LA PRESENTE DESCRIPCIÓN SE DIRIGE A UN PROCESO MEJORADO PARA CONVERTIR LA ASCOMICINA EN PIMECROLIMUS. LA ASCOMICINA TÉCNICA SE CLORA CON TRIFENILFOSFINA Y N-CLOROSUCCINIMIDA (NCS) PARA PRODUCIR PIMECROLIMUS CRUDO, QUE A CONTINUACIÓN SE PURIFICA ADICIONALMENTE MEDIANTE HPLC Y POSTERIOR CRISTALIZACIÓN. LOS PROCESOS DE LA PRESENTE DESCRIPCIÓN PERMITEN LA ELIMINACIÓN DE HOMÓLOGOS CERCANOS DE PIMECROLIMUS MEDIANTE CROMATOGRAFÍA LÍQUIDA DE ALTA PRESIÓN SIN PURIFICACIÓN PREVIA DEL MATERIAL DE PARTIDA DE ASCOMICINA. ESTA MEJORA PUEDE HACER QUE LA CONVERSIÓN DE ASCOMICINA A PIMECROLIMUS SEA APLICABLE INDUSTRIALMENTE Y MENOS COSTOSA.
