具体实施方式
如本文所用,除非上下文另作明确指示,否则以下术语具有所指定的定义。术语“杀微生物剂”指的是能够抑制微生物生长的控制微生物生长的化合物;杀微生物剂包括杀菌剂、杀真菌剂和除藻剂。术语“微生物”包括例如真菌(例如酵母和霉菌)、细菌以及藻类。说明书全文中使用以下缩写:ppm=重量百万分率(重量/重量),mL=毫升。除非另外规定,否则温度以摄氏度(℃)为单位,提到百分比为重量百分比(重量%)并且量和比率是按活性成分(即苯甲酸盐或山梨酸盐和非离子表面活性剂的总重量)计。环氧丙烷或环氧乙烷的聚合单元数为数目平均值。
优选地,苯甲酸盐或山梨酸盐为碱金属盐;优选锂、钠或钾;优选钠或钾。优选地,苯甲酸盐为苯甲酸钠。优选地,山梨酸盐为山梨酸钾。术语“苯甲酸盐或山梨酸盐”涵盖苯甲酸盐与山梨酸盐的混合物。

本发明进一步针对一种抑制金黄色葡萄球菌(S.aureus)于水性介质中的生长的方法,其通过添加:(a)具有以下结构的非离子表面活性剂:
R2O(CH2CH(CH3)O)3(CH2CH2O)5H
其中R2为C8-C14直链烷基的混合物;和(b)苯甲酸盐或山梨酸盐;其中所述非离子表面活性剂与所述苯甲酸盐或山梨酸盐的重量比为1∶2.9982到1∶109.7646。
本发明进一步针对一种抑制霉菌(优选黑曲霉(A.niger))在水性介质中生长的方法,其通过添加:(a)具有以下结构的非离子表面活性剂:
R2O(CH2CH(CH3)O)3(CH2CH2O)5H
其中R2为C8-C14直链烷基的混合物;和(b)苯甲酸盐或山梨酸盐;其中所述非离子表面活性剂与所述苯甲酸盐或山梨酸盐的重量比为1∶0.12到1∶13.7143。
本发明进一步针对一种抑制金黄色葡萄球菌于水性介质中的生长的方法,其通过添加:(a)具有以下结构的非离子表面活性剂:

其中R2为C8-C14直链烷基的混合物,其中所述非离子表面活性剂与苯甲酸盐或山梨酸盐的重量比为1∶0.5到1∶100。在一个优选实施例中,苯甲酸盐或山梨酸盐为苯甲酸盐且重量比为1∶0.5到1∶100。在另一优选实施例中,苯甲酸盐或山梨酸盐为山梨酸盐且重量比为1∶1到1∶100。优选地,组合物包含5到35重量%,优选10到30重量%苯甲酸盐或山梨酸盐。优选地,组合物包含20到90重量%,优选30到80重量%水。
本发明进一步针对一种水性组合物,其包含25到40重量%苯甲酸盐和具有以下结构的非离子表面活性剂:
R2O(CH2CH(CH3)O)3(CH2CH2O)7H
其中R2为C8-C14直链烷基的混合物,其中所述非离子表面活性剂与苯甲酸盐的重量比为1∶5到1∶100。优选地,组合物包含28到38重量%,优选30到35重量%山梨酸盐。优选地,组合物包含50到75重量%,优选55到72重量%水。
R2为C8-C14直链烷基的混合物。优选地,C8-C14直链烷基包含50到85重量%C8-C10直链烷基和15到50重量%C12-C14直链烷基,优选60到75重量%C8-C10直链烷基和25到40重量%C12-C14直链烷基,优选约70重量%C8-C10直链烷基和约30重量%C12-C14直链烷基。优选地,直链烷基源自种子油。
优选地,协同杀微生物组合物各自基本上不含除非离子表面活性剂和山梨酸盐或苯甲酸盐之外的杀微生物剂,即以活性成分的总重量计,其中除非离子表面活性剂和山梨酸盐或苯甲酸盐之外的杀微生物剂少于1重量%,优选少于0.5重量%,优选少于0.2重量%,优选少于0.1重量%。优选地,当非离子表面活性剂和山梨酸盐或苯甲酸盐添加到水性介质中时,培养基基本上不含其他杀微生物剂,即以活性成分的总重量计,其中除非离子表面活性剂和山梨酸盐或苯甲酸盐之外的杀微生物剂少于1重量%,优选少于0.5重量%,优选少于0.2重量%,优选少于0.1重量%。
本发明的组合物可含有其他成分,例如消泡剂和乳化剂。本发明的杀微生物组合物可用于通过向受到微生物攻击的水性介质中引入杀微生物有效量的组合物来抑制微生物或更高级形式的水生生物(诸如原生动物、无脊椎动物、苔藓虫、鞭毛藻、甲壳动物、软体动物等)的生长。适合水性介质存在于例如:工业处理水;电涂膜沉积系统;冷却塔;空气洗涤器;洗气器;矿浆;废水处理;观赏喷泉;逆渗透过滤;超滤;压载水;蒸发冷凝器;热交换器;纸浆和纸处理流体和添加剂;淀粉;塑料;乳液;分散液;涂料;胶乳;涂料,例如清漆;建筑产品,例如填补剂、填缝剂和密封剂;建筑粘着剂,例如陶瓷粘着剂、地毯背胶和层压粘着剂;工业或消费者粘着剂;摄影化学品;印刷流体;家居产品,例如盥洗室和厨房清洁剂;化妆品;化妆品;洗发剂;皂类;个人护理产品,例如擦拭巾、乳液、防晒霜、护发素、乳霜和其他免洗式应用;清洁剂;工业清洁剂;地板抛光剂;洗衣漂洗水;金属加工流体;传送带润滑剂;液压机液体;皮革和皮革产品;纺织物;纺织物产品;木材和木材产品,例如胶合板、木屑板、刨花板、层压梁、定向刨花板、硬质纤维板和木屑板;石油加工液;燃料;油田流体,例如注射用水、压裂液和钻井泥浆;农产品辅助防腐;表面活性剂防腐;医疗装置;诊断试剂防腐;食物防腐,例如塑料或纸食品包装;食物、饮料和工业处理巴氏消毒器;抽水马桶;再生加工用水;池;以及矿泉。
应用中抑制或控制微生物生长必需的本发明的杀微生物组合物的具体量将变化。通常,本发明组合物的量如果提供1,000到30,000ppm(百万分率)组合物的活性成分,那么其足以控制微生物生长。优选的是,组合物的活性成分(即非离子表面活性剂和山梨酸盐或苯甲酸盐)以至少2,000ppm,优选至少3,000ppm,优选至少4,000ppm,优选至少6,000ppm,优选至少8,000ppm的量存在于待处理介质中。优选的是,组合物的活性成分以不超过25,000ppm,优选不超过20,000ppm,优选不超过15,000ppm,优选不超过10,000ppm,优选不超过8,000ppm的量存在于所在场所。在本发明的方法中,通过共同或分别添加将产生上文指示的浓度的量的非离子表面活性剂和山梨酸盐或苯甲酸盐来处理组合物,从而抑制微生物生长。
实例
通过测定组合的协同作用指数(S.I.)来评估表面活性剂和杀生物剂的协同作用。基于单独和组合的两种抗微生物化合物(A和B)的最小抑制浓度(MIC)来计算协同作用指数。测试生物是革兰氏阴性细菌(绿脓杆菌(Pseudomonas aeruginosa)ATCC#15442)、革兰氏阳性细菌(金黄色葡萄球菌(Staphylococcus aureus)ATCC#6538)、酵母(白色念珠菌(Candida albicans)ATCC#10203)和霉菌(黑曲霉(Aspergillus niger)ATCC#16404)。细菌的接触时间为24和48小时,酵母为48和72小时,并且霉菌为3和7天。在96孔微量滴定板中进行测试。

证明MIC组合的协同作用的测试结果显示于下表中。各表显示针对用培育时间测试的微生物的两种组分的组合的结果;通过MIC测量的单独化合物A(CA)、单独组分B(CB)和混合物(Ca)和(Cb)的以ppm为单位的终点活性;SI计算值;以及所测试的各组合的协同比率的范围。SI如下计算:

当Ca/CA和Cb/CB的总和大于1时,指示拮抗。当总和等于1时,指示加合,且当小于1时,证实协同作用。

稳定性测试
制备苯甲酸钠或山梨酸钾于水中的溶液且用表面活性剂稀释获得所要的杀生物剂比表面活性剂的比率。根据需要添加额外水获得指定重量百分比的溶液。样品拆分成三小瓶。一个小瓶储存在室温下,一个储存在40℃下并且一个储存在50℃下。在一周后评估样品以测定稳定性。混浊或高度变色的样品判断为不稳定。在数据表中,短划线指示调配物稳定。

Claims (6)
1.一种协同杀微生物组合物,其包含:(a)具有以下结构的非离子表面活性剂:
R2O(CH2CH(CH3)O)3(CH2CH2O)5H
其中R2为C8-C14直链烷基的混合物;和(b)苯甲酸盐或山梨酸盐;其中所述非离子表面活性剂与所述苯甲酸盐或山梨酸盐的重量比为1:0.12到1:109.7646;并且,其中所述C8-C14直链烷基的混合物包含60到75重量%C8-C10直链烷基和25到40重量%C12-C14直链烷基。
2.一种用于抑制微生物在水性介质中生长的方法;所述方法包含向所述水性介质添加:(a)具有以下结构的非离子表面活性剂:
R2O(CH2CH(CH3)O)3(CH2CH2O)5H
其中R2为C8-C14直链烷基的混合物;和(b)苯甲酸盐或山梨酸盐;其中所述非离子表面活性剂与所述苯甲酸盐或山梨酸盐的重量比为1:0.12到1:109.7646;并且,其中所述C8-C14直链烷基的混合物包含60到75重量%C8-C10直链烷基和25到40重量%C12-C14直链烷基。
