The present invention relates to a timepiece control device, comprising a balance and a spiral mounted on the axis of the balance.
In devices of this type, the inner end of the hairspring is attached to a hoop driven on the axis of the balance beam, while the outer end of the hairspring is fixed to a fixing member, called "pin", independent of the rotation of the axis of the balance.
[0003] Several ways of fixing the outer end of the hairspring are known. A conventional way is to place this outer end in a hole provided for this purpose in the peak and then block by means of a pin or by gluing. This operation may in practice be difficult to perform, especially in cases where, for technical reasons or standardization, the peak is not adjustable in height. In these cases, in fact, a manual deformation operation of the outer end of the hairspring is often necessary to be able to position this outer end in the piton hole after the hairspring has been driven on the balance shaft, because the piton hole is rarely in its ideal position with respect to the ferrule.
In particular, such a deformation of the outer end of the hairspring must be generally operated to obtain a perpendicularity between the peak and the remainder of the hairspring. In addition to its tedious nature, this mode of connection of the hairspring to the pin, because it may require a deformation of the outer end of the hairspring, is unsuitable for spirals made of a brittle material such as silicon because this kind of material is not does not deform plastically.
Another way of fixing the outer end of the hairspring to the peg is described in EP 1 515 200. In this document, the outer end of the hairspring defines by its shape an elastic clamping member which receives and clamps the peak. This method of attachment is particularly simple and also allows to easily adjust the height of the outer end of the spiral on the peak. It nevertheless has the disadvantage that the mechanical characteristics of the elastic clamping member depend on the characteristics of the material in which the hairspring is made, the elastic clamping member forming a single piece with the remainder of the hairspring. The clamping force exerted on the pin and / or the deformation of the elastic clamping member are therefore limited by the mechanical properties of the spiral material.
Thus, for example, if the hairspring is made of a material having a low or medium elastic limit, such as silicon, the clamping force exerted by its outer end on the peak will be limited for a given size.
The present invention aims to remedy this drawback and proposes for this purpose a regulating device according to claim 1 attached, a movement according to claim 11 and a hairspring according to claim 12 particular embodiments being defined in the dependent claims .
Other features and advantages of the present invention will appear on reading the following detailed description with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:
<tb> fig. 1 <sep> is a perspective view from above of a regulating device according to the invention,
<tb> fig. 2 <sep> is a plan view from above of a portion of the regulating device according to the invention, showing the assembly of a clamp, a stud and an outer end of a hairspring, and
<tb> fig. 3 <sep> is a partial bottom perspective view of an alternative embodiment of the regulating device according to the invention.
[0007] Referring to FIGS. 1 and 2, a regulating device according to the invention for a timepiece, such as a watch, comprises a balance 1 and a spiral spring 2 driven on the axis of the balance 1 by means of a ferrule 3 The hairspring 2 is connected to the shell 3 by its inner end 4 and to a fastening element called "piton" 5 by its outer end 6. The piton 5 shown in the drawings is a conventional stud, round neck. It is typically carried by a bolt carrier (not shown) mounted adjustably on the cock of the movement of the timepiece. The outer end 6 of the hairspring 2 is rigid, by its greater width than that of the remainder of the blade forming the hairspring 2, and straight, and extends over a length L.
According to the invention, the fixing of the outer end 6 of the hairspring 2 to the pin 5 is effected by means of a clamp 7 secured to the pin 5 and at least one of the jaws 8, 9 is deformable elastically to allow the reception and pinching of the outer end 6 of the spring 2 between the jaws 8, 9. The clamp 7 is for example driven on the stud 5, and its jaws 8, 9 extend substantially in the longitudinal direction the outer end 6 of the hairspring 2 and in the plane of the hairspring 2. In the example shown, the jaw 9 closest to the axis of the balance 1 is elastically deformable, because of its small width, and the jaw 8 the farthest from the axis of the balance 1 is rigid.
The jaws 8, 9 are shaped to be in contact with the outer end 6 of the spiral 2 only at specific points. For this purpose, the rigid jaw 8 comprises two protuberances 10, 11 on its inner face, one of which is defined by a bending of the free end of the jaw 8, protuberances which rest on the longitudinal face 12 of the outer end 6 of the spiral 2 farthest from the axis of the balance 1 and thus define two points of contact. The elastic jaw 9 has in turn on its inner face a protuberance 13 defined by a bending of the free end of the jaw 9, which protrusion rests on the longitudinal face 14 of the outer end 6 of the spiral 2 the less away from the axis of the balance 1 and thus defines a point of contact.
The arrangement of the protuberances 10, 11 and 13 is such that the point of contact defined by the protrusion 13 is located, in the longitudinal direction of the outer end 6 of the spiral 2, between the contact points defined by the protuberances 10, 11 .
The elastic jaw 9 is further shaped so that the stresses exerted on it the outer end 6 of the spiral 2 are distributed substantially homogeneously. For this purpose, the width of the elastic jaw 9 decreases from its end 13a close to the stud 5 at its free end 13, and the width of the end 13a is substantially equal to twice that of the free end 13.
Thus, because of the bearing force on the free end 13 where the elastic jaw 9 is subjected to a moment of high intensity, namely at its end 13a close to the peak 5, the width is large which locally increases the resistance of the jaw 9 and reduces the stress, and where the elastic jaw 9 is subjected to a moment of small intensity, namely at its free end 13, the width is small which promotes the distribution of stresses during the deformation of the jaw 9. This makes it possible to increase the clamping force and / or the deformation of the clamp 7.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the outer end 6 of the hairspring 2 comprises on its longitudinal face 12 in contact with the rigid jaw 8 a projection 15 forming a stop which bears against the free end of the rigid jaw 8 in the longitudinal direction of the outer end 6 of the hairspring 2. To maintain the stop 15 bearing against the rigid jaw 8, and thus lock the longitudinal position of the outer end 6 of the hairspring 2 in the clamp 7, the free end 13 of the elastic jaw 9 cooperates with an inclined plane 16 of the longitudinal face 14 of the outer end 6 of the hairspring 2.
The portions of the abutment 15 and the free end of the rigid jaw 8 which are in contact are respectively a flat face 15a of the abutment 15 perpendicular to the plane of the spiral 2 and a curved face 8a of the free end of the jaw rigid 8 perpendicular to the plane of the clip 7.
A second inclined plane 17 is provided on the longitudinal face 14 of the outer end 6 of the hairspring 2, between the end 18 of the hairspring 2 and the inclined plane 16, to facilitate the introduction of the outer end 6 of the spiral 2 in the gripper 7.
The longitudinal face 14 of the outer end 6 of the hairspring 2 further comprises a projection 19 opposite the projection 15. This projection 19 serves as a grippable element, which can be grasped for example by tweezers to handle the end. 6 outer spiral 2 when mounting the regulator device according to the invention in the movement.
In an alternative embodiment of the present invention, a plate is fixed on one of the upper and lower faces of the clamp 7, or on each of these two faces, to close, at least in part, the opening of the clamp 7 on this or these faces. Fig. 3 represents an example of this embodiment variant, wherein such a plate 20 is fixed on the upper face of the clamp 7. This or these pads prevent, or at least reduce the risk, that the outer end 6 of the spiral 2 is moved vertically, that is to say parallel to the axis of the balance 1 and the pin 5, inadvertently during the assembly of the movement.
With the clamp 7 as described above, the fixing of the outer end 6 of the hairspring 2 to the peg 5 is very simple. The outer end 6 of the hairspring 2 is inserted between the jaws 8, 9 of the gripper 7 longitudinally. At rest, the spacing of the jaws 8, 9 of the clamp 7 substantially corresponds to the width of the end 18 of the hairspring 2. When the outer end 6 of the hairspring 2 is inserted between the jaws 8, 9, the free end 13 of the elastic jaw 9 cooperates initially with the inclined plane 17 of the outer end 6 of the hairspring 2, to move the elastic jaw 9 of the rigid jaw 8, then in a second step with the inclined plane 16 , which has the effect of abruptly bringing the elastic jaw 9 of the rigid jaw 8 in the manner of a clip.
The insertion movement of the outer end 6 of the hairspring 2 into the gripper 7 stops when the stop 15 comes to bear longitudinally against the free end of the rigid jaw 8. At this moment, the end free 13 of the elastic jaw 9 is in abutment against the inclined plane 16, which maintains the stop 15 against the free end of the rigid jaw 8 and thus locks the longitudinal position of the outer end 6 of the spiral 2 in the clamp 7, and the spacing of the jaws 8, 9 remains greater than their spacing at rest so that the clamp 7 exerts on the outer end 6 of the hairspring 2 sufficient clamping to maintain this outer end 6 in the clamp 7.
It will be noted that the abutment 15 and the inclined plane 16, in cooperation with the free ends of the jaws 8, 9, position the outer end 6 of the spiral 2 in the gripper 7 not only in the longitudinal direction but also angularly in the longitudinal direction. a vertical plane. Indeed, the inclined plane 16 and the free end 13 of the elastic jaw 9 tend to maintain the face 15a of the abutment 15 pressed against the vertical end face 8a of the rigid jaw 8. This positions the spiral 2 in the 7. In practice, the hairspring 2 is first fixed to the peg 5 by means of the clamp 7, which positions it, then driven on the axis of the balance 1 by means of the shell 3 .
The angle of the inclined plane 16 is chosen according to the desired locking force. A relatively small angle will make the connection between the clamp 7 and the outer end 6 of the hairspring 2 easily removable. A higher angle will increase the locking force.
Because the clamp 7 is driven on the stud 5, the position of the clamp 7 on the latter can be easily changed to adjust the height position of the outer end 6 of the hairspring 2 during assembly.
Another advantage of the invention is that the clamping characteristics of the outer end 6 of the spring 2 by the clamp 7 are accurate and reproducible, thanks in particular to the particular shape of the jaws 8, 9 of the clamp 7 which define defined points of contact with the outer end 6 of the hairspring 2.
In addition, with its rigid outer end 6 of length L, the hairspring 2 has a definite active length, constituted by the length of the elastic portion of the hairspring 2, that is to say the length of the remainder of the hairspring. 2. This active length is thus the same from one spiral to the other and is independent of the attachment of the spiral 2 to the clamp 7.
Finally, since it constitutes a separate part of the hairspring, the gripper 7 may be made of a material different from that of the hairspring 2, and more particularly in a material specially chosen to obtain the desired mechanical characteristics for the gripper 7. Preferably, the clip 7 is made of a material having a high Young's modulus and a high yield strength. A high Young's modulus makes it possible to limit the spacing of the jaws 8, 9 necessary to obtain a determined clamping force, and thus to limit the bulk of the clamp 7, for a given geometry and dimensions of the clamp. high yield strength allows to increase the stresses that can withstand the clamp 7, and therefore to increase the clamping force, for a given geometry and dimensions of the clamp 7.
An example of a material which satisfies these properties is Durnico steel. The hairspring 2 can itself be made of a material having a lower Young's modulus and / or yield strength, such as silicon.
