Beschreibung
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Kunstlinse für die Implantation in ein menschliches Auge.
Der vorliegenden Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Kunstlinse der vorstehend genannten Art zu schaffen, die ähnlich einer natürlichen Linse eine gewisse Anpassung beim Sehen in die Nähe und in die Ferne zulässt.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäss durch die Merkmale des Anspruches 1 gelöst.
Im folgenden wird anhand der Zeichnung ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Erfindungsgegenstandes näher erläutert. Es zeigt rein schematisch:
Fig. 1 eine Kunstlinse im Querschnitt,
Fig. 2 eine Draufsicht auf die Rückseite der Kunstlinse, und
Fig. 3 im Schnitt einen Teil eines menschlichen Auges mit eingesetzter Kunstlinse gemäss den Fig. 1 und 2.
Die in den Figuren gezeigte elastisch deformierbare Kunstlinse 1 weist einen elastisch verformbaren Linsenkörper 2 auf, der von einem mit letzterem einstückigen Kraftübertragungsteil 3 umgeben ist, der ebenfalls elastisch verformbar ist. Der Linsenkörper 2 ist im vorliegenden Ausführungsbeispiel etwa kreiszylindrisch und weist eine nach vorn gekrümmte, konvexe Vorderfläche 2a auf. Der Kraftübertragungsteil 3 ist nach rückwärts gewölbt, woraus sich eine teilerartige Ausbildung der Kunstlinse 1 ergibt. Der Kraftübertragungsteii 3 weist einen wuistartigen Randbereich 4 auf, der über einen Verbindungsteil 5 mit dem Linsenkörper 2 verbunden ist.
Die Form, die Grösse und die optischen Eigenschaften des Linsenkörpers 2 werden auf die Form, die Grösse bzw. die optischen Eigenschaften der zu ersetzenden natürlichen Linse im akkommodati-onslosen Zustand abgestimmt.
Im Randbereich können zwei sich gegenüberliegende flache Einkerbungen 7, 8 vorgesehen werden, die zur Erleichterung des Einsetzens der Kunstlinse 1 dienen. Zu demselben Zwecke können auch Durchgangslöcher 9, die im Verbindungsteil 5 vorgesehen werden können, dienen.
An das für die Kunstlinse 1 zu verwendende Material werden neben der elastischen Verformbarkeit noch die folgenden Anforderungen gestellt: biokompatibel, chemisch inert, keine Materialveränderungen bei Kontakt mit Gewebe, gute Verträglichkeit ohne Entzündungs- oder Fremdkörperreaktion, keine karzinogene oder allergene Wirkung, gute Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen mechanische Beanspruchung beim Rollen oder Falten bei der Implantation.
Materialien, die die vorstehend erwähnten Eigenschaften aufweisen, sind z.B. Hydrogele und Silikone.
Die beschriebene Kunstlinse 1 wird nach operativer Entfernung der natürlichen Linse, z.B. bei Grauem Star, bei der der Zonula-Apparat und die Linsenkapsel mit Ausnahme eines Fensters an deren Vorderseite erhalten bleiben, in die natürliche Linsenkapsel eingesetzt. Die eingesetzte Kunstlinse 1 soll nun die Linsenkapsel ähnlich der gesunden natürlichen Linse ausfüllen und ausspannen, so dass die Zonulafasern im Ruhezustand des Ziliar-muskels einen dem natürlichen Spannungszustand ähnlichen Spannungszustand haben und die auf die elastisch deformierbare Kunstlinse einwirkenden Kräfte, welche bei der Akkommodation durch Veränderungen der Form der Linsenkapsel verursacht werden, entsprechende Formveränderungen des Linsenkörpers 2 zur Folge haben. Dies soll nun anhand der Fig. 3 verdeutlicht werden.
In der Fig. 3 sind die einzelnen Teile des menschlichen Auges wie folgt bezeichnet: Hornhaut 10, Lederhaut 11, Regenbogenhaut (Iris) 12, Ziliarkörper 13, Zonulafasern 14, Linsenkapsel 15. An ihrer Vorderseite weist die Linsenkapsel 15 ein Fenster 16 mit einem Durchmesser von etwa 4,5 mm auf, durch das die Kunstlinse 1 in die Linsenkapsel 15 eingesetzt wird.
Die Zonulafasern 14 greifen an der Zonulalamelle 17 an, die durch zwei verdickte Zonen vorn und hinten an der Linsenkapsel 15 nahe des Äquators 18 ausgebildet sind. Die in die Linsenkapsel 15 eingesetzte Kunstlinse 1 stützt sich nun mit dem Randbereich 4 des Kraft-Übertragungsteiles 3 im Bereich dieser Zonulalamelle 17 an der Linsenkapsel 15 an. Durch die anhand der Fig. 1 und 2 erläuterte Formgebung der Kunstlinse 1 und dank deren elastischen Deformierbarkeit spannt die Kunstlinse 1, wie bereits erwähnt, die Linsenkapsel 15 aus, so dass deren hintere Wand 15a annähernd eben verläuft. Damit wird zwischen dieser hinteren Wand 15a und dem Linsenkörper 16 ein Hohlraum 19 gebildet, welcher es erlaubt, bei Bedarf in dieser hinteren Wand 15a mittels eines Lasers ebenfalls ein Fenster herauszubrennen, ohne dass die Kunstlinse 1 beschädigt wird.
Weil die Kunstlinse 1, wie beschrieben, mit ihrem Randbereich 4 an der Linsenkapsel 15 im Bereich der Zonulalamelle 17 angreift, werden Änderungen der Form der Linsenkapsel 15, die beim Akkommoda-tionsvorgang auftreten, auf den Linsenkörper 2 übertragen, der dann entsprechend eine Formänderung und damit eine Veränderung seiner optischen Eigenschaften, d.h. der Brechkraft erfährt. Dieser Vorgang ist anhand der Fig. 3 ohne weiteres nachvollziehbar, in der in der rechten Hälfte der akkom-modationslose Zustand und in der linken Hälfte der Zustand der Akkommodation dargestellt ist.
Im akkommodationslosen Zustand ist der Ziliar-muskel des Ziliarkörpers 13 erschlafft. Die Zonulafasern 14 sind gespannt, was zur Folge hat, dass sich die tellerartig ausgebildete Kunstlinse 1 abflacht. Damit werden die in grösserer Entfernung befindlichen Objekte scharf abgebildet.
Im Zustand der Akkommodation (linke Hälfte der Fig. 3) ist der Ziliarmuskel kontrahiert und die Zonulafasern 14 sind erschlafft. Die Linsenkapsel 15 kontrahiert sich entlang des Äquators 15, was zu einer entsprechenden Verringerung des Durchmessers der Linsenkapsel 15 führt. Das bedeutet, dass auch die Kunstlinse 1 zusammengedrückt wird, was zu einer Verdickung, d.h. einer stärkeren Wölbung des Linsenkörpers 2 führt. Dadurch werden die nahegelegenen Objekte scharf abgebildet.

Claims (7)
1. Kunstlinse für den Einsatz in die Linsenkapsel (15) eines menschlichen Auges, mit einem elastisch verformbaren Linsenkörper (2) und einem diesen umgebenden, ebenfalls elastisch deformierbaren Kraftübertragungsteil (3), dessen wulstartiger Randbereich (4) zum Angreifen an der Linsenkapsel (15) im Bereich deren Zonulalamelle (17) bestimmt ist und der die beim Akkommodationsvorgang auftretende Änderung der Form der Linsenkapsel (15) auf den Linsenkörper (2) überträgt und eine entsprechende Änderung der Form und damit der Brechkraft des letzteren bewirkt.
2. Kunstlinse nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Linsenkörper (2) und Kraftübertragungsteil (3) einstückig ausgebildet sind.
3. Kunstlinse nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie tellerförmig ausgebildet ist und einen nach hinten gewölbten Kraftübertragungsteii (3) aufweist.
4. Kunstlinse nach einem der Ansprüche 1-3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die optischen Eigenschaften des Linsenkörpers (2) auf diejenigen der zu ersetzenden natürlichen Linse im akkommoda-tionslosen Zustand abgestimmt sind.
5. Kunstiinse nach einem der Ansprüche 1-4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass im Randbereich (4) des Kraftübertragungsteils (3) zwei sich gegenüberliegende Einkerbungen (7 und 8) vorhanden sind.
6. Kunstlinse nach einem der Ansprüche 1-5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass im Kraft-Übertra-gungsteil (3) zwischen dessem Randbereich (4) und dem Linsenkörper (2) Durchgangslöcher (9) vorgesehen sind.
7. Kunstlinse nach einem der Ansprüche 1-6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie aus einem biokompatiblen Werkstoff, z.B. aus Hydrogel oder Silikon, besteht.
