Abstract
La presente invención tiene relación con el campo de materiales sólidos para la adsorción de litio. En particular, la presente invención tiene relación con un nuevo método para la preparación de un material sólido cristalizado y conformado, preferentemente en forma extruida, de la fórmula (LiCl)x.2Al(OH)3,nH2O, donde n está entre 0.01 y 10, x está entre 0.4 y 1, donde comprende una etapa a) de precipitación de boehmita bajo condiciones específicas de temperatura y pH, una etapa de contactar el precipitado obtenido con LiCl, al menos una etapa de conformación de amasado por extrusión ácida, donde el método también comprende una etapa final de tratamiento hidrotérmico, todo lo cual hace posible aumentar la capacidad de adsorción de litio, las cinéticas de adsorción, como también la selectividad de litio/boro de los materiales obtenidos con respecto a los materiales de la técnica anterior, cuando son usados en un método de extracción de litio de soluciones salinas.
