本发明涉及一种安全气囊模块。
一种用于车辆的安全气囊模块通常具有安全气囊和安全气囊气体发生器。安全气囊和安全气囊气体发生器位于安全气囊壳体内,其安装在车辆的一部分上。壳体具有开口,安全气囊通过该开口展开。盖板放置在该开口上方。盖板可具有撕裂缝,当安全气囊充气时该撕裂缝撕裂以允许安全气囊通过壳体的撕裂盖板展开。
盖板通常通过铆钉、支架或其它用于附连的复杂装置附连到壳体上。用于附连的装置必须牢固地将盖板附连到壳体上。由于这些用于附连的装置的复杂性,将盖板附连到壳体上要花费时间。此外,这些用于附连的装置使得从壳体上移除盖板变得困难。因此,维修安全气囊模块也可能花费太多时间。
此外,当安全气囊模块作为单元安装到车辆内时,壳体通常安装到车辆上的一个位置,且盖板安装到车辆上另一个位置。因为盖板和壳体附连在不同位置,如果安装点不在它们应该在的地方,可能将安全气囊模块安装到车辆上会变得困难。
因此需要一种安全气囊模块,其允许安全气囊盖板和安全气囊壳体的快速且简单的安装和/或移除,同时提供足够的公差以允许安全气囊盖板和安全气囊壳体在不同的附连点安装到车辆上。根据权利要求1的安全气囊模块符合该要求。

图1-4示出了安全气囊模块10的视图。安全气囊模块10具有安全气囊盖板22和安全气囊壳体14。如图2-4所示,安全气囊12装进安全气囊壳体14内。安全气囊12与安全气囊气体发生器16相通,安全气囊12还设置在安全气囊壳体14内。安全气囊气体发生器16由控制单元20以已知方式控制。一旦探测到足够剧烈的车辆碰撞,安全气囊气体发生器16为安全气囊12充气以引起它在箭头P的方向展开通过安全气囊壳体14的开口18。如图1、3和4所示,安全气囊盖板22具有撕裂缝24,其允许安全气囊模块12在安全气囊展开期间通过安全气囊盖板22的撕裂。本发明的这些特征是众所周知的。
过去,安全气囊盖板22通过复杂的连接件、如支架或铆钉附连到安全气囊壳体14上。尽管这些类型的连接特征允许安全气囊盖板22到安全气囊壳体14的可靠附连,但是这些特征使得安全气囊盖板22在安全气囊壳体14上的安装耗费时间。此外,它们不便于安全气囊盖板22从安全气囊壳体14移除。与现有设计相反,本发明安全气囊模块10使用唯一的连接件26,其包括孔隙30和突出体34。如图1、3和4所示孔隙30较佳地位于安全气囊模块22上,而突出体34较佳地位于安全气囊壳体14上。但是,同样突出体34可放置在安全气囊盖板22上,孔隙30在安全气囊壳体14上。
因为安全气囊盖板22由柔性材料、如塑料制成,所以安全气囊盖板上的孔隙30也是柔性的。安全气囊壳体14通常是坚硬的,使得突出体34可由同样坚硬的材料制成。如将看出的那样,孔隙30可在突出体34上方伸展以快速地将安全气囊盖板22安装到安全气囊壳体14上。孔隙30在较大尺寸开口和较小尺寸开口之间伸缩。通过可伸缩,盖板的孔隙30可在安装时在突出体34上伸展。然后孔隙30回到较小尺寸以将它们环绕突出体34固定。为了将孔隙从突出体脱开,孔隙伸展到较大尺寸并然后从突出体脱下。该设计大大地方便了盖板从安全气囊壳体的安装和移除。
如图3所示,安全气囊盖板22设置在安全气囊壳体14的开口18上方。孔隙30与相应的突出体对齐。如图1和2所示,安全气囊盖板22具有六个孔隙30,而如图2所示,安全气囊壳体14具有六个突出体34来与六个孔隙30啮合。可提供更多或更少的孔隙30和突出体34来适合任何特定应用和任何尺寸的安全气囊模块。
如图5-7所示,每个突出体34具有三个部分:第一部分38、第二部分42和第三部分46。第一部分38从安全气囊壳体14的表面36垂直地延伸。如图5-7所示,第二部分42在箭头A的方向从第一部分3 8横向地、从这里垂直地延伸。第三部分46在箭头B的方向(与箭头A的方向大致相反的方向)从第一部分38横向地、并垂直地延伸。
如图5所示,为了将安全气囊盖板22安装到安全气囊壳体14上,第三部分46放置在孔隙30内。如图所示,在该点,孔隙30具有第二个孔隙尺寸D2,这是孔隙30的放松大小。如图6所示,如果在箭头Z的方向拉动安全气囊盖板22,孔隙的侧面64挡住突出体34且孔隙30将从尺寸D2伸展到更大的第一孔隙尺寸D1,这是非放松状态的尺寸。第一孔隙尺寸D1是比突出体尺寸Dp大的尺寸,其正好是跨过第二部分42和第一部分38的厚度T的距离。这是孔隙30需要膨胀以配合在第二部分42和第一部分38上的最小距离。
如图6所示,当在箭头Z的方向拉动盖板22到该第一孔隙尺寸D1时,孔隙30可跳过突出体34的第二部分42以采取图7所示的位置。在该点,伸展和未放松的孔隙30,可被允许放松并收缩到第二尺寸D2,其较佳地小于尺寸Dp。这样,孔隙30被固定在箭头A和箭头B两者的方向上。
如图8-9所示,第二孔隙尺寸D2在大小上较佳地大于第一部分38的厚度T。这样做时,孔隙30及因此安全气囊盖板22允许具有空间以在箭头A或B的方向上移动而不引起孔隙30从突出体34脱离。该设计因而允许安全气囊盖板22相对于安全气囊壳体14上下移动而不将安全气囊盖板22从安全气囊壳体14脱离。因为安全气囊盖板22相对于安全气囊壳体14一定程度地自由移动,安全气囊盖板22可以更大的自由度安装在车辆的一位置,而安全气囊壳体14可安装到另一位置而不将安全气囊盖板22从安全气囊壳体14分开。即有空间将安全气囊壳体14相对于安全气囊盖板22移动以便于安全气囊模块10安装在汽车内。此外,该特征允许许多本发明的安全气囊模块22彼此堆叠而不引起安全气囊盖板22从安全气囊壳体14脱开。
图10示出了本发明安全气囊连接件66的另一版本。这里,安全气囊连接件66包括孔隙30和突出体68。第二突出体68具有相对于第一部分38以角θ设置的第二突出体42,而第三部分46以角β(比θ大的角)设置。该特定突出体68允许安全气囊盖板22在箭头E或箭头C的方向相对于安全气囊壳体14有更大量的移动自由度。

Claims (10)

1.一种安全气囊模块(10),包括:
安全气囊壳体(14),具有用于展开安全气囊(12)的开口(18);
盖板(22),用于覆盖所述开口(18);
连接件,用于将所述盖板(22)附连到所述安全气囊壳体(14)上,所述连接件包括孔隙(30)和用于与所述孔隙(30)啮合的突出体(34),所述孔隙(30)位于所述安全气囊壳体(14)内或所述盖板(22)内,且所述突出体(34)在所述安全气囊壳体(14)和所述盖板(22)中不具有所述孔隙(30)的任何一个上;且
其中所述突出体(34)具有第一部分(38)、第二部分(42)和第三部分(46),所述第一部分(38)从所述安全气囊壳体(14)或所述盖板(22)的表面延伸,所述第二部分(42)从所述第一部分(38)横向延伸,且所述第三部分(46)从所述第一部分(38)横向延伸。
2.如权利要求1所述的安全气囊模块(10),其特征在于,所述第二部分(42)从所述第一部分(38)大致沿第一方向(A)横向延伸,且所述第三部分(46)从所述第一部分(38)大致沿不同于所述第一方向(A)的第二方向(B)横向延伸。
3.如权利要求2所述的安全气囊模块(10),其特征在于,所述第一方向(A)大致与所述第二方向(B)相反。
4.如权利要求1所述的安全气囊模块(10),其特征在于,所述孔隙(30)可在第一孔隙尺寸(D1)和第二孔隙尺寸(D2)之间伸缩,所述第一孔隙尺寸(D1)大于突出体尺寸(Dp)而所述第二孔隙尺寸(D2)小于突出体尺寸(Dp)。
5.如权利要求4所述的安全气囊模块(10),其特征在于,所述突出体尺寸(Dp)包括跨过所述第二部分(42)和所述第三部分(46)之一的距离和所述第一部分(38)的厚度。
6.如权利要求5所述的安全气囊模块(10),其特征在于,所述第二孔隙尺寸(D2)大于所述第一部分(38)的厚度。
7.如权利要求1所述的安全气囊模块(10),其特征在于,较之所述第三部分(46),所述第二部分从所述第一部分(38)延伸得更远。
8.如权利要求1所述的安全气囊模块(10),其特征在于,所述第二部分(42)从所述第一部分(38)大致沿着第一角(θ)延伸,且所述第三部分(46)从所述第一部分(38)大致沿着不同于所述第一角(θ)的第二角(β)延伸。
9.如权利要求1所述的安全气囊模块(10),其特征在于,包括置于所述安全气囊壳体(14)内的安全气囊(12)。
10.如权利要求1所述的安全气囊模块(10),其特征在于,当所述突出体(34)与所述孔隙(30)啮合时,所述孔隙(30)的一侧(64)接触所述第一部分(38)。
