本申请涉及到用于清洁并特别用于清除肛门附近污物的物品。本申请特别涉及到由高内水相反乳液(high internal water phase inverse emulsion)处理的载体底物制成的湿状清洁擦拭物,而这种乳液是用有机聚合硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂(organopolysiloxane-polyoxyalkylene emulsifier)乳化而成的。
本发明的背景
清洁皮肤未必总是易于解决的个人卫生问题。当然,用肥皂和水清洗皮肤的普通方法是很见效的,但有时可能无效或使用不方便。例如,虽然肥皂和水可用于清洗通便后的肛门附近区域,但这种方法极其繁琐。因此,干薄页纸产品是最普遍使用的通便后的肛门附近区清洁产品。这些干薄页纸产品通常称为“卫生薄页纸”或“卫生纸”。
肛门附近的皮肤存在有细的皱纹和褶皱(沟槽)和毛囊会使得肛门附近区成为较难清洁的解剖区之一。通便期间,粪便物通过肛门排出并常常堆积在手难于到达的位置如毛根部周围和皮肤表面的沟槽内。当粪便物暴露在空气中时,或与吸收性清洁物如薄页纸接触时,其脱水,这使它更牢固地粘到皮肤和毛发上,从而使随后的遗留的脱水污物的清除变得更难。
不清除肛门区的粪便物对个人卫生会产生有害影响。在便后清洁之后,遗留在皮肤上的粪便物具有很高的细菌和病毒含量,这些物质是恶臭的,并通常是脱水的。这些特性增加了肛门区机能失调的可能性,并引起自身的不舒服(如骚痒,发炎,燥热等)。另外,残留的粪便物会弄脏内衣,并使肛门区散发出难闻的臭味。因此,肛门附近清洁不够的后果是令人生厌。
对于患肛门区机能失调如骚痒、痔、肛裂,隐窝炎(cryptitis)或类似疾病的那些人来说,充分的肛门区清洁具有重要意义。肛门区机能失调的特征在于,皮肤中有裂口,残留粪便物中的细菌和病毒易于通过裂口进入人体。因此,患肛门区机能失调病的那些人在通便后必须充分清洁肛门区,否则,遗留在皮肤上的细菌和病毒会使病人的肛门区机能失调加重。
在肛门区机能失调患者面临通便后清洁不够的更严重后果的同时,他们往往通便不畅。肛门区失调一般使其周边区极度敏感,并且试图通过擦抹来去除该区域的粪便(即使用通常的擦抹压力)也会引起疼痛并可能进一步刺激皮肤。通过增加擦抹力来提高粪便去除程度的努力会导致更大的疼痛。相反,通过减少擦抹力来最大程度减小不适感的尝试导致残留在皮肤上残余粪便物量的增加。
用于肛门区清洁的常规卫生纸产品基本上是干燥的、低密度的薄页纸,其单独靠机械方法从周边区清除粪便。这些常规的薄页纸摩擦肛门周边区,一般压力为1磅/英寸2(7千帕斯卡),并且基本从皮肤上擦掉或刮掉粪便物。最初几次擦试后,去掉了该粪便层的上部分,因为该擦试法能克服该粪便物中粪便-粪便之间的粘合力。因此,该粪便层自身裂开,该粪便的上部分被除去而该粪便的下部分仍粘在周边皮肤上。

为改善肛门附近的清洁, 已研制出了保持在多种分配器中,并吸入了大量润湿溶液的擦拭物。这种产品的实例包括经常用于清洁便后婴儿,并在润湿溶液中含有添加剂以减轻皮肤痛苦的擦拭物。这些擦拭物具有永久的湿强度,致使它们冲不掉。而且,这些现有的擦拭物经常是太湿以致不能干燥皮肤,并可能会具有“冷的”感觉。而且,每种擦拭物的水分含量也不一致。
可润湿的干薄页纸产品也已用在肛门区的清洁上。这些可润湿的薄页纸产品通常是有暂时的湿强度,致使它们可以冲掉。然而,这些产品的使用者必须润湿薄页纸,这是不方便的。而且也难于在这种产品上取得恰当的水分值。并且,这种产品的暂时湿强度一般不够并需要改善。
因此,理想的是为肛门附近的清洁提供这样的产品:(1)具有一致的润湿溶液含量;(2)具有适当的暂时湿强度,以致能够冲掉;(3)具有适当的、一致的水分含量,以产生有效的清洁;和(4)基本上处于干态,直至用于清洁时为止。
本发明涉及到用于清洁的物品,并特别涉及到特别用于清除肛门附近污物的湿状清洁擦拭物。这些物品包含:
a.载体;
b.涂布于载体的类脂包水乳液,该乳液包含:
(1)约2-60%的连续固化类脂相,该类脂相含有熔点约为30℃或以上的蜡状类脂材料;
(2)约39-97%的分散在类脂相中的内水相;和
(3)当类脂相为液态时,有效量的有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂,这种乳化剂能使其变成乳液。
本发明还涉及到制造这些物品的方法,该方法包括下列步骤:
A.形成类脂包水的乳液,它含有:
(1)约2-60%的连续类脂相,它含有熔点约为30℃或以上的蜡状类脂材料;
(2)约39-97%的分散在类脂相中的内水相;和
(3)有效量的有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂,当类脂相处于液态时,这样乳化剂能使其变成乳液;
B.在足够高温度,将乳液涂布于载体使类脂相具有液体或可塑浓度;
C.将涂布的乳液冷却到足够低的温度,致使类脂相固化。
与现有的清洁产品相比,这些物品具有许多重要的优点,特别是以湿状清洁擦拭物形式用于清除肛门附近污物时。为了舒适、更有效的清洁,使用期间,这些物品会释放大量的水。这种乳液的连续类脂相具有足够的脆性,以致受到低剪切接触(如,擦拭皮肤期间)时易于破裂,从而容易地释放这种内水相,但这种类脂相具有足够的韧性以避免在苛刻的加工期间水相的提前释放。这些物品的连续类脂相在贮存期间也足够稳定,以致避免了内水相的明显蒸发。当用本发明的高内相反乳液处理时,这些物品的正常抗张强度和可冲洗性能不会受到不利影响。结果,在不必改变其正常清洁习惯的情况下,这些物品的使用者得到了舒适、有效、湿润的清洁。
特别地,这些有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂在配制高内相反乳液时的使用产生了许多优点。例如,与用于配制高内相反乳液的其它有机乳化剂相比,这些有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂可提供较好的水留着作用。对于用高内相反乳液处理的物品,这些有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂还提供了较好的手感美。
除了肛门附近的清洁之外,这些物品还能用在需要传送水,以及水溶或可分散的活性物的许多其它场合。这些用途包括地板、柜台顶面、洗涤槽、澡盆、卫生间和类似物的硬表面清洁, 以及水溶或可分散的抗细菌或药用活性物的传送。这些物品还具有多重作用。例如, 当用在如家具、鞋子、汽车和类似物品上时,涂布于这些物品上的高内相反乳液可配成同时提供清洁和打蜡益处。

本发明的详细描述
正如这里所用的,术语“包含”指在实施本发明中,可结合使用各种成分、组分或步骤。因此,术语“包含”包括更限制性的术语“基本由...组成”和“由...组成”。
除非特别说明,这里所用的所有百分比、比率和比例都是以重量计。
A.高内相反乳液的载体
本发明所用的载体可以各种底物的形式。适合的载体底物包括纺织材料、无纺织材料、泡沫、海绵、棉胎(battings)、球状物、蓬松的团(puffs)、薄膜和类似物质。用于本发明的特别优选的底物是无纺织型的。这些无纺织的底物可包含任何普通式样的无纺织纸页或纸幅,它们具有适当的定量、厚度、吸收性和强度特性。无纺织底物通常可称为具有纸幅(web)结构的粘合纤维或纤丝产品,当以“气流成网工艺”或某种“湿法成网工艺”时,其中的纤维或纤丝是任意分布的,当以某种“湿法成网工艺”或“梳理工艺(carding)”时,其中的纤维或纤丝具有一定程度的取向。这种无纺织底物的纤维或纤丝可以是天然的(如木浆、羊毛、丝、黄麻、大麻、棉花、亚麻、西沙尔麻或青麻)或合成的(如尼龙、纤维素酯、聚乙烯基衍生物、聚烯烃、聚酰胺或聚酯),并能用聚合的粘合剂树脂粘合在一起。 可大批购买的适合的无纺织底物的实例包括Dupont公司以Sontara商品名和James River公司以Polyweb商品名出售的那些物品。
由于成本、易于制造性和物品的可处理性(如可冲掉性)的原因,因此,用于本发明擦拭物的优选无纺织底物类型包含由木浆纤维制造的那些物品如纸幅。正如所指出的,纸幅可通过干法成网或湿法成网技术来制造。干法成网的纸幅如Air TexSCl30可从James River公司大批购买。
更普通地,纸幅可通过湿法成网方法来制造。在这种方法中,纸幅是通过下列步骤制造的:制成含水的造纸配料,将配料沉积到有孔的表面上,如长网,并且然后排除配料中的水,如借助重力、真空帮助的干燥和/或蒸发,有或无压榨,由此形成了期望纤维浓度的纸幅。在许多情况中,是建造造纸装置,以使造纸配料悬浮液中的纤维随着脱水的进行得以重新排列,目的是形成具有特别理想的强度、手感、松厚度、外观、吸收性等的纸页底物。
为制造本发明的物品,用于形成优选纸幅底物的造纸配料基本上包含含水的造纤维悬浮液(即纸浆),并可选择地含有各种化学品,如湿强树脂、表面活性剂、pH控制剂、柔软剂、脱粘剂和类似物质。各种木浆都可用于形成造纸配料。这里所用的木浆包括亚硫酸盐和硫酸盐浆,以及机械的,热机械的和化学-热-机械浆,造纸领域的普通技术人员对所有这些浆都是很熟悉的。由阔叶树或针叶树制得的纸浆都可使用。优选地,为制造本发明的擦拭物,用于形成优选的纸幅底物的造纸配料包含由北方针叶木制得的硫酸盐浆(Kraft pulp)。
已研制了许多使用造纸装置的造纸方法,由造纸装置可形成具有特别有用的或期望的纤维构型的纸幅。这种构型可赋予纸幅增强的松厚度、吸收性和强度特性。有一种方法在造纸过程中使用了压印毯(imprinting fabric),使最终纸幅产生了“高紧度的压印图案(knuckle pattem)和低紧度区。这类造纸方法和实施这种方法的造纸装置详细描述在1967年1月31日签发的美国专利3,301,746(Sanford等)中,该专利收编于此供参考。
用特殊造纸装置进行的另一种造纸方法是提供具有独特的、连续的网状区的纸幅,这是通过分散在底物上的网状区各处的许多“突出部分”形成的。这种突出部分是通过将造纸过程期间形成的初始纸幅压入有孔的偏转元件(deflection member)而形成的,这种元件具有以图案装饰的网状表面,而这种网状表面是由偏转元件表面中的许多不连续的、独立的偏转管(deflectionconduit)形成的。这种类型的造纸方法和实施这种造纸方法的装置详细描述在下列专利中:1985年7月16日签发的美国专利4,529,480(Trokhan),1987年1月20日签发的美国专利4,637,859(Trokhan);和1991年12月17日签发的美国专利5,073,235(Trokhan),所有这些专利收编于此供参考。适于制造成层的复合纸底物的另一种类型的造纸方法和实施该方法的装置描述在1976年11月30日签发的美国专利3,994,771(Morgan等)中,该专利收编于此供参考。
优选的纸幅底物可形成能层合在一起的两片或多片产品的一片。层合和与压花程序结合在一起以在层合产品中形成许多突出部分的层合详细描述在1968年12月3日签发的美国专利3,414,459(Wells)中,该专利收编于此供参考。这些纸底物优选具有10-65克/米2的定量,和约0.6克/厘米3或更低的紧度。更优选地,定量将约为40克/米2或更低和紧度约为0.3克/厘米3或更低。最优选地,紧度将约为0.04-0.2克/厘米3。见1991年10月22日签发的美国专利5,059,282(Ampulski等)的第13栏,第61-67行。该专利描述了如何测定薄页纸的紧度。(除非特别说明,所有相对于纸幅底物的量和重量都是基于干重)。
除了造纸纤维,用于制造这些纸幅底物的造纸配料还有添加在其中的其它组分或材料,这些材料在现有技术中是熟知的或不久将为人所熟知。理想的添加剂类型取决于打算使用的薄页纸的特定最终用途。例如,在擦拭产品如卫生纸、纸毛巾、面巾纸、婴儿擦拭纸和其它类似产品中,高的湿强度是一个所期望的性质。因此,通常将本领域称为“湿强”树脂的化学物质添加到造纸配料中是合乎需求的。
在浆和纸工业技术协会(纽约,1965)出版的TAPPI专论系列第29期,纸和纸板的湿强度中,可以看到有关造纸领域中所使用的湿强树脂的类型的一篇综述性论文。最有用的湿强树脂通常是阳离子性的。对于永久湿强的产生,聚酰胺表氯醇树脂已被发现是具有特殊效用的阳离子湿强树脂。适合类型的这种树脂描述在下列专利中:1972年10月24日签发的美国专利3,700,623(Keim)和1973年11月13日签发的美国专利3,772,076(Keim),这两个专利收编于此供参考。有用的聚酰胺表氯醇树脂的一种商业来源是特拉华州Wilmington市的Hercules公司,该公司以Kymene557H商标销售这种树脂。
作为湿强树脂,聚丙烯酰胺树脂也已被发现是有效用的。这些树脂描述在下列专利中:1971年1月19日签发的美国专利3,556,932(Coscia等),1971年1月19日签发的美国专利3,556,933(Williams等),这两个专利收编于此供参考。聚丙烯酰胺树脂的一个商业来源是康涅狄格州Stamford市的美国Cyanamid公司,该公司是以Parez631NC商标出售这种树脂。
作为湿强树脂,还发现有效用的其它水溶阳离子树脂是脲醛树脂和三聚氰胺甲醛树脂。这些多官能树脂的较普通的官能团是含氮的基团如氨基和连接在氮上的羟甲基。聚乙烯亚胺型树脂在本发明中也是有用的。另外,暂时湿强树脂如Caldas10(由日本Carlat公司制造)和CoBond1000(由国家淀粉和化学品公司制造)也可用在本发明中。要知道,向浆料中添加上面所讨论的化学品如湿强和暂时湿强树脂是可选择性的,并且对本发明的实施来说并不是必要的。
除了湿强添加剂,在造纸纤维中包含现有技术中所熟知的某些干强和掉毛控制添加剂也是理想的。从这方面考虑,淀粉粘合剂已被发现是特别适合的。除了降低纸底物的掉毛,低量的淀粉粘合剂还能使纸页的干抗张强度得到适当的改进,而不会产生可能由于高量淀粉的添加造成的挺度。一般地,以纸底物的重量计,留着的淀粉粘合剂的量约为0.01-2%,优选0.1-1%。
一般地,适于这些纸幅底物的淀粉粘合剂的特征是水溶性和亲水性。虽然这不意味着限制适合的淀粉粘合剂的范围,但代表性的淀粉材料包括玉米淀粉和土豆淀粉,工业上称为amioca淀粉的蜡状玉米淀粉是特别优选的。Amioca淀粉不同于普通的玉米淀粉,Amioca淀粉完全是支链的,而普通玉米淀粉既含有支链的也含有直链的。amioca淀粉的各种独特特性进一步描述在“Amioca-来自蜡状玉米的淀粉”中,H.H.Schopmeyer,食品工业,1945年12月,第106-108页(第1476-1478卷)。
淀粉粘合剂可以是粒状或分散型的,特别优选粒状的。优选将淀粉粘合剂煮到足以使颗粒溶胀。更优选地,将淀粉煮到刚好在淀粉颗粒分散之前的点而使淀粉颗粒溶胀。这种高度溶胀的淀粉颗粒可认为是“完全煮透的”。这种分散条件一般是变化的,这取决于淀粉颗粒的大小、颗粒的结晶度和所存在的直链淀粉量。例如,完全煮透的amioca淀粉可通过将约4%浓度的淀粉颗粒的水悬浮液在190°F(约88℃)加热30-40分钟来制备。其它可用的典型淀粉粘合剂包括改性的阳离子淀粉如改成具有含氮官能团(包括氨基和连接在氮上的羟甲基)的那些淀粉,这些淀粉可从国家淀粉和化学品公司(新泽西州,Bridgewater市)购买,这些淀粉以前一直用作增加湿和/或干强的浆料添加剂。
B.高内相反乳液的组成
本发明的物品包含涂布于载体底物的类脂包水乳液。该乳液包含:(1)连续固化的类脂相;(2)当类脂相是液体时,形成类脂包水乳液的有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂;和(3)分散在类脂相中的内水相。由于这种内相含有大量的水,因此这种乳液一般称为“高内相反乳液”。在使用期间受到低剪切如皮肤或其它表面的擦拭时,这种高内相反乳液破裂,以致释放内水相。
这种连续固化的类脂相为本发明的高内相反乳液提供了基本稳定的结构。特别地,这种连续类脂相使分散的内水相不会在物品使用前,如苛刻的处理期间,提前释放。
这种连续类脂相可约占本发明的乳液的2-60%。优选地,这种连续类脂相将约占该乳液的5-30%。最优选地,这种类脂相约占乳液的6-15%。
这种连续类脂相的主要成分是蜡状的类脂材料。这种类脂材料的特征在于,熔点约30℃或以上,即在室温时为固态。优选地,这种类脂材料具有约50℃或以上的熔点。一般地,这种类脂材料是具有在约40-80℃范围内的熔点,更普通地,是在约50-70℃范围内。
虽然这种蜡状类脂材料在室温时为固体,但在高内相反乳液涂布于载体底物的那些温度时,它需要是液体或塑状的。而且,即使这种类脂材料在乳液涂布于载体底物的那些温度时是液体或塑状的,但在本发明物品的贮存和销售期间通常遇到的高温(例如约50℃或以上)下,它也应该是能稳定(即,未熔化)较长一段时间。这种类脂材料还需要在物品使用的剪切条件下具有足够脆性,以破裂并释放分散的内水相。当用在个人护理产品中如用于肛门附近的清洁的湿状清洁擦拭物,这些类脂材料还应对皮肤提供良好的感觉。
用在本发明的高内相反乳液中的适合蜡状类脂材料包括天然和合成的蜡以及具有蜡状浓度的其它油溶性材料。正如这里所用的,术语“蜡”指有机的混合物或化合物,在室温(如在约25℃)时,它们通常是水不溶的并往往会以无定形或微晶固体的形式存在。适合的蜡包括各种类型的烃,以及某些脂肪酸和脂肪醇的酯。它们可由天然来源(即动物、植物或矿物)获得或合成而得。这些不同种类蜡的混合物也可使用。
可用于本发明的一些代表性的动物和植物蜡包括蜂蜡、巴西棕榈蜡、鲸蜡、羊毛脂、紫胶蜡、小烛树脂和类似物。特别优选的动物和植物蜡是蜂蜡、羊毛脂和小烛树蜡。可用在本发明的来自矿物来源的代表性蜡包括石油基的蜡如石蜡、矿脂和微晶蜡,和化石蜡或地蜡如白纯地蜡(white ceresine wax)、黄地蜡、白地蜡(white ozokerite wax)、和类似物。特别优选的矿物蜡是矿脂、微晶蜡、黄地蜡和白地蜡。可用在本发明的代表性合成蜡包括烯类聚合物如聚乙烯蜡、氯化萘如“卤蜡”(Halo wax),由Fischer-Tropsch合成公司制造的烃类蜡,和类似物。特别优选的合成蜡是聚乙烯蜡。
除了蜡状类脂材料之外,这种连续类脂相可包括微量的其它亲脂或与类脂混溶的材料。加入这些其它的亲脂/与类脂混溶材料在内的目的一般是为了稳定乳液,以使水损失减至最小或改善乳液在皮肤上的美感。可存在于连续类脂相的这种类型的适合材料包括热熔粘合剂如Findley193-336树脂,长链醇如鲸蜡醇、硬脂醇和十六烷芳基(cetaryl)醇,水不溶皂如硬脂酸铝、除有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂以外的硅氧烷聚合物,如公开在1993年6月1日签发(收编于此供参考)的美国专利5,215,626(Ampulski等)中的聚二甲基硅氧烷(如来自Dow Coming公司的Dow 200和Dow 1075,和来自UnionCarbide公司的Silwet 720和Ucarsil),憎水性改性的硅氧烷聚合物如苯基三甲基硅氧烷(Phenyl trimethicone)和类似物。
本发明的高内相反乳液的主要成分是分散的内水相。释放时,这种水相可提供许多不同的益处。例如,在优选的用于肛门附近清洁的湿状清洁擦拭物中,正是这种释放的内水相为这些擦拭物提供了主要清洁作用。在其它产品中,这种释放的内水相可用于传送各种水溶或分散的活性成分。
这种内水相可约占本发明的清洁成分的约39-97%。优选地,这种内水相将约占清洁成分的约67-92%。最优选地,这种水相将约占清洁成分的约82-91%。
除水之外,这种内水相可包含对高内相反乳液的稳定性不会产生不利影响的其它水溶或分散材料。一般包括在内水相中的一种这样的材料是水溶电解质。这种溶解的电解质可使存在于类脂相中的材料也溶解在水相中的倾向减至最小。任何能赋予水相离子强度的电解质都可使用。适合的电解质包括水溶一、二或三价的无机盐如水溶性卤化物,例如,碱金属和碱土金属的氯化物、硝酸盐和硫酸盐。这种电解质的实例包括氯化钠、氯化钙、硫酸钠、硫酸镁和碳酸氢钠。这种电解质一般以水相约1-20%的浓度加入。
可存在于内水相的其它水溶或分散材料包括增稠剂和粘度调节剂。适合的增稠剂和粘度调节剂包括水溶聚丙烯酸和憎水性改进的聚丙烯酸树脂如Carbopol和Pemulen,淀粉如玉米淀粉、土豆淀粉,木薯淀粉,胶如瓜尔胶、金合欢胶,纤维素醚如羟丙基纤维素、羟乙基纤维素、羧甲基纤维素和类似物。这些增稠剂和粘度调节剂一般以约占水相0.05-0.5%的浓度加入的。
可存在于内水相的其它水溶或分散材料包括在水-类脂界面起空间稳定作用的多阳离子聚合物和稳定类脂包水乳液的非离子聚合物。适合的多阳离子聚合物包括Reten 201、Kymene557H和Acco711。适合的非离子聚合物包括聚乙二醇(PEG)如Carbowax。这些多阳离子和非离子聚合物一般以约占水相0.1-1.0%的浓度计入的。
本发明的高内相反乳液的另一主要成分是有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂。在本发明的乳液中,这种乳化剂是以有效量加入的。什么构成这一“有效量”,这将取决于许多因素,这些因素包括类脂和油相成分的各自量、所用的有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂的类型、存在于乳化剂中的杂质的量和类似因素。一般地,这种乳化剂约占乳液的1-10%、优选地,这种乳化剂将约占乳液的2-6%。最优选地,这种乳化剂将约占乳液的3-5%。

由R2所代表的脂肪烃基可包括任一C2到C25的开链石蜡烯烃,和炔属烃,同时石蜡烃是优选的,如乙基、丙基、 己基、癸基、十二烷基、十八烷基、和二十烷基。
由R4所代表的有机基团可包括如C1到C10的亚烷基如亚甲基,二亚甲基,1,3-亚丙基,1,5-亚戊基和1,10-亚癸基;环亚烷基如环亚己基;二价的芳香基如对亚苯基或邻亚苯基;和含氧基团如-COOCH2CH2OOC-和-CH2OCH2-。

当c是0时,这种有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂将是未交联的。对于交联型的(即c是1或更高)有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂,优选地,与R4交联的键不是水解的并且R4不含任何水解键。在普通的有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯中,某些交联会偶然发生在聚氧化烯在一端以羟基终止的末端基处。该羟基可与在两个硅主链的分子之间产生聚氧化烯桥的硅烷起反应。然而,在反应过程中,这种交联的程度是无法进行可靠预测的,而且,在该桥羟基端形成的SiOC键易于水解,特别是在上面描述的极限的操作条件之下。
相反,用于本发明的有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯的优选的桥键是饱和的碳-硅键,它不水解且高度稳定。而且,选择的交联桥的有机或有机硅氧烷体R4无可水解键。没有与加入乳化剂的成分相反应的反应点也是很重要的。另外,R4在任何情况下都不应干扰有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯的形成。
优选的交联基团是以乙烯基终止的有机硅氧烷。有机硅氧烷桥与搭桥的硅氧烷主链合作以在乳液中的水和油界面产生硅氧烷网络。这种网络在产生稳定性能方面是有重要作用,并且是这些乳化剂的特性。最优选的有机硅氧烷交联材料是具有下列化学式的四甲基二乙烯基二硅氧烷:在非极性液体中,这种有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯分子本身必须是可溶的。如果这种有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯可以与溶解性相比拟的方式容易地分散在非极性油中,那么它也可以认为是“可溶的”,正如这里所使用的术语。为了产生这种非极性油的溶解性,悬挂到硅氧烷主链的脂肪烃基的存在或硅氧烷链中大量数目的二甲基硅氧烷基团的存在或二者会使硅氧烷主链的特性减弱。悬挂的聚氧化烯基(Z)也会增强非极性油的溶解性,虽然这需要二甲基硅氧烷基团、脂肪烃基或这两种基团的数量要超过包含在分子中的聚氧化烯基的数量。因此,脂肪烃基悬挂其上的硅氧烷基(X)的数量是1-100。二甲基硅氧烷基(Y)的数量是0-600。悬挂聚氧化烯的硅氧烷基团的数量是1-100。那些三种不同类型的有机取代的硅氧烷基(X+Y+Z)的总和至少是30,优选至少是40。
上面的有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯的通用化学式说明了由单一连接基(即,式中的c是1)搭桥的两种有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯分子。然而,若式中的c大于1,那么在相邻的有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯分子之间可有一个以上的交联桥和/或可能有两个以上的有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯分子连接在一起,正如前面的美国专利4,853,474的第六栏中的化学式所示的。通过搭桥连在一起的有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯聚合物分子的准确数量可能约小于6。对这种交联的一个限制是整个分子量不能变得太大以致引起材料凝胶。因此,必须相对于每一个被交联的单个有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯聚合物分子的分子量来对交联程度进行调节,因为整个分子量必须保持到低得足以避免凝胶的程度。每一个单个聚合物单体的分子量较高,就需要在单体之间具有较少的多重交联。
用于本发明的有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂一般在25℃具有至少约500厘沲的粘度。优选地,该乳化剂具有至少约1000厘沲的粘度。典型地,该乳化剂具有约500-100,000厘沲的粘度,更典型地,该乳化剂具有约1000-30,000厘沲的粘度,最典型地,该乳化剂具有约1000-5000厘沲的粘度。
对于特别优选的有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂,R1是甲基;R2是C8到C18的烷基,R3是氢;R4是-(CH3)2-Si-O-Si(CH3)2-;R5是氢;X是5-60;Y是0-150;Z是1-15;a是10-30;b是10-30;c是0-1。最优选的有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂包括那些:式中R2是C12烷基;X是30-60;Y是0,Z是1-2;C是0-1;a∶b的比率是50∶50到100∶0或更高,如月桂基甲基硅氧烷共多醇(laurylmethicone copolyol)(例如,Dow Corning公司的Q2-5200),和那些:式中R2是C16烷基;X是5-50;Y是25-150;Z是1-15;C是0;a∶b的比率是40∶60到70∶30,如十六烷基二甲基硅氧烷共多醇(如Goldschmidt化学品公司的Abil EM90)。
其它有机乳化剂可用作辅助乳化剂,与有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂同时使用。适合的辅助乳化剂包括某些脱水山梨(糖)醇酯,优选C16-C22饱和、未饱和或有支链脂肪酸的脱水山梨(糖)醇酯。由于它们的独特制造方法,这些脱水山梨(糖)醇酯通常包含一、二、三等酯的混合物。适合脱水山梨(糖)醇酯的代表性实例包括脱水山梨(糖)醇单油酸酯(如,SPAN80),脱水山梨(糖)醇倍半油酸酯(如,Arlacel83),脱水山梨(糖)醇单异硬脂酸酯(如,CRILL6,由Croda公司制造),脱水山梨(糖)醇硬脂酸酯(如,SPAN60),脱水山梨(糖)醇三油酸酯(如,SPAN85),脱水山梨(糖)醇三硬脂酸酯(如,SPAN65)和脱水山梨(糖)醇二棕榈酸酯(如,SPAN40)。脱水山梨(糖)醇单异硬脂酸酯和脱水山梨(糖)醇倍半油酸酯是用于本发明的特别优选的乳化剂。
其它适于用在本发明的辅助乳化剂包括某些甘油单酯,优选C16-C22饱和、未饱和或支链脂肪酸的甘油单酯如甘油单脂酸酯、甘油单棕酸酯、和甘油单山萮酸酯;某些蔗糖脂肪酸酯,优选C12-C22饱和、未饱和和有支链脂肪酸的蔗糖酯如蔗糖三月桂酸酯和蔗糖二硬脂酸酯(如CrodestaF10)和某些C16-C22饱和、未饱和或有支链脂肪酸的聚甘油酯如二甘油单油酸酯和四甘油单油酸酯。
其它适合的辅助乳化剂包括磷脂酰胆碱和含有磷脂酰胆碱的成分如卵磷脂;长链C16-C22脂肪酸盐如硬脂酸钠,长链C16-C22二脂(肪)烃短链C1-C4二脂肪烃的季铵盐如二牛脂二甲基氯化铵和二牛脂二甲基硫酸甲酯铵;长链C16-C22二烷酰基(二烯酰基)(alkenoyl)-2-羟乙基、短链C1-C4二脂肪烃季铵盐如二牛脂酰基(ditallowoyl)-2-羟乙基二甲基氯化铵,长链C16-C22二脂肪烃咪唑啉鎓季铵盐如甲基-1-牛脂酰氨基乙基-2-牛脂咪唑啉鎓硫酸甲酯盐和甲基-1-油基酰氨基乙基-2-油基咪唑啉鎓硫酸甲酯盐;短链C1-C4二脂肪烃,长链C16-C22单脂肪烃苄基季铵盐如二甲基硬脂基苄基氯化铵,和合成的磷脂如硬脂基酰氨基丙基PG二甲基氯化铵(磷脂PTS,由Mona工业公司制造)。界面张力调节剂如用于水-类脂界面更紧密填充的十六烷基和硬脂基醇也可包括在内。
本发明的高内相反乳液还可包含其它可选择的成分,这些成分一般存在于这类乳液的含水溶液中。这些可选择的成分可存在于连续类脂相或内水相,并包含香水、抗微生物(抗细菌)的活性剂、药物活性剂、除臭剂、遮光剂、收敛剂、皮肤增湿剂和类似物,以及这些成分的混合物。作为这种配方的添加剂,所有这些材料在现有技术中都是熟知的,并以有效、适当的量用于本发明的乳液中。根据本发明,包含在湿状清洁擦拭物的乳液中的一种特别优选的可选择成分是作为皮肤调节剂的甘油。
C.其它可选择的擦拭成分
除了高内相反乳液,还有其它可包含在本发明物品中的可选择成分,一般是为了在内水相释放时改进物品的清洁性能。这些可选择成分中的某些成分不能以显著的量(如,大于内水相的2%)存在于乳液中,因为它们会引起乳液的过早破裂。这些成分包括具有相对高HLB值(如,HLBs约为10-25)的各种阴离子洗涤剂表面活性剂,如线型烷基苯磺酸钠(LAS)或烷基乙氧基硫酸盐(AES),以及非离子洗涤剂表面活性剂如烷基乙氧基化物、烷基氧化胺、烷基聚糖苷,两性离子洗涤剂表面活性剂,两性洗涤剂表面活性剂,和阳离子洗涤剂表面活性剂如十六烷基三甲基铵盐和月桂基三甲基铵盐。见1986年7月1日签发的美国专利4,597,898(Vander Meet)(该专利收编于此供参考),特别是在第12栏到第16栏,可见到代表性的阴离子,非离子、两性离子、两性的和阳离子的洗涤剂表面活性剂。换言之,这些高HLB洗涤表面活性剂可与乳液分开应用或包含这种物品中。例如,这些高HLB洗涤剂表面活性剂可涂布于载体底物的一面,同时将高内相反乳液涂布于底物的另一面。擦拭期间,乳液破裂,释放水,致使它然后可与高HLB洗涤剂表面活性剂结合以提供改进的硬表面清洁。
D.乳液处理的物品的制备
在制备根据本发明的物品时,这种高内相类脂包水反乳液最初是按配方制造的。一般地,这是通过将类脂相成分和有机聚合硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂混合或熔化来取得的。将这种类脂/乳化剂混合物加热的特定温度将取决于脂相成分的熔点。一般地,在与水相成分混合、调合或融合在一起之前,要先将这种类脂/乳化剂混合物加热到在约40-90℃范围内的一个温度,优选在50-80℃内。然后,一般是在高剪切条件下,将这种熔化的类脂/乳化剂混合物与水相成分调合并混合在一起形成这种乳液。
然后在上面所指出的温度,以流体或塑态将这种高内相反乳液涂布于载体底物,如纸幅。可使具有流体或塑性浓度的材料均匀分布的任一涂布方法都可用于涂布这种乳液。适合的方法包括喷涂、印刷(如,苯胺印刷或丝网印刷),涂布(如,凹印涂布),挤压,或这些涂布技术的组合,如将洗涤剂表面活性剂喷涂到纸幅上,接着通过凹印涂布将乳液涂布到洗涤剂处理的纸幅上。
可将这种乳液涂布到纸幅的一面或两面,或在多片纸幅的情况中,可涂布到各片的内表面。例如,在两片纸幅的情况中,可将这种乳液至少涂布到各片的相对的内表面之一上,使纸幅的外表面没有乳液。一般是将这种乳液涂布到纸幅的两面。将乳液涂布到纸幅的两面可连续或同时进行。一旦乳液已涂布到纸幅,就可冷却并固化以在纸幅的表面上形成固化的,一般不连续的涂层或膜。
一般是在纸幅干燥后将这种高内相反乳液涂布于纸幅,即“干纸幅”涂布法。也可将这种乳液非均匀地涂布到纸幅的表面。“非均匀”指乳液在纸幅表面上的量,分布型式等可变化。例如,纸幅表面的某些部分可具有较多或较少量的乳液,包括其上无任何乳液的部分表面。
可在纸幅已干燥后的任何时候将这种高内相反乳液涂布于纸幅。例如,可在纸幅已从杨克烘缸起皱之后将乳液涂布于纸幅。通常优选当纸幅从大卷筒(parent roll)上退纸并在复卷到较小的成品纸轴之前,将乳液涂布到纸幅。
在将本发明的高内相反乳液涂布于纸幅时,喷涂和凹印涂布(gravurecoating)方法通常是优选的。图1说明了这样一种优选方法,这种方法是将乳液喷涂到纸幅10上。参照图1,这种喷涂系统具有一个喷头12,它将这种乳液的分散喷雾14涂布到纸幅10上。
这种喷涂系统是由一台机组驱动的,这台机组是由一个球螺旋传动机构(ball screw drive)16组成的,该传动机构16是由联合器(coupling)18连接到液压缸22的活塞26上。部分液压缸22示于图1中,它已用30表示的高内相反乳液填充。加热液压缸22,以使乳液30处于液体或塑状。借助4道联合器34(它有连接到加热的填充口的管道38)将乳液30输入到液压缸22。联合器34还有一个管道46,它连接到压力计50和喷头12。有三个由56,58和60表示的阀门,它们控制管道36和46中的乳液流动。示于图1的这种喷涂系统还有一个与喷头12相连的管道64,这使得用68表示的空气可以进入喷头。管道64还有一个压力计和控制器72,以控制和测定管道中的空气压力。加热管道64和46以使乳液在涂布于纸幅之前处于熔融的状态。
为用乳液30填充液压缸22,关闭阀门56和60并打开阀门58。驱动球形螺旋传动机构16,致使活塞26向左边移动。在液压缸22中产生的真空会通过管道38从填充口46抽出乳液并进入液压缸22。为向喷头12供应来自液压缸22的乳液,关闭阀门58并打开阀门56和60。驱动球形螺旋传动机构16,致使活塞26向右边移动。这使得乳液30从液压缸22出来并进入联合器34的管道46。然后该乳液经过阀门60并进入喷头12,在此,通过来自管道64的空气的掺入而使乳液分散以形成分散的喷雾14,继而涂布到纸幅10上。
图2说明了涂布高内相反乳液的另一种方法,它包含挠性轮转凹印式涂布系统。参照图2,干纸幅110从大卷筒薄页纸112(以箭头112a所指的方向旋转)上退下来并绕过转向辊114、116和118运行。从转向辊118,纸幅110运行到均用120表示的凹面涂布工段,然后在这里将乳液涂布到纸幅的两面。离开工段120后,纸幅110成为用122表示的经处理的纸幅。经处理的纸幅122运行到复卷机纸轴126(沿箭头126a所示的方向旋转)表面,并且然后卷到成品纸纸轴128(沿箭头128a所示的方向旋转)上。
工段120包含一对加热的连接的凹版印刷机(压式涂布机)130和134。印刷机130由一个较小的anilox缸138和一个较大的印板缸142组成;印刷机134类似地由一个较小的anilox缸146和一个较大的印板缸150组成。每一个anilox缸138和146都具有一个陶瓷或铬表面,而每一个印板缸142和150都具有一个凸版图案装饰的橡胶、尿烷,或光聚合物表面。这些anilox和印板缸分别沿箭头138a、142a、146a和150a所表示的方向旋转。如图2所示,印板缸142和150相互对置并形成154所示的压区(nip area),纸幅110经由这个压区运行。
在由箭头158和162所表示的压区,将热的、熔融的(如,60℃)乳液以恒定的体积流速分别泵到或喷涂到这些相连的凹版印刷机130和134的每一个上。换言之,以与乳液涂布于纸幅110的相同的速率将乳液加到相连的凹面印刷机130和134上。这消除了乳液在系统中的“堆积”。随着anilox缸138和146沿箭头138a和14ba所表示的方向旋转,它们起旋转刮刀的作用,以使乳液分别均匀分布在印板缸142和150的整个表面上,并排除印板缸142和150上的多余乳液。
然后,分布在印板缸142和150(沿箭头142a和150a所表示的相对方向旋转)上的乳液在压区154转移到纸幅110的两面。转移到纸幅110的乳液量可由下列因素控制:(1)调节印板缸142和150之间的压区154的宽度;(2)调节anilox/印板缸组138/142和146/150之间的压区158和162的宽度;(3)缸142和150上的印板的压印图像的凹凸(print image relief)(即凹部深度,valley depth);(4)缸142和150上的印板的压印面积(即凹部面积);和/或(6)缸142和150上的印板的压印图案。

下列实施例具体说明了根据本发明的湿状清洁擦拭物的制备,这些实施例是用高内相类脂包水反乳液来处理薄页纸幅:
实施例Ⅰ
A)乳液制备
类脂包水乳液是由示于表Ⅰ的下列成分制备的:表Ⅰ

B)将乳液涂布到载体底物
用图1所示的喷涂系统可将乳液涂布到薄页纸幅。将乳液加热到60℃的温度,致使它成为流体或熔化状态。当球形螺旋驱动机构16驱动活塞26(直径为3.5英寸)时,它以0.002英寸/秒的线性速度移动,以将乳液推出液压缸22(乳液压力约为12磅/英寸2,psig)。该乳液进入喷头12(由Illinis州,Wheaton市的喷涂系统公司制造的外部混合喷头,它具有SUE15喷头结构),并分散在加热到约60℃的空气(1.2磅/英寸2)中。然后从喷头12以分散的喷雾形式将乳液涂布到纸幅,同时纸幅以约28英尺/分的速度复卷。例如,可在复卷机纸轴和成品纸之间的压区(如在图2所示的表面复卷机纸轴126和成品纸大纸轴128之间的压区)对纸幅进行喷涂。结果,该乳液以约50%的上涂率涂布到了纸幅的两面。
也可用图2所示的挠性轮转凹印式涂布系统将乳液涂布到薄页纸幅底物上。在箭头158和162所指示的压区,以20毫升/分的恒定的体积流速将热的、熔融的(60℃)乳液分别泵到或喷涂到相连的凹版印刷机130和134的每一个上。Anilox缸138和146将乳液分别均匀分布到压印板缸142和150的整个表面上(每一个缸都以约40英尺/分的速度旋转)。然后缸142和150将乳液转移到纸幅110的两面。涂布的纸幅122转移到表面复卷机纸轴126,致使纸幅122的涂布中心宽度是处在纸轴126的受压压印区之上。因此,纸幅122的涂布中心宽度没有与纸轴126的表面接触,而纸幅122的未涂布边缘是与纸轴126的表面接触。然后纸幅122卷到成品纸轴128上。乳液以约50%的上涂率涂布到了纸幅122的两面。

Claims (48)
1、一种物品,它含有:
a.载体;
b.涂布于所说的载体的类脂包水乳液,所说的乳液包含:
(1)2-60%的连续固化的类脂相,该类脂相含有熔点30℃或以上的蜡状类脂材料;
(2)39-97%分散在所说的类脂相中的内水相;和
(3)有效量的有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂,当所说的类脂相为液态时,这种乳化剂能形成所说的乳液。
2、权利要求1的物品,其中所说的载体选自纺织材料、无纺织材料、泡沫、海绵、棉胎球状物、蓬松的团和薄膜。

26、权利要求25的方法,其中所述的乳液以恒定的体积流速涂布于载体。
27、权利要求25的方法,其中所述的乳液通过挠性轮转凹印式涂布到载体上。
28、权利要求22的方法,其中所述的载体为纸幅。
29、权利要求28的方法,其中所述的乳液同时涂布于纸幅的两面上。
30、权利要求28的方法,其中所说的纸幅包含两片,它们具有相对的内表面,并且所说的乳液涂布到了所说的相对内表面的至少一面。
31、权利要求22的方法,还包括同乳液分开,将洗涤表面活性剂涂布于载体上的步骤,该洗涤表面活性剂的HLB值为10-25。
32、权利要求22的方法,其中所说的乳液包含5-30%所说的类脂相;和约67-92%所说的水相。

35、权利要求34的方法,其中所说的蜡状类脂材料选自蜂蜡、羊毛脂、小烛树蜡、矿脂、微晶蜡、黄地蜡、白地蜡、聚乙烯蜡及其混合物。

38、权利要求37的方法,其中R2是C12烷基,X是30-60,Y是0,Z是1-2,c是0-1,和a∶b的比率是50∶50至100∶0。
39、权利要求37的方法,其中R2是C16烷基,X是5-50,Y是25-150,c是0,Z是1-15,a∶b的比率是40∶60到70∶30。

41、权利要求40的物品,其中所述乳化剂在25℃的粘度从1000至约30,000厘沲。

a.纸幅底物;
b.涂布于所说的载体的类脂包水乳液,所说的乳液包含:
(1)5-30%的连续固化类脂相,它含有熔点为50℃或以上的蜡状类脂材料,并选自动物蜡、植物蜡、矿物蜡、合成蜡和其混合物;
(2)67-92%的内水相,它分散在所说的类脂相中;和
(3)2-6%的有机聚硅氧烷-聚氧化烯乳化剂,当类脂相处于液态时,这种乳化剂能形成浮液。
43、权利要求42的擦拭物,其中所说的乳液包含6-15%所说的类脂相;和82-91%所说的水相。
44、权利要求43的擦拭物,其中所述的蜡状类脂材料选自矿脂、微晶蜡、黄地蜡、白地蜡、聚乙烯蜡及其混合物。
45、权利要求43的擦拭物,其中所述的乳化剂具有下列通式:其中R1为甲基;R2为C8-C18烷基;R3为氢;R4为-(CH3)2-Si-O-Si(CH3)2-;R5为氢;x为5-60;y为0-600;z为1-100;x+y+z至少为30;a为4-40;b为10-30,c为0-1;a∶b为20∶80至100∶0。
46、权利要求43的物品,还包括同乳液分开涂布到所述载体的洗涤表面活性剂,所述表面活性剂HLB值为约10-25,并选自线型烷基苯磺酸钠、线性烷基乙氧基硫酸钠、烷基乙氧基化物、烷基氧化胺、烷基聚糖苷、二牛脂二甲基铵盐、十六烷基三甲基铵盐、月桂基三甲基铵盐及其混合物。
47、权利要求43的物品,其中所述的乳液还包括选自以下的组分:香料、抗微生物活性剂、药物活性剂、除臭剂、遮光剂、收剑剂、皮肤保湿剂及其混合物。
48、权利要求47的物品,其中所述的组分包括甘油。
