PCT申请WO 2011/067742公开了一种人力陆地车辆(诸如自行车),其由可触知回收材料构成,具有可由纸板制成的车轮。基于纸板的车轮也已经在公布US 3,492,016中公开。
发明内容
本发明提供了基本由纸板制成的车轮,其具有足够刚性来支撑负荷并且因此可用于陆地车辆(诸如自行车)。
词语“基本由纸板制成”是指指示纸板是车轮中用于支撑施加在压在地面上或其它驱动/踩踏表面的车轮的一部分上的负荷的主要结构组件。例如,基本由纸板制成的车轮可具有轮毂,其合并将要由除纸板之外的材料制成的轮轴,所述轮毂可包括衬在车轮的外表面(有时是整个表面)部分用于环境保护的涂料层(例如聚合物膜层、漆等)。
通常,但不排他,本发明的车轮在其轮辋上装配有轮胎或弹性地面承载材料。在下文中,术语“轮胎”将用于统称装配在轮辋周围的弹性地面承载元件。轮胎可以是例如弹性材料的固体块、可充气、可以是装配在轮辋上的弹性带等。如轮胎行业中所公知,轮胎有时可能还包括加强金属或非金属纤维或糊状物、可具有踩踏图案等。
根据本发明,已经认识到,具有至少一层高密度纸板(在下文中,有时是“HDC”)和夹持HDC层的至少两层低密度纸板(在下文中,有时是“LDC”)的多层纸板结构形成坚固的相对较轻结构,其具有显著抗压缩性以及抗扭转和弯曲性。具有绕中心轮毂布置的圆形圆周的这种结构允许其被用作具有足够刚性的自行车或其它陆地车辆的车轮,在自行车的情况下,所述刚性足以承载骑手的重量负荷。
当然,这种车轮的负荷承载能力和服务寿命一方面与用于形成这种层的HDC和LDC的类型相关。。这会是将不需要过多实验的相对常规任务,以找出特定用途的HDC和LDC的最佳组合(在重量和刚度的方面)。例如,用于儿童自行车的车轮可由更薄的HDC层或密度小于成人用自行车的LDC层构成。
术语“抗性”在使用车轮的上下文中应被理解且旨在指示在常规使用和在骑行/行驶期间遇到的应力期间,车轮保持其完整性以及其大致平面和圆形的结构。
术语“高密度纸板”或“HDC”旨在指示其中纸板被包装为没有可见空隙或含气体的口袋的纸板片。高密度纸板片通常具有400g/m2至600g/m2范围内的面密度。特定实施例是具有500g/m2至600g/m2范围内的密度的重型纸板。根据本发明使用的HDC可具有0.5mm至3mm(通常是1mm至1.5mm)范围的厚度。
术语“低密度纸板”或“LDC”指纸板片,其具有限定多个单元或空隙的内部结构(例如由在其间限定多个空隙的瓦楞、槽纹或以其它方式松散堆积的纸片或带形成),并包括衬在低密度层的一侧或两侧(即将低密度层夹持在其间)的一个或多个衬垫纸板片。这种纸板的实施例是已知的“瓦楞纸板”,其由槽纹或瓦楞纸板或带和槽纹或瓦楞纸的一侧或两侧(即夹持)上的一个或两个平面衬垫板组成;并且也可以称为“蜂窝纸板”。瓦楞或蜂窝纸板片可以是单壁或多壁的纸板片。这些术语也指涵盖不同强度的纸板,从单个厚度的纸板的简单布置到特征在于多个瓦楞、蜂窝和其它层的复杂构造。
LDC通常是蜂窝或瓦楞纸板,其厚度在8mm到20mm的范围内(通常在8mm到15mm,甚至在8mm至12mm的范围内)。
因此,本发明提供了一种车轮,其包括大致平面的多层纸板主体,其限定在两个侧面之间,且具有圆形圆周和限定其中心轴的轮毂。所述层平行于两个侧面布置。所述层包括至少一层HDC和夹持HDC层的至少两层LDC。至少两个LDC层和至少一个HDC层彼此固定地附接。固定附接通常通过胶合进行。
通过一个实施方案,车轮包括车轮中线处的单个HDC,其中两个LDC层夹持该单个高密度纸板层。通常,这样实施方案的车轮将具有绕HDC层的轴对称性。然而,根据本发明的一般教导,也可设想其它实施方案。通过实施例的方式,可存在交替的高和低密度纸板层,例如以下的层布置:一个具有多个交替的LDC-HDC层(例如:LDC-HDC-LDC-HDC-LDC;或HDC-LDC-HDC-LDC-HDC);或其中附加的各自HDC或LDC的层处于这些结构中的每个侧面的相同层结构等。通过其它实施例,中线处的HDC层可由彼此固定地附接的两个或多个HDC片构成,从而形成较厚的HDC中线层;或一个或多个LDC层可由两个或多个LDC片形成。
通过一个实施方案,车轮包括绕所述主体的圆周装配的一个或多个柔韧带,事实上,所述带限定了纸板主体的外周。这种带通常可由纸板或纸制成,但也可以使用其它材料(诸如塑料、橡胶或其它聚合物材料)。
特别是当其由纸板制成的时,这样的带通常包括被折叠并附接到车轮的侧面的横向翻板,从而将带固定在适当位置并对结构提供进一步的加强。
通过一个实施方案,车轮的主体是从轮毂到圆周延伸的连续块。通过另一个实施方案,所述主体由限定臂的切口图案化,其中侧面和内面在轮毂和周向车轮部分之间径向延伸。这样的内面可覆盖有柔韧片(例如纸板或纸)。这样图案的车轮构造也限定周向车轮部分的内面,通过一个实施方案,所述内面也覆盖有柔韧片(例如纸板或纸)。
如上面提到的,车轮通常装配有轮胎。
对于环境抗性,特别是耐水性,车轮的外面可例如由防水材料浸渍或由这样的材料涂覆。实施例是树脂(诸如漆或环氧树脂、聚合物片材、其组合等)。

具体实施方式
首先参照图1,示出车轮,其具有大致平面的构造并且具有带两个侧面104和106的纸板主体102。如车轮结构中固有的,其具有圆形圆周和限定车轮的中心轴的轮毂108。如图4中可见且如将在下面进一步阐述,纸板主体具有层状结构,这些层平行于两个侧面布置。
虽然轮毂可由其它材料(诸如塑料、木材、金属)制成,但是图1的车轮基本由纸板制成、可包括球轴承等。轮毂可通过以下方式合并到车轮中:在主体102中形成圆形切口并将轮毂元件108装配到其中,从而例如通过胶合将其紧紧地附接到主体。

如图1中还可见,主体102的圆周装配有柔韧带112(通常由纸板、纸或聚合物膜制成),其具有被折叠到侧面104和106的翻板114,以将带固定在适当位置。该带尤其密封层状结构中以其它方式暴露的外周。
通常,车轮将由环境保护层(例如聚合树脂、聚合物层、环氧树脂、漆、涂料等)覆盖。
图3中可见图2的车轮的分解图,其示出四个基本构成元件,为轮毂108、主体102、带112和轮胎110。
图4A示出图2的车轮的横截面。如可见,这些层包括限定中线118的内HDC层116。HDC层116由两个LDC层120和122(围绕其对称地布置)夹持。HDC通常由具有0.5mm至3mm(通常是约1mm至1.5mm)范围内的厚度的高密度纸板或蜂窝纸板制成;而LDC层通常是瓦楞纸板或蜂窝纸板,其具有8mm至20mm范围内(通常是约12mm)的厚度。

图4B中可见用于车轮的纸板主体的另一实施方案。在本实施方案中,两个附加的HDC层124和126夹持两个LDC层。然而,应注意,示于图4A和图4B中的两个实施方案只是实施例,且其它不同的实施方案(例如上面发明概要中所述)可根据本发明使用。
根据另一实施方案的车轮示于图5中。图5的车轮基于图1的车轮并且通过切口130图案化,所述切口共同限定通过径向臂136链接到外周部分134的放大的轮毂部分132。臂136的内面138、外周部分134的内面140以及轮毂部分132的内面142通常衬有在构造上可与带112的衬垫层相同的衬垫层。
如图6中可见,臂136由层144包围。然而,在其它实施方案中,这种柔韧材料的带可例如以与带112的情况类似的方式通过部署例如翻板来将带固定在合适位置而仅装配在内侧面上,而不是包围整个臂。
Claims (19)
1.一种车轮,包括:
大致平面的多层纸板主体,该多层纸板主体具有两个侧面、圆形圆周以及限定出中心轴的轮毂,所述多层平行于所述两个侧面布置;
所述多层包括夹在至少两个低密度纸板片层之间的至少一个高密度纸板片层,所述至少两个低密度纸板片层中的每一个均包括装配在所述低密度纸板片层的相对两侧上的两个衬垫纸板层;
所述至少两个低密度纸板片层和所述至少一个高密度纸板片层彼此固定地附接。
2.根据权利要求1所述的车轮,其中,在所述车轮的中线上设置有高密度纸板片层。
3.根据权利要求1所述的车轮,其中,在所述车轮的中线上设置有高密度纸板片层,并且所述车轮具有关于所述高密度纸板片层的轴向对称性。
