Description

Headlights with electric counter mirror double lamp. In addition to the previous electric headlights, for example those commonly used in motor vehicles, detection or city lights are usually required. When the new headlight is used, they are no longer required because it supplies high-beam or scattered light as required.

An embodiment is illustrated schematically in the accompanying drawing in cross section.

In the axis of a large reflector c, two luminous bodies a and b are provided, of which one, a, is in the focal point of the main reflector c and at the same time in that of the piston counter-mirror d. The reflector d </ I> is. shaped in such a way that it forwards all the primary light rays reaching it from the luminous element a to the reflector c. The other luminous element b is located further away from the center e of the reflector c, deep in the counter reflector d, at a location that is both the center and focal point of the smaller, likewise spherically curved, bulb reflector g that adjoins the bulb neck f forms. He is.

arranged opposite the base h at the point at which a hatch-like, translucent point i is created by removing the central, in the case shown, conical part of the mirroring of the counter reflector d.

The light rays of the main filament mostly reach the large reflector c directly for the purpose of concentration, a further considerable part of the same only after reflection by the counter mirror d in the form of secondary rays. The rest can be easily followed through hatch i. Consequently, almost all of the rays of the luminous element a serve for more intensive long-range lighting. Without the hatch i and the bulb reflector, the rays in question would be lost in the dead space between the lamp and the main reflector.

The light generated by the secondary filament b shines partly directly through the hatch i with normal scattering to the front, partly it is more or less held together for the remote lighting under the action of all three reflectors.

In order to avoid ambiguity, only a few characteristic ray paths are entered in the drawing, namely for the purpose of mutual differentiation with regard to their origin by means of dissimilar lines. The beginning and end of the same are also highlighted by arrows.

With the help of known devices, the main and secondary lamps can be used individually or together. Instead of dimming the fierce high beam when driving in cities or during a break in the journey, the weaker light, which only consumes energy sparingly, is switched on alone. whose cheap-looking light enables driving in the city and, if necessary, on dark country roads. Instead of the luminous bodies a and h, two or more can be used.

PATENT CLAIM: Electric headlight with a reflector located outside an incandescent lamp, characterized by the fact that two individually and together switchable luminous bodies are arranged in a lamp bulb, which are axially shifted and each lie in the focal point of a mirror provided on the lamp bulb, the one in front Mirror has a light-permeable gap, the whole thing in such a way that the light rays, as far as they do not exit through the gap, are thrown by the mirrors towards the reflector.
