背景技术
组合腕带/标签表单已经在业务表单和医疗领域中变得熟知，并且通过发明人在这里的革新成果以及通过为其受让人的公司的其它人的革新成就而在商业上取得了巨大的成功。已经取得重大商业成功的创造性腕带/标签表单的例子可以在已经被颁发的仅仅少数代表性美国专利中找到，并且为此多个专利申请处于审查中。例如，参见已颁发的美国专利No.7017293；7017294；7047682；7222448；和7325347。

关于已存在的安装基座，要考虑的又一因素是腕带费用问题。对于许多使用者，它们的较老的热敏打印机继续工作良好并且它们不愿意花费金钱来升级到较新的热敏打印机，更不用说激光打印机。由于对这些使用者来说成本是个问题，因此，由于该表单的构造比简单的非层合腕带更复杂并且因此更昂贵的原因，将阻碍采用被描述的且在图1中示出的表单，即使该表单可制成两英寸格式。虽然较大的可靠性、对更换腕带的减小的需要和其它因素如果被充分考虑将证明更复杂的表单的价值超过合理价值，许多使用者就是不能克服初始费用并排他地使用该因素来确定购买哪种腕带。

具体实施方式
具有自层合腕带的四英寸联合热表单已经在上面被描述，并且是通过颁发的数个专利和未决的其它专利受专利保护的好的且有价值的发明，所有这些专利已经转让给其受让人。这种表单已经取得了巨大的商业成功并且代表对现有技术的重要改进。
本发明由接下来的数个图中示出的优选实施例例示。图2描绘单个两英寸联合热表单/组件200，但应当理解，优选地，这些表单/组件设置成以扇状折叠条材的形式在它们的较窄端部首尾相连地连接以备供给到热敏打印机的喉部中。为了清楚起见，示出单个表单，但多个表单将典型地通过分离相邻表单的弱线202连接。弱线202可以是穿孔线、模切或其它类似类型的构造，它将允许相邻表单在被热敏打印机处理后容易分离，但它将足够强以在打印之前、打印期间和打印之后以扇状折叠条材的形式将表单保持在一起。如在这里使用的，术语模切、穿孔、弱线意指包括本领域技术人员认为适当的任何其它术语。

沿表单200的长度纵向延伸的模切216将底部区域或腕带204从底部或标签区域218分离。在图2中，标签区域218具有由多个模切222形成的多个自粘附标签220。标签220占据标签区域218的全部，因此消除浪费。替代地，一系列模切(未示出)可用于限定如对本领域技术人员来说将显然的仅由标签区域218的总尺寸限制的任何设计选择的一系列分离的标签。如上所述，术语模切应当理解为包括如典型地以这些类型被使用的其它类似弱线，诸如穿孔等。
如图3中示出的，同样的腕带204占据表单200的顶部区域的全部，但是为标签区域218示出不同实施例。模切224围绕标签区域218的外围延伸，其上边界226和下边界228具有沿其间隔开的一系列成对的缺口230。在分离腕带204时，可以从上边界226中的一个缺口230到底边界228中的另一个缺口230便于地撕开标签区域，因此按尺寸形成任何希望长度的标签、不同长度的多个标签等。实际上，虽然有点不大便于，但使用者可从一个缺口到从第一个缺口偏移的另一缺口撕开，因此产生具有倾斜端部的标签。此外，可以提供以任何希望排列的成对缺口以允许预先指定的标签长度或设计。虽然缺口已经被描绘为基本上为圆整的“V”形，但在希望沿上和下边界产生弱点的情况下可以便于地使用其它形状。
虽然在其优选实施例中，联合热表单发明被描述为具有两英寸的标称宽度或高度，但在更广泛的意义上，考虑到本发明的其它新颖的且可取得专利的特征，本发明不应当被认为如此受限制。
虽然已经在这里以优选实施例的形式描述了本发明的主要优点和特征，但本领域技术人员依靠本公开的教导可以容易地确定本发明的变型或改进型并且那些变型和特征应当被认为是本发明的一部分。例如，虽然优选实施例被公开为在腕带和标签之间基本上相等地划分的优选地具有两英寸的标称宽度，但那不意图是精确的或限制尺寸(除了如它将在权利要求中被列举那样)，仅意图充分地全面确定尺寸以便由热敏打印机处理。公开的材料是优选的，但也可以使用其它材料。保护涂层或层片可添加到表单而不偏离构思的精神。因此，本发明意图仅由附加到它的权利要求和它们的合法等同物的范围限制。

Claims (22)

1.一种多个打印机可处理的腕带/标签组件的条材，所述腕带/标签组件在它们的端部连接到相邻的腕带/标签组件，以形成具有分离相邻组件的弱线的所述条材，所述腕带/标签组件中的每一个包括：两个区域，即腕带区域和标签区域，所述腕带区域包括延伸该组件的全部长度的全长腕带且基本上包括该腕带区域的全部，所述标签区域包括基本上延伸该组件的全部长度的标签区域；和弱线，该弱线分离所述腕带区域和所述标签区域，从而便于它们彼此容易分离。
