本申请要求于2009年4月3日提交的申请61/166,248规定的优先权。本发明总体上涉及一种USB塞绳,尤其涉及一种与可收回卷筒相连的USB塞绳。
背景技术
通用串行总线,或称“USB”是一个通用术语,是指用于连接两个电子设备或连接设备和主机的标准。使用USB技术,使用单一标准接口插口就可连接多个外围设备。通过允许热交换,即,通过允许设备连接到或断开连接而不需要重新启动计算机或关断设备,还可提高即插即用能力。USB技术的其它特征包括为低耗设备提供电源,消除对外部电源的需要,及允许使用许多设备而无需安装专用设备驱动。
在特定情景下,可能还需要可收回卷筒中的USB塞绳,这样,该USB塞绳根据其如何及何时使用而延长和缩进卷筒。
发明内容
本发明涉及下述特征、元件或其组合的一种或多种。
在一个实施例中,可收回USB卷筒包括一对彼此相邻设置并由EMI/RFI防护物覆盖的数据线,数据线可互相扭绕。导体还可被放置和绕数据线扭绕或被设置为与数据线平行关系。这样,电线和防护物所产生的聚集可由低摩擦物质覆盖,并接着由EMI/RFI防护物覆盖。
在另一个实施例中,塞绳卷筒设置有电导材料。塞绳卷筒配置有固定USB线圈和活动USB线圈,这样,两个USB线圈互相相连。

具体实施方式
如图1所示,扁平USB电缆10可以包括第一数据线12和第二数据线14。第一和第二数据线12、14图示地处于相互接近位置并绕彼此扭绕。其它电线16、18、20、22、24、26和28还可与第一和第二数据线12、14并排设置。在所示的例子中,其它电线16、18、20、22、24、26和28以大体平行单排的方式设置在第一和第二数据线12、14的一侧或两侧。各种电线16、18、20、22、24、26和28用螺纹的材料固定在一起。
本发明包括电缆管理系统,用于组织和管理USB电缆,及可选择地包括其它电缆和/或与其连接的电线。这种管理系统适于USB塞绳在各种环境(包括小客车)的使用和存储。
如图2所示,所示的电缆管理系统30包括电缆存储单元32、电缆卷筒34、电缆36和USB连接器38。还可在电缆管理系统30的另一端设置第二USB连接器或其它电子连接器40。还可设置附加的连接器39、41。电缆存储单元32还有张紧元件,该张紧元件设置在卷筒34内并连接到卷筒34,该张紧元件的功能是阻止电缆36从壳体脱出。
电缆存储单元32可配置安装到座椅上、交通工具上或任何其它类型的结构上。在美国专利号5,094,396中公开了电缆存储单元和电缆管理系统的类似内容,该专利授予Burke,其所涉及的主题通过引用合并到本申请中,及授予Burke的美国专利号2007/0262185所涉及的主题也通过引用合并到本申请中。
如图2-3所示的实施例中,电缆存储单元32包括线轴或卷筒34,在线轴或卷筒34上缠绕有一部分长度的电缆36。电缆存储单元32还包括基底或壳体40。壳体40可包括多个圆周向间隔的调整片42,该调整片42被配置为使卷筒34相对壳体40转动。此外,调整片42还被配置为相对卷筒34保持电缆的缠绕部分44。在壳体40的内表面还涂有电导涂层。
壳体40还设置有安装孔46,以利于电缆存储单元32安装在乘客座椅下或某些其它位置上。应该理解到,电缆36可包括多种类型的电线和/或连接器。例如,在图2-3所示的实施例中,两连接器38、39和40、41处于电缆管理系统30的每一端。
电缆36的制造和结构被图示如下,并可从图4看出。一对USB数据线被相互相邻设置,这样,可保持彼此相对地大体上不动。例如,可以设想,USB数据线相互扭绕,扭绕率大体上为每英寸4次扭绕。接着USB数据线由编织防护物48覆盖。防护物48的功能是基本上去除数据线之间的空隙空间,并进一步辅助保护USB数据免受邻近电线和设备的干扰。在一个实施例中,防护物为螺旋编织的防护物。总之,USB数据线和防护物在本申请中被称作“第一结构”。
附加导体/数据线被设置于与第一结构空间关系邻近的位置,以产生具有大体上圆形外周剖面的第二结构。附加导体还可以每英寸2次扭绕的扭绕率扭绕或开槽。可替换地,附加导体可沿着或平行于第一结构,而不是绕着第一结构扭绕。若需要,还可使用“型芯填料”,以产生结构上大体为圆的芯。该“第二结构”将更理想地形成55mm或更大的弯曲半径。
接着,第二结构由低摩擦物质(如PFE)覆盖,接下来由第二防护物(如EMI/RFI防护物)覆盖。该过程可理想地产生USB电缆,该USB电缆的弯曲半径为55mm或更大,其长度至少为5米,信号率至少为1.5Mb。
还有兴趣于提供的USB塞绳具有足够的阻抗以操作电子设备和数据成份。对于绝大部分的数据应用所建议的额定阻抗为90欧姆。因此,所述公开实施例的一个目标是制造一种USB塞绳,该USB塞绳允许大体上为图示的90欧姆的阻抗。
可以观察到,电线的物理和几何特性及结构会影响阻抗。电线的间隔,及电线绝缘的壁厚是显著的。弯曲电线也影响阻抗。因此,很明显以大体均匀一致的方式固定USB数据线,而不管USB塞绳如何定位或弯曲。
沿USB电线定位的附加导体/电线也可影响阻抗。因此,当构造USB塞绳时,还要考虑USB电线、导体之间的防护物及附加导体的位置。还希望绕非USB导体的其它防护物。最后,在整个束的顶部形成编织尼龙套。该尼龙套可通过对其下数据线施加压力而影响阻抗。此外,在“双服务防护物”实施例中,还影响阻抗。
下表示出了在选择“P3”实施例的各种阻抗和阻抗所产生的衰落。术语“无套”意指没有使用尼龙套。术语“套”是指尼龙编织套。单服务和双服务指在塞绳内绕结构的防护物的数量。
从上面数据可以看出,必须使用带有较高阻抗的数据线以产生90欧姆的阻抗。还应注意到,在所呈现A中,可以发现USB塞绳的相关结构,通过引用合并到此处。
在公开各种变形和可替换形式的同时,具体的例子在图中已通过例子被示出,并在本申请中已详细地进行了描述。然而,应该注意到,这并不是试图限制对所公开具体实施例的公开,相反,其意图是覆盖公开的精神和范围内的所有变形、等同物和替换方案。
Claims (21)
1.通用串行总线塞绳卷筒装置,包括:
电缆,所述电缆包括:(a)第一和第二数据线,其互相相邻,并相互扭绕,每英寸大体上扭绕4次,(b)第一编织防护物,其包围第一和第二数据线以防止电磁或射频干扰,(c)至少两个附加导体,其邻近包围第一和第二数据线的防护物,该附加电线绕防护物每英寸大体上扭绕2次,(d)聚四氟乙烯封皮,其包围附加导体与第一和第二数据线,及(e)第二防护物,其包围聚四氟乙烯封皮;因此,电缆具有大约为90欧姆的阻抗;
在电缆的每一端的通用串行总线连接器;
壳体;
卷筒,其连接到壳体上,并能够相对壳体转动以接收电缆;
弹簧,其被安装在壳体和卷筒之间,用于沿一个方向偏压卷筒的旋转,以收回电缆;
棘齿,其连接到壳体,用于选择性地阻止卷筒的转动,从而使电缆可保持在延伸位置,或收回和卷绕在卷筒上。
2.一种制造通用串行总线电缆的方法,包括如下步骤:
将第一和第二数据线互相相邻放置;
将第一和第二数据线相互扭绕,且每英寸大体上扭绕4次;
用编织防护物覆盖扭绕的第一和第二数据线;
将一个或多个附加数据线放置在防护物附近;
以每英寸大体上扭绕2次绕编织防护物通过扭绕或螺旋开槽方式扭绕一条或多条附加数据线,形成第一和第二数据线、编织防护物和一条或多条附加数据线的圆形横截面,使得所产生的结构具有至少为大约55mm的弯曲半径;
用低摩擦物质涂覆编织防护物和所述一条或多条附加数据线;
用第二防护物覆盖低摩擦物质,该第二防护物用于防止射频和电磁干扰,使得所产生的结构具有大约为90欧姆的阻抗和至少大约为1.5兆字节/每秒的信号速率。
3.一种可收回的通用串行电缆装置,该装置包括:
壳体;
线轴,其设置在壳体内,并设置用于相对壳体转动;
固定电缆,其包括通用串行总线连接器,且从所述壳体延伸;
可收回电缆,其包括通用串行总线连接器,该可收回电缆能够从所述壳体延伸和收进壳体,并能够与固定电缆电连接;和
棘齿,其安装到壳体上,该棘齿具有接合位置,其中,该棘齿与所述线轴电连接;及该棘齿具有脱离位置,其中,该棘齿与所述线轴非电连接。
4.根据权利要求3所述的装置,其特征在于,该棘齿包括导体导线,及该线轴上安装有导体。
5.根据权利要求4所述的装置,其特征在于,在接合位置,所述导体与所述导体导线接触。
6.根据权利要求4所述的装置,其特征在于,该棘齿进一步包括第二导体导线,该线轴上安装有第二导体。
7.根据权利要求4所述的装置,其特征在于,当可收回塞绳从壳体延伸时,所述导体被防止与导体导线接触。
8.根据权利要求3所述的装置,其特征在于,固定塞绳与棘齿电连接。
9.根据权利要求3所述的装置,其特征在于,该棘齿包括在径向上与线轴壁相对齐的齿。
10.根据权利要求3所述的装置,其特征在于,该电缆至少包括:第一和第二数据线,其互相相邻,并相互扭绕,且每英寸大体上为4次扭绕;和第一编织防护物,其包围第一和第二数据线以防止电磁或射频干扰。
11.根据权利要求10所述的装置,其特征在于,该电缆还包括:至少两个附加导体,其邻近包围第一和第二数据线的防护物,该附加电线以每英寸扭绕2次绕防护物扭绕;以及包围附加导体及第一和第二数据线的聚四氟乙烯封皮。
12.根据权利要求11所述的装置,其特征在于,所述电缆进一步包括:第二防护物,其包围聚四氟乙烯封皮,从而,电缆具有大约为90欧姆的阻抗。
13.一种通用串行总线电缆卷筒装置,该装置包括壳体、具有连接到其上的导体的线轴;所述线轴设置在壳体内,并设置用于相对壳体转动;
棘齿,其设置为选择性地与线轴接合;和
可收回电缆,其至少部分地绕线轴缠绕,可回收电缆可从所述壳体延伸且具有从每一端延伸的通用串行总线,其中,电流通过与线轴相连的导体。
14.根据权利要求13所述的装置,其特征在于,该棘齿包括导体导线,该导体导线被配置为与线轴上的导体相接触。
15.根据权利要求14所述的装置,其特征在于,该棘齿进一步包括第二导体导线,该线轴上安装有第二导体。
16.根据权利要求13所述的装置,其特征在于,在可收回线缆从壳体延伸时,所述导体被防止与棘齿接触。
17.根据权利要求13所述的装置,其特征在于,该装置还包括与棘齿电连接的固定电缆。
18.根据权利要求13所述的装置,其特征在于,该棘齿包括在径向上与线轴相对齐的齿。
19.根据权利要求13所述的装置,该电缆至少包括:第一和第二数据线,其互相相邻,并相互扭绕,且每英寸大体上扭绕4次;及第一编织防护物,其包围第一和第二数据线以防止电磁或射频干扰。
20.根据权利要求19所述的装置,其特征在于,该电缆还包括:至少两个附加导体,其邻近包围第一和第二数据线的防护物,该附加电线以每英寸扭绕2次绕防护物扭绕;以及包围附加导体、第一和第二数据线的聚四氟乙烯封皮。
21.根据权利要求20所述的装置,其特征在于,所述电缆进一步包括:第二防护物,其包围聚四氟乙烯封皮,从而,电缆具有大约为90欧姆的阻抗。
