960,859. Attaching articles to the person. ALFA PLASTIC PRODUCTS Ltd., and D.T. ARGENT. Dec. 19, 1962 [Dec. 19, 1961], No. 45557/61. Heading A3H. [Also in Division B8] An identification strap for attachment to a limb comprises a band 1 of flexible material to which at one end two superimposed pieces of material 3, 4 are secured along their longitudinal edges to provide a pair of open-ended pockets, one superimposed on the other with the material 3 forming a common dividing wall. As shown the material 3 comprises one end of the band and the pocket mouths 7, 5, 8, 6 are displaced by different amounts from this end. An enlarged portion of the band is covered with a transparent window piece 10 secured by welding around all four edges and a slot in the band permits insertion of an identification slip 13. In use the band 1 is passed around a part of the person to be identified and the pointed end 14 passed through the lower pocket, entering it at mouth 5 and leaving it at mouth 6. The band is then doubled back and passed through the outer pocket, entering at mouth 8 and leaving it at mouth 7 as shown in Fig. 3.
