Abstract
Un proceso de tratamiento para cristalizar un sulfato metálico que implica el tratamiento previo de una materia prima que comprende impurezas de calcio, magnesio y/o litio, en donde el tratamiento previo implica la lixiviación previa de la materia prima en presencia de un lixiviante, la extracción selectiva de una primera porción de cualquiera de las impurezas de la materia prima y la formación de una solución lixiviada que comprende un sulfato metálico no cristalizado y cualquier impureza restante; y/o la refinación de la solución lixiviada y eliminación de una segunda porción de cualquiera de las impurezas restantes; y la cristalización del sulfato metálico no cristalizado de la solución lixiviada para formar un sulfato metálico cristalizado. Así procesado, el sulfato metálico cristalizado puede ser de grado de batería o galvanoplastia.
