聚(乙酸乙烯酯)分散体和包含其的油漆配制品
技术领域
本发明涉及一种聚(乙酸乙烯酯)分散体。尤其地,本发明涉及一种包含聚(乙酸乙烯酯)分散体的高颜料体积浓度(PVC)油漆配制品。
背景技术
由于聚(乙酸乙烯酯)分散体与工业中常用的其它聚合物分散体相比有成本效益并且为环境友好型的,并且因此向油漆配制品提供更好的遮盖效率,因此其用于油漆工业中。但是,其不善于提供竞争性可洗性和早期抗粉化性,尤其在PVC高于60%的油漆中。
已进行研究并且发现含磷单体如甲基丙烯酸磷酸乙酯(PEM)可以大大地提高油漆可洗性,但令人遗憾的是带来了油漆的稳定性问题。
因而在油漆工业中需要聚合物分散体,其向油漆配制品提供令人满意的油漆稳定性、可洗性以及早期抗粉化性。
发明内容
本发明提供一种聚合物分散体,其包含按所述聚合物分散体的总干燥重量计以干燥重量计a)60%到95%乙酸乙烯酯单体,b)0.2%到2.5%含磷烯丙基单体;以及c)0.2%到2.5%衣康酸单体;其中单体b)和c)的总量按所述聚合物分散体的总干燥重量计以干燥重量计是0.5%到2.5%,并且单体b)与单体b)和c)的干燥重量比是0.2到0.6。
本发明进一步提供一种包含所述聚合物分散体的PVC高于60%的油漆配制品。
具体实施方式
本发明提供一种聚合物粒子的聚合物分散体,其包含按聚合物粒子的总干燥重量计以干燥重量计a)60%到95%、优选65%到90%并且更优选70%到85%的乙酸乙烯酯;b)0.2%到2.5%、优选0.4%到2.0%并且更优选0.8%到1.5%的含磷烯丙基单体;以及c)0.2%到2.5%、优选0.4%到2.0%并且更优选0.8%到1.5%的衣康酸。
单体b)和c)的总量按聚合物分散体的总干燥重量计以干燥重量计是0.5%到2.5%,优选0.7%到2.0%,并且更优选1.0%到1.5%。
单体b)与单体b)和c)的干燥重量比是0.2到0.6,优选0.25到0.55,并且更优选0.3到0.5。
含磷烯丙基单体具有式(I)的化学结构:
[CH2=CH-CH2-R2-O-]xP(=O)(OM)3-x (I),
其中:
R2是二价连接基团,优选是(聚)氧基亚烷基。
x是1到2的平均数,并且
相同或不同的M是氢原子或阳离子抗衡离子。
如果M是氢原子,那么含磷烯丙基单体被认为呈酸的形式。如果M是抗衡离子,那么烯丙基单体被认为呈盐的形式或中和形式。M是NH4 +、Na+或K+。含磷烯丙基单体可以是部分酸性和部分中和的。中和可以发生在聚合介质中添加单体之后。
含磷烯丙基单体可以是x=1的磷酸一酯与x=2的磷酸二酯的混合物。一酯和二酯的相应量为以使得x等于或高于1,例如,等于或高于1.01,并且等于或低于2,例如,等于或低于1.99。数字x优选是1到1.5,更优选1到1.2并且最优选1.01到1.2。可提及的是,x=1.2对应于80/20的一酯/二酯摩尔比。

优选地,烯系不饱和非离子单体选自叔碳酸乙烯基酯、丁二烯、α-烯烃、(甲基)丙烯酸的C2-C12烷基酯、其任何衍生物以及其任何组合。
本发明的聚合物分散体可以进一步包含按聚合物粒子的总干燥重量计以干燥重量计0.01%到5%、优选0.1%到3%并且更优选0.3%到2%的稳定剂单体。
稳定剂单体的合适实例包括苯乙烯磺酸钠(SSS)、乙烯基磺酸钠(SVS)、2-丙烯酰氨基-2-甲基丙烷磺酸(AMPS)、丙烯酰胺(AM)以及其任何组合。优选地,稳定剂单体选自SVS、AMPS以及其组合。

本发明的颜料典型地是无机颜料粒子,并且优选是能够显著有助于油漆的不透明性或遮盖能力的微粒无机材料。这类材料的折射率典型地等于或大于1.8,并且包括二氧化钛(TiO2)、氧化锌、硫化锌、硫酸钡以及碳酸钡。二氧化钛(TiO2)为优选的。
增量剂典型地是折射率小于或等于1.8并且大于1.3的微粒无机材料,并且包括碳酸钙、粘土、硫酸钙、铝硅酸盐、硅酸盐、沸石、云母、硅藻土、实心或空心玻璃以及瓷珠。

油漆配制品的制备涉及以下方法:选择并且以恰当比例混合适当油漆成分以提供具有特定加工和处理特性的油漆以及具有所需特性的最终干燥油漆膜。
油漆配制品可以通过常规涂覆方法(如刷涂、辊涂)和喷涂方法(如空气雾化喷涂、空气辅助喷涂、无空气喷涂、高体积低压力喷涂以及空气辅助无空气喷涂)来涂覆。
用于油漆涂覆的合适衬底包括混凝土、水泥板、中等密度纤维板(MDF)以及粒子板、石膏板、木材、石材、金属、塑料、壁纸以及纺织品等。优选地,所有衬底都由水性或溶剂型底漆预涂布。

II.测试程序
1.可洗性

2.油漆稳定性

3.早期抗粉化性

III.实验实例
1.聚合物分散体的制备
通过混合249g BA、1387.4g VA、14.17g SVS、4.96g SILQUEST A-171单体、8.27gIA、20.48g(40%活性)SIPOMER COPS-3单体、13.61g TERGITOL 15-S-40表面活性剂(70%活性)、66.16g RHODAFAC RS-610/A25表面活性剂(25%活性)以及310.35g去离子(DI)水并且在搅拌下乳化,来制备单体乳液。将590g DI水和90g单体乳液馈到装备有机械搅拌的五升多颈烧瓶中。在氮气气氛下将烧瓶的内含物加热到84℃。将含0.02g FeSO4.7H2O和0.02gEDTA的5g DI水、含3.51g SPS和0.31g乙酸钠的31g DI水添加到搅拌的烧瓶中。历经180分钟将单体乳液的剩余部分、含3.51g SPS的66g DI水以及含0.75g IAA的66g DI水逐渐添加到烧瓶中。将反应温度维持在75℃下。随后使用30g DI水来冲洗烧瓶的进料管线,并且在搅动下历经30分钟将含4.2g t-BHP的60g DI水和含3.23g SBS的60g水供应到烧瓶中。将烧瓶的内含物冷却到室温。历经10分钟添加含1.5g NaOH的28.5g DI水作为中和剂,得到聚合物分散体1。

聚合物分散体7使用249g VEOVA 10单体来代替BA。
由可商购自布鲁克海文仪器公司(Brookhaven Instruments Corporation)的BI-90粒度分析器测试每一种聚合物分散体的粒度。
在150℃烘箱中测试每一种聚合物分散体的固体40分钟。

结果展示于表3中。比较油漆8(Comp.8)是包含聚(乙酸乙烯酯)分散体的油漆配制品,并且具有较差的早期抗粉化性(白垩等级是2)。在相同的乙酸乙烯酯浓度下,与Comp.8相比,比较油漆9(Comp.9)和10(Comp.10)进一步并且分别包含本发明的含磷烯丙基单体(COPS-3)和衣康酸,虽然它们中的任一个仍具有极严重的油漆稳定性问题(Comp.9的ΔKU是18)或早期粉化问题(Comp.10的白垩等级是3),但Comp.9和Comp.10均提高了油漆可洗性性能。这指示含磷烯丙基单体或衣康酸对油漆早期抗粉化性或油漆稳定性起重要作用。仍然在相同的乙酸乙烯酯浓度下,与使用IA的油漆4相比,比较油漆11(Comp.11)和12(Comp.12)分别使用AA和MAA来代替IA,具有更差的油漆可洗性性能。这指示IA对油漆可洗性的关键作用。比较油漆13(Comp.13)包含COPS-3和IA两者,同时COPS-3/(IA+COPS-3)的干燥重量比超过所需范围,并且是0.77。Comp.13具有较差的油漆稳定性(ΔKU是14.4)。在相同的乙酸乙烯酯浓度下,油漆1-7在油漆可洗性、稳定性以及早期抗粉化性性能方面良好。

Claims (9)

1.一种聚合物分散体,其包含按所述聚合物分散体的总干燥重量计以干燥重量计a)60%到95%乙酸乙烯酯单体,b)0.2%到2.5%含磷烯丙基单体;以及c)0.2%到2.5%衣康酸单体;其中单体b)和c)的总量按所述聚合物分散体的总干燥重量计以干燥重量计是0.5%到2.5%,并且单体b)与单体b)和c)的干燥重量比是0.2到0.6。
2.根据权利要求1所述的聚合物分散体,其中所述含磷烯丙基单体是下式(I)的单体
[CH2=CH-CH2-R2-O-]xP(=O)(OM)3-x
其中R2是二价连接基团,x是1到2的平均数,并且M是氢原子或阳离子抗衡离子。
3.根据权利要求2所述的聚合物分散体,其中R2是式-[O-A-]n-的(聚)氧基亚烷基,其中A是式-CH2-CH2-或-CH2-CH(CH3)-或-CH(CH3)-CH2-的基团,并且n是至少1的平均数。
4.根据权利要求1所述的聚合物分散体,其包含按所述聚合物分散体的总干燥重量计以干燥重量计1%到40%的烯系不饱和非离子单体。
5.根据权利要求4所述的聚合物分散体,其中所述烯系不饱和非离子单体选自叔碳酸乙烯基酯、丁二烯、α-烯烃、(甲基)丙烯酸的C2-C12烷基酯、其任何衍生物以及其任何组合。
6.根据权利要求1所述的聚合物分散体,其包含按所述聚合物分散体的总干燥重量计以干燥重量计0.01%到5%的稳定剂单体,其中所述稳定剂单体选自乙烯基磺酸钠、2-丙烯酰氨基-2-甲基丙烷磺酸以及其任何组合。
7.根据权利要求1所述的聚合物分散体,其包含按所述聚合物分散体的总干燥重量计以干燥重量计至多3%的烷氧基硅烷官能化单体。
8.根据权利要求7所述的聚合物分散体,其中所述烷氧基硅烷官能化单体选自乙烯基三烷氧基硅烷、(甲基)丙烯酰氧基烷基三烷氧基硅烷、其任何衍生物以及其任何组合。
9.一种油漆配制品,其PVC高于60%,包含根据权利要求1所述的聚合物分散体。
