Description
本發明涉及一種用於自行車及其他陸地車輛的車輪。
PCT申請案第WO 2011/067742號揭示一種人力陸地車輛(諸如自行車),其由可觸知回收材料構成,具有可由紙板製成的車輪。基於紙板之車輪亦已在公開案第US 3,492,016號中揭示。
本發明提供一種基本由紙板製成的車輪,其具有足夠剛性以支撐負荷並且因此可用於陸地車輛(諸如自行車)。
詞語「基本由紙板製成」是指指示紙板係車輪中用於支撐施加在壓在地面上或其他驅動/踩踏表面之車輪之一部分上之負荷的主要結構組件。例如,基本由紙板製成之車輪可具有輪轂,其併入將由除紙板之外之材料製成的輪軸,該輪轂可包括襯在車輪之外表面(有時為整個表面)部分用於環境保護的塗料層(例如聚合物膜層、漆等)。
通常,但不排他,本發明之車輪在其輪輞上裝配有輪胎或彈性地面承載材料。在下文中,術語「輪胎」將用於統稱裝配在輪輞周圍的彈性地面承載元件。輪胎可為例如彈性材料的固體塊、可充氣、可為裝配在輪輞上的彈性帶等。如輪胎行業中所悉知,輪胎有時亦可包括加強金屬或非金屬纖維或糊狀物、可具有踩踏圖案等。
根據本發明,已經認識到,具有至少一層高密度紙板(在下文中,有時為「HDC」)及夾持HDC層之至少兩層低密度紙板(在下文中,有時為「LDC」)的多層紙板結構形成堅固的相對較輕結構,其具有顯著抗壓縮性以及抗扭轉及彎曲性。具有繞中心輪轂佈置之圓形圓周的此一結構允許其用作具有足夠剛性的自行車或其他陸地車輛的車輪,在自行車
的情況下,剛性足以承載騎手的重量負荷。
當然,此一車輪之負荷承載能力及服務壽命一方面與用於形成此類層之HDC及LDC的類型相關。此將為不需要過多實驗之相對常規任務,以找出特定用途之HDC及LDC之最佳組合(在重量及剛度方面)。例如,用於兒童自行車之車輪可由更薄HDC層或密度小於成人用自行車的LDC層構成。
術語「抗性」在使用車輪的上下文中應被理解且旨在指示在常規使用及在騎行/行駛期間遇到的應力期間,車輪保持其完整性以及其大致平面及圓形的結構。
術語「高密度紙板」或「HDC」旨在指示其中紙板被封裝為無可見空隙或含氣體之口袋的紙板片。高密度紙板片通常具有400g/m2至600g/m2範圍內的面密度。特定實例為具有500g/m2至600g/m2範圍內之密度的重型紙板。根據本發明使用之HDC可具有0.5mm至3mm(通常為1mm至1.5mm)範圍的厚度。
術語「低密度紙板」或「LDC」指紙板片,其具有界定複數個單元或空隙的內部結構(例如由在其間界定複數個空隙之瓦楞、槽紋或以其他方式鬆散堆積的紙片或帶形成),並包括襯在低密度層之一側或兩側(即將低密度層夾持在其間)的一或多個襯墊紙板片。此紙板之實例為已知的「瓦楞紙板」,其由槽紋或瓦楞紙板或帶及槽紋或瓦楞紙的一側或兩側(即夾持)上之一個或兩個平面襯墊板組成;並且亦可稱為「蜂巢紙板」。瓦楞或蜂巢紙板片可為單壁或多壁的紙板片。此等術語亦指涵蓋不同強度的紙板,從單個厚度之紙板的簡單佈置到特徵在於多個瓦楞、蜂巢及其他層的複雜組態。
LDC通常是蜂巢或瓦楞紙板,其厚度在8mm到20mm的範圍內(通常在8mm到15mm,甚至在8mm至12mm的範圍內)。
因此,本發明提供一種車輪,其包括大致平面的多層紙板主體,其界定在兩個側面之間,且具有圓形圓周及界定其中心軸的輪轂。該等層平行於兩個側面佈置。該等層包括至少一層HDC及夾持HDC層的至少兩層LDC。至少兩個LDC層及至少一個HDC層彼此固定地附接。固

藉由一個實施例,車輪包括車輪中線處的單個HDC,其中兩個LDC層夾持該單個高密度紙板層。通常,此實施例的車輪將具有繞HDC層的軸對稱性。然而,根據本發明的一般教示,亦可設想其他實施例。藉由實例的方式,可存在交替之高及低密度紙板層,例如以下的層佈置:一個具有複數個交替LDC-HDC層(例如:LDC-HDC-LDC-HDC-LDC;或HDC-LDC-HDC-LDC-HDC);或其中附加、各自HDC或LDC之層處於此等結構中之各個側面的相同層結構等。藉由其他實例,中線處之HDC層可由彼此固定地附接的兩個或多個HDC片構成,從而形成較厚的HDC中線層;或一或多個LDC層可由兩個或多個LDC片形成。

首先參照圖1,展示車輪,其具有大致平面的組態並且具有帶兩個側面104及106的紙板主體102。如車輪結構中固有的,其具有圓形圓周及界定車輪之中心軸的輪轂108。如圖4中可見且如將在下面進一步闡述,紙板主體具有層狀結構,此等層平行於兩個側面佈置。
雖然輪轂可由其他材料(諸如塑膠、木材、金屬)製成,但是圖1之車輪基本由紙板製成、可包括球軸承等。輪轂可藉由以下方式併入到車輪中:在主體102中形成圓形切口並將輪轂元件108裝配到其中,從而例如藉由膠合將其緊緊地附接到主體。
如圖2中可見,車輪通常裝配有由橡膠或其他彈性體製成的輪胎110。在圖2中所見之實施例中,輪胎為固體彈性塊,但是根據其他實施例,輪胎可為發泡塊、可充氣、可為增強橡膠的,或者可具有多種其他結構。
如圖1中亦可見,主體102之圓周裝配有柔韌帶112(通常由紙板、紙或聚合物膜製成),其具有被折疊到側面104及106的翻板114,以將帶固定在適當位置。該帶尤其密封層狀結構中以其他方式暴露的外周。
通常,車輪將由環境保護層(例如聚合樹脂、聚合物層、環氧樹脂、漆、塗料等)覆蓋。
圖3中可見圖2之車輪的分解圖,其展示四個基本構成元件,為輪轂108、主體102、帶112及輪胎110。
圖4A展示圖2之車輪的橫截面。如可見,該等層包括界定
中線118之內HDC層116。HDC層116由兩個LDC層120及122(圍繞其對稱地佈置)夾持。HDC通常由具有0.5mm至3mm(通常為約1mm至1.5mm)範圍內之厚度的高密度紙板或蜂巢紙板製成;而LDC層通常為瓦楞紙板或蜂巢紙板,其具有8mm至20mm範圍內(通常為約12mm)的厚度。
如圖4A中亦可見,車輪之圓周周圍的柔韌帶112覆蓋有輪胎110。
圖4B中可見用於車輪之紙板主體的另一實施例。在本實施例中,兩個附加的HDC層124及126夾持兩個LDC層。然而,應注意,示於圖4A及圖4B中之兩個實施例僅為實例,且其他不同的實施例(例如上面發明概要中所述)可根據本發明使用。
根據另一實施例之車輪示於圖5中。圖5之車輪基於圖1的車輪並且藉由切口130圖案化,該等切口共同界定經由徑向臂136連結到外周部分134的放大輪轂部分132。臂136之內面138、外周部分134之內面140以及輪轂部分132之內面142通常襯有在構造上可與帶112之襯墊層相同的襯墊層。
如圖6中可見,臂136由層144包圍。然而,在其他實施例中,此柔韌材料之帶可例如以與帶112之情況類似的方式藉由部署例如翻板以將帶固定在合適位置而僅裝配在內側面上,而非包圍整個臂。

Claims (16)
- 一種車輪,其包括:一大致平面的多層紙板主體,其具有兩個側面、一圓形圓周及界定一中心軸之一輪轂,該等層平行於該兩個側面佈置;該多層紙板主體包括夾在至少兩層低密度紙板片之間之至少一層高密度紙板片,該至少兩層低密度紙板片之各者包括裝配在一低密度紙板層之相對側上的兩個襯墊紙板片;該至少兩層低密度紙板片及該至少一層高密度紙板彼此固定地附接。
- 如申請專利範圍第1項之車輪,其中該高密度紙板層設置在該車輪之中線上。
