在本文中描述的用户界面，为至少一个电子游戏机(EGM)以及优选地为EGM的网络管理下载和配置任务、作业、分配(assignment)(不限于分配)等。然而，可以理解，本发明的用户界面可适合于在其它管理多台机器的系统和网络中使用，多台机器包括但不限于电脑、收银机、远程取款机、ATM机、自动售货机、收费亭、保安系统、以及自动售票机。
在本发明中，公开多个网络系统和管理联网的游戏机的用户界面方法。本界面系统的运行环境在上述引用的未决申请PCTUS/2006/035556中进行了描述，该申请的说明书的一部分将结合来自上述申请的图1-图5在下面进行详细解释。
公开的系统支持游戏机例如但不限于电子游戏机(EGM)的数据下载和配置。通过网络系统，娱乐场操作员可定义EGM的集合、将模块分配给一个或多个EGM的集合、将配置更改分配给一个或多个EGM的集合以及安排所有的分配。
系统允许将在EGM上运行的部分或全部软件被集中地存储在位于一个或多个服务器上的软件分布库中。当期望初始建立EGM，EGM游戏替换更新、配置或任何其它期望的目的时，可通过网络(例如以太网)发送软件。
即使完整的游戏比赛正在进行，系统也可在后台利用多播将软件包下载到EGM。服务器将一个或多个软件包通过单次多播传输至所有目标机器。每个EGM跟踪软件包并注意丢失的、出错的或丢弃的包。在一个实施方式中，服务器接收来自所有EGM的再发送包的请求，并再次将包多播至所有EGM，而忽略哪个EGM需要哪个包。个体的EGM接受所需的丢失的包并忽略其他重播的包。应注意的是，系统不限于多播传输，还可使用HTTP、HTTPS、FTP、SFTP以及其它传输协议。
应注意的是，术语EGM涵盖任意类型的游戏机，包括用作游戏机的手持设备，例如基于蜂窝的设备(如电话)、PDA等。EGM可以是可执行游戏的任何网络节点，并不限于有机壳的机器。系统对作为视频游戏控制台或手持或其它便携设备的一部分执行的游戏机具有相等的适用性。在一个实施方式中，出于法律规定或其它的目的，在手持或便携游戏设备中的地理定位设备可用于定位特定的用户。可使用的地理定位技术包括，例如但不限于IP地址查询、GPS、手机塔位置、cell DD、已知的无线接入点位置、使用的Wi-Fi链接、电话号码、物理线路或客户端设备上的端口、或访问的中间层或后端服务器。在一个实施方式中，GPS和生物计量设备被建立在游戏者的客户端设备中，在一个实施方式中，客户端设备包括游戏者拥有的个人电脑设备，或作为由娱乐场利用USB、蓝牙、IRDA、串行界面或其它界面提供至硬件的附加设备，以使游戏能够遵守管辖，确保游戏的地点和游戏者的身份。在另一个实施方式中，娱乐场提供全部的个人电脑设备，其具有建立在其中的以下设备，例如输入板类型的计算设备、PDA、手机或能够进行系统游戏的其它类型的计算设备。
图1中示出可随系统一起使用的网络的实施方式。软件分布网络包括顶级供应商分布点101，顶级供应商分布点101包括用于所有管辖范围的所有软件包；一个或多个管辖范围分布点102A和102B，管辖范围分布点包括在管辖范围或子管辖范围内使用的监管机构批准生产的签名软件包；一个或多个软件管理点103A和103B，以安排或控制软件包至EGM的下载；以及一个或多个软件分布点104A和104B，包括仅用在它支持的游戏建立中的监管机构批准生产的签名软件包。软件分布点(SDP)104A和104B可分别与系统管理点(SMP)105A和105B通信，也可直接传达至一个或多个EGM 106A和106B。(在SDP和SMP之间的通信是可选的。一个益处是允许SMP和用户访问在SDP上可用的软件包的目录。)系统允许新游戏和来自集中点的操作系统(OS)的快速且安全的分发。这样可以用对程序的修补或更新来更新和改进现有的游戏机，还可修改例如屏幕图像、视频、声音、支出表(Pay Table)和其它EGM控制及支持文件。这为来自集中控制和分布点的游戏机提供了完全控制，并且能最小化EGM的人为干预的需要和延迟。
在一个实施方式中，1GB的紧凑式闪存卡最初用作用于OS和存储下载软件包的EGM中的存储介质。第二紧凑式闪存将用于产品游戏的存储，如现今存在的闪存一样。OS紧凑式闪存将被划分为生产、备份和下载区。生产区包括有效的OS和游戏管理软件，用以允许在EGM上进行游戏。存储的这部分区域将在其上进行所有的文件完整性检查和验证。其它区域将用于存储备份软件和数据、新下载软件包、新软件包的安装，以及保存非易失性随机访问存储器(NVRAM)、计数器、随机数字数据和其它加密数据格式的安全信息。游戏人员经由SMP安排软件下载。SMP通知独立的游戏机，它们已被安排以便接收来自特定供应商软件分布点(SDP)的下载软件包。然后，EGM将请求SDP开始将下载软件包发送给它。

系统包括恢复计划以适应软件包的传输错误或接收错误。该恢复计划允许每个EGM报告丢失的块(包)，不管是没有收到的或收到但带有错误(数据损坏)的。SDP逻辑可累加丢失的包和对应的EGM的列表，并使用多播协议再发送丢失的包。
由EGM指定被传输的特定的软件包。EGM使用点对点协议向SDP发出请求。SDP可能不会立即服务这些请求，所以EGM在等待传输时和在传输过程中被允许操作。EGM负责记录传输并校验完成的传输的有效性。该记录可用于在任何给定的时间协调EGM的软件包内容。此外，SDP将记录传输活动并提供交叉检验EGM的软件包内容的方法。

系统包括必要的技术以确定EGM是否包含必要的软件包从而使用新的软件包(软件包相关性)。如果给定的软件包A需要另外的软件包(软件包B和软件包C)以在EGM上运行，可根据包含在软件包A内的软件包头部确定相关性。然后，在请求软件包A被传输至EGM之前，SMP可确定EGM是否已经包含相关的软件包(软件包B和软件包C)。类似地，SMP可自动地选择除最初的软件包A之外的待传输的相关软件包，因而实现软件包A的相关性。系统的这方面提供了保证等级使得传输的软件包可由EGM实际使用。
系统包括必要的技术以确定软件包的相关硬件组件(组件)在EGM上是否可用。如果软件包X需要组件Y和组件Z，SMP可读取EGM的组件并将该信息用于组件相关性检验。如果软件包的需要的组件相关性在EGM上可用，则将允许软件包传输至EGM；否则，将不允许软件包传输。系统的这方面提供了保证等级使得传输的软件包能由EGM实际使用。
当在娱乐场楼层中安装新的EGM时，直接向EGM传输软件的能力提供了另外的供选方案。制造的、并直接放置在娱乐场楼层的EGM最初可装载引导媒介(EPROM、CD-ROM、紧凑式闪存等)，引导媒介可启动EGM并准备在请求安装新软件包之前进行通信。两种引导方法可用于向EGM传输软件。在引导程序完成之前，两种方法都需要EGM的最低配置。最低配置由下列各项组成：

下载软件包安装程序209
下载软件包安装程序209负责安装从软件分布点104下载的软件包。当设置安装规则命令从系统管理点105发送时，会通知何时开始安装下载的软件包。下载软件包安装程序209通过读取下载驱动程序207接收该命令。下载软件包安装程序109的基础功能是：
1-解析设置安装规则以确定如何处理软件包。
2-基于设置安装规则命令中的指令禁用EGM 106。
3-使用作为下载软件包的一部分发送的命令文件安装软件包。
4-安装规则指示时，清除NVRAM。
5-安装规则指示时，重新启动EGM 106。
6-通过下载驱动程序207将状态和错误信息传回。
EGM初始化
图3示出EGM启动的消息流的示意图。EGM 106将消息302发送至请求软件包的SDP 104。SDP 104回复消息303，指示软件包尺寸和用于传输的多播IP/Socket。从SDP 104至EGM 106的消息304本身是软件包数据。如果需要，EGM 106可通过发送消息305请求丢失的包。
如上所述，系统使用多播以将软件包发送至多个EGM。当包丢失并由EGM请求时，SDP 104收集多个请求并将所有丢失的包的多播发送至所有EGM。如果一台特定的EGM不需要再广播包的其中之一，则其被忽略。否则，EGM接受再广播的包，并使用其完成软件包传输。
下载驱动程序
在下载驱动程序207和下载程序之间的界面中，所有设置状态、设置错误信息和命令信息通过IOCTL调用传至驱动程序207。程序使用读取界面以获取来自驱动程序207的处理指令。下载接收208使用读取界面以获取添加软件包请求，下载安装程序209使用读取以获得设置安装规则请求，下载控制程序206使用读取界面以接收来自接收程序和安装程序的状态信息和错误信息。
/dev/download是可加载模块“设备驱动程序”，当系统启动时加载。(在一个实施方式中，它是Linux可加载模块)。Dl_lnit_module()是当加载模块时为得到控制的第一例行程序。它将：
1-分配用于存储下载类消息的下载缓冲区，(例如G2S或其它协议)。
2-将下载支持注册为Linux内核设备。
3-将用于与驱动程序通信的程序的读取队列初始化。
4-将用于被接收的软件包和设置安装规则的存储区域初始化。
一旦驱动程序被安装且初始化，所有进一步的活动将由ioctl控制，并将函数的入口点读入驱动程序。Ioctl入口点DL_ioctl()将处理通过从下载类接收的下载控制程序的所有系统管理点105的请求。DLjreadQ入口点服务所有读取请求，这些读取请求来自：
下载控制程序206，用于软件包状态和错误，
下载接收程序208，以传递添加软件包请求。
下载安装程序209，以接收设置安装规则请求。
图4描绘了/dev/download驱动程序初始化的逻辑流。在步骤401，初始化读取队列区域和信号。在步骤402初始化软件包，设置安装规则数据结构。在步骤403，在系统注册驱动程序，并在步骤404系统返回。
一旦/dev/download驱动程序被安装且被初始化，dl_ioctl()驱动程序207用作对于下载控制程序206、接收程序208、以及安装程序209的界面。所有来自系统管理点105的请求传送通过下载控制程序206，并可以传至待处理的驱动程序207，或者，在模块请求和记录请求的情况下，在下载控制程序206自身内被进行处理。dl_ioctl()是命令ID以确定如何处理特定的请求。图5是流程图，示出验证下载请求的例行程序，并将控制传到适当的处理程序函数。
在图5中示出的步骤501中，检测设置命令ID的特定交换机，使得来自SMP 105的请求可被路由至正确的处理程序。向DL_Packages502提供添加和删除软件包命令。设置和删除安装规则被传至DL_Install 503。设置状态、检索状态、检索列表命令被发送至DL_Status504。注册程序被发送至块505，在块中保存注册程序的程序标识符。未知命令返回506中的错误事件。
与前述的下载和配置程序相关的多种操作的安排和管理通过图6A和图6B中示出的用户界面(UI)得以实现。一般来说，UI 610适用于显示在显示设备上，例如显示屏、CRT、电脑屏幕、电视、手持显示器、PDA等。在一个实施方式中，UI 610根据存储在电脑可读取媒介(例如上述与图1至图5关联的处理器)上的指令或可执行代码实现。UI 610使用户能够显示关于连接至网络的已选择设备的操作信息，特别是关于显示在用户界面上的安排的操作，以及控制操作的安排，例如其开始时间和注销。
在一个实施方式中，提供一个系统，其一般包括设备网络，如EGM、显示设备、连接至设备网络和显示设备的处理器，并且系统被配置为生成在显示设备上用于显示和用户管理网络操作的UI 610(在图6A和图6B中示出)。UI 610包括分配界面，每个分配界面提供关于关联的操作的信息；日历界面，分配界面显示在日历界面上，日历界面至少提供日期和时间信息。
如在图6A和图6B中示出的UI 610包含在显示区域612中，显示区域612包括日历界面614和在其上显示的多个分配界面616。理想情况下，日历界面614包括至少一个时间轴头部618，提供日期或时间或两者均提供。在示出的实施方式中，时间轴618水平地横向设置在日历界面614的顶部上，日历界面614具有垂直线619，垂直线619穿过界面614与时间轴618中描绘的小时成一直线。
显示区域612还包括位于左侧的柱状菜单620、横向设置在顶部上的Windows风格的工具栏622、以及横向设置在底部的水平状态栏624，从而部分地构造了日历界面614。
第一工具栏622下方直接是UI工具栏626，UI工具栏626水平地呈现在时间轴618上。该UI工具栏626包括三个过滤器628、630、632以及取消作业按钮634。
第一过滤器628是呈现为窗口形式的缩放功能，允许操作员控制在时间轴618上显示多少细节。选择可包括：小时、天、以及周视图。
第二过滤器630是呈现为窗口形式的日期范围功能，允许用户指定在应显示的当前时间和日期之前和之后的多长时间。选择包括：仅今天、加上或减去一天、加上或减去一周、加上或减去一个月。用户将使用报告查看在一个月范围之外的过去的活动。可生成用于显示并打印在纸上的报告，以及用于上述列出的日期范围内的活动的报告。
第三过滤器632是也呈现为窗口形式的作业状态功能，允许用户仅示出与状态标准相匹配的作业或分配。这里的选择包括：所有的、有效的、运行中的、未定的。
取消作业按钮634激活功能，能够使用户为取消而选择未完成注销的分配。
每个分配界面616以示出每个相关操作的开始时间的方式呈现在日历界面614上。理想情况下，有区别的颜色例如浅绿色的垂直栏637指示当前时间作为参考。垂直栏637垂直于时间轴618，如图6A和图6B所示。在所描绘的实施方式中，每个分配界面616被描绘为矩形的盒，盒的左垂直线与时间轴618上示出的开始时间的垂直位置定位成一直线。分配界面616的内部636包括与操作相关的分配标识符638，如图7的放大视图中所示。
日历界面614的全部内容可在任何方向上滚动，然而，当垂直滚动时，显示日期和小时的头部时间轴618将总是保持可见。
优选地，分配界面616是颜色编码的，以指示其状态。开始时间由位于左端菱形642上的垂直黑色栏640指示。如果分配是覆盖，则由水平线644指示覆盖持续期间，水平线644延伸至具有第二菱形646的终结符。在图7所示的这个范例中，存在会导致错误的3小时的配置覆盖。
将鼠标光标悬停在分配界面616上将引出工具提示648，如图6A和6B中所示。工具提示提供关于与分配界面616相关操作的额外细节。在工具提示中可提供比图7的屏幕截图所示的更多细节，例如由与该分配界面616相关操作影响的EGM汇总。
在图7的屏幕截图中显示两个独特的概念。第一是涉及操作的链接，例如复现的预定分配，第二是运行基于模板的多个操作的分配界面。
图6A和图6B中示出的水平呈现的分配界面616的第一行表现了操作的复现进度。每条水平的曲线链接线652是可视的关系指示或图符，其链接先前的分配界面654与下一个发生的分配界面656。此处，链接线652从第一分配界面654的终端或结束处延伸至随后的分配界面656的开端或开始处。
在周一约早上3:30处示出的多作业分配界面模板652表示按顺序进行两个操作而建立的分配。在这种情况下示出两个下载，但其可能是这样的下载，即，跟随有配置或两个或多个操作的任意组合。垂直指向的曲线链接线653链接相关的分配模板652、655。
可配置分配界面616使得分配界面616安排描述如何进行的一个或多个操作模板。这样，可以在不同的时间或由不同的EGM共享关于配置什么或下载什么的有效指令，而不进行笨拙的复制步骤。
双击或打开分配界面616将打开类似于可扩展网格的细节窗口，但仅聚焦于所讨论的操作。在配置的情况下，操作员或用户将能看到每个EGM或每个选项的独立状态。其中两个或多个可被立刻打开以辅助比较结果。
分配界面616以保持紧凑显示但同时又避免重叠的方式被定位在或放置在日历界面614上。理想情况下，安排在感兴趣的时间周期内的所有复现的操作将在如图所示的日历界面614的顶部附近显示，使得它们水平对齐。然后，每个操作将以开始时间顺序发生，并显示在日历界面614的顶部左角开端处。每个紧接的分配界面616被定位在已显示的一行之下的一行，直至开始时间向前移至足够远，使得下一个紧接的分配界面616能以新列的方式呈现而不会覆盖先前的分配界面。这时，当前的行被重置于顶部并且分配界面616的下一列再开始。
上述的多种实施方式能够结合以提供另外的实施方式。本说明书所指的和/或列在申请数据表中的所有美国专利、美国专利申请出版物、美国专利申请、外国专利、外国专利申请和非专利出版物，包括但不限于[插入表(insert 1ist)]，此处通过引用将其全部内容并入本文。实施方式的特征可以修改，如果需要，可使用多种专利、申请、出版物的概念以提供另外的实施方式。
例如，每个分配界面矩形616可包括一个或多个进度指示，进度指示将实时显示多少操作已完成。由于操作可包括多于一个的EGM，示出的百分比可以是所有EGM的完成平均百分比，或完成最少的一个EGM的完成百分比(为了给操作员一些概念，即完成它还需要多长时间来)或一些其它有用的完成的测量。UI 610还将提供一些明显的指示，即操作具有一些种类的错误，操作员或用户将能够选择指示，例如用鼠标设备点击指示从而查看错误的细节。
根据上述详细的说明书可对实施方式进行更改。一般来说，在以下的权利要求书中，所使用的术语不应该被解释为将权利要求限制于说明书和权利要求书中公开的具体实施方式，而应解释为包括所有可能的实施方式连同与这些权利要求中给予的权利相等的全部范围。因此，本公开不限制权利要求书。
Claims (29)
1.一种用于管理具有两个或两个以上游戏设备的游戏网络的系统，包括：
具有两个或多于两个的游戏设备的游戏网络；
显示器；以及
系统管理点，与耦合到所述游戏网络的所述两个或多于两个的游戏设备相分离，并与所述游戏网络和所述显示器连接，所述系统管理点被配置为在所述显示器上生成用户界面，所述用户界面允许用户显示所述游戏网络的操作，并且控制所述两个或多于两个的游戏设备的预定操作的安排，所述用户界面包括：
多个分配界面，每个所述分配界面提供与相关预定操作关联的信息，所述预定操作由所述两个或多于两个的游戏设备中的至少一个来执行；
日历界面，显示所述分配界面，并至少提供用来执行至少一个关联的预定操作的日期信息和时间信息；以及
图形链接指示，提供所述多个分配界面中的至少两个之间的相关可视信息。
2.如权利要求1所述的系统，其中所述分配界面提供与分配标识符、操作状态、错误指示和开始时间中的至少一个相关的信息。
3.如权利要求1所述的系统，其中所述分配界面提供与耦接至网络的已选游戏设备相关的信息。
4.如权利要求1所述的系统，其中所述分配界面包括用户激活的工具提示。
5.如权利要求1所述的系统，其中所述日历界面包括：
时间轴，所述时间轴至少显示日期或时间；以及
图形指示，插在所述时间轴上以至少指示出当前日期或时间。
6.如权利要求5所述的系统，其中所述日历界面、分配界面和图形链接指示能够被滚动，而在滚动期间所述时间轴保持可视。
7.如权利要求1所述的系统，其中，所述用户界面还包括工具栏，所述工具栏显示至少一个过滤器，所述至少一个过滤器用于控制以下至少之一：
分配的显示细节；
所显示的日期范围或时间范围；以及
操作状态。
8.如权利要求7所述的系统，其中所述工具栏还包括取消选择，能够使用户取消所选分配。
9.如权利要求1所述的系统，其中用于随时间复现的操作的分配界面在所述日历界面的顶部区域水平地显示，用于不随时间复现的操作的分配界面以列格式显示在所述用于复现操作的分配界面下方。
10.一种提供用户界面的方法，所述用户界面用于管理具有两个或多于两个的游戏设备的游戏网络，包括：
通过用户界面来沿时间线轴示出时间线，所述时间线轴具有至少表示日期或时间的信息，所述用户界面由系统管理点生成，所述系统管理点与耦合到所述游戏网络的所述两个或多于两个的游戏设备相分离，并被配置为允许用户显示所述游戏网络的操作，并且控制所述两个或多于两个的游戏设备的预定操作的安排；以及
对于由所述两个或多于两个的游戏设备所执行的多个预定操作中的每个操作，在所述用户界面上示出分配图符，所述分配图符的开始点设置在沿所述时间线轴的点上，该点表示由所述分配图符代表由所述两个或多于两个的游戏设备所执行的预定操作被安排开始的时间。
11.如权利要求10所述的方法，还包括：
对于随时间重新出现的操作中的、由两个或多于两个的游戏设备执行的至少两个操作，示出在至少两个分配图符之间的链接图符，可视地表示与所述至少两个分配图符相关联的随时间复现的至少两个所述预定操作之间的相关连接。
12.如权利要求11所述的方法，其中，示出代表随时间重复出现的至少两个预定操作的所述分配图符之间的链接图符包括：
示出从至少接近所述分配图符中的第一图符结束处延伸至至少接近所述分配图符中的第二图符的开始处的线。
13.如权利要求10所述的方法，还包括：
对于逻辑连接的至少两个操作，示出代表逻辑连接的所述至少两个预定操作的分配图符之间的多操作链接图符。

响应于将光标设置在选择的分配图符上，示出与所述选择的分配图符相关的预定操作的至少一方面的详细信息。
