Abstract

本发明提供一种采用外部补偿的AMOLED驱动电路架构,设置有独立的侦测扫描驱动模块(2)与栅极扫描驱动模块(3),并对应每一行像素单元电路(1)设置数据选择器(MUX),在一帧画面的正常显示期间所述栅极扫描驱动模块(3)通过所有数据选择器(MUX)向每一行像素单元电路(1)内开关薄膜晶体管(T1)的栅极输出正常的扫描驱动信号(G(1)~G(n)),在该帧画面的插黑时间通过侦测扫描驱动模块(2)、其中一个数据选择器(MUX)分别向对应行像素单元电路(1)内开关薄膜晶体管(T1)、侦测薄膜晶体管(T3)的栅极输出相应的侦测扫描驱动信号,能够在AMOLED面板的显示时间内,同时逐行进行TFT或有机发光二级管的侦测与补偿,而不影响画面的品质。

技术领域
本发明涉及显示技术领域,尤其涉及一种采用外部补偿的AMOLED驱动电路架构。
背景技术
有机发光二极管(Organic Light Emitting Display,OLED)显示器具有自发光、驱动电压低、发光效率高、响应时间短、清晰度与对比度高、近180°视角、使用温度范围宽,可实现柔性显示与大面积全彩显示等诸多优点,被业界公认为是最有发展潜力的显示器。
OLED显示器按照驱动方式可以分为无源矩阵型OLED(Passive Matrix OLED,PMOLED)和有源矩阵型OLED(Active Matrix OLED,AMOLED)两大类,即直接寻址和薄膜晶体管(Thin Film Transistor,TFT)矩阵寻址两类。其中,AMOLED显示器具有呈阵列式排布的像素,属于主动显示类型,发光效能高,通常用于高清晰度的大尺寸显示装置。
现有的AMOLED通常存在各个像素间的亮度不一、以及各个像素内的薄膜晶体管与有机发光二极管的老化不均的问题,需要采取补偿措施。图1所示为现有的采用外部补偿的AMOLED驱动电路架构的示意图,包括呈矩阵式排列的多个像素单元电路10,电性连接每一列素单元电路10的源极驱动模块40和侦测模块50、及电性连接每一行像素单元电路10的栅极扫描驱动模块30和侦测扫描驱动模块20。所述栅极扫描驱动模块30和侦测扫描驱动模块20相互独立,所述侦测扫描驱动模块20包括级联的与像素单元电路行数对等数目的多个第一移位寄存单元,所述栅极扫描驱动模块30包括级联的与像素单元电路行数对等数目的多个第二移位寄存单元。
结合图1与图2,每一像素单元电路10包括第一薄膜晶体管T10、第二薄膜晶体管T20、第三薄膜晶体管T30、和有机发光二极管D1。所述第一薄膜晶体管T10的栅极接入栅极扫描驱动模块30提供的对应像素单元电路所在行数的栅极扫描信号G(n),源极接入源极驱动模块40提供的对应像素单元电路所处列数的数据信号Vdata;所述第二薄膜晶体管T20的栅极与第一薄膜晶体管T10的漏极电性连接,漏极电性连接电源高电位ELVDD;所述第三薄膜晶体管T30的栅极接入侦测扫描驱动模块20提供的对应像素单元电路所在行数的侦测扫描驱动信号G(n)S,源极与第二薄膜晶体管T20的源极电性连接,漏极通过对应像素单元电路所在列数的走线连接到侦测模块50;有机发光二极管D1的阳极与第二薄膜晶体管T20的源极电性连接,阴极连接电源低电位ELVSS。
上述现有的采用外部补偿的AMOLED驱动电路架构,每一行像素单元电路10的第一薄膜晶体管T10与第三薄膜晶体管T30分别由栅极扫描驱动模块30和侦测扫描驱动模块20来控制,如果要在正常的显示画面下进行TFT或OLED的侦测,通常会在每帧画面的插黑(V-blanking)时间来进行,以避免影响正常画面的显示,但在V-blanking时间内,由于栅极扫描驱动模块30和侦测扫描驱动模块20分别输出的栅极扫描驱动信号和侦测扫描驱动信号都是从第一级开始逐级向下传递的,因此栅极扫描驱动模块30和侦测扫描驱动模块20不能直接指定要开启哪一行像素单元电路。例如,要对最后一行像素单元电路进行侦测,必须要等栅极扫描驱动模块30和侦测扫描驱动模块20分别输出的栅极扫描驱动信号和侦测扫描驱动信号都传到最后一行像素单元电路时才能开始进行侦测。如图2所示,所述侦测模块50内对应每一像素单元电路10的侦测电路通常为一积分器70,信号进行积分及数据处理需要的时间较长,由于V-blanking的时间有限,因此无法在这样短的时间内完成如上所述的侦测过程。
发明内容
本发明的目的在于提供一种采用外部补偿的AMOLED驱动电路架构,能够在AMOLED面板的显示时间内,同时逐行进行TFT或有机发光二级管的侦测与补偿,而不影响画面的品质。
为实现上述目的,本发明提供一种采用外部补偿的AMOLED驱动电路架构,包括:呈矩阵式排列的多个像素单元电路、侦测扫描驱动模块、栅极扫描驱动模块、电性连接每一列像素单元电路的源极驱动模块、电性连接每一列像素单元电路的侦测模块、及对应每一行像素单元电路设置的数据选择器;
所述像素单元包括开关薄膜晶体管、驱动薄膜晶体管、侦测薄膜晶体管、及有机发光二极管;
所述侦测扫描驱动模块包括级联的与像素单元电路行数对等数目的多个第一移位寄存单元,设n为正整数,第n个第一移位寄存单元通过第n条侦测扫描线对应电性连接第n行像素单元电路内的侦测薄膜晶体管的栅极,为该第n行像素单元电路提供侦测扫描驱动信号;
所述栅极扫描驱动模块包括级联的与像素单元电路行数对等数目的多个第二移位寄存单元,第n个第二移位寄存单元电性连接第n个数据选择器的第一输入端,向所述第一输入端输入对应第n行像素单元电路的栅极扫描驱动信号;
第n个数据选择器的第二输入端输入由所述侦测扫描驱动模块内的第n个第一移位寄存单元提供的侦测扫描驱动信号,输出端通过第n条栅极扫描线电性连接第n行像素单元电路内的开关薄膜晶体管的栅极;
所述侦测扫描驱动信号的时序不同于栅极扫描驱动信号的时序。
设m为正整数,在第m帧画面的正常显示时间内,所述栅极扫描驱动模块内的多个第二移位寄存单元以高电位脉冲形式正常逐级输出各行像素单元电路的栅极扫描驱动信号,所述侦测扫描驱动信号为低电位,每一数据选择器的输出端选通其第一输入端,相应向栅极扫描线)输出栅极扫描驱动信号;在第m帧画面的插黑时间内,所述侦测扫描驱动模块内的第m个第一移位寄存单元以高电位脉冲形式输出第m条侦测扫描驱动信号,栅极扫描驱动信号为低电位,第m个数据选择器的输出端选通其第二输入端,相应向第m条栅极扫描线输出第m条侦测扫描驱动信号,从而对第m行的像素单元电路内的驱动薄膜晶体管与有机发光二极管进行侦测。
所述侦测扫描驱动信号在每一帧画面的插黑时间才向其下一级传递。
在第m+1帧画面的插黑时间内,所述侦测扫描驱动模块内的第m+1个第一移位寄存单元以高电位脉冲形式输出第m+1条侦测扫描驱动信号,栅极扫描驱动信号为低电位,第m+1个数据选择器的输出端选通其第二输入端,相应向第m+1条栅极扫描线输出第m+1条侦测扫描驱动信号,从而对第m+1行的像素单元电路内的驱动薄膜晶体管与有机发光二极管进行侦测。
所述开关薄膜晶体管的源极接入源极驱动模块提供的对应像素单元电路所处列数的数据信号;所述驱动薄膜晶体管的栅极与开关薄膜晶体管的漏极电性连接,漏极连接电源高电位;所述侦测薄膜晶体管的源极与驱动薄膜晶体管的源极电性连接,漏极通过对应像素单元电路所在列数的走线连接到侦测模块;有机发光二极管的阳极与驱动薄膜晶体管的源极电性连接,阴极连接电源低电位。
所述侦测模块内对应每一像素单元电路的侦测电路为由运算放大器和一电容构成的积分器,所述运算放大器的负输入端连接相应像素单元电路内侦测薄膜晶体管的漏极、正输入端接入共模电压,所述电容的一端连接运算放大器的负输入端、另一端连接运算放大器的输出端。
在第m帧画面的正常显示时间内,每一数据选择器的控制端均输入逻辑信号0,控制每一数据选择器的输出端选通其第一输入端。
在第m帧画面的插黑时间内,第m个数据选择器的控制端输入逻辑信号1,控制该第m个数据选择器的输出端选通其第二输入端。
本发明的有益效果:本发明提供的一种采用外部补偿的AMOLED驱动电路架构,设置有独立的侦测扫描驱动模块与栅极扫描驱动模块,并对应每一行像素单元电路设置数据选择器,在一帧画面的正常显示期间所述栅极扫描驱动模块通过所有数据选择器向每一行像素单元电路内开关薄膜晶体管的栅极输出正常的扫描驱动信号,在该帧画面的插黑时间通过侦测扫描驱动模块、其中一个数据选择器分别向对应行像素单元电路内开关薄膜晶体管、侦测薄膜晶体管的栅极输出相应的侦测扫描驱动信号,能够在AMOLED面板的显示时间内,同时逐行进行TFT或有机发光二级管的侦测与补偿,而不影响画面的品质。

具体实施方式
为更进一步阐述本发明所采取的技术手段及其效果,以下结合本发明的优选实施例及其附图进行详细描述。
请同时参阅图3至图7,本发明提供一种采用外部补偿的AMOLED驱动电路架构,包括:呈矩阵式排列的多个像素单元电路1、侦测扫描驱动模块2、栅极扫描驱动模块3、电性连接每一列像素单元电路1的源极驱动模块4、电性连接每一列像素单元电路1的侦测模块5、及对应每一行像素单元电路1设置的数据选择器MUX。
如图3所示,所述像素单元1包括开关薄膜晶体管T1、驱动薄膜晶体管T2、侦测薄膜晶体管T3、及有机发光二极管D。
所述侦测扫描驱动模块2包括级联的与像素单元电路1行数对等数目的多个第一移位寄存单元,设n为正整数,第n个第一移位寄存单元通过第n条侦测扫描线L(n)S对应电性连接第n行像素单元电路1内的侦测薄膜晶体管T3的栅极,为该第n行像素单元电路1提供侦测扫描驱动信号G(n)S。
所述栅极扫描驱动模块3包括级联的与像素单元电路1行数对等数目的多个第二移位寄存单元,第n个第二移位寄存单元电性连接第n个数据选择器MUX的第一输入端,向所述第一输入端输入对应第n行像素单元电路1的栅极扫描驱动信号G(n)。
第n个数据选择器MUX的第二输入端输入由所述侦测扫描驱动模块2内的第n个第一移位寄存单元提供的侦测扫描驱动信号G(n)S,输出端通过第n条栅极扫描线L(n)电性连接第n行像素单元电路1内的开关薄膜晶体管T1的栅极。
进一步地,结合图3与图4,所述开关薄膜晶体管T1的源极接入源极驱动模块4提供的对应像素单元电路1所处列数的数据信号Vdata;所述驱动薄膜晶体管T2的栅极与开关薄膜晶体管T1的漏极电性连接,漏极连接电源高电位ELVDD;所述侦测薄膜晶体管T3的源极与驱动薄膜晶体管T2的源极电性连接,漏极通过对应像素单元电路1所在列数的走线连接到侦测模块5;有机发光二极管D的阳极与驱动薄膜晶体管T2的源极电性连接,阴极连接电源低电位ELVSS。
所述侦测模块5内对应每一像素单元电路1的侦测电路为由运算放大器A和一电容C构成的积分器7,所述运算放大器A的负输入端连接相应像素单元电路1内侦测薄膜晶体管T3的漏极、正输入端接入共模电压VCM,所述电容C的一端连接运算放大器A的负输入端、另一端连接运算放大器A的输出端。
需要重点说明的是,结合图3与图5,所述侦测扫描驱动模块2与栅极扫描驱动模块3相互独立,所述侦测扫描驱动信号的时序不同于栅极扫描驱动信号的时序。每帧画面的显示分为正常显示时间与插黑时间。具体地,设m为正整数,在第m帧画面的正常显示时间内,所述栅极扫描驱动模块3内的多个第二移位寄存单元以高电位脉冲形式正常逐级输出各行像素单元电路1的栅极扫描驱动信号G(1)~G(n),所述侦测扫描驱动信号G(1)S~G(n)S为低电位,结合图6所示,每一数据选择器MUX的输出端选通其第一输入端,相应向栅极扫描线L(1)~L(n)输出栅极扫描驱动信号G(1)~G(n),使得各行像素单元电路1内的驱动薄膜晶体管T2导通,侦测薄膜晶体管T3截止,逐行进行正常显示;在第m帧画面的插黑时间内,所述侦测扫描驱动模块2内的第m个第一移位寄存单元以高电位脉冲形式输出第m条侦测扫描驱动信号G(m)S,栅极扫描驱动信号G(1)~G(n)为低电位,结合图7所示,第m个数据选择器MUX的输出端选通其第二输入端,相应向第m条栅极扫描线L(m)输出第m条侦测扫描驱动信号G(m)S,即第m条侦测扫描驱动信号G(m)S同时到达对应于第m行像素单元电路1的第m条侦测扫描线L(m)S与第m条栅极扫描线L(m),使得第m行像素单元电路1内的驱动薄膜晶体管T2与侦测薄膜晶体管T3均导通,从而对第m行的像素单元电路1内的驱动薄膜晶体管T2与有机发光二极管D进行侦测。进一步地,在第m帧画面的正常显示时间内,每一数据选择器MUX的控制端均输入逻辑信号0,控制每一数据选择器MUX的输出端选通其第一输入端;在第m帧画面的插黑时间内,第m个数据选择器MUX的控制端输入逻辑信号1,控制该第m个数据选择器MUX的输出端选通其第二输入端。
所述侦测扫描驱动信号在每一帧画面的插黑时间才向其下一级传递。
在接下来的第m+1帧画面的插黑时间内,所述侦测扫描驱动模块2内的第m+1个第一移位寄存单元以高电位脉冲形式输出第m+1条侦测扫描驱动信号G(m+1)S,栅极扫描驱动信号G(1)~G(n)为低电位,第m+1个数据选择器MUX的输出端选通其第二输入端,相应向第m+1条栅极扫描线L(m+1)输出第m+1条侦测扫描驱动信号G(m+1)S,即第m+1条侦测扫描驱动信号G(m+1)S同时到达对应于第m+1行像素单元电路1的第m+1条侦测扫描线L(m+1)S与第m+1条栅极扫描线L(m+1),使得第m+1行像素单元电路1内的驱动薄膜晶体管T2与侦测薄膜晶体管T3均导通,从而对第m+1行的像素单元电路1内的驱动薄膜晶体管T2与有机发光二极管D进行侦测。
例如,在第1帧画面的正常显示时间,每一数据选择器MUX的输出端选通其第一输入端,相应向栅极扫描线L(1)~L(n)输出栅极扫描驱动信号G(1)~G(n),使得各行像素单元电路1内的驱动薄膜晶体管T2导通,侦测薄膜晶体管T3截止,逐行进行正常显示;在第1帧画面的插黑时间内,所述侦测扫描驱动模块2内的第1个第一移位寄存单元以高电位脉冲形式输出第1条侦测扫描驱动信号G(1)S,栅极扫描驱动信号G(1)~G(n)为低电位,第1个数据选择器MUX的输出端选通其第二输入端,相应向第1条栅极扫描线L(1)输出第1条侦测扫描驱动信号G(1)S,即第1条侦测扫描驱动信号G(1)S同时到达对应于第1行像素单元电路1的第1条侦测扫描线L(1)S与第1条栅极扫描线L(1),使得第1行像素单元电路1内的驱动薄膜晶体管T2与侦测薄膜晶体管T3均导通,从而对第1行的像素单元电路1内的驱动薄膜晶体管T2与有机发光二极管D进行侦测。
在接下来的第2帧画面的插黑时间内,所述侦测扫描驱动模块2内的第2个第一移位寄存单元以高电位脉冲形式输出第2条侦测扫描驱动信号G(2)S,栅极扫描驱动信号G(1)~G(n)为低电位,第2个数据选择器MUX的输出端选通其第二输入端,相应向第2条栅极扫描线L(2)输出第2条侦测扫描驱动信号G(2)S,即第2条侦测扫描驱动信号G(2)S同时到达对应于第2行像素单元电路1的第2条侦测扫描线L(2)S与第2条栅极扫描线L(2),使得第2行像素单元电路1内的驱动薄膜晶体管T2与侦测薄膜晶体管T3均导通,从而对第2行的像素单元电路1内的驱动薄膜晶体管T2与有机发光二极管D进行侦测。
值得一提的是,所述侦测扫描驱动模块2、栅极扫描驱动模块3、与多个数据选择器MUX可集成在同一个IC之中。
综上所述,本发明的采用外部补偿的AMOLED驱动电路架构,设置有独立的侦测扫描驱动模块与栅极扫描驱动模块,并对应每一行像素单元电路设置数据选择器,在一帧画面的正常显示期间所述栅极扫描驱动模块通过所有数据选择器向每一行像素单元电路内开关薄膜晶体管的栅极输出正常的扫描驱动信号,在该帧画面的插黑时间通过侦测扫描驱动模块、其中一个数据选择器分别向对应行像素单元电路内开关薄膜晶体管、侦测薄膜晶体管的栅极输出相应的侦测扫描驱动信号,能够在AMOLED面板的显示时间内,同时逐行进行TFT或有机发光二级管的侦测与补偿,而不影响画面的品质。
以上所述,对于本领域的普通技术人员来说,可以根据本发明的技术方案和技术构思作出其他各种相应的改变和变形,而所有这些改变和变形都应属于本发明权利要求的保护范围。

Claims (8)

1.一种采用外部补偿的AMOLED驱动电路架构,其特征在于,包括:呈矩阵式排列的多个像素单元电路(1)、侦测扫描驱动模块(2)、栅极扫描驱动模块(3)、电性连接每一列像素单元电路(1)的源极驱动模块(4)、电性连接每一列像素单元电路(1)的侦测模块(5)及对应每一行像素单元电路(1)设置的数据选择器(MUX);
所述像素单元电路(1)包括开关薄膜晶体管(T1)、驱动薄膜晶体管(T2)、侦测薄膜晶体管(T3)及有机发光二极管(D);
所述侦测扫描驱动模块(2)包括级联的与像素单元电路(1)行数对等数目的多个第一移位寄存单元,设n为正整数,第n个第一移位寄存单元通过第n条侦测扫描线(L(n)S)对应电性连接第n行像素单元电路(1)内的侦测薄膜晶体管(T3)的栅极,为该第n行像素单元电路(1)提供侦测扫描驱动信号(G(n)S);
所述栅极扫描驱动模块(3)包括级联的与像素单元电路(1)行数对等数目的多个第二移位寄存单元,第n个第二移位寄存单元电性连接第n个数据选择器(MUX)的第一输入端,向所述第一输入端输入对应第n行像素单元电路(1)的栅极扫描驱动信号(G(n));
第n个数据选择器(MUX)的第二输入端输入由所述侦测扫描驱动模块(2)内的第n个第一移位寄存单元提供的侦测扫描驱动信号(G(n)S),输出端通过第n条栅极扫描线(L(n))电性连接第n行像素单元电路(1)内的开关薄膜晶体管(T1)的栅极;
所述侦测扫描驱动信号的时序不同于栅极扫描驱动信号的时序。
2.如权利要求1所述的采用外部补偿的AMOLED驱动电路架构,其特征在于,设m为正整数,在第m帧画面的正常显示时间内,所述栅极扫描驱动模块(3)内的多个第二移位寄存单元以高电位脉冲形式正常逐级输出各行像素单元电路(1)的栅极扫描驱动信号(G(1)~G(n)),所述侦测扫描驱动信号(G(1)S~G(n)S)为低电位,每一数据选择器(MUX)的输出端选通其第一输入端,相应向栅极扫描线(L(1)~L(n))输出栅极扫描驱动信号(G(1)~G(n));在第m帧画面的插黑时间内,所述侦测扫描驱动模块(2)内的第m个第一移位寄存单元以高电位脉冲形式输出第m条侦测扫描驱动信号(G(m)S),栅极扫描驱动信号(G(1)~G(n))为低电位,第m个数据选择器(MUX)的输出端选通其第二输入端,相应向第m条栅极扫描线(L(m))输出第m条侦测扫描驱动信号(G(m)S),从而对第m行的像素单元电路(1)内的驱动薄膜晶体管(T2)与有机发光二极管(D)进行侦测。
3.如权利要求2所述的采用外部补偿的AMOLED驱动电路架构,其特征在于,所述侦测扫描驱动信号在每一帧画面的插黑时间才向其下一级传递。
4.如权利要求3所述的采用外部补偿的AMOLED驱动电路架构,其特征在于,在第m+1帧画面的插黑时间内,所述侦测扫描驱动模块(2)内的第m+1个第一移位寄存单元以高电位脉冲形式输出第m+1条侦测扫描驱动信号(G(m+1)S),栅极扫描驱动信号(G(1)~G(n))为低电位,第m+1个数据选择器(MUX)的输出端选通其第二输入端,相应向第m+1条栅极扫描线(L(m+1))输出第m+1条侦测扫描驱动信号(G(m+1)S),从而对第m+1行的像素单元电路(1)内的驱动薄膜晶体管(T2)与有机发光二极管(D)进行侦测。
5.如权利要求1所述的采用外部补偿的AMOLED驱动电路架构,其特征在于,所述开关薄膜晶体管(T1)的源极接入源极驱动模块(4)提供的对应像素单元电路(1)所处列数的数据信号(Vdata);所述驱动薄膜晶体管(T2)的栅极与开关薄膜晶体管(T1)的漏极电性连接,漏极连接电源高电位(ELVDD);所述侦测薄膜晶体管(T3)的源极与驱动薄膜晶体管(T2)的源极电性连接,漏极通过对应像素单元电路(1)所在列数的走线连接到侦测模块(5);有机发光二极管(D)的阳极与驱动薄膜晶体管(T2)的源极电性连接,阴极连接电源低电位(ELVSS)。
6.如权利要求5所述的采用外部补偿的AMOLED驱动电路架构,其特征在于,所述侦测模块(5)内对应每一像素单元电路(1)的侦测电路为由运算放大器(A)和一电容(C)构成的积分器(7),所述运算放大器(A)的负输入端连接相应像素单元电路(1)内侦测薄膜晶体管(T3)的漏极、正输入端接入共模电压(VCM),所述电容(C)的一端连接运算放大器(A)的负输入端、另一端连接运算放大器(A)的输出端。
7.如权利要求2所述的采用外部补偿的AMOLED驱动电路架构,其特征在于,在第m帧画面的正常显示时间内,每一数据选择器(MUX)的控制端均输入逻辑信号0,控制每一数据选择器(MUX)的输出端选通其第一输入端。
8.如权利要求2所述的采用外部补偿的AMOLED驱动电路架构,其特征在于,在第m帧画面的插黑时间内,第m个数据选择器(MUX)的控制端输入逻辑信号1,控制该第m个数据选择器(MUX)的输出端选通其第二输入端。
