本发明涉及将中空杆作为材料使用的螺旋弹簧、稳定器或扭矩杆等中空弹簧构件。
背景技术
汽车等车辆的悬架装置有螺旋弹簧、上侧弹簧座和下侧弹簧座。上侧弹簧座支撑螺旋弹簧的上端。下侧弹簧座支撑螺旋弹簧的下端。螺旋弹簧在下侧弹簧座和上侧弹簧座之间被压缩。而且该螺旋弹簧根据在下侧弹簧座和上侧弹簧座之间施加的荷重大小进行伸缩。为了减少车辆的燃料消耗量,或为了提高驾驶性能,对车辆的轻量化的要求越来越高。构成悬架机构的稳定器或螺旋弹簧等弹簧构件也不例外,也不可避免地需要减轻重量。
在专利文献1中,作为减轻螺旋弹簧重量的手段,记载了材料为中空杆(中空钢丝)的中空螺旋弹簧。专利文献1的中空螺旋弹簧通过非中空杆的构件的盖子,阻塞杆的前端开口。在专利文献2中,记载了通过对中空螺旋弹簧的杆的前端开口进行施压加工来封闭的技术。其杆的前端通过施压加工形成为半球形(圆顶形)。

发明内容
发明待解决问题
专利文献1中记载的中空螺旋弹簧通过非中空杆的构件的盖子,阻塞杆的前端开口。因此,盖子有变形或脱落的可能。专利文献2的中空螺旋弹簧不用盖子,而是通过末端密封部来封闭杆的前端开口。本发明的发明人对中空弹簧构件的末端密封部进行了试制和质量评估。作为本发明人的深入研究的结果,发现在传统的末端密封部中存在问题。例如对中空弹簧构件进行淬火或回火等热处理时,不知是否是由于杆的温度的急剧变化影响末端密封部,末端密封部的密封性能出现问题。
因此,本发明的目的在于提供一种中空弹簧构件,其具有杆的前端能够牢固地密封的末端密封部。
解决本课题的方式
本发明的一个实施例为由中空杆制成的中空弹簧构件,所述杆的端部具有末端密封部。该末端密封部为旋转对称形,以穿过所述杆的中心的轴线为对称轴,所述末端密封部具有包括端面的端壁部,前端中心封闭部,形成于所述端壁部内表面的凹部。所述前端中心封闭部形成在所述端壁部的中心的所述轴线上。所述凹部为以所述轴线为对称轴的旋转对称形。而且所述凹部的形状为,所述端壁部的壁厚越靠近所述轴线越小,并且该凹部的中心位于所述轴线上。中空弹簧构件的1个实施例为形成为螺旋状的中空杆(钢丝)制成的中空螺旋弹簧。中空弹簧构件的其他例为由中空杆制成的形成为扭矩部和臂部的车辆用稳定器。中空弹簧构件的一例也可以是扭矩杆。
为了形成本实施例的末端密封部,进行拉伸加工。在拉伸加工中,使加热后的杆围绕该杆的轴线进行旋转。使拉伸夹具接触旋转中的杆的外周表面,并且使拉伸夹具朝着杆的前端沿所述轴线的方向移动。与此同时,使所述拉伸夹具向杆的中心进行移动。反复进行该拉伸加工1次以上,使杆的前端开口部被逐渐拉伸。最终杆的前端开口部在轴线(旋转中心)上接合并且形成整体,由此形成密封的前端中心封闭部。
发明效果
根据与本发明相关的中空弹簧构件,可以使形成于末端密封部的端壁部的前端中心封闭部的壁厚比周围仅小于凹部部分。因此,相对于诸如热处理的温度变化(加热或急冷等),前端中心封闭部附近的温度很快变得均匀。因此,可以抑制过度的温度差产生的热应力对前端中心封闭部造成的影响,可以确保前端中心封闭部的密封性能。

下面参照图1至图6对与第1实施例相关的中空螺旋弹簧和该中空螺旋弹簧的制造方法进行说明。中空螺旋弹簧是中空弹簧构件的一例。
图1作为车辆用悬架装置的一例,示出了麦弗逊式支柱类型的悬架装置1的一部分。本实施例的悬架装置1具备中空螺旋弹簧10,下侧弹簧座11,上侧弹簧座12和减震器13。下侧弹簧座11支撑中空螺旋弹簧10的下侧支承圈10a。上侧弹簧座12支撑中空螺旋弹簧10的上侧支承圈10b。减震器13发挥支柱的功能。中空螺旋弹簧10也可以用于麦弗逊式支柱类型以外的悬架装置。
图1所示的中空螺旋弹簧10在压缩于下侧弹簧座11和上侧弹簧座12之间的状态(赋予预荷重的状态)下安装于车体中。该中空螺旋弹簧10弹性地支撑从车体的上方施加的载荷。中空螺旋弹簧10根据载荷的大小在弹簧座11、12之被压缩。因此,根据载荷的不同,弹簧座11、12之间的距离会变化。

中空螺旋弹簧10的两端即杆20的两端部20a、20b分别形成了末端密封部30。末端密封部30在杆20成型为螺旋状(卷取)之前,事先通过拉伸加工装置60成型。
图2示出了沿末端密封部30的轴线X1的方向的截面。图3是图2所示的末端密封部30的正面图。与杆20的轴线X1垂直的直径方向的截面为圆形。图2所示的末端密封部30形成了以穿过杆20的中心C(如图3所示)的轴线X1为对称轴的旋转对称形。也就是说,即使该末端密封部30围绕轴线X1旋转任意角度,沿轴线X1的截面的形状也不会改变。沿轴线X1的截面为穿过杆20的中心X(轴线X1)在较长方向上的截面。杆20的内部形成有密闭空间31。
末端密封部30具有包含端面40的端壁部41和弧形曲面42。端面40的中心40c位于轴线X1上。图2所示的端面40形成为中心40c附近向外侧略微突出的凸形。端面40的形状也可以是与轴线X1大致垂直的平坦形状。或者端面40可以是略呈圆弧状地向外凸出的凸形。弧形曲面42在杆20的外周表面20c和端面40之间形成圆弧状。该弧形曲面42在杆20的外周表面20c和端面40之间形成光滑的曲面来连接杆20的外周表面20c和端面40。杆20的内表面20d,与外周表面20c相同地,为以轴线X1为对称轴的旋转对称形。
如图2所示,在端壁部41的中心轴线X1上形成了前端中心封闭部43。中空杆20的前端(前端开口部)20e通过拉伸加工向轴线X1变窄。变窄的杆20的前端(前端开口部)20e在轴线X1上合并接合并成为整体,从而形成前端中心封闭部43。在端壁部41的内表面中,形成以轴线X1为对称轴的旋转对称形的凹部45。凹部45的形状为端壁部41的壁厚t越靠近轴线X1越小。而且凹部45的中心(凹部45的前端45a),与前端中心封闭部43相同地,位于轴线X1(对称轴)上。凹部45的中心形成了前端中心封闭部43。前端中心封闭部43的壁厚t1比周围的壁厚t小。
图4为示意性地示出拉伸加工装置60的一部分的侧视图。通过拉伸加工装置60,杆(中空钢丝)20的端部20a形成末端密封部30。图5为示出在形成末端密封部30之前的中空杆20的截面图。杆20的外径D的一为

厚度T的一例为3mm。杆20为以轴线X1为对称轴的旋转对称形。
如图4所示的拉伸加工装置60具有车床61,加热装置62,拉伸机构64。车床61用于夹住杆20并使杆20围绕轴线X1旋转。加热装置62对杆20的端部20a进行加热。拉伸机构64包括辊形拉伸夹具63。加热装置62的一例是煤气灶。加热装置62的优选其他例为高频感应加热线圈。推荐使用高频感应加热线圈用于加热杆20的端部20a。在拉伸夹具63与旋转的杆20接触的状态下,拉伸夹具63围绕自转轴63a进行从动旋转。
杆20的端部20a通过车床61进行旋转。旋转的杆20的端部20a通过加热装置62被加热到例如奥氏体化温度。已加热的杆20变红,并且变成适于加工的柔软度。已加热的杆20通过车床61围绕轴线X1进行旋转。如此使拉伸夹具63与已加热并旋转的杆20的端部20a的外周表面20c相接触。拉伸夹具63的前端在距离杆20的前端(前端开口部)20e数十毫米(例如20mm)处的拉伸开始点P1(如图4和图5所示)处与杆20的端部20a的外周表面20c接触。并且使该拉伸夹具63沿箭头P2所示的方向(沿轴线X1的方向)移动。与此同时,使该拉伸夹具63朝向轴线X1地在杆20的直径方向上移动。
通过以上所述的拉伸夹具63的移动,使杆20的前端(前端开口部)20e可塑性流动以从外周表面20c侧向轴线X1摩擦靠近。从而使杆20的前端(前端开口部)20e的直径逐渐减小变窄。在杆20的温度没有下降太多之前多次进行该拉伸加工。通过该拉伸加工,变窄的杆20的前端20e在轴线X1上接合从而成为整体。其结果是,密封的前端中心封闭部43形成于端壁部41上。
在端壁部41的中心轴线X1上具有前端中心封闭部43。该前端中心封闭部43通过拉伸加工已被密封。因此,通过前端中心封闭部分43,可以避免水或油、气体等流体从端壁部分41的外部渗入密闭空间31内。
末端密封部30的端面40和弧形曲面42形成于通过拉伸加工装置60成型末端密封部30之时。也就是说,端面40和弧形曲面42可以在拉伸加工过程中,根据拉伸夹具63的移动轨迹来形成。因此,不需要特意增加用于形成端面40或弧形曲面42的机械加工之类的其他工序。在端壁部41的内表面形成有以轴线X1为对称轴的旋转对称形的凹部45。
凹部45可以在通过拉伸夹具63拉伸杆20的前端20e时,通过控制拉伸夹具63的移动来形成。前端中心封闭部43位于轴线X1上。端壁部41的中心壁厚(前端中心封闭部43的壁厚t1)比周围的壁厚小了凹部45形成的部分。因此,相对于热处理螺旋弹簧10时的温度变化(加热或急冷),前端中心封闭部43附近的温度很快变得均匀。也就是说,前端中心封闭部43的温差变小,可以减小产生于前端中心封闭部43的热应力。通过抑制热应力,可以使前端中心封闭部43的密封性变得牢固,从而克服前端中心封闭部43的缺点。
图6示出了制造中空螺旋弹簧10的工序的一例。在图6中的末端密封工序S1中,分别在杆20的两端部20a、20b上形成末端密封部30。之后在卷取工序S2中,通过螺旋弹簧制造装置杆20形成为螺旋形。螺旋弹簧制造装置的一例为具备用于旋转的心轴,旋转头部,用于将杆的前端固定于旋转头部的卡盘,用于引导杆的引导件等。
在卷取工序S2中,杆20的前端(末端密封部30)通过所述螺旋弹簧制造装置的所述卡盘来固定于旋转头部。然后,通过一边旋转心轴,一边使所述引导件向心轴的轴线方向移动,来使杆20以预定螺距螺旋形地卷绕在心轴上。也就是说,该螺旋弹簧10通过热加工来形成螺旋状。将成型的螺旋弹簧10从心轴中取出。
在图6的热处理工序S3中,对螺旋弹簧10执行淬火及回火等热处理。通过该热处理,形成作为弹簧所需的硬度的钢的热处理组织。在喷丸硬化工序S4中,通过喷丸硬化机实施喷丸硬化。通过该喷丸硬化,使螺旋弹簧10的表面产生压缩残余应力。进一步地在整定处理工序S5中,对螺旋弹簧10进行整定处理。在涂覆工序S6中,对螺旋弹簧10进行涂覆后,在检查工序S7中对螺旋弹簧10进行检查,检查合格的螺旋弹簧10为成品。
图7为在杆20的端部20a的内侧形成倒角部70的示例。在杆20的外径D为

厚度T为3mm时,使倒角部70的长度L1为2mm。倒角部70也可以是该长度之外的长度。也可以将像该示例一样的在杆20的内侧具有倒角部70的杆20的端部20a,通过如图4所示的拉伸加工装置60进行拉伸加工,来形成具有凹部45的末端密封部30。
图8为在杆20的端部20a的外侧形成倒角部71的示例。在杆20的外径D为

厚度T为3mm时,使倒角部71的长度L2为2mm。倒角部71也可以是该长度之外的长度。也可以将像该示例一样的在杆20的外侧具有倒角部71的杆20的端部20a,通过如图4所示的拉伸加工装置60进行拉伸加工,来形成具有凹部45的末端密封部30。
图9示出与第2实施例相关的末端密封部30A的截面。该末端密封部30A也和第1实施例的末端密封部30相同地,形成为以杆20的轴线X1为对称轴的旋转对称形。也就是说,末端密封部30A在沿轴线X1(对称轴)的截面中,具有端壁部41,弧形曲面42,前端中心封闭部43和凹部45。端壁部41含有与轴线X1垂直的大致平坦的端面40a。弧形曲面42连接端面40a和外周表面20c。前端中心封闭部43形成于端壁部41的中心的轴线X1上。凹部45为以轴线X1为对称轴的旋转对称形。凹部45的中心(凹部45的前端45a)位于轴线X1上。大致平坦的端面40a可以通过例如将具有平坦的按压面的夹具按压端壁部分41来形成。
图10示出与第3实施例相关的末端密封部30B的截面。该末端密封部30B也形成了以杆20的轴线X1为对称轴的旋转对称形。也就是说,末端密封部30B在沿轴线X1(对称轴)的截面中,具有端壁部41,弧形曲面42,前端中心封闭部43和凹部45。端壁部41含有与轴线X1垂直的大致平坦的端面40a。弧形曲面42连接端面40a和外周表面20c。前端中心封闭部43形成于端壁部41的中心的轴线X1上。凹部45为以轴线X1为对称轴的旋转对称形。凹部45的中心(凹部45的前端45a)位于轴线X1上。凹部45的中心的壁厚,即前端中心封闭部43的壁厚t2比周围的壁厚t小。
图11为示出与第4实施例相关的车辆用中空稳定器80。中空稳定器80为中空弹簧构件的一例,配置于车辆的悬架机构部中。中空稳定器80是由中空杆20制成,具有在车辆的宽度方向上延伸的扭矩部81,连接扭矩部81的两端的臂部82、83和安装部84、85。安装部84、85分别通过加工具有与前述实施例相同的末端密封部的中空杆20的端部而形成。
图12示出了与第5实施例相关的中空扭矩杆(扭杆)90。中空扭矩杆90为中空弹簧构件的一例,用于承受扭矩载荷。该扭矩杆90是由中空杆20制成。安装部91、92设置在中空扭矩杆90的两端。安装部91、92分别通过加工具有与前述实施例相同的末端密封部的中空杆20的端部而形成。
工业上可利用性
本发明除了应用于中空螺旋弹簧以外,也可以应用于例如由中空杆制成的稳定器或扭矩杆等中空弹簧构件中。而且关于末端密封部的端壁部的形状或凹部的形状,也可以采用各种不脱离本发明范围的形状。关于作为中空弹簧构件的材料的杆(中空钢丝或中空杆)的直径或钢种,也不限于前述实施例。

Claims (2)

1.一种中空螺旋弹簧,所述中空螺旋弹簧由中空杆(20)制成,在所述杆(20)的端部(20a)具有末端密封部,其特征在于,
所述末端密封部形成为以穿过所述杆(20)的中心的轴线(X1)为对称轴的旋转对称形,所述末端密封部的直径从所述杆(20)的外周表面(20c)朝向所述杆(20)的端面)减小,并且包括:
端壁部(41),所述端壁部(41)含有端面;
前端中心封闭部(43),所述前端中心封闭部(43)存在于所述端壁部(41)的中心的所述轴线(X1)上;
凹部(45),所述凹部(45)形成于所述端壁部(41)的内表面上,并且形成为以所述轴线(X1)为对称轴的旋转对称形,其中,
所述端壁部(41)的所述凹部(45)的壁厚越靠近所述轴线(X1)越小,并且所述凹部(45)的中心位于所述轴线(X1)上。
2.根据权利要求1所述的中空螺旋弹簧,其特征在于,其中,在所述外周表面(20c)与所述端面之间形成有圆弧状的曲面(42)。
