BESCHREIBUNG
DESCRIPTION
The invention relates to a device - hereinafter called winder for short - for the continuous winding of an endless and usually fast, i.e. at speeds of 1 to 5 m / sec, running film web, e.g. extruded or blown polyalkylenes, such as polyethylene or polypropylene, polyesters, regenerated cellulose, modified cellulose and other flexible polymer films with typical thicknesses of 10 to 500 # m and widths of typically 1000 to 3000 mm, which can contain the usual additives.
Numerous types of winders for continuous operation are known for cutting web material, in particular paper and plastics. The general principle is that you cut the running film in the transverse direction, i.e. H. severed, the rear end of the preceding film section lying on the uppermost layer of a preceding finished roll and the front end of the following film section being guided onto an empty winding tube and fastened thereon with adhesive.
The tubes are released from a magazine into the winding station as required.
Many known winders also have a driven winding drum, a first holder for winding the winding tubes, a film lifter for lifting off the film before separation, and a cross cutting device and a second holder for finished winding.
Regarding the state of the art, particularly with regard to cross-cutting, US Pat. No. 3,494,566 and DE Patent 22 43 504 from the applicant should be mentioned.
With the increasing web speeds, the conventional cross cutting devices prove to be inadequate in terms of cleanliness and safety of the cut and / or have a complicated and therefore expensive or maintenance-requiring structure.
The object of the invention is a winder of the type described, the cross-cutting device is simple in terms of structure and operation and allows the film webs to be separated safely, cleanly and trouble-free even at high and highest web running speeds in continuous operation.
This is achieved according to the invention with a winder, which is characterized in that the transverse separating device has a rake bar movably connected to the film lifter and a device for deflecting the spike bar into the path of the film web running around the film lifter.
Preferred embodiments of the winding device have the features mentioned in claims 2 to 8. The device is preferably operated according to a method with the features mentioned in claims 9 or 10.
The device according to the invention and its operation are explained in preferred exemplary embodiments with reference to the drawings.
Show it:
1A shows the schematic representation of a device according to the invention in a broken side view with the unit pivoted in for the transverse separation of the film and the changing of the winding tube shortly before the separation of the film web,
Fig. 1B, the scheme shown in Fig. 1A with the unit pivoted and
Fig. 2 is an enlarged view of the assembly of the device of Fig. 1A.
The diagram shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B shows a side view of the winding drum T, which rotates counterclockwise as indicated by an arrow and pulls the film web F around the deflection roller 18. The winding drum is continuously driven in a known but not shown manner and rotates around the shaft 191 at a speed corresponding to the running of the film web F of z. B. 0.5 to 5 m / sec. Their properties (polymer, friction values, etc.), dimensions (width, thickness, etc.) and operating data are determined by the upstream system, which can be a film production machine (blow hose, wide-layer extruder, etc.) or processing machine (trimming, printing, etc.) . For blow hose extruders, the device 1 is usually doubled in mirror symmetry because hoses are often broken down into two film webs, e.g. B.
by means of the cutting device described in EP-PS 0 048 052.
The winding drum T can be provided with a coating (not shown) or coated. The shaft 191 is surrounded by a hollow shaft 173, with which the guide 17 for the unit A can be brought into a desired working position. For example, the assembly guide 17 can consist of two arms or carrier plates 171, 172 (only 171 visible) which are connected on both sides of the drum T to the hollow shaft 173 and, via the latter, to a drive controlled according to the desired positioning.
The unit A comprises the first holder 10, between the two schematically represented arms 101, 102 (which lie in pairs in front of and behind the winding drum T in a manner not shown) an open winding sleeve H, shown in broken lines, is inserted from a sleeve magazine 15 and from the film web F in Rotation is set as soon as a cross cutting process is to take place. Whether and how much the film web F is deflected by an empty winding tube H depends on the construction. Since the winding tube H from the actual tube 151, for. B. made of cardboard, plastic, metal or ceramic, and a inserted into this mandrel 152, which protrudes on both sides of the sleeve for holding the sleeve in the various stations, the winding tube H usually has a sufficient weight to by gravity alone to be managed effectively.
According to the prior art, the empty sleeve with an adhesive, for. B. in the form of double-sided adhesive tapes, to connect the front end of a separated film web by adhesive adhesion with the sleeve for winding.
According to a preferred embodiment of the device according to the invention, the adhesive adhesion is generated by electrostatic adhesion. B. can serve a charging device 16, which is arranged on the path of the film web behind the first bracket 10. As shown schematically, a loading rail 162 is attached to an arm 161 (again in pairs in front of and behind T), which preferably extends over the entire width of the winding drum T, but in any case has a sufficient range of action for the respective film web.
As described in more detail in applicant's patent no. 672 113, the electrostatic charging of the film or its application to and adhering to the sleeve (which should have an electrically non-conductive surface for this purpose) can be carried out in an electrostatic field by various methods, e.g. B. triboelectric or by corona discharge. With suitable foils, mechanical friction, e.g. between the film web F and an empty sleeve H, a sufficient charge of the film or a sufficiently strong field for sufficient adhesion of the film to the sleeve for winding the sleeve without adhesive tape are sufficient. For many purposes, however, electrically operated auxiliary devices 162 are preferred for the safe generation of sufficiently strong electrostatic fields.
The film web F now runs - d. H. if the unit A is in the working position shown in FIG. 1A and not in the rest position of FIG. 1B - via the film lifter 11, which as shown can be a roller or roller 111, which is supported on a carrier 112 (again in pairs in front of and is stored behind the winding drum T).
The film lifter 11 can also be a simple slide rail or an air cushion if the slide rail is replaced by an elongated hollow body which is provided with a longitudinal slot or a row of nozzles and is supplied with compressed gas from the inside. If desired, a lubricating liquid can be used in addition to or instead of compressed gas or a film coating can be applied.
On the support arm 112, as explained in more detail in connection with FIG. 2, a device 14 is arranged which moves a toothed strip 120 for transverse separation into the path of the film web, preferably under the conditions to be explained in more detail in order to ensure a safe and clean To enable cross-cutting even with high-speed foils made of different materials with and without coating and in all common thicknesses.
The film web F then runs, as shown in FIGS. 1A and 1B, in the gap S between the winding drum T and the more or less completely wound roll 131 on the sleeve H. The linear pressure at the gap S can (in a manner not shown) according to the information be regulated in EP 0 017 277 if the second winding station or holder 13 has its own drive for the sleeves H.
Otherwise, a compensation device (not shown) can be provided in order to keep the pressure at the gap S approximately constant, even when the winding state changes, and to effect the winding process only by friction on the winding drum T.
1A shows three different states I, II and III of the winding W:
In the state, a winding sleeve previously wound in the holder 10 of the unit A has been transferred to the fork G of the second winding holder 13 by rotating the guide 17 counterclockwise, whereupon the unit is approximately in the position shown in FIG. 1B until the subsequent separation process is initiated can remain.
The winding W on the fork G is therefore in position I in the build-up phase until in position II it almost reaches its desired strength. At this point in time at the latest (FIG. 1B), the unit A is pivoted back into the position of FIG. 1A and the film lifter 11 is brought between the winding drum T and the film web F, so that the cross-cutting device 12 onto the running web in the direction of the winding drum T. can act externally.
Before the actual cross-cutting process is triggered, an empty winding tube H is brought from the magazine 15 into the first holder 10 (shown in broken lines in FIG. 1A), as already indicated. The transverse separating device 12 is now triggered, as enlarged in FIG. 2 and shown after the fastening plate 171 (shown in broken lines) has been removed.
For this purpose, a pneumatically operated trigger device is used, for. B. articulated on a pin 144 on the plate 171 and (in a manner not shown) is controlled with compressed gas or air to the arm 140 about the shaft 191 (which also the role 111 of the Foil lifter 11) to pivot and thereby move the separating bar 122 with the serrated strip 120 attached to it in the path of the foil web F.
As indicated schematically in Fig. 2, the serrated strip 120 does not strike at right angles, but at an acute angle a of (180-ss), e.g. B. 30 to 80, where ss is the angle enclosed between the serrated strip and the tapering path.
It has been found that the angular speed of the toothed strip 120 in the circular segment path defined by the point of the tooth is to be lower when it strikes the film web F than the running speed of the film web, although it is preferably significantly smaller, e.g. B. by at least 20% and preferably at least 40% smaller, because together with the angular position of the toothed strip 120 explained below, this generally provides reproducible good cross-cutting performance even under otherwise different conditions.
The crossbar 122 is preferably deflected further, namely up to the position 122a shown in openwork; this causes the edge 121 to flip up the leading end V of the cross-separated film web, i.e. against the winding tube Hin of the first holder 10.
The device 16 for electrostatically adhering the one film end V is optional and can act as described above.
The serrated strip is a sheet, preferably made of metal, in particular steel, e.g. B. with a thickness between 0.1 and 3 mm, which can be similar to a conventional saw blade of carpenter saws to tension with a twisted strand, apart from the fact that the teeth or teeth for a suitable serrated strip generally not against each other are entangled.
Correspondingly, serrated strips are suitable which consist of a large number of uniform triangles standing next to one another, the tips of which protrude towards the front and are formed by two side legs which form an angle of usually less than 90, e.g. include one from 30 to 60. The base length of the triangles can be changed within relatively wide limits, but the distance between the tip and base, i. H. the height of the Zakken, at least about 100 times greater than the thickness of the film to be cut. Suitable spike heights can typically be 2 to 50 mm.
The teeth are preferably grinded on both legs, but only on one side, e.g. B. with grinding angles of less than 30, in particular 7 to 15.
Toothed strips suitable according to the invention can be attached to the separating bar in a simple manner and can be easily replaced if necessary. Disposable rake bars are generally preferred because the cost of new bars is usually less than regrinding.
After the cross-cutting process, the separating device 12 is brought back into its rest position, i. H. arm 140 swung back. The separated rear end of the preceding film section runs on the winding W, which then e.g. can be removed by swiveling the fork G (position III). However, various other mechanisms are known and suitable as pivotable arm pairs for unloading the second holder 13.
Simultaneously with the unloading of the second holder 13, i.e. H. after removal of a finished roll W, the sleeve H is wound up for the next roll in the first holder at least until the second holder is ready to take over the wound sleeve H (position I of arm G in FIG. 1A). Now follows the pivoting of the guide 17 already described above for unloading the first holder 10.
It is understood that numerous variants of the embodiment described above are within the scope of the invention, for. B. the use of various known constructions for the sleeve magazine 15 and its control, as well as for the control and monitoring of the operation of automatic winders.
