Abstract

Description

具有周边可调气流的气环
技术领域
本发明涉及在热挤压塑料薄膜由环形挤压模具挤压成形之后向其供应冷却气体的气环(air ring)。
背景技术
过去已经提出了许多不同类型的气环,例如参见其内容通过引用并入本文的、于1998年9月8日授权的第5804221号美国专利(Planeta等人),该专利描述了对位于不同周边位置的气流进行控制以调节挤塑薄膜的规格(厚度)。但是,由于对由具有不同物理性质的不同塑料材料制成的高质量薄膜的需求不断增加,需要在不同周边位置具有改进的气流控制。
因此,本发明的目的在于提供一种气环,其使得能够以改进的方式控制不同周边位置的气流。
发明内容
根据本发明,提供了一种气环,包括:环形本体,其在使用中围绕已离开所述挤压模具的热管状塑料薄膜,所述环形本体具有环形充气室,来自外部源的气体供应至所述充气室;一系列周边延伸的分离的气道,所述气道与所述充气室连通,用于接纳来自所述充气室的冷却气体,并且所述气道径向向内延伸至各个分离的孔,在所述气环的使用过程中,所述分离的孔靠近并围绕所述热管状薄膜;以及分离的调节器,用于单独控制从所述充气室到各个气道和相关孔的气体流动,从而来自各个孔的气流基本独立于来自其它孔的气流地撞击到所述管状薄膜的不连续的周边延伸部分上。
所述环形本体也可具有接纳来自所述充气室的气体的环形气道,所述环形气道径向向内延伸至环形孔,所述环形孔在使用中位于所述管状薄膜附近。
所述一系列周边延伸的分离的气道和相关的孔可由所述环形本体的附件形成,所述分离的气道接纳来自所述环形气道的冷却气体,所述调节器控制从所述环形气道到各个分离的气道的冷却气体的流动。因此,本发明可由适当的现有气环改型而成。
所述环形本体的下侧可固定有一系列周边延伸的径向向内定向的附件,所述附件与所述环形本体协同工作,以形成气室和所述气道,所述环形本体在其底部中具有一系列周边延伸的孔,所述孔在所述气室与所述通道之间提供连通,所述相关的调节器具有可滑动地安装在其中且位于所述孔附近的阀部件,从而所述阀部件的运动控制所述孔的尺寸,以改变流至所述相关的孔的气流。
根据本发明的气环可以是单独的气环、位于次气环下方的主气环、或者位于主气环上方的次气环。同样,也可同时在主气环和次气环中使用本发明。

具体实施方式
首先参照附图中的图1和图2,设置有主气环12和次气环14,以对由环形挤压模具18挤压之后的管状塑料薄膜16进行冷却。另外,还设置有内部膜泡冷却设备20。主气环12具有公知的构造,并包括环形本体22,环形本体22的径向内边缘部分安装在挤压模具18的顶部上。形成了充气室26的环形壳24围绕并固定至环形本体22的径向外边缘。充气室26由外部源(未示出)供应冷却气体,冷却气体在径向向内的方向上从充气室26通过气环本体22的环形通路28传递到环形孔30,环形孔30位于本体22的邻近管状薄膜16的径向内边缘,从而来自孔30的气体能够在薄膜16的附近向上流动,如箭头A所示。内部膜泡(bubble)冷却设备20同样具有公知的构造,来自其的冷却气体在管状薄膜16的内侧上向上移动,如箭头B所示。
根据本发明实施方案的次气环14以公知的方式安装在主气环12上方并与之间隔的位置处,优选地,刚好位于管状薄膜16的冷线(frostline)下方,如本领域技术人员容易理解的那样。次气环14具有环形本体32,环形本体32具有形成了充气室26、并围绕且固定至环形本体32的径向外边缘的环形壳34,充气室26由外部源(未示出)供应冷却气体。气体从充气室26流入环形本体32中的环形气室38中。
一系列周边延伸的径向向内定向的附件40固定至环形本体32的下侧。各个附件40与环形本体32协同工作,以形成气室42、以及从气室42延伸至环形本体32和附件40的径向内边缘处的孔46的气道44。环形本体32在其底部具有一系列周边延伸的孔48,各个孔48提供了气室38与气室42之间的连通。同样,各个附件40携带有阀部件50,阀部件50可滑动地安装在附件40中,并可在孔48附近垂直运动。各个阀部件50的垂直运动由一系列周边延伸的遥控致动器52中对应的一个来控制,致动器52操作以使得各个阀部件50调节孔48的尺寸,并因此调节从气室38到达气室42和随后到达孔46的气体量。致动器52可具有适当的类型,例如电机或压电电机、双金属致动器、螺管线圈、压力调节器或流量阀。
因此,来自充气室36和气室38的、从次气环14的各个孔46流动的冷却气体的量可借助于各个遥控致动器52基本独立于来自其它孔的气流来进行调节。这种调节可对于特定类型的被挤压薄膜进行预编程,或者可响应于由环形厚度传感器(其未示出,但对于本领域技术人员是公知的)检测的薄膜厚度的周边变化来进行自动调节。由于对来自孔46的冷却气体量的调节而造成的膜泡16的半径在任何特定周边位置处从R1增加至R2,将使得膜泡16在该位置处具有较小的厚度。应该注意到,来自各个孔46的冷却气体与来自主气环12的冷却气体融合,以形成如箭头C所示的冷却气体流。
现在将描述各种其它的可选结构。在图4所示的结构中,主气环12而不是上面所述的次气环设置有附件40和致动器52。另外,省略了内部膜泡冷却设备。主气环12的环形本体22中设置有孔48。此外,主气环12的径向内边缘进行了修改,以提供两个环形孔54、56而不是图1所示的单个环形孔30。次气环60具有提供了充气室66的环形壳64,环形本体68具有气室70,气室70具有通向两个孔74、76的气道72。
除了省略了次气环之外,图4所示的结构与图3所示的结构类似。除了省略了环形孔54之外,图5与图4类似。除了设置有内部膜泡冷却设备20之外,图6与图4相同。
根据以上对优选实施方案的描述,本领域技术人员将能够清晰地认识到本发明的有益效果。其它的实施方案也将是显而易见的。例如,主气环和次气环都可根据本发明构建。尤其应该注意到,通过向现有气环固定附件40、致动器52和阀部件50并在现有气环中设置孔48,本发明可由适当的现有气环进行改型。例如,如上述实施方案所示,孔48可设置在现有气环的底部中,而附件40可固定至该气环的底部。本发明的范围在所附权利要求中描述。

Claims (8)

1.一种气环,用于当热挤压塑料薄膜在升高的温度下由环形挤压模具挤压成形之后向其供应冷却气体,所述气环包括:
环形本体,其在使用中围绕已离开所述挤压模具的热管状塑料薄膜,所述环形本体具有环形充气室,来自外部源的气体供应至所述充气室;
一系列周边延伸的分离的气道,所述气道与所述充气室连通,用于接纳来自所述充气室的冷却气体,并且所述气道径向向内延伸至各个分离的孔,在所述气环的使用过程中,所述分离的孔靠近并围绕所述热管状薄膜;以及
多个分离的调节器,用于单独控制从所述充气室到各个气道和相关孔的气体流动,从而来自各个孔的气流以基本独立于来自其它孔的气流的方式撞击到所述管状薄膜的不连续的周边延伸部分上。
2.如权利要求1所述的气环,其中,所述本体还具有接纳来自所述充气室的气体的环形气道,所述环形气道径向向内延伸至环形孔,所述环形孔在使用中位于所述管状薄膜附近。
3.如权利要求2所述的气环,其中,所述一系列周边延伸的分离的气道和相关的孔由所述环形本体的附件形成,所述分离的气道接纳来自所述环形气道的冷却气体,所述致动器控制从所述环形气道到各个分离的气道的冷却气体的流动。
4.如权利要求3所述的气环,其中,所述环形本体的下侧固定有一系列周边延伸的径向向内定向的附件,所述附件与所述环形本体协同工作,以形成气室和所述气道,所述环形本体在其底部中具有一系列周边延伸的孔,所述孔在所述气室与所述通道之间提供连通,所述相关的调节器具有可滑动地安装在其中且位于所述孔附近的阀部件,从而所述阀部件的运动控制所述孔的尺寸,以改变流至所述相关的孔的气流。
5.一种塑料薄膜挤压组件,其包括用于挤压管状塑料薄膜的环形挤压模具和根据前述任一项权利要求所述的气环,所述气环围绕位于所述挤压模具上方的所述管状薄膜。
6.如权利要求5所述的薄膜挤压组件,其中,根据前述任一项权利要求所述的气环是主气环,而次气环设置在所述主气环上方。
7.如权利要求5所述的薄膜挤压组件,其中,根据前述任一项权利要求所述的气环是位于主气环上方的次气环。
8.如权利要求5所述的薄膜挤压组件,其中,根据前述任一项权利要求所述的主气环位于所述挤压模具的上方,而根据前述任一项权利要求所述的次气环位于所述主气环的上方。
