在另外一个方面,本披露涉及一种提供数字印刷的染料热升华油墨层压材料的方法,该层压材料包括具有第一表面和第二表面的胶粘剂层、可释放地固定到该胶粘剂层的第一表面的可选分离层、覆在该胶粘剂层的第二表面上的衬底、具有一个表面覆在该衬底上的数字印刷的染料热升华油墨层、覆在该印刷层的另一个表面上的压敏胶膜载体,从而形成多层叠片。该染料热升华油墨层的热升华油墨可以形成图像和/或标记。该方法还包括使该多层叠片的分离层与胶粘剂分离并形成面料分离的元素叠片,然后将该面料分离的元素叠片定位在一个纺织品物品(例如服装、服饰)上方,并且在该压敏胶粘剂载体上应用热和压力方案,由此使该叠片附于该纺织品物品。然后在使该叠片粘附之后从该数字印刷的染料热升华层上去除该载体,以在该纺织品物品上提供数字印刷的染料热升华标签。可选地,在去除该载体之后,在该热升华油墨印刷层上应用第二热和压力方案。

按照需要,在此披露了本发明的详细实施例。然而,应理解,所披露的实施例仅是本发明的示例,可以将它们以不同的形式实施。因此,在此披露的具体细节不应解释为限制性的,而是仅作为一种基准用于权利要求书和作为一种代表性的基准用于教导本领域普通技术人员以几乎任何适合的方式多样化地使用本发明。
图1提供了该产品及其生产和使用方法的实施例的流程图。首先,在步骤100中,提供一种层压材料(在图2中示出),其中,层压材料40具有胶粘剂层42,该胶粘剂层42具有第一表面50和第二表面51。还提供了具有顶表面54和底表面53的衬底43,以便衬底43的底表面53覆在胶粘剂层42的第二表面51上。这些层通常是基本上彼此并列的,但是还应在本发明的范围之内考虑到,这些层可以稍微张开而不对准或延伸超出彼此的边缘或侧面。
在一个实施例中,可提供可选分离层41,以便该分离层粘附到胶粘剂层42的第一表面50。在衬底43的顶表面54上方提供染料热升华油墨层44,并且在油墨层44上方提供载体层45,从而形成多层叠片。染料热升华油墨层44的热升华油墨可以被数字印刷为图像和/或标记,或可以是在衬底上方提供的固体层。接下来,在步骤110中,该层压材料被粘在制品,该制品能够是纺织消费品,如衣着类商品。粘结包括使用热和压力两者。最后,在步骤120中,从层压材料40上去除载体层45。如果利用分离层41,则在将该层压材料粘结到物品之前将其从该层压材料去除。
在一个实施例中,本发明的层压材料准备作为无标牌标签而通过去除分离层而用于服装、面料或其他物品,由此暴露胶粘剂层。还设想该层压材料能够出于应用目的而被切成不同的形状和大小。例如,在一个实施例中,该层压材料可被切成具体的数字或字母而用于运动衫或其他服装。可替代地,该层压材料可采用任何形状,如商标或其他任何几何构型。着重注意的是,该分离层是可选的,并不需要使用。通常使用粘结机将该层压材料粘结到服装或其他纺织品,在图1展示的方法的步骤110中,该粘结机在选定时间段内施加热和压力。本方法使用的适于粘结机的示例是AveryDennisonAD-718,该粘结机只从顶表面施加热,以便热量向下穿透这些层。在一些应用中,在发生去除载体层之后,通过粘结机进行第二轮操作。
图2展示了根据本发明的数字印刷的热升华染料层压材料的构造。图2示出了一般由参考数字40表示的标签,其具有置于第一表面50与第二表面51之间的胶粘剂层42。可选分离层41可被粘附到胶粘剂层42的第一表面50。在胶粘剂层42的第二表面51上方提供了具有顶表面54和底表面53的衬底层43。在衬底层43上方提供染料热升华油墨层44,并且可选载体层45覆于该油墨层上。在一个实施例中,在该衬底层上数字印刷染料热升华油墨层。该热升华油墨可形成图像、文字和/或标记。
该数字印刷的染料热升华油墨层热升华成该衬底层,并且与该衬底层的分子相互作用。通过将图像和/或标记的油墨与该衬底层进行相互作用,本发明的层压材料具有增加的耐久性,这对于市场上已有的层压材料是一种改进。将热升华染料产生的图像或标记反转印在该衬底上,以使该图像和/或标记被转移时易于读出。在一个实施例中,衬底层43是涂料纸层。衬底43还可以是材料层,如涤纶、涤纶混纺或聚氨纶。该衬底还可以是膜或任何其他能接纳油墨面料/聚合物的热升华油墨。
在一个实施例中,该衬底层可以是反光面料。
胶粘剂层42通常是热熔性胶粘剂层,如涤纶型热熔性胶粘剂。本领域已知各种不同的热熔性胶粘剂。胶粘剂层42应适于无标牌标签的传递和粘附,通常比该染料热升华面料层的厚度更薄,一般是该厚度的三分之一量级。就这点而言,展示的胶粘剂层的厚度在大约1密耳与大约7密耳(大约25微米与大约178微米)之间,或在大约2密耳与大约5密耳(大约50微米与大约127微米)之间,或在大约2密耳与大约4密耳(大约50微米与大约100微米)之间的范围内。
进一步参照本实施例相关描述的胶粘剂层42,胶粘剂42具有适合承受高温洗涤试验的模量,如一些服装制造商需要的。该胶粘剂还必须在热熔性粘附过程中具有对合成纤维的合适的粘附性。通常,将该胶粘剂连续挤出或覆墨为如本文所讨论的厚度。在许多应用中,当加热5秒至50秒时,该胶粘剂需要在250°F与350°F之间(近似121℃到177℃)的温度下熔化并在织物组织中流动。在一些应用中,该粘结温度是在大约285°F与330°F之间(近似140℃到165℃)。
本发明设想,在一个实施例中,染料热升华油墨层44可具有一部分未展现热升华染料特征的所述层,以便该热升华染料不与该衬底相互作用。
为了便于保护并传递标签,能够提供支持部,如释放层,其为该标签组件提供了机械强度,以允许处理,如,用于储存、叠放的卷起成卷,以及如为机械操作的标签供给。基本上,该支持部包括薄板载体和分离层两者。典型的载体是纤维素膜或聚合物膜。典型的分离层是薄板载体上的低熔化温度的薄涂层膜,其有利于在热传递完成时使转移部从薄板载体上剥落。可以使用的分离层的另一个示例是有机硅涂布纸分离层。
在一个实施例中,载体层45可以是压敏胶膜。染料热升华油墨层44和载体层45的组合厚度可以是分离层和胶粘剂层的组合厚度的近似2.5倍和3.5倍之间。本发明还设想,在一个实施例中,该载体层可以是耐热的。
在本发明的一个实施例中,能够在层压材料40上完全切出具体的图像,如数字或字母。这种切法能够通过激光、机械冲切或刻字机来实现,并且能够在将分离层和载体与多层层压材料结构分离之前完成。

Claims (17)

1.一种层压材料,包括:
具有第一表面和第二表面的胶粘剂层;
具有顶表面和底表面的衬底层,其中,该衬底层的所述底表面覆在该胶粘剂层的所述第二表面上;
覆在该衬底层的所述顶表面上的染料热升华油墨层;
覆在该染料热升华油墨层上的载体层;并且
其中,该染料热升华层与该衬底层相互作用。
2.如权利要求1所述的层压材料,其中,该衬底层是涤纶。
3.如权利要求1所述的层压材料,还包括粘附到该胶粘剂层的所述第一面的分离层。
4.如权利要求3所述的层压材料,其中,该染料热升华油墨层和载体层的组合厚度是所述分离层和所述胶粘剂的组合厚度的近似2.5与3.5倍之间。
5.如权利要求1所述的层压材料,其中,该载体层是压敏胶膜。
6.如权利要求1所述的层压材料,其中,该载体层是耐热的。
7.如权利要求1所述的层压材料,其中,如权利要求1所述的胶粘剂是热熔性胶粘剂。
8.如权利要求1所述的层压材料,其中,该染料热升华油墨层是数字印刷的,并且包括图像和/或标记。
9.如权利要求1所述的层压材料,其中,所述染料热升华油墨层的厚度是大约7密耳与大约10密耳之间,即大约178微米与大约254微米之间,并且该胶粘剂层的厚度是在大约2密耳与大约5密耳之间,即大约50微米与大约127微米之间。
10.如权利要求1所述的层压材料,其中,该衬底层是面料层。
11.一种染料热升华油墨层压材料,包括:
具有第一表面和第二表面的热熔性胶粘剂层;
可释放地固定到该热熔性胶粘剂层的所述第一表面的分离层;
具有顶表面和底表面的涤纶层,其中,该底表面被粘附到该热熔性胶粘剂层的所述第二表面;
数字印刷的染料热升华油墨层,其一个表面覆在该涤纶层的所述顶表面上,其中,该油墨层热升华成所述涤纶层;
压敏胶膜载体,其覆在该染料热升华的、数字印刷的染料热升华油墨层上,形成了多层组合叠片;并且
其中,该分离层与该多层叠片的所述热熔性胶粘剂分离,并且该压敏胶膜载体与该多层叠片的所述数字印刷的染料热升华层分离,以提供所述染料热升华的数字印刷层压材料。
12.如权利要求11所述的层压材料,其中,该多层叠片是通过在将该分离层和该压敏胶膜载体与该多层层压材料分离之前切成所述层压材料所需的形状来形成的。
13.如权利要求11所述的层压材料,其中,所述染料热升华数字印刷层的厚度是大约7密耳与大约10密耳之间,即大约178微米与大约254微米之间,并且所述热熔性胶粘剂层的厚度是在大约2密耳与大约5密耳之间,即大约50微米与大约127微米之间。
14.一种将染料热升华的层压材料加到物品的方法,包括:
提供层压材料,该层压材料具有:具有第一表面和第二表面的胶粘剂层、具有顶表面和底表面的材料层、以及覆在该材料层的所述顶表面上的染料热升华油墨层,其中,该材料层的所述底表面覆在该胶粘剂层的所述第二表面上;并且
使用热和压力将该层压材料粘结到物品,其中,该染料热升华油墨层热升华成所述材料层。
15.如权利要求14所述的方法,其中,该层压材料还包括粘附到该胶粘剂层的所述第一表面的分离层。
16.如权利要求14所述的方法,其中,在将该层压材料粘结到物品之前去除该分离层。
17.如权利要求14所述的方法,其中,该层压材料还包括在该染料热升华油墨层上方的载体层。
