发现不同形式的印刷如喷墨印刷在不同基底——包括传统的纤维素纸、金属、塑料、织物等——上的各种应用。具体关于织物,由于织物的性质,存在与各种印刷技术相关的挑战。例如,一些织物可高度吸收、减小颜色特性,而一些合成织物可结晶,减小了水性油墨的吸收,导致油墨洇色。这些特性导致织物上的图像质量相对低。另外,与印刷在纤维素纸或其它介质类型上的图像相比,黑色光密度、色彩饱和度和清晰度通常差。由于印刷在织物上的图像的湿度敏感性通常高,所以形成的图像具有差的耐水色牢度和可洗性。与织物上的印刷相关的另一个问题涉及通常与处理的织物相关的柔软度的减小。消费者在保持着色剂附着性和图像的质量的同时通常优选更柔软的织物性能。此外,当织物旨在被穿戴时,或非常接近于人体使用时,同样关注使用增加织物的可燃性的涂层。因此,在提供可印刷的织物的同时,还期望阻燃特性。

发明内容

在另一个实例中,涂布组合物可包括水、5wt%至50wt%的固体重量含量的金属络合物、5wt%至50wt%的固体重量含量的有机磷酸酯和10wt%至80wt%的固体重量含量的淀粉。水与固体的重量比以重量计可从2:1至99:1,并且在一个实例中,水与固体可以5:1至98:1的重量比存在。在一个实例中,除了水,可任选地包括其它挥发性溶剂与水,以形成用于施加固体的载体流体。该涂布组合物特别适用于在织物基底上涂布,以在上面形成油墨接收层。当施加涂布组合物时,水或其它挥发物蒸发或干掉,剩余的固体形成油墨接收层。

具体地转向涂布组合物,如所述,所述组合物可包括金属络合物,例如源自具有配位共价键或配价键的金属络合物的带电的络离子。配位数定义为附接到中心金属离子的配体(一个或多个)的数目,并且通常范围从两个至九个,甚至更多个。在一些实例中,配体可为小的极性分子,例如H2O和NH3,在一些实例中,配体可为阴离子,例如Cl-、OH-和S2-。通常,与配体相关的金属络合物或带电的络离子颜色是白色的或无色的。典型的实例包括[Al(H2O)6]3+、[Al(H2O)3(OH)3]、[Al(H2O)3(OH)3]和[Al(H2O)3(OH)3]。另一个具体的实例包括十二水硫酸铝钾。可选地,金属络合物可包括两个或更多个中心原子,也称为多核络合物,当配体同时供给电子对给两个或更多个金属离子时可以形成中心原子,并且然后用作多个中心离子之间的桥。例如,在一些实例中,带电荷的络离子可为八水二氧二铝(iV)4+、Al8(OH)20 4+和[Al8(OH)10(SO4)5]4+。其它类型的不具有上述相似络合物结构的多价盐也可用于相似的积极的效果。例如,氟代硫酸铝和氯化铝也可提供可接受的印刷特征。包括这些盐或其它类似盐的一种在织物上印刷时可改善油墨的印刷质量和光密度。
在涂布组合物中或织物基底上可存在的固体的金属络合物可从5wt%至50wt%,或10wt%至40wt%,虽然这些范围仅为示例性,但是不旨在限制。
本公开的涂布组合物还可包括有机磷酸酯。有机磷酸酯可为具有四个氧原子附接到中心亚磷的有机膦酸酯;具有3个氧原子附接到中心亚磷的脂肪族、芳香族或聚合物有机磷酸酯;或具有2个氧原子附接到中心亚磷原子的有机亚膦酸酯(organophosphinate)。下面的式II为有机膦酸酯提供了通式,式III说明了可为脂肪族有机磷酸酯、芳香族有机磷酸酯或有机磷酸酯聚合物的有机磷酸酯;并且式IV提供了有机亚膦酸酯的公式化的实例。因此,根据本公开的实例使用的有机磷酸酯可具有如下化学通式II-IV:
其中,R1、R2和R3独立地为可不同或相同的有机或无机取代基,包括C1~C12支链或直链烷基、芳基、二磷酸酯或卤素(例如氯化或氟化的取代基)。有机磷酸酯的实例包括三(1,3-二氯代异丙基)磷酸酯、三(2-氯代异丙基)磷酸酯、三(2-氯代异丙基)磷酸酯、二甲基磷酸酯、二乙基磷酸酯、二甲基丙基磷酸酯、二乙基N,N-双(2-羟乙基)氨甲基磷酸酯、低聚的氯代烷基磷酸酯、氯代烷基磷酸酯和芳基磷酸酯等。
有机磷酸酯可以固体以5wt%至50wt%、或10wt%至40wt%存在于涂布组合物中或织物基底上,虽然这些范围可仅为示例性,并且不旨在限制。
还可注意,可单独使用或彼此组合使用全部这些有机磷酸酯,或者进一步,可与含磷的酯组合使用以提供期望的涂层特性,例如成品的粘度或改善的特性,包括织物基底的增强的阻燃性、柔韧性或柔软度。
可存在于本公开的涂布组合物中的第三种组分包括各种天然来源的淀粉,包括选自玉米淀粉(corn starch)、土豆淀粉、大米淀粉、玉蜀黍淀粉(maize starch)、木薯淀粉或小麦淀粉的一种或多种淀粉化合物。在其它实例中,淀粉可为阳离子淀粉,可提供图像质量的改善,并为其它涂布组合物的组分提供可接受的粘合特性。更具体地,阳离子淀粉可与有机磷酸酯结合,并可具有作为阻燃剂的另外的益处。可使用的阳离子淀粉的实例包括糖类的共聚物。在某些具体实例中,阳离子淀粉的正电荷的中心可通过季盐与糖的反应形成,季盐如2,3-环氧丙基三甲基氯化铵和/或(3-氯代-2-羟丙基)三甲基氯化铵,例如,其中季铵阳离子接枝到多糖链上。因此,多糖与有机磷酸酯配合可提供增强的性能,以增强阻燃性。此外,阳离子中心不仅提供与有机磷酸酯的相容性,还可提供对阴离子带电荷油墨颜料颗粒的化学结合,如果使用的印刷系统包括具有这样的颜料的油墨。这样的吸引力可提供印刷的优点,例如耐水色牢度、光密度、色域、洇色控制等的改善。
在涂布组合物中或织物基底上以固体的淀粉可以10wt%至80wt%或30wt%至75wt%存在,虽然这些范围仅为示例性,但是不旨在限制。
在关于淀粉的进一步的细节中,可注意到,可通过共聚度表征阳离子基团如季铵阳离子的数目,并且通常可为每100个糖重复单元5至20个,虽然这个范围不旨在限制。该结构特征反映化合物的电荷密度,并可使用ζ电势评估或证明。在一个实例中,ζ电势范围可为20~65mV。
可注意,典型地,在用于分散或溶解涂布组合物组分的载体中制备涂布组合物。一旦涂层施加到织物,可至少部分地从最终产物去除载体,或者当去除部分载体时,可包含剩余为固体的化合物。载体通常包括水、助溶剂、表面活性剂、粘度改进剂、无机化合物、pH控制剂、消泡剂(deformer)等的一种或多种。载体的首要功能是溶解和/或运送保持在织物上作为涂层的固体或其它组分,并且通常提供适于运送组合物中的全部组分的载体,并使它们在织物的表面上均匀地分布。此外,在一些实例中,当干燥时,可配置作为整体的涂布组合物为膜的形式,或者以其他方式提供至少部分地保持在织物的上表面上的化学和/或物理性能。对于载体组分的选择没有具体的限制,只要作为整体的载体具有上述功能。
在关于载体的进一步细节中,还可期望使用提供另外的阻燃性(或至少不添加对织物的可燃性)的组分。因此,可考虑当暴露于火时不产生炭和/或用于阻碍火转移到织物的液体载体组合物为期望的载体组分。提供一个实例,例如硅酸钠的无机化合物可用作载体的一部分。例如,组合物SiO2.Na2O可为载体组合物(以及水或其它液体组分)的一部分。在这个实例中,Na2O可以5wt%至15wt%(例如9wt%至11wt%)存在于载体中;SiO2可以20wt%至40wt%(例如30wt%至32wt%)存在于液体载体中;并且余量可为水。该液体载体可用于运送金属络合物、有机磷酸酯和淀粉,以均匀地分配这些组分到织物或纺织纤维的表面。当混合该液体载体时,可包含硅酸钠与水作为液体,并可在干燥条件下容易地固化成固体膜。
使用本领域中通常已知的轧染方法可施加所述涂布组合物到织物基底。在一个实例中,织物基底可在浴中浸泡,并且过量的可被擀出。更具体地,浸渍的织物基底(通过浴、喷雾、浸蘸等制备)可在压力下通过轧染压料辊,以提供40-60%的吸湿量(wetpicked up),虽然该范围不是限制性的。然后,压料辊压后浸渍的织物可在任何功能干燥温度和干燥时间加热干燥。
一旦所述涂布组合物施加到织物基底,并适当干燥,喷墨油墨或其它类型的油墨可通过任何数目的过程施加。在一个实例中,对于在本公开中描述的介质上印刷特别有用的是胶乳喷墨印刷技术。因此,油墨组合物可包括聚合物胶乳和着色剂。聚合物胶乳在本文中是指在水性油墨媒介中分散的聚合物微粒的稳定分散体。聚合物胶乳可为天然胶乳或合成胶乳。合成胶乳通常使用各种引发剂、表面活性剂和单体通过乳液聚合生产。在各种实例中,聚合物胶乳可为阳离子、阴离子或两性聚合物胶乳。通常用于制造合成胶乳的单体包括丙烯酸乙酯、甲基丙烯酸乙酯、丙烯酸苄酯、甲基丙烯酸苄酯、丙烯酸丙酯、甲基丙烯酸丙酯、丙烯酸异丙酯、甲基丙烯酸异丙酯、丙烯酸丁酯、甲基丙烯酸丁酯、丙烯酸己酯、甲基丙烯酸己酯、甲基丙烯酸十八烷基酯、丙烯酸十八烷基酯、甲基丙烯酸月桂酯、丙烯酸月桂酯、丙烯酸羟乙酯、甲基丙烯酸羟乙酯、丙烯酸羟己酯、甲基丙烯酸羟己酯、丙烯酸羟基十八烷基酯、甲基丙烯酸羟基十八烷基酯、甲基丙烯酸羟基月桂酯、丙烯酸羟基月桂酯、丙烯酸苯乙酯、甲基丙烯酸苯乙酯、丙烯酸6-苯基己酯、甲基丙烯酸6-苯基己酯、丙烯酸苯基月桂酯、甲基丙烯酸苯基月桂酯、3-硝基苯基-6-己基甲基丙烯酸酯、3-硝基苯基-18-十八烷基丙烯酸酯、乙二醇二环戊醚丙烯酸酯、乙烯基乙基酮、乙烯基丙基酮、乙烯基己基酮、乙烯基辛基酮、乙烯基丁基酮、丙烯酸环己酯、甲氧基硅烷、丙烯酰氧基丙基二乙基二甲氧基硅烷(acryloxypropyhiethyldimethoxysilane)、三氟甲基苯乙烯、丙烯酸三氟甲酯、甲基丙烯酸三氟甲酯、丙烯酸四氟丙酯、甲基丙烯酸四氟丙酯、甲基丙烯酸七氟丁酯、丙烯酸丁酯、甲基丙烯酸异丁酯、丙烯酸2-乙基己酯、甲基丙烯酸2-乙基己酯、丙烯酸异辛酯和甲基丙烯酸异辛酯。
在一些实例中,通过胶乳乳液聚合制备胶乳,并且胶乳具有约10,000Mw至约5,000,000Mw范围的重均分子量。在其它实例中,所述聚合物胶乳可选自由丙烯酸聚合物或共聚物、乙烯基乙酸酯聚合物或共聚物、聚酯聚合物或共聚物、偏二氯乙烯聚合物或共聚物、丁二烯聚合物或共聚物、苯乙烯-丁二烯聚合物或共聚物、丙烯腈-丁二烯聚合物或共聚物组成的组。在一些实例中,所述聚合物胶乳液体悬浮液包含液体(例如水和/或其它液体)及具有约20nm至约500nm的尺寸范围的聚合物胶乳微粒。在一些其它实例中,聚合物胶乳微粒具有约100nm至约300nm的大小。
在关于有用于本文所述的织物印刷介质的喷墨技术的进一步细节中,可使用的油墨包括包含一种或多种着色剂的那些,赋予印刷的介质期望的颜色。如文中使用,“着色剂”包括染料、颜料和/或其它可悬浮或溶解在油墨媒介中的微粒,赋予油墨组合物颜色。着色剂可以以产生期望的对比度和可读性的量存在于油墨组合物中。在一些实例中,油墨组合物包括作为着色剂(一种或多种)的颜料。可使用的颜料包括自分散颜料及用作单独的分散剂的标准颜料。关于喷墨印刷,例如,油墨可喷射到涂布的织物上,其中离散的聚合物颗粒铺设在表面上。
实施例
下面的实施例说明了目前已知织物印刷介质和方法的一些实施方式。然而,应理解的是,以下仅仅是对本发明组合物和方法的本发明原理的应用的举例或说明。在不偏离本发明组合物和方法的精神和范围的情况下,本领域中技术人员可对组合物和方法作出许多修改和替代。所附权利要求书意在包括这样的改动和配置。因此,尽管以上对本记录介质和方法进行了具体描述,以下实施例提供了有关目前认为是可接受的实施方式的进一步细节。
实施例1–制备涂布的织物基底
四种织物基底用于证明在根据本公开的实施例中制备的织物印刷介质的性能。如下,表1中说明了四种单独的织物的特性:

在加工和制备表3的处理的织物印刷介质中,分别用表2的涂布组合物溶液浸渍表1中列出的织物基底。一旦如所述浸渍,织物基底穿过具有约30PSI的挤压压力的轧染压料辊,以得到40~60%之间的吸湿量。然后根据基底,在200°F至280°F的对流箱中加热干燥加工的织物基底,具有每分钟2英尺的干燥速度。C3和C4的干燥温度为410°F持续1分钟。
实施例2–图像质量和耐久性检测
在如上述实施例1制备织物印刷介质时,使用装配有HP 789油墨墨盒的HPDesignJet L25500打印机在织物印刷介质(样品1~10)和对照样品上印刷相同的图案序列。设定大约50℃的印刷机的加热区温度、约110℃的固化区温度和约15%的气流。在这些印刷图像上进行下面的检测:
图像质量–通过测量例如黑色光密度、色域和油墨洇色的特性而进行图像质量检测。在TD904装置上测量黑色OD(KOD)和色域(Macbeth方法测量)。使用1~5的级别视觉地评估印刷样品的与洇色有关的印刷的图像质量(1最差,并且5最好)。
油墨附着性–为耐干擦和耐由于印刷图像的折叠或压痕造成的损伤而进行油墨附着性测试。具体地,使用耐磨擦测试仪进行耐摩擦测试。在织物上印刷全部可用颜色(青色、品红、黄色、黑色、绿色、红色和蓝色)的小块。550g的重量被负载到试验用机头(header)。测试尖端由丙烯酸树脂和碎布(crock cloth)制造。检测循环速度为25cm/min,并且每个样品进行5个循环,每个循环8英寸的长度。检测探针可为干(干擦)模式或湿(湿擦)模式,但是对于这个实施例,检测干擦。使用1~5的级别视觉地评估图像上的损坏(1最差,并且5最好)。
另外,进行折叠/压痕测试,包括首先印刷尺寸为8英寸×8英寸的检测目标,100%的所有颜色(即复合黑色图像)。接着,同时在MD和CMD方向面向内用图像大小折叠目标数次,然后1kg/2.2lb重量放在折叠的图像上20分钟。在20分钟后,展开目标,并检查压痕标记的正面和背面。使用1~5的级别视觉地评估图像上的损坏(1最差,并且5最好)。
耐水色牢度–使用三种技术评估耐水色牢度:滴水、浸水和洗涤剂洗涤。关于水滴测试,通过在印刷样品上施加DI水并观察图像上的水损坏而进行。关于水滴测试的方案如下:首先,印刷3英寸×3英寸的正方形,一个正方形用于待检测的每种着色剂(100%密度),确认每个印刷块周围有2~3英寸的白色/未印刷材料。接下来,使用实验室滴管工具分配6~7滴的DI水到每个正方形的中心。对于每个正方形立即重复它(this),然后让它在平板上干燥数个小时至一天。在干燥时间完成后,检测形成在印刷的块周围的图像的永久的色晕(halos)/圆圈。色晕(hallowing)或圆圈表示材料中添加剂/表面处理剂的不期望的流动。
通过在水中浸没印刷的图像直到完全浸泡而进行浸水,并让浸泡的图像干燥。
洗涤剂洗涤测试的方案为首先加入2加仑的非蒸馏水(室温)到5加仑的桶中,然后使用建议的剂量加入来自肥皂供应商的手洗皂(例如)。印刷的织物样品浸泡5分钟,用中等的力度用手挤压1次,然后浸泡另外5分钟。接着,倒出肥皂水,并加入普通的非蒸馏水(2加仑),并快速移动1分钟。在干燥后,使用1~5的级别视觉地评价图像上的损坏(1最差,并且5最好)。
阻燃性–按照FR Stanford CA 1237通过Diversified Test Lab Inc评价阻燃性。使用1~5的级别总结结果(1最差,并且5最好)。
进行这些检测时,收集结果,并且如下在以下表4中提供:

Claims (15)
1.一种织物印刷介质,包括上面施加有油墨接收涂层的织物基底,所述涂层包括金属络合物、有机磷酸酯和淀粉。
2.根据权利要求1所述的织物印刷介质,其中,所述织物基底为纺织品、针织品、无纺布、或簇绒布,并且所述织物基底包括选自由毛、棉、丝、人造纤维、热塑性脂肪族聚合物、聚酯、聚酰胺、聚酰亚胺、聚丙烯、聚乙烯、聚苯乙烯、聚四氟乙烯、玻璃纤维、聚三亚甲基、聚碳酸酯、聚对苯二甲酸酯或聚对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯组成的组的天然纤维或合成纤维。
3.根据权利要求1所述的织物印刷介质,其中,所述金属络合物包括带电的络离子,所述带电的络离子包括配位共价键或配价键,并且,其中所述带电荷的络离子具有附接至其的2至9个配体。
4.根据权利要求1所述的织物印刷介质,其中,所述金属络合物为具有至少两个带电的络离子的多核络合物,其中,配体供给电子对至所述至少两个带电的络离子,然后用作所述至少两个带电的络离子之间的桥。
5.根据权利要求1所述的织物印刷介质,其中,所述金属络合物为基于铝的多价盐。
6.根据权利要求1所述的织物印刷介质,其中,所述有机磷酸酯具有选自下组的化学品:
其中,R1、R2和R3独立地为C1~C12支链或直链烷基、芳基、二磷酸酯或卤素。
7.根据权利要求1所述的织物印刷介质,其中,所述有机磷酸酯选自由三(1,3-二氯代异丙基)磷酸酯、三(2-氯代异丙基)磷酸酯、三(2-氯代异丙基)磷酸酯、二甲基磷酸酯、二乙基磷酸酯、二甲基丙基磷酸酯、二乙基N,N-双(2-羟乙基)氨甲基磷酸酯、低聚的氯代烷基磷酸酯、氯代烷基磷酸酯和芳基磷酸酯组成的组。
8.根据权利要求1所述的织物印刷介质,其中,所述淀粉为源自玉米淀粉、土豆淀粉、大米淀粉、玉蜀黍淀粉、木薯淀粉或小麦淀粉的天然淀粉。
9.根据权利要求1所述的织物印刷介质,其中,所述淀粉为阳离子淀粉,所述阳离子淀粉是季盐和糖类的反应产物。
10.一种涂布组合物,包括:
水,
5wt%至50wt%的固体重量含量的金属络合物,
5wt%至50wt%的固体重量含量的有机磷酸酯,和
10wt%至80wt%的固体重量含量的淀粉,
其中,水与固体的重量比为以重量计2:1至99:1。
11.根据权利要求10的涂布组合物,其中,所述金属络合物包括:i)具有配位共价键或配价键的带电的络离子,并且,其中,所述带电的络离子具有附接至其的2至9个配体;ii)具有至少两个带电的络离子的多核络合物,其中,配体供给电子对至所述至少两个带电的络离子,并且然后用作所述至少两个带电的络离子之间的桥;或iii)基于铝的多价盐。
12.根据权利要求10的涂布组合物,其中,所述有机磷酸酯具有选自下组的化学品:
其中,R1、R2和R3独立地为C1-C12支链或直链烷基、芳基、二磷酸酯或卤素。
13.根据权利要求10的涂布组合物,其中,所述淀粉包括:i)源自玉米淀粉、土豆淀粉、大米淀粉、玉蜀黍淀粉、木薯淀粉或小麦淀粉的天然淀粉;或ii)为季盐和糖类的反应产物的阳离子淀粉。
14.涂布织物基底以形成织物介质基底的方法,包括:
用包括水、金属络合物、有机磷酸酯和淀粉的组合物浸渍织物基底;并且
在轧染后,在加热下干燥所述织物基底,以形成织物介质基底。
15.根据权利要求14所述的方法,包括在用所述组合物浸渍所述织物基底后施加压力到所述织物基底的步骤。
