La table e1 est pour vueà ses deux extrémités d'oreillesf, soli daires l'unede l'autre; ces oreilles ne, sont pas fixées au bâti c de la machine, mais simplement supportées par celui-ci, elles sont niaintenues à. leur place par des tigesg, ar ticulées en fIl sur les oreilles et guidées en b' dans des glissières h solidaires du bâti;
Grinding machine, fabric softener, textile shredder. The present invention relates to a machine intended to grind, soften and de-fiber textiles, in particular flax and hemp, retted and un-retted, and all other textile rods, of the type in which the textile material to to work is engaged in the form of a sheet, to be crushed, between, on the one hand, blades arranged along the generatrices of several parallel rotating cylinders, equidistant from an axis around the which they also perform a rotational movement, and, on the other hand,
a table presenting a part in an arc of a circle concentric with the cylindrical surface tangent to the exterior of these blades and itself provided with several fixed blades, having the same spacing as the blades of the rotating cylinders.
The machine according to the invention is characterized in that the bars arranged parallel to the generatrices of the cylinders and supported at their ends by endless chains, are driven by a continuous translational movement between the cylinders to </ B> blades and the blades of the table, behind the sheet of textile material, so that these bars push the material back in front of them and release it from the blades of the table, after it has been worked by the passage of one of the rotary cylinders, to be worked to again by the passage of the next cylinder to blades opposite the table.
The accompanying sheet of drawings shows, by way of example, one form of the arrangement of the chain according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is an axial vertical section, FIG. 2 is a similar view, schematically showing the control means of the endless chains of the apron of this machine; Fig. 3 is a partial side elevation view thereof, FIG. 4 is a side elevational view, showing a release device making it possible to change the direction of travel of the food rollers of the textile material and thus to bring back and release this material. after it has been worked at one of its ends.
The machine comprises a series, in any number, of cylinders a mounted on axes a 'supported at their ends by plates b, mounted on an axis b1 supported by the frame c. The axes a 'of the cylinders a are all located at the same distance from the axis b' and at an equal distance from each other. The cylinders a are provided with blades d arranged over the entire length of these cylinders. Outside the end plates b and centrically to them is arranged a toothed ring b2, fixed to the frame, in engagement with toothed pinions a 2, integral with the cylinders to blades, the pitch circle of the toothed pinions a 'is tangent to the primary circle of the ring gear b 2. The cylinder circumscribed to the blades d has the same reason that the pitch circle of the gears a2.
When, in any suitable manner, a rotational movement is communicated to the axis b1 of the cage formed by the plates b and the blade cylinders, the latter are animated by a movement of translation and in at the same time, as a result of the meshing of the toothed pinions a 2 fixed on the axes a 'with the internal gear crown b2 fixed to the frame, they receive a rotational movement around the axes a'.
During their planetary movement, the blades d of the cylinders a engage between the blades el, of the same spacing, of a table e, arranged, laterally with respect to to the cage b b1 b and having a part in an arc of a circle concentric to the cylindrical surface tangent on the outside to the blades d of the cylinders a. The el blades of the table are arranged parallel to the generatrices of the cylinders a and radially with respect to the axis b1 as the center.
Table e1 is for view at its two ends of the ears f, united to one the other; these ears are not fixed to the frame c of the machine, but simply supported by it, they are neither held in. their place by rods g, ar ticulated in thread on the ears and guided in b 'in the guides h integral with the frame;
the end of each rod comes to rest on the arm i of the lever i il, articulated in it; the -ë arm of this lever is held by a spring in. Under the action of these springs it, the table e it comes up against stops j, which thus limit the position of the table in relation to the cylinders with blades a. This arrangement allows the table to move back in the event that too great a thickness of textile material comes to to be engaged and thereby avoids material breakages and machine damage.
The stem textile material (flax, hemp, etc.) spread out on a table k is engaged in the form of a web between the feed cylinders kl, and is held by the cylinder k ', the lower half of the rods is located opposite the table e. As a result of the rotational movement of the blade cylinders. (7, combined with the rotational movement of the plates b carrying these cylinders a, they successively pass in front of the table e el, the blades d of the cylinders a grading with the blades and the table.
The material brought to the table is thus ground over a distance corresponding to the extent of the table e.
To release the material engaged between the blades or teeth and the table, one uses (fig. 2 and 3) bars n arranged parallel to the cylinders and supported at their ex hoppers by endless chains m (one on each side of the frame); these bars n in wood or metal, with a U or simply rectangular section, are spaced from each other, by a spacing corresponding to at the angle in the center a ' bl a', what do the axes a 'of the cy- linders to blades a, with the axis bl of the caze b bl b.
The chains m are supported by (the rollers ml and guided between the lower feed cylinder the ' and the upper part of the table e by a slide el, so to come to rest against the plates b, which are provided with a toothing V corresponding to the pitch of the chain, so as to drive that -ci at the same speed of translation as the cylinders a, during the rotation of these plates around of the axis bl-, the chains in leave the plates to come pass over the rollers in ', whose position is variable, and go up towards the roll A bar n arrives at the upper part of the table and engages between the plates b, at an equal distance between two cylinders a.
She pushes the textile material in front of her, and, in her passage in front of the table e e1, releases all the material caught between the blades and there table and shakes it so as to present it again. to the action of the blades of the following rotary cylinder, as it passes in front of the table. Each bar n corresponds to a bar o, in wood or metal, movable around an axis p supported by the plates b. The ground material is thus scraped between the bars n and the bars o, the spacing of which can be adjusted at will. This scraping produces the stripping of the material.
The machine is fitted with a double clutch allowing to change the direction of travel of the food rolls k1 k1, and, consequently, to bring back and release the textile material worked between the rolls. blade ad and table e el.
For this purpose, on the axis k2 of one of the feed cylinders k1 are mounted idle (fig. 4) two coupling sleeves with claws r and s, respectively secured to toothed pinions r1 and s', these are meshing with toothed pins, respectively r2 and s2, integral with return pulleys r3 and s' mounted idly on a return shaft k3; these pulleys are actuated, respectively by a direct belt and by a crossed belt, r4 and S4, by the same shaft li4, so as to be driven by a rotational movement of the same speed, but in the opposite direction, one compared to each other.
A clutch sleeve t, actuated by a lever to fork il, is mounted with long key in l 'on the axis k2 of the feed cylinder k1, so to be able to be brought into engagement with one or the other of the claw sleeves r and s; depending on the case, the food cylinder kl will thus be driven by a rotational movement introducing the textile material between the blades d el, or tending to remove it. This retrograde movement of the textile material causes an energetic action of the blade cylinders a d and the scraper bars o, in cooperation with the blades of the table e.
As the rods are hand held between the cylinders k1, the feet of these rods remain constantly at the same level without it being possible for these rods to slide relative to each other, either during their introduction into the machine, or when they are removed by rotating the cylinders ki1 clans the desired direction.
1-hen the textile material has been well worked on a. part of its length, it is withdrawn from the machine by operating the release lever 1 ', it is turned over and worked over the other part of its length, engaging it, < B> to again in the machine between, the food rolls kl kl. that Pon turns in the opposite direction by pushing back the release lever Il. in the opposite direction.
