Abstract

LA PRESENTE INVENCIÓN TIENE RELACIÓN CON UN PROCESO MEJORADO PARA LA RECUPERACIÓN DE LITIO, DESDE COMPOSICIONES QUE TAMBIÉN CONTIENEN ALUMINIO. UN EJEMPLO DE TALES COMPOSICIONES METALÚRGICAS ES LA ESCORIA METALÚRGICA QUE ES OBTENIDA AL RECICLAR BATERÍAS DE IONES DE LITIO O SUS PRODUCTOS DERIVADOS, POR MEDIO DE UTILIZAR UN PROCESO DE FUNDICIÓN PIRO-METALÚRGICA. LA LIXIVIACIÓN ÁCIDA DE UNA ESCORIA DE ESTE TIPO, SEGUIDA DE UNA NEUTRALIZACIÓN PARA PRECIPITAR EL ALUMINIO CONDUCE A RENDIMIENTOS POBRES DE LITIO YA QUE EL LITIO TIENDE A CO-PRECIPITAR CON EL ALUMINIO. ES PRESENTADO UN PROCESO EN EL CUAL EL ALUMINIO ES SELECTIVAMENTE PRECIPITADO POR MEDIO DE UTILIZAR UNA FUENTE DE FOSFATO A UN PH CONTROLADO, PREFERIBLEMENTE ENTRE 3 Y 4.
