Description

Small water turtle breeding method
Technical Field
The invention relates to a turtle breeding technology. More specifically, the invention relates to a method for breeding small water turtles.
Background
Small water turtles (the scientific name: Cyclemys trifasciata), belonging to the order Testudinidae of the class Reptilia, also known as small water turtles, Tortoise Scabroides and Tortoise Red, can be used as ornamental turtles, which prefer to inhabit places with shade, have social habits, and need to hibernate every year in winter. The small water turtle has the characteristics of wide eating quality, strong disease resistance, strong hunger resistance, strong vitality and the like, is convenient to artificially feed and has considerable economic value. In addition, the small water turtle has extremely high medicinal value, is a traditional Chinese medicinal material and is one of the traditional export commodities in China. Live in water, mainly feed on earthworms, and also feed on fish, shrimps, insects and some plant food in rivers. Although the small water turtles have the characteristics of wide eating ability, strong disease resistance, hunger resistance, strong vitality and the like, the small water turtles can also cause symptoms such as poor growth and development, anorexia, morbidity and the like due to unreasonable feeding and raising amount.
