技术背景
防篡改包装对于许多消费品公司,特别是消费者保健产品公司而言是高度优先的,其中包装的内容物在购买之前被污染或者如果没有成年人的监督而被未成年人食用可能是危险的。传统上,热密封包装已知是非常安全和防篡改的形式。
蛤壳是单件容器,其由通过铰链区域连接的两个半部组成,该铰链区域允许结构合在一起而关闭。蛤壳通常由成形塑料材料制成,其方式类似于泡罩包装。蛤壳式容器可以由各种塑料制成,例如聚苯乙烯、聚酯、PVC等。该材料可以通过热成形制成或者可以注塑成所需的形状。单件材料用于顶部和底部,具有与该材料一体的“活动铰链”,而不是单独添加的。蛤壳可以使用各种关闭或密封的方法。一些具有自锁凸片、按扣或具有摩擦配合件。其他使用粘合剂、压敏胶带、标签、订书钉,或热密封、射频密封或超声密封。
热密封是使用热和压力将一种热塑性材料密封到另一种类似的热塑性材料的过程。热密封的直接接触方法利用恒定加热的模具或密封条将热量施加到特定的接触区域或路径,以将热塑性塑料密封或焊接在一起。
热密封的概念在本领域中是公知的。传统上,热密封要求待密封的表面关于定向力是线性的(即平坦表面)。这在对消费者更具有轮廓和吸引力的包装上使用热密封提供了限制。对于这种复杂的包装,需要其它密封方法,其可能不提供热密封提供的防篡改和安全性,因此导致寻求高防篡改同时还寻求对消费者有吸引力的包装的公司的难题。因此,非常期望允许在波状或弯曲表面上进行热密封的技术。
发明内容
本发明的方面涉及一种用于热密封包装的装置,包括:具有凸台的支撑凸台板。凸台具有面,该面具有用于接收包装的一个或多个腔以及固定到该面并且包围一个或多个腔的至少一部分的一个或多个垫圈。垫圈和至少固定有一个或多个垫圈的表面的部分是非平坦的。该装置还包括具有加热器的加热器板,其具有面和与支撑凸台上的一个或多个垫圈可配合的一个或多个加热凸缘。加热凸缘是不平坦的。在支撑凸台与加热器配合并施加向下方向的力和热量时,可以沿着向下方向的力用非线性密封件密封包装。

具体实施方式
本发明的方面涉及一种包装,其具有带有可选的凹部和周边边缘的第一侧和带有凹部和周边边缘的第二侧,其中,每侧的密封表面的至少一部分是非平面的。通过将每个周边边缘的至少一部分热密封在一起来密封包装。热密封包装的非平面边缘的能力提供了提供高度防篡改的包装的能力,该包装也是复杂的设计并且在视觉上对消费者有吸引力。
在一些实施例中,包装可以包括不包括凹部的一侧,即平坦表面,其可被热密封到具有凹部的一侧以形成封闭的包装。在一些实施例中,包装可以是蛤壳式包装,即,通过一体式铰链连结的第一侧和第二侧。

包装可以包含各种产品,例如消费者产品或更具体地消费者保健产品。示例性消费者保健产品包括皮肤病学产品、减肥产品、口腔保健产品、感冒和流感产品、呼吸产品、止痛剂、维生素和矿物质、胃肠道产品、尼古丁替代治疗产品、营养产品和疼痛缓解产品等。
为了对消费者提供最直观的吸引力,被热密封的包装区域对于消费者来说是最不显眼的。因此,优选的是窄的热密封,例如宽度在约1mm和约20mm之间,更优选在约3mm和约6mm之间的热密封。窄的热密封还提供了包装的边缘尽可能小,以允许包装在展示架上“独立”。

本发明的方面还涉及热密封包装,其中,热密封被应用于弯曲的周边边缘以及弯曲的内表面。在一些实施例中,热密封的内表面可用于将包装分成多个隔室。这些多个隔间可以包含多个产品。产品可以是相同的产品,或不同的产品,例如可以一起使用的补充产品。

施加到待热密封的表面的合适温度可以在约390°F和约500°F之间,或在约415°F和约450°F之间。
施加到待热密封的表面的合适压力可以在约40psi和约110psi之间,或约80psi和约100psi之间。

Claims (14)
