Description

本发明涉及一种螺钉头,此螺钉头在1978年4月18日的美国专利4,084,478号图2及3中有所描述。此类螺钉头在其与螺丝起子相衔接的表面上有一些肋状物以与螺丝起子边缘互锁以防止在旋紧或旋松螺钉时二者有互相滑脱的倾向。
在利用一金属冲头制造此种肋时,螺钉头的金属会自螺钉轴向外流动,因此,在形成螺钉头之操作中,金属可能无法全部填满肋之内部。
在本发明中,肋无法被完全填满之问题已被解决,此系通过把肋自螺钉轴向外倾斜一角度,此角度介于1°至10°,最好为1°至6°,以符合金属之流动角度。本发明之另一要点为,自垂直于斜肋角度而量得的肋顶角足够大,因此,肋不会对从已成型的螺钉头退出的冲头造成干涉。
为更了解本发明,须配合下列非限制性之说明并参考附图,其中:
图1、2及3取自美国专利4,084,478号;
图3A近似图3,表示了本发明的斜肋;
图3B与所说4084478号专利相似,并示出翼角B,及断面C-C的位置;
图4系C-C断面之放大图以示出基角D;
图5示出可用来形成图3A及3B所示肋的一冲头的端部形状;
图6系图5所示冲头的侧视图。
为充分了解本发明,请参阅于1978年4月18日获准且同属于本申请案受让人的美国专利第4,084,478号,如上所述,图1至3系摘自上述专利以省却重复之麻烦。而上述专利所揭示者亦都跟本发明有关。
参考图3A,其大致相似图3,不同之处在于有一斜角A,肋之顶点自平行于螺钉头轴线之处外斜。图3A中,斜角A以稍作夸大方式表示,而实际上则介于1°至10°,最好为1°至6°以符合金属流动角度。确实角度可由适当试验予以决定,其是翼槽尺寸、螺钉头深度、金属流动特性、成型温度等之函数。
由于成型此斜肋的衡头必需自平行于螺钉轴线之方向撤回,故成型后的肋需不会干涉到衡头撤回。为此,肋有十分大的顶角,最好超过90°。
再参阅图4,可见到肋的表面,即与轴线平行之断面C-C线,具有一相对于垂直翼角B的基角D。基角D必需小于或等于垂直翼角B。如此,任何与肋表面接触的冲头表面皆可以垂直方向通过此断面而不会干涉。
比较图3B与4,若顶角很小,则平行于轴线并通过此肋之一断面将有一增大之基角D,并且在螺钉头成型后,冲头无法脱离。
大多数市售螺钉中,翼角B为4°至5°。在肋之斜角为1°至6°时若顶角为90°或更大则使基角D小于翼角B。若顶角为70°。且斜角为12°,则基角将为16°且大于翼角,在此情况,冲头将无法拔出。故本专业技术人员可知本发明中有数个重要之处。
斜肋角度应介于1°至10°,最好为1°至6°,以便符合金属之流动角度。肋之顶角(垂直于肋之方向测得)应足够大,最好大过95°,此仍依螺丝起子接触面之垂直翼角B而定。当翼角B变大时,顶角则可变小些。而当翼角变小时,顶角需变大些。不论如何,由通过肋表面所形成之基角(相对于垂直翼表面)必需小于垂直翼角。
上面所述系本发明一特定实例,而其基本原理可适用于上述美国专利4084478号所示出的螺钉头的各式肋(包括锥形肋),在该专利中,如图39所示,翼角是0°。就此,应参考该专利图38,示出一肋76的稍微修改,但此肋位于一垂直面上。该肋76与本发明所限定的斜肋并不相同。本发明肋的边缘与螺丝之轴成倾斜,也因此系位于一不与螺丝轴平行之平面上。
上述肋的形状可利用传统技术以市售冲头机械形成。图5及6显示一种用来形成图3A及3B中肋的冲头形状。图5及6与美国专利4,151,621不同。冲头150可以用传统制造冲头技术形成以适合本发明。冲头150包含一含有表面154及自表面154凸出之尖端156的本体152。尖端156与所欲形成之螺钉头凹部成互补,尖端156包含一心部158及许多叶片160,叶片160自心部径向地朝外伸出。每一叶片160有一对侧表面162、164及一端面166,端面166自心部158的外表朝外并朝上斜出。叶片160的顶端与冲头表面154合成一起而形成整体结构。许多叶片的表面162及/或164设有许多由侧壁170构成的沟168。这些沟的横截面积及形状与欲在凹沟侧壁形成的肋26一致。如此,沟168的深度为数千分之一英寸或更少,图示中略有夸大以供明示之用。沟168可形成在162及164表面二者之一,或二者皆有。在所示冲头中,沟168设在有数个叶片160的表面162上,这些叶片构成驱动壁。沟168自叶片侧面160及/或162之下缘172(即侧面与端面166接合处)向上延伸至所希望的位置。沟可完全延伸至叶片160顶端与冲头接触之表面154,亦可在叶片160与表面154接合处之下方终止,此皆依欲制造的肋形状而决定。每一沟皆形成三角形横截面,此三角形的顶点构成肋的边缘以与螺丝起子之边缘接触。沟168的轴线朝上朝外倾斜,其方向与冲头轴线构成一角度A。角A(图3A及6)介于1°至10°。冲头侧壁162自衡头轴线以一个于1°至10°之垂直翼角B(见图3A及6)向外斜出。沟168有一顶角,大得足以使通过沟(及成型肋)的垂直截面为沟及肋表面提供一基角(图4),其等于或小于垂直翼角B,此顶角系自一垂直于沟顶点之平面所测得。
因为冲头表面与成型后之螺钉头成互补,冲头的较佳斜角A及翼角B之范围与螺钉头相同。

Claims (10)

1、一种螺钉头,在螺丝起子接触面上有肋及侧壁,肋有一表面,并形成一尖端,此表面可与螺丝起子边缘衔接并可减少螺丝起子自侧壁滑开之倾向,此螺钉头系用一金属成型冲头使之在一预定方向产生金属流动而制得,其特征为:肋26为直线状并有一三角形横截面,三角形顶点形成一肋缘可与螺丝起子边缘衔接,肋的轴线自螺钉轴线向外且向上朝金属流动方向倾斜,并与平行于螺钉轴线的平面成一肋角A,该肋角A介于1°至10°,侧壁22自螺钉轴线以一介于1°至10°之垂直翼角B向外倾斜,该肋26有一足够大的顶角以便使通过该倾斜肋的垂直断面能提供一基角D于肋表面,基角D等于或小于垂直翼角B,该顶角系自垂直于肋边缘的平面量测而得。
2、如权利要求1中所述的螺钉头,其特征在于,肋角A介于1°至6°。
3、如权利要求1中所述的螺钉头,其特征在于,肋角A约为3°。
4、如权利要求1中所述的螺钉头,其特征在于,肋角A约为5°。
5、如权利要求1中所述的螺钉头,其特征在于,肋角A介于3°至6°。
6、一种在一可旋转连结件端部形成螺丝起子衔接面的冲击工具,包括:
一本体,具有一轴线及一沿此轴的端部区,此端部区有一主表面构成一主要几何形状对应于所欲形成的螺丝起子主衔接面;及
一装置,用以在该端部区的主表面形成至少一有较小横截面的细长沟,所说沟通常沿所说轴线纵向延伸,藉此,当该工具端部区撞击入可旋转连结件之材料内时,该端部的主表面将形成螺丝起子主衔接面,并且该细长沟将形成一自所说螺丝起子主衔接面延伸的较小横截面之凸部;其特征为:
该细长沟168有一三角形横截面,三角形顶点形成肋的边缘可与螺丝起子边缘衔接,沟的轴自工具之轴线向上且向外倾斜,其方向为金属流动方向并与平行于工具轴线之平面成一肋角A,该角A介于1°至10°,此工具之侧壁自工具轴线以一介于1°至10°之翼角B向外倾斜,该沟有一足够大顶角以便通过该已成型的肋26的一垂直断面在肋表面上提供一基角D,此基角等于或小于垂直翼角B,该顶角自一垂直于该沟的平面测量而得。
7、如权利要求6中所述的螺钉头,其特征在于,肋角A介于1°至6°。
8、如权利要求6中所述的螺钉头,其特征在于,肋角A约为3°。
9、如权利要求6中所述的螺钉头,其特征在于,肋角A约为5°。
10、如权利要求6中所述的螺钉头,其特征在于,肋角A介于3°至6°。
