Description
背景
本发明涉及覆盖有金属涂层的模块化塑料传送带组件。
螺旋带式传送机经常被用于缓慢地输送产品通过烤箱、检验人员、或者冷藏室。大多数螺旋传送机使用有大开放区的金属带,绕着缓慢旋转的螺旋驱动塔(drive tower)沿着螺旋状传送轨迹来运输产品。由于金属带本来就很硬,只需要几个导轨在带下支撑。在某些螺旋应用中,金属带被轻质、抗腐蚀的模块化塑料传送带所取代。在一些改进情况下,塑料带能够直接安装在现有的螺旋传送机的支撑导轨上。但是宽度上横穿模块化塑料传送带的梁刚度(beam stiffness)不如金属带的梁刚度高。固体不锈钢铰链杆经常用于增加塑料带的梁刚度。但是固体金属杆增加了带的重量,并且因为其刚度,限制了载荷只能分布在带的外侧边的前几个铰链元件上。
除了集中在螺旋带上的这些问题,模块化塑料传送带会受到铰链处和驱动表面上的磨损,其中在铰链眼和铰链销之间和链轮齿和带上的驱动表面之间会有摩擦。
概述

详细描述
图1示出了体现本发明的特征的通过铰链杆所互相连接的模块化塑料传送带的一部分。适合以螺旋路径运动的带10,比如绕螺旋传送机的驱动塔运动,包含一系列在铰链关节16处用铰链杆18连接在一起的一个或多个带模块14的排12。沿着每排的前端的贯通横向间隔开的铰链元件或眼(eye)22的孔20,与沿着前排的后边的贯穿交错的铰链元件的孔对准,以形成贯穿带宽度的横向通路。接收在相邻排之间的通路中的铰链杆将带连接在一起,并允许带绕链轮铰接。在这种特殊的带中,一些或者全部的孔20在带运动方向24上被延长,来允许带的内边26在旋转的内侧处塌陷,同时外边27伸展。
带被示出成由导轨28靠近内边和外边支撑。为了限制导轨间塑料带的下垂,一些或所有的铰链杆18在其全部或大部分的长度用金属涂层30或包层增强。杆增强带的横向梁的刚度来限制下垂。在图1的螺旋带中,铰链杆的在带的外边27处的端部32没有被涂敷,以给带外边提供足够的柔韧度来分担大多数最外边的铰链元件上的带拉力。
如图2所示,铰链杆18的涂层部分包含内部的热塑性芯部34,内部的热塑性芯部34的圆形的圆柱形外表面36覆盖有均匀厚度的薄金属涂层30。所述芯部是热塑性聚合物,比如聚丙烯,聚乙烯,乙缩醛,和尼龙,由挤压或模制形成。所述金属涂层最好是熔进聚合物芯部的纳米晶金属合金(nanocrystalline metal alloy),比如镍和镍铁合金。由以下公司:DuPontEngineering Polymers of Wilmington,Delaware,Morph Technologies,Inc.,Integran Technologies,Inc.,和PowerMetal Technologies研发的MetaFuseTM纳米晶金属/聚合物混合技术是用于用金属包层涂敷热塑性材料以增加刚度的一种技术。以上和其他合适的金属涂敷的技术在2008年4月8日的名为“Article Comprising a Fine-Grained Metallic Material and a PolymericMaterial”的美国专利第7,354,354号中描述,该美国专利以引用方式并入。

金属涂层热塑性传送带组件的另一个实例是图4中的带模块50。同图3中的链轮,带模块主要由热塑性聚合物通过注塑成型过程制造。其外表面的一部分被金属涂层56所覆盖,以提供带模块的该支承区域的抗磨损,在这个实例中外表面指的是通过铰链元件54的杆孔52的圆柱壁。
虽然本发明被参考几种优选形式进行了描述,但其他形式也是可能的。例如,涂敷金属的铰链杆被示为只沿着其长度的一部分进行涂敷,但也可以沿着其整个长度进行涂敷。并且杆被示为具有圆形的横截面,但其横截面可以是卵形,矩形,或甚至为非对称的形状。一些其他的可以受益于金属涂层的传送带组件包括:链板(flight)的顶边;带模块的驱动承受面(drive-receiving surface);球式带(ball belt)中支承滚子滚球的支撑表面;辐带(radius belt),螺旋带,或倾斜带中的压紧导向物(holddown guide);滚子式带中的定轴滚子的轴。金属涂层也可以为热塑性传送带组件提供导电性,磁性,可视性或其他可探测的标记,或者美学上令人愉悦的设计。作为另一个例子,其他金属涂敷工艺,比如金属沉积,电镀,和粘接都可用于使热塑性传送带构件变硬。因此,如这几个实例所示,权利要求的范围不是意在限制详细描述的优选形式。
Claims (15)
1.一种传送带组件,包含:
热塑性构件,其具有外表面并适用于模块化传送带;
金属涂层,其覆盖所述热塑性构件的所述外表面的至少一部分。
2.如权利要求1所述的传送带组件,其中所述热塑性构件包含铰链杆,所述铰链杆在所述杆的相对端之间具有圆柱形外表面,并且其中所述金属涂层覆盖所述圆柱形外表面的至少一部分。
3.如权利要求2所述的传送带组件,其中所述金属涂层从所述铰链杆的一端向内覆盖所述圆柱形外表面。
4.如权利要求1所述的传送带组件,其中所述热塑性构件包含传送带模块,所述传送带模块具有铰链元件,所述铰链元件带有穿过其的孔,并且其中所述金属涂层覆盖所述铰链元件的所述外表面的至少一部分。
5.如权利要求4所述的传送带组件,其中所述金属涂层界定所述孔。
6.如权利要求1所述的传送带组件,其中所述热塑性构件包含具有中心梁的传送带模块,并且其中所述金属涂层覆盖所述中心梁的外表面的至少一部分。

8.如权利要求1所述的传送带组件,其中所述热塑性构件包含具有驱动表面的链轮,并且其中所述金属涂层覆盖所述驱动表面的至少一部分。
9.如权利要求1所述的传送带组件,其中所述热塑性构件包含具有中心洞的链轮,并且其中在所述链轮的外表面上的所述金属涂层界定所述洞。
10.如权利要求1所述的传送带组件,其中所述金属涂层熔合到所述热塑性构件的所述外表面。
11.如权利要求1所述的传送带组件,其中所述涂层的厚度是均匀的。
12.如权利要求1所述的传送带组件,含有当装入传送带时与其他组件摩擦接触的支承区域,其中所述支承区域包括所述金属涂层。
13.一种制造传送带组件的方法,包括:
形成具有外表面并适用于模块化传送带的热塑性构件;
用金属涂层覆盖所述外表面的至少一部分。
14.如权利要求13所述的方法,包含将所述金属涂层熔合到所述热塑性传送带构件的所述外表面。
15.如权利要求13所述的方法,其中所述热塑性传送带构件通过挤压形成。
