技术领域
本发明一般涉及无线电通信电缆,并尤其涉及设计成减少相邻电缆之间的串扰的无线电通信电缆。
背景技术
随着网络变得越来越复杂并需要更高带宽的电缆布线,电缆之间的串扰(或“外来串扰”)衰减对于提供稳固的且可靠的通信系统来说变得越来越重要。外来串扰主要是耦合的电磁噪音,这种电磁噪音会发生在被干扰的电缆内,外来串扰由在被干扰的电缆附近经过的载有信号的电缆引起,且外来串扰通常可称为外来近端串扰(ANEXT)或外来远端串扰(AFEXT)。此外,串扰会发生在特定电缆内的双绞线之间,这会附加地降低通信系统的可靠性,且通常被称为近端串扰(NEXT)或远端串扰(FEXT)。
发明内容
减少通信通道内的外来串扰的一种方法是提供一种被终端连接到屏蔽接插件内的屏蔽电缆(例如带箔双绞线(F/UTP))。然而,当与非屏蔽双绞线(U/UTP)系统比较时,这种解决方法由于更高的电缆及接插件费用以及与使屏蔽接插件与屏蔽电缆终端连接相关联的更高的劳动力成本及其它安装因素而具有更高的成本。此外,这种类型的电缆会潜在地增加电缆内双绞线之间的NEXT和FEXT。丝网双绞线和带箔双绞线(S/FTP)电缆(丝网屏蔽件所有线对,且单个带箔屏蔽件在每个单独线对周围)减少ANEXT和AFEXT,且当与F/UTP相比较时还减少NEXT和FEXT,但当与F/UTP相比较时具有更高的材料和劳动力成本。
还可以通过在导线和电缆外套之间添加分隔结构(spacer)来减少外来串扰,以提高相邻电缆内的导线之间的平均距离,并由此减少外来串扰。然而,这种解决方案增加电缆的总体直径,其实际上的缺点在于,这种电缆通常具有更大的最小弯曲半径,并且由于相对较大的直径,可将更少的电缆置于给定的导管或电缆托架(tray)内。
减少外来串扰的另一种选择是STP电缆可以使用无终端接头的屏蔽件。遗憾的是,这种电缆会具有关于电磁兼容性(EMC)要求、辐射和磁化的问题,这些问题会尤其在电缆内有不平衡时导致外来串扰。

具体实施方式
本发明主要涉及一种使用矩阵带来提高串扰衰减的U/UTP电缆。
现参考附图,并具体参考图1,示出有通信系统20,其包括连接至设备24的至少一个通信电缆22。设备24在图1示出为插线面板,但设备可以是无源设备或有源设备。无源设备的例子可以是,但不限于模块化的插线面板、下压式插线面板、耦合器插线面板,墙壁插座等。有源设备的例子可以是,但不限于如能够在数据中心/无线通信室内发现的以太网转换机、路由器、服务器、物理层管理系统和以太网供电设备;安全装置(摄像头和其它传感器等)以及门禁设备;以及如能够在工作站区域内发现的电话、计算机、传真机、打印机和其它外围设备。通信系统20还可包括机壳、机架、电缆管理和顶置路由系统以及其它这种设备。
通信电缆22示出为非屏蔽双绞线(UTP)电缆的形式,并更具体地为能够以10Gb/s运作的6A类电缆,如在图2中更具体示出那样,且下面将作更详细描述。然而,本发明能够应用到各种通信电缆和其他类型的电缆,并且/或者在各种通信电缆和其他类型的电缆中实施。电缆22能够直接端接到设备24中,或者替代地能够端接到多个插头25或诸如RJ45型的插座模块27中、插座模块盒和许多其它接插件类型或其组合中。此外,电缆22能够被加工成电缆线束或捆束,并能够附加地可以被加工成预先端接的线束。
通信电缆22可用于多种结构电缆布线的应用场合中,其包括接插线、主干布线和水平布线,尽管本发明并不限于这些应用场合。一般来说,本发明可用于军事、工业、电信、计算机、数据通信和其它电缆布线应用场合。
更具体地参照图2,示出有电缆22沿图1中剖面线2-2剖取的横向剖面。电缆22包括具有用线对分隔件28分开的四对导电双绞线26的内芯23。线对分隔件28的横截面更具体地在图3中示出,其首先以英寸,然后(在括号内)以毫米示出线对分隔件的一个实施例的尺寸。在一较佳的实施例中,线对分隔件28随着顺时针的转动(左手捻)形成有3.2英寸的电缆束距或捻距。线对分隔件28可由诸如固体阻燃剂聚乙烯(FRPE)之类的塑料制成。
屏障带32的裹绕件包围内芯23。屏障带32可以如图4中所示螺旋地缠绕在内芯23周围,裹绕角度约为15°±10°。在一较佳实施例中,屏障带32可以是聚丙烯泡沫,例如具有1.5英寸的宽度和0.005英寸的厚度。如图2中所示,双绞线导线延伸超过线对分隔件28以形成内芯23的约0.2164英寸的外直径,内芯具有0.679英寸的周长。因此,屏障带32围绕内芯23裹绕略大于两遍,且有屏障带32的两种施加方法(如图4中所示),这给了屏障带32总体约0.020英寸的厚度(然而,诸如0.005至0.0030英寸的其它厚度也可以)。
导线是标称为23AWG的实心铜(标称为0.0226英寸的直径),且更具体地具有0.0238±0.0005英寸的直径。线对绝缘件的厚度略有变化,这些变化产生线对与线对之间阻抗的略微变化。绝缘件的厚度如下:线对1(蓝/白-蓝)=0.0455±0.0005英寸厚;线对2(橙/白-橙)=0.0439±0.0005英寸厚;线对3(绿/白-绿)=0.0452±0.0005英寸厚;以及线对4(棕/白-棕)=0.0446±0.0005英寸厚。导线绝缘件可以是例如阻燃剂聚乙烯。在一较佳实施例中,线对捻距如下:线对1(蓝/白-蓝)=0.328英寸;线对2(橙/白-橙)=0.464英寸;线对3(绿/白-绿)=0.353英寸;以及线对4(棕/白-棕)=0.423英寸。
矩阵带34(具体见图5-7)被螺旋地裹绕在屏障带32周围,如图2和4中所示,例如具有约15°的裹绕角和约25%的重叠。根据一个实施例,矩阵带34是被“接缝”(kiss)冲切,以在带34的任一侧上形成导电段36。图7示出矩阵带34的在任一侧上有导电段36的矩阵带部分中的横截面;或者换言之,在接缝冲切之前的矩阵带34的横截面。在接缝冲切后保持在各导电段36之间的材料是中心聚酯膜基底,且可能是某些粘合剂残留物。图7顶部处的方框示出聚酯铝叠层的总厚度,以及组成该叠层的聚酯层和铝层的厚度。尽管在图表中未示出,但粘合剂的薄层也包括在该叠层内,粘合剂的薄层具有约0.0001英寸的厚度。图5、6和7首先以英寸,然后(在括号中)以毫米示出根据本发明的矩阵带的一个实施例的尺寸。标记为“T.S.C.类型”的尺寸表示当角是尖角而不是倒圆角时的理论尺寸。图6是图5的细节“A”的详图。图6中给出圆角的半径(“R”)。

Claims (6)

1.一种通信电缆,包括:
多对导线双绞线;
矩阵带,所述矩阵带围绕所述多对导线双绞线,
所述矩阵带包括具有第一侧和相反的第二侧的绝缘层、由所述第一侧上的间隙分开的导电段的第一屏障层和由所述第二侧上的间隙分开的导电段的第二屏障层;
线对分隔件,所述线对分隔件使所述多对导线双绞线的每一对与所述多对导线的双绞线的另一对分开,所述线对分隔件包括多个截锥形的分隔件支臂,所述分隔件支臂由中心腹部连结,其中每个所述分隔件支臂位于所述导线双绞线中的一对与所述导线双绞线的另一对之间。
2.如权利要求1所述的通信电缆,其特征在于,所述截锥形的分隔件支臂中的至少一个支臂包括倒圆角的自由端。
3.如权利要求1所述的通信电缆,其特征在于,用左手捻来形成所述线对分隔件。
4.如权利要求1所述的通信电缆,其特征在于,所述通信电缆还包括在所述矩阵带与所述多对导线双绞线之间的屏障带。
5.如权利要求4所述的通信电缆,其特征在于,所述屏障带被螺旋地缠绕在所述多对导线双绞线周围。
6.如权利要求5所述的通信电缆,其特征在于,所述矩阵带被螺旋地缠绕在所述屏障带周围。
