美国专利4,897,722(Flory)公开了一种系统,其中,采用变型镜头的传统NTSC格式摄像机还可产生16×9宽高比的图像。也就是说,变型镜头以4/3的系数水平地压缩图象,这是一个当在较宽的16×9宽高比的显示屏上显示时自动出现的、用以补偿以4/3的系数对4×3宽高比NTSC图象扩展的平衡量。
如果这种光学压缩的NTSC视频信号在标准4×3电视接收机上重放,则出现的图像高度正确而宽度被压缩,即“瘦缩”。然而,如上所述,当这些信号在16×9宽高比的显示屏上显示时,4×3宽高比信号的水平扩展自动出现,因为在这两种宽高比的图象中,对单个水平行扫描的时间是相同的。换言之,同量的视频数据以与电子束扫过16×9宽高比显示屏的较长距离所用的时间相同的时间在较长距离上散布。
遗憾的是,如果标准4×3图像在16×9显示屏上显示,则引发同样的自动水平扩展,使图像上的每个物体“胖涨”。为了防止这种不希望的显示,通常通过在4×3图象的各侧显示黑带来填满16×9屏幕的其余部分而以适当的4×3宽高比在16×9显示屏上显示4×3图像。1991年5月29日提交、1991年12月12日以WO91/19397公开的Willis的名为“SYNCHRONIZING    SIDE    BY    SIDE    PICTURES”(在此引作参考)的国际专利申请PCT/US91/03746公开了一种系统,其中4×3图像被“加速”,以使视频数据能以较快的速率读出且避免出现抻长。
显然,16×9宽高比电视接收机应能较好地在宽屏幕的整个屏展上显示光学压缩的16×9NTSC信号,且以带有黑带的4×3宽高比较好地显示4×3视频信号。存在的问题在于:光学发生的16×9压缩的NTSC视频信号很难从标准4×3NTSC视频信号中区分开来。因此,无法检测视频信号流及自动引导电视机显示图象(即16×9或带黑带的4×3)。
盒式录像机或激光视盘放像机包括用于检测由录像带、盒式磁带或激光视盘提供的编码的电路,该电路提示在录像带或视盘上录下的材料是以压缩形式录制的并能较好地在16×9电视机上重放。根据对该编码的检测,录像机或激光视盘放像机将直流信号加到其S-Video联接器的色度输出端子上。电视接收机中的该电路检测其S-Video输入联接器色度端子上的直流信号,并控制宽屏幕处理器扩展图象以将其充满在16×9显示屏的整个屏展上。

图2a、2b和2c示出有助于理解本发明的电视图像显示。
参见图1,盒式录像机100经立体声音频信号线L和R、S-Video电缆和导线C耦合到电视接收机150上,S-Video电缆包括用于传送亮度信息的导线Y,导线C用于传送基带电视视频信号的色度信息。
图2a是显示以黑垂直边带填满宽屏幕显示区其余部分的标准4×3电视图像的宽屏幕电视接收机的示图。需要使电视接收机150能以此方式显示从盒式录像机100上接收的4×3图像信息。图2b是水平地光学压缩的视频图像的示图,好像是在4×3宽高比的显示屏上显示的一样,并且仅是使用上述变型镜头后的视频图像的视觉效果的帮助而已。图2c是好像在16×9宽高比显示屏上的同一水平地光学压缩的视频图像。请注意,图像以其曾被压缩量完全相同的量被水平抻长而产生无畸变图像。这种自动抻长的原因是由于16×9宽高比的显示屏比4×3宽高比的图像正好大出4倍和3倍。必须对电视机提供某些提示以表明图像是未被压缩的并且将以图2a形式显示或图像是光学(或数字)水平压缩的并应被扩展以如图2c所示显示在整个屏幕上。
图1示出用于提供这种提示的电路。假定以光学(或数字)水平压缩的视频信号预录的录像带插入到录像机100的走带机构105中用于重放。一个表示现在插入的录像带是以光学(或数字)水平压缩的视频信号(以下称“宽屏幕NTSC”信号)预录的编码可录在磁带上。换一种方式,盒式录像带也可以某种形式改变,诸如在其上形成小孔,这样能否对其机械啮合,就使一个开关提供磁带录有宽屏幕NTSC信号的信息。
16×9宽高比检测器检测磁带是预录有宽屏幕NTSC信号的信息,且闭合开关SW1,使约5伏的直流电平经限流电阻R102加到录像机的输出S-Video联接器的色度端子C上。从对录像带的重放中恢复的色度信号从色度处理器102经源电阻R101和电容C1加到同一端子上。电容器C1用作两个功能;将高频信号耦合到输出端,将直流宽屏幕NTSC提示信号从色度处理器102上分离开。
电视接收机150包括检测存在直流宽屏幕NTSC提示信号的电路。直流电平经包括电阻R120和R122的分压器加到开关晶体管Q1的基极。晶体管Q1安置成共发射极形式且其集电极电阻R124选择得甚至在输入直流电平只有如2.5伏那么低时仍能出现饱和。在Q1集电极产生的信号加到宽屏幕处理器电路WSP(未示出)以根据在Q1集电极的低电平改变显示模式为图2c的形式,或者,根据在Q1集电极的高电平改变为图2a的形式。电容器C4是一个滤波电容器,用于滤除来自晶体管Q1基极的色度信号的任何残余。
直流宽屏幕NTSC信号被对直流信号呈现高阻抗的电容器C2从彩色处理电路中隔离开来。电容器C2对在S-Video信号色度分量频率的交流信号呈现低阻抗(近于零)。电阻R130是一个75Ω的端接电阻,以较好地端接色度线。电阻器R131是低值电阻器,它与背靠背联接的齐纳二极管Z1和Z2一起对数字梳状滤波器140提供电压过冲保护。电容器C3防止75Ω端接电阻器将数字梳状滤波器140中的直流成分的恢复反偏。电容C2和C3的值选择得能提供平坦的群延时和对色度频带的幅度响应。
最好,直流宽屏幕NTSC提示信号遵循以下规范:
1.直流电压加到S-Video联接器的色度输出上;
2.直流电压在2.5-5V的范围内;
3.直流信号源的输出阻抗为10±3KΩ;
4.在接收机S-Video输入端检波器电路的直流阻抗至少为100KΩ。

R120=100KΩ    R122=56KΩ
R124=56KΩ    R130=75Ω
R131=51Ω    Z1=Z2为6.8伏齐纳二极管
C1=0.1μf    C2=0.1μf

Claims (3)

1、在用于重放预录的录像带的盒式录像机中,包括:
产生色度信号的输出端子(C);
用于检测提示的装置(110),该提示表明所述预录的录像带包含被水平压缩的图像;
其特征在于还包括:
根据对所述提示的检测,将直流信号加到所述输出端上的装置(115、R102、SW1)。
2、如权利要求1的装置,其特征在于:
所述用于检测的装置(110)读出录在所述录像带上的编码。
3、如权利要求1的装置,其特征在于:
所述用于检测的装置(110)是对包裹所述录像带的外盒体形特征响应的装置。
