Les lames 36 de la cisaille sont fixées à des manches 37 qui sont montés sur des porte-lames réglables 40 (fig. 17 à. 20). 1:e réglage longitudinal des lamies 36 est ob tenu en enfoncant leurs ni.anclie;

Pour faire varier la rapidité avec laquelle les ca;ms sec- tiennent IL, Verre les tourillons 60 et 6.1, sur lesquels sont, montées les lames 36, sont ex- cenfr6s par rapport aux parties qui vont sup portées à. l'intérieur ;lu bâti, l'un des touril lons61 étant excentré vers le bas (fis. 27), tandis que l.'etcentra;

In the machine shown in the drawing. molten glass flows from a glass furnace into a channel -1. ending in a container. 2 which carries an orifice 3 for the couF @ e of the glass.
The patient is partially separated from the caial or duct by a septum or 1 rage 6 ^ raised above the normal level of the worm in the duct or duct.
The dam can be removed (s and the container 2 1-n sunk, or the level of the glass, can be raised in such a way that the glass can flow from the channel into the container, to better ensure the adjustment. of the casting of the glass, the device shown in the drawing is preferred. The level of the glass in the channel can, if desired, be regulated by means of a valve of adjustable height, placed near the melting furnace (not represented).
A pallet It acts periodically. on the glass in the channel to transfer a certain quantity of glass to the container 2 and thus regulates the level of the glass contained in the container from which the glass flows through the pouring hole 3 to moments corresponding .au .coup of the pallet 4. The pouring of the glass through the pouring orifice is still influenced by an auxiliary pusher 5. This secondary pusher - can be omitted so that the flow of the glass is sim plement adjusted by the height of the level of the glass to the container 2 which varies periodically.
The channel 1 and the container 2 are made of refractory materials and their bottom and sides are wrapped with a heat-insulating coating. except at the pouring orifice. The table 7 sup carries the channel 1 via .de refractory sup ports 8 -and is surmounted by two chairs 9 on which rests the box 10 which serves as a container and which is fixed thereto by means of bolts 12.
Also mounted on the chairs are adjusting screws 13 for pressing the adjustable container against the end of the channel, and removable drip trays 144 for collecting the cooling water dripping from the knives and sprayers.
The container is surmounted by a cover 15 (Fig. 7) which is lined with a ca lor-repellent casing 17 held in place by means of a metal plate 20. The pallet 4 passes through an opening in the cover 15 and 1a. plate \ _ '0. In the variant of. detail shown in fig. 6, this opening is.
enlarged enough so that the secondary button 5 can reciprocate through the opening. Another refractory cover 21. covers the channel 1. Suitable heating devices, such as a gas burner 22 with control valves 23 for the admission of gas and air. are arranged for the purpose. to be able to maintain a uniform temperature in the duct and in the container.
