Abstract

Se proporcionan aquí composiciones de antibióticos inyectables para uso veterinario. Las composiciones se caracterizan por formar un gel a temperatura fisiológica de los animales, caracterizándose dicho gel por un perfil de liberación estable y repetible del antibiótico. Las composiciones comprenden una alta carga de fármaco en soluciones de poloxámero con adición de un co-solvente, y preferentemente con adición de un derivado de celulosa al menos parcialmente soluble en disolventes orgánicos. También se proporcionan métodos de tratamiento de infecciones veterinarias.
