Description

The invention relates to a connection tape and a mounting kit with a connection tape to achieve a sealing effect between a sanitary device and a wall. In particular, it is about a connection tape and a mounting kit for sanitary facilities such as bathtubs, shower trays and other sanitary installations.

Joints in the edge region of bathtubs lose their elasticity over time. In addition, subsidence movements can occur. This can cause cracks. There are numerous solutions in the form of sealing and connecting tapes that have been developed to provide a clean and tight transition, e.g. to create between a bathtub and an adjacent bathroom wall.

A part of the offered solutions is relatively expensive and complicated to assemble, since a number of different steps must be performed and instructions from the manufacturer must be adhered to in order to ultimately ensure the desired sealing effect permanently.

Unfortunately, some of these solutions are not properly assembled or damaged, e.g. at a later time a grout removed and injected new grout.

Examples of existing solutions are shown in the following list, which is not exhaustive: EP 0 748 179 B1 shows a tub belt which is designed as a frame for producing a wall termination; - EP 1 967 107 A2 shows a joint tape for sanitary facilities.

In addition to the mentioned difficulties that may occur during assembly and lead either directly or over a period of time to leaks, the subject of sound decoupling plays an increasingly important role.

In the sound decoupling is about the avoidance of so-called sound bridges. A sound bridge is an acoustic coupling e.g. between the bathtub and the building structure. The sound is basically the path of least resistance. A single non-sound-isolated connection between the tub and e.g. The wall is sufficient to transmit noises from the tub directly into the building structure and thus make it audible in other rooms. None of the previously known solutions meets the requirements in terms of sound decoupling in a reliable manner.

It is therefore the task of providing a connecting band and a corresponding mounting kit to achieve a reliable and durable sealing effect and sound decoupling. In addition, the corresponding solution should be less susceptible to mis-installation or manipulation.

According to the invention, a connecting band is provided, which is specially designed to create a transition along a horizontal longitudinal axis between a fixedly mounted sanitary device and a vertical wall portion. The connection strip comprises a wall-closure strip with a front surface facing away from the wall and a rear surface on the wall, wherein in the region of the front surface there is a first adhesive connection which serves to connect the wall-closure strip to a vertical surface (wall-parallel surface) of the sanitary device. The connection tape is characterized in that the wall finishing strip in an upper, strip-shaped area on both the front surface and on the back surface is specially designed (adhesion) to embed a double-sided embedding of this strip-shaped area in a composite seal, in mortar or in one (tiles -) to allow adhesive.

According to the invention, there is also provided a mounting kit for making a transition along a horizontal longitudinal axis between a fixedly mounted sanitary device (e.g., a bathtub) and a vertical wall section (e.g., a bathroom wall). The mounting kit comprises a connecting strap of the invention and a separate horizontal spacer strap. The horizontal spacer strip is designed as a strip-shaped means, which has a total length which corresponds approximately to the total length of the connecting band.
