Description
此申請案主張於2008年11月10日所申請之美國專利申請案第61/112794號的優先權。此申請案在此全部被併入作為參考。
本發明一般有關於電信電纜,且更特別的是有關於被設計來降低相鄰電纜間的串音之電信電纜。
由於網路變成更複雜而且有更高頻寬電纜布設之需要,所以電纜對電纜的串音(或「外來串音」)之衰減變成愈來愈重要,以提供健全且可靠的通訊系統。外來串音主要為發生在受干擾的電纜中之耦合的電磁雜訊(其起因於運行靠近受干擾的電纜之訊號載送電纜),且典型上以外來近端串音(ANEXT),或外來遠端串音(AFEXT)為其特徵。此外,串音會發生在特定電纜內的雙絞線之間,其會額外地降低通訊系統的可靠度,且典型上以近端串音(NEXT),或遠端串音(FEXT)為其特徵。
降低通訊頻道中之外來串音的其中一種方式為提供端接於屏蔽連接器中的屏蔽電纜(例如,金屬箔雙絞線(F/UTP))。然而,由於電纜及連接器的較高成本,及與以屏蔽連接器端接屏蔽電纜相關聯的較高人工成本,以及其
他安裝因素,所以當與非屏蔽雙絞線(U/UTP)相較時,此解決方式的成本非常高。此外,此型式的電纜可能會增加電纜內之雙絞線間的NEXT及FEXT。當與F/UTP相較時,遮蔽式金屬箔雙絞線(S/FTP)(遮蔽式地屏蔽所有雙絞線的周圍,而後個別的箔片屏蔽在每一個個別雙絞線的周圍)降低ANEXT及AFEXT,而且也降低NEXT及FEXT,但是當與F/UTP相較時,S/FTP卻有更高的材料及人工成本。
外來串音也可藉由添加間隔物於導體與電纜護套之間來予以降低,以增加相鄰電纜中導體之間平均距離,藉以降低外來串音。然而,此解決方式會增加電纜的整體直徑,其具有的實際缺點在於此種電纜典型上具有較大的最小彎曲半徑,而且由於有相當大的直徑,所以更少的電纜可被設置在給定的導線管或電纜托盤中。
降低外來串音的另一選項為可與未端接的屏蔽物一起使用之STP電纜。不幸的是,此種電纜會有相關於電磁相容性(EMC)要求的問題,特別是電纜中有不平衡存在時,其會導致外來串音。
本發明主要係有關於使用基材膠帶(matrix tape)來改善串音衰減的U/UTP電纜。
現在參照圖式,且更明確的是參照圖1,係顯示有通訊系統20,其包括連接至裝備24的至少一通訊電纜22。
裝備24係例舉為圖1中的插線面板(patch panel),但是此裝備可為被動式裝備或主動式裝備。被動式裝備的例子可為(但不受限於)模組化插線面板、下衝式插線面板、耦合器插線面板、牆式插座(wall jack)等。主動式裝備的例子可為(但不受限於)乙太網路開關、路由器、伺服器、實體層管理系統、及如同可在資料中心/電信機房中發現到的乙太網路供電系統(power-over-ethernet);安全裝置(相機及其他感測器等)及門禁裝備;以及電話、電腦、傳真機、印表機及如同可在工作站區域中發現到的其他週邊。通訊系統20可更包括機櫃、機架、電纜管理與架空式路由(overhead routing)系統、以及其他此類的裝備。
通訊電纜22係以非屏蔽雙絞線(UTP)電纜的形式來予以顯示,且更明確的是可操作在10Gb/s的第6A類電纜,如同更特別地被顯示於明確圖2中,且其將於底下更詳細地予以說明。然而,本發明可被應用於及/或實施於各種通訊電纜,以及其他型式的電纜中。通訊電纜22可直接被端接至裝備24中,或另一種方式是,可被端接於各種插頭25或諸如RJ45型式的插座模組27、插座模組卡匣、及許多其他的連接器類型、或其組合。另外,通訊電纜22可被處理成芯形(loom)或束形的電纜,且另外可被處理成預先端接的纜芯(loom)。
通訊電纜22可被使用於包括插線面線、主幹佈纜(backbone cabling)、及水平佈纜的各種結構化佈纜應用中,然而本發明並不受限於此類的應用。一般而言,本發
明可被使用於軍事、工業、電信、電腦、資料通訊、及其他佈纜應用中。
更特別的是參照圖2,係顯示有沿著圖1中的剖面線2-2所取出之通訊電纜22的橫截面。通訊電纜22包括內核芯23,其具有以成對分離器28來予以分離之4對絞線導線對(亦即,雙絞線導體)26。成對分離器28的截面係更詳細地顯示於圖3中,圖3顯示此成對分離器首先以英吋,其次(在括弧中)以毫米的一個實施例之尺寸。在較佳實施例中,成對分離器28係使用3.2英吋的電纜絞距或捻距(stranding or lay length)而以順時鐘旋轉(左捻)來予以製成的。成對分離器28可由諸如例如固體耐燃聚乙烯(FRPE)的塑膠所製成。
阻障膠帶32的包材包圍內核芯23。如圖4所示,阻障膠帶32可以約15°±10°的纏繞角度而螺旋式地繞著內核芯23纏繞。在較佳實施例中,阻障膠帶32可為例如是具有1.5英吋的寬度及0.005英吋的厚度之聚丙烯泡棉。如圖2所示,雙絞線導體26延伸超出成對分離器28外,以產生約0.2164英吋之內核芯23的外徑,其具有0.679英吋的周長。阻障膠帶32因此繞著內核芯23纏繞稍大於兩次,且有兩層的阻障膠帶32(如圖4所示),其給予總共約0.020英吋之厚度的阻障膠帶32(然而,可以是諸如0.005至0.0030英吋之其他厚度)。
導線標稱上是23 AWG實心銅(標稱上為0.0226英吋的直徑),且更明確的是具有0.0238±0.0005英吋的直徑。對於在對與對之間的阻抗會產生些微變化的導線對而言,
絕緣體厚度有些微的變化。絕緣體厚度係如下:對1(藍色/白色-藍色)=0.0455±0.0005英吋的厚度;對2(橘色/白色-橘色)=0.0439±0.0005英吋的厚度;對3(綠色/白色-綠色)=0.0452±0.0005英吋的厚度;及對4(棕色/白色-棕色)=0.0446±0.0005英吋的厚度。導體絕緣材料可為例如是耐燃聚乙烯。在較佳實施例中,對距如下:對1(藍色/白色-藍色)=0.328英吋;對2(橘色/白色-橘色)=0.464英吋;對3(綠色/白色-綠色)=0.353英吋;及對4(棕色/白色-棕色)=0.423英吋。
基材膠帶34(特別見圖5-7)係以例如約15°的纏繞角度及約25%的重疊而螺旋式地繞著阻障膠帶32纏繞,如圖2及4中所顯示。根據一個實施例,基材膠帶34被「輕觸(kiss)」模切割,以產生位於基材膠帶34的任一側上之導電分段36。圖7繪示基材膠帶34在膠帶的剖面上之截面,其中,在任一側上有導電分段36;或換言之,在輕觸模切割前之基材膠帶34的截面。在輕觸模切割之後,仍殘留在導電分段36之間的材料為中央聚酯膜基板,且或許是一些黏著劑殘留物。圖7的上方處之方框顯示聚酯-鋁疊層的總厚度,以及構成此疊層之聚酯層及鋁層的厚度。雖然未顯示於此圖中,但是也包含於此疊層中的是具有約0.0001英吋的厚度之黏著劑的薄層。圖5、6及7顯示根據本發明之基材膠帶的一個實施例之尺寸,其首先是英吋且其次(在括弧中)是毫米。標示「T.S.C.Typ」的尺寸反映出假如角落是尖的,而不是圓形的之理論尺寸。圖6為圖5的細部「A」之詳細視圖。圓形的角

Claims (18)
- 一種通訊電纜,包含:複數個雙絞線導體;基材膠帶,實質上包圍該複數個雙絞線導體,該基材膠帶包括具有第一側及相對的第二側之絕緣體、該基材膠帶之第一層,其具有導電分段,該等導電分段在該該第一側上於該通訊電纜的縱向和周邊方向兩者上係由間隙所分離以便防止任何個別的導電分段橫切該通訊電纜的整個長度或整個周邊、及該基材膠帶之第二層,其具有導電分段,該等導電分段在該第二側上於該通訊電纜的縱向和周邊方向兩者上係由間隙所分離以便防止任何個別的導電分段橫切該通訊電纜的整個長度或整個周邊;以及成對分離器,使該複數個雙絞線導體的每一個雙絞線導體與該複數個雙絞線導體的另一個雙絞線導體分離,該成對分離器包括藉由中央網狀物所連結之複數個截錐形分離器支柱,其中,該複數個分離器支柱的每一個分離器支柱約位於該複數個雙絞線導體的其中一個雙絞線導體與該複數個雙絞線導體的另一個雙絞線導體之間。

- 如申請專利範圍第7項之方法,更包括將聚酯膜基板接合至該導電層之步驟。
