Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for dispensing labels for the labeling of goods, which are individually lined up past a labeling position and are thereby equipped with a label located in the labeling position, in which a bobbin is wound from a label strip with individually lined-up labels or the like stock is formed is, in which the label tape is then withdrawn from the supply and guided to a label dispenser, whereby a new label in each case comes to a ready position on the label dispenser and the label preceding it comes from the label dispenser in a straight line extension of its last movement section into the labeling position and thereby is separated from the leftover tape of the label tape by deflecting the leftover tape at the edge of the label dispenser in a direction which differs significantly from the direction of movement of the label reaching the labeling position cht, and in which the label tape is driven by pulling on the carrier tape already separated from the labels and a device and a label tape for performing this method.
  • the label tape In a labeling machine known from US Pat. No. 4,224,872, the label tape consists of a carrier tape onto which the labels deposited with a self-adhesive layer are temporarily glued. Such label tapes are expensive.
  • the object of the invention is to improve a method and a device of the type mentioned in such a way that they can be operated with simpler, less expensive label tapes.
  • the method for solving the above-mentioned object is characterized in that the label tape is a strip of label material, preferably paper, that the labels are pre-punched out of the label tape before the stock is formed from it, with a die cut which, with the exception of some Narrow adhesive bridges in each case extend over the entire circumference of the label and that the one or more front adhesive bridges of each label in the forward direction are cut first and only then the one or more remaining adhesive bridges located in the forward direction at the back and only shortly before the relevant label is removed from the carrier tape is separated.
  • the label tape is a strip of label material, preferably paper, that the labels are pre-punched out of the label tape before the stock is formed from it, with a die cut which, with the exception of some Narrow adhesive bridges in each case extend over the entire circumference of the label and that the one or more front adhesive bridges of each label in the forward direction are cut first and only then the one or more remaining adhesive bridges located in the forward direction at the back and only shortly before the relevant label is removed from the
  • stampable film material can also be considered as label material, for example plastic film, metal film or textiles.
  • the remaining adhesive bridges which temporarily hold the labels in the label tape, can be designed so narrow and can also be positioned so that they can be cut with a simple straight cut or tear, without this being shown disadvantageously in the outer contour of the finished label.
  • the separation can take place, for example, by punching, cutting, tearing, burning through, melting or using a gas jet, depending on the label material used. Punching or cutting is preferred for separating because it leads to clean separating cuts with simple effort, regardless of the label material used.
  • the label in question is first removed from the carrier tape solved that it can no longer follow the deflection movement of the carrier tape at the edge of the label dispenser, but begins to advance straight into the labeling position.
  • the initially remaining one or more adhesive bridges located at the back form a provisional last connection with the carrier tape while the label in question is being fed into the labeling position, which ensures that this label is fed into the labeling position.
  • 1 denotes a label tape bobbin from which the label tape 2 is pulled off.
  • the label tape 2 first passes through a tape tensioner 3, then the label printer 4 - which can also be omitted if the labels are already printed or should not be printed. Subsequently, the label tape runs through a tape store 5, which elastically stores a label tape section in the form of a loop. The label strip 2 then arrives at the label dispenser 6.
  • the label dispenser 6 has a dispensing edge 24 which extends across the label bandwidth. At this dispensing edge, the residual carrier tape 9 is returned at an acute angle and arrives at the winding device 10, while the labels, due to their internal rigidity and in continuation of their straight-line movement, successively reach the labeling position, which takes up the label 8 in FIG.
  • the label that has reached the labeling position passes through a glue device 19, through which it is glued on the back, for example by spraying on glue.
  • Goods 13, 14, 15 are conveyed lined up past the labeling position, in the same direction of movement according to arrow 16 and at approximately the same speed as the label delivered, for example label 8.
  • a pressure roller which denotes the delivered label is designated by 18 , In the labeling position, label 8 presses on the goods 14 passing by, so that it sticks there.
  • a gluing device 12 directed at the corresponding location of the goods 15 delivered for labeling can also be provided.
  • activation devices can also be provided in the event that inactive adhesive layers are already present on the back of the label or on the top of the goods, but which have to be activated for gluing, for example moistened or heated.
  • a drive device which has a driven roller 101 around which the residual carrier belt 9 is wound.
  • This roller is driven step by step by the motor 102 and drives the residual carrier tape 9 and thus pulls the label tape 2.
  • the label tape 2 moves forward by one label grid.
  • a drive for the label tape 2 is provided in the tape store 5.
  • These drives are controlled as a function of the goods passing through, specifically by means of a control device 104 which, if necessary, also controls the glue device 12 or 19.
  • This control device 104 is in turn controlled by a first light barrier 48, which is directed towards the web of the goods to be labeled 13, 14, 15 and from a second light barrier 49, which is directed towards the labels reaching the label dispenser 6.
  • a label located in the ready position on the label dispenser 6 reaches the labeling position, which takes up the label 8 and from there on the associated goods.
  • the leftover carrier tape that is the part of the label tape that is not formed by the labels, is wound up on the winding device 10, which is driven by the motor 92 in a slip manner in the direction of the arrow 93.
  • the motor 92 is also controlled by the control device 104.
  • the label strip 2 consists of a paper strip from which - as can also be seen from FIG. 8 - the labels 50, 70, 71, 72 are punched out while leaving adhesive bridges 51, 52, 53, 54, 73, 74, 75, 76. These die cuts are made before the label tape 2 opens onto the bobbin is rolled, preferably already in the paper mill.
  • the label dispenser 6 will now be explained in more detail with reference to FIGS. 2 to 6.
  • the label dispenser 6 consists of a frame 20 which is fastened with a stop element 23 to the chassis of the labeling machine from FIG. 1, not shown.
  • a flat dispensing rail 21 is attached to the frame and extends plane-parallel to the path of the label strip 2, namely transversely to the forward direction according to arrow 22 of the label strip 2.
  • the dispensing rail extends over more than the entire width of the label strip 2.
  • the dispensing rail Relative to the forward direction according to arrow 22 of the label tape 2, in front, the dispensing rail has a dispensing edge 24 which also extends over more than the width of the web of the label tape.
  • the dispensing rail 21 extends immediately below the path of the label tape.
  • a guide rail 25 is arranged at the rear end of the frame, which extends plane-parallel to the label web below the label web.
  • the two rails 21 and 25 are connected to one another by rods 26, 27 which extend laterally from the label web.
  • a bearing block 28 is arranged on the rod 26 so as to be longitudinally displaceable, which can be fixed by means of a hand screw 36, to which a punching bridge 29 is fastened which is supported on the other rod 27.
  • the punching bridge extends over the label tape web and has an elongated hole 30 which extends over the entire width of the label tape web and in which two die-cutting tools 31, 32 are fastened laterally.
  • the punching tools are magnetically operated bare punches, the punch knives 33, 34 are mounted against rotation and driven by magnetic excitation from their raised ineffective position downwards through the path of the label tape 2 through.
  • Another punching bridge 35 is arranged opposite the dispensing rail 21 and also extends above the path of the label tape.
  • a punching tool 37 is arranged on this punching bridge and is designed in exactly the same way as the punching tools 31 and 32.
  • a hole 39 is provided in the dispensing rail 21 for the punching knife 38 of the punching tool 37, as can be seen in FIG.
  • the punch 37 can also be arranged to be laterally displaceable.
  • an elongated hole corresponding to the elongated hole 30 is provided in the punched bridge 35 and the punched bridge 35 may be lengthened accordingly.
  • the hole 39 is then also correspondingly extended by an elongated hole, or discrete holes are additionally provided which correspond to the different positions of the punch 37.
  • Further punching tools can then be mounted on a punching bridge 35 modified in this way. In addition to the punching bridges 29 and 35, it is possible to provide further punching bridges with further punching tools. All punching tools are controlled by the control device 104.
  • the label tape 2 is shown in Figure 8.
  • Oval labels 70, 71, 72 are punched out, which are identically shaped and pre-punched over their entire circumference, with the exception of four adhesive bridges each.
  • the punched sections of the label 70 are designated 44, 45, 46, 47 and each extend about 1/4 of the circumference.
  • the adhesive bridges 73, 74, 75, 76 belong to the label 70.
  • the adhesive bridge 73 also belongs to the label 71.
  • Each of the adhesive bridges extends each over 2 mm (millimeters) of the label circumference, while the entire label circumference is 60 mm.
  • the two adhesive bridges 74 and 76 extend in the middle of the lateral bulges of the label circumference.
  • the adhesive bridges are evenly distributed over the circumference of the label.
  • the labels 70, 71, 72 and the labels (not shown) of the label strip 2 are pre-punched in an identical geometrical manner and are uniformly lined up one behind the other.
  • punched holes are provided in the label strip in addition to the labels, which can serve as markings for light barrier 49.
  • the punch holes are geometrically assigned to the individual labels. Instead of these punched holes, the light barrier 49 can also be directed at printed markings on certain contours of the punched sections 44 to 47.
  • the three punching tools 31, 32 and 37 are sufficient for processing a label tape according to FIG. 8. These three punching tools correspond to a label 50 or 70, which adheres to the carrier tape with four adhesive bridges 51 to 54 or 73 to 76.
  • the punch knives 33, 34 extend transversely to the adhesive bridges 51, 52 or 74, 76.
  • the punch knives 38 extend transversely to the adhesive bridges 53, 54 or 73, 75.
  • the punch knives are wider than the associated adhesive bridges, so that with a Punching stroke is in each case completely cut through the relevant adhesive bridge and the separating cut is in the extension of the punching sections 44, 45, 46, 47.
  • the label 50 is in the ready position on the label dispenser 6.
  • the punch knives 33, 34, 38 are directed towards the adhesive bridges 51, 52, 53 located in the forward direction according to arrow 22.
  • the three punching tools 31, 32, 37 are excited simultaneously, preferably when the label strip 2 is at a standstill, and cut through the adhesive bridges 51, 52, 53 in a common working stroke.
  • the label 50 drawn from the carrier tape 9, to which it still adheres through the adhesive bridge 54 located at the rear, comes into the labeling position in which the label 8 is drawn in FIGS. 1 and 2. Now the next label is in the ready position, and with the next punch cycle the adhesive bridge 54 of the label 50, which is now in the position of the adhesive bridge 53 from FIG. 2, is severed and the label 50 is completely detached from the carrier tape.
  • the carrier residual tape 9 which consists of two edge strips 40, 41, is guided obliquely back to the winding device 10 around the dispensing edge 24 at an acute angle.
  • the winding device 10 has two winding rollers 17, 90. These two take-up rollers are placed coaxially on the drive shaft 91, which are driven in rotation by the motor 92 in the direction of arrow 93, see FIG. 1.
  • the drive movement of the shaft 91 is transmitted via a slip clutch 94 or 95 to the winding roller 17 or 90.

The invention relates to a method for dispensing labels for the labeling of goods, which are individually lined up past a labeling position and are thereby equipped with a label located in the labeling position, in which a bobbin is wound from a label strip with individually lined-up labels or the like stock is formed is, in which the label tape is then withdrawn from the supply and guided to a label dispenser, whereby a new label in each case comes to a ready position on the label dispenser and the label preceding it comes from the label dispenser in a straight line extension of its last movement section into the labeling position and thereby is separated from the leftover tape of the label tape by deflecting the leftover tape at the edge of the label dispenser in a direction which differs significantly from the direction of movement of the label reaching the labeling position cht, and in which the label tape is driven by pulling on the carrier tape already separated from the labels and a device and a label tape for performing this method.

In a labeling machine known from US Pat. No. 4,224,872, the label tape consists of a carrier tape onto which the labels deposited with a self-adhesive layer are temporarily glued. Such label tapes are expensive.

The object of the invention is to improve a method and a device of the type mentioned in such a way that they can be operated with simpler, less expensive label tapes.

This object is achieved in the present invention by the respective characteristic features of the method for dispensing label labels according to claim 1, the label tape according to claim 5 and the label dispenser according to claims 9,10. Advantageous refinements of the subject matter of the invention can be found in the respective subclaims.

The method for solving the above-mentioned object is characterized in that the label tape is a strip of label material, preferably paper, that the labels are pre-punched out of the label tape before the stock is formed from it, with a die cut which, with the exception of some Narrow adhesive bridges in each case extend over the entire circumference of the label and that the one or more front adhesive bridges of each label in the forward direction are cut first and only then the one or more remaining adhesive bridges located in the forward direction at the back and only shortly before the relevant label is removed from the carrier tape is separated.

In addition to paper, other stampable film material can also be considered as label material, for example plastic film, metal film or textiles.

Since the labels are largely pre-punched in the label tape, this pre-punching can be used to achieve almost any outside contour. The remaining adhesive bridges, which temporarily hold the labels in the label tape, can be designed so narrow and can also be positioned so that they can be cut with a simple straight cut or tear, without this being shown disadvantageously in the outer contour of the finished label. The separation can take place, for example, by punching, cutting, tearing, burning through, melting or using a gas jet, depending on the label material used. Punching or cutting is preferred for separating because it leads to clean separating cuts with simple effort, regardless of the label material used.

When cutting through the adhesive bridges at the front, the label in question is first removed from the carrier tape solved that it can no longer follow the deflection movement of the carrier tape at the edge of the label dispenser, but begins to advance straight into the labeling position. The initially remaining one or more adhesive bridges located at the back form a provisional last connection with the carrier tape while the label in question is being fed into the labeling position, which ensures that this label is fed into the labeling position.

The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawing.

Daran anschließend gelangt das Etikettenband 2 an den Etikettenspender 6.In FIG. 1, 1 denotes a label tape bobbin from which the label tape 2 is pulled off. The label tape 2 first passes through a tape tensioner 3, then the label printer 4 - which can also be omitted if the labels are already printed or should not be printed. Subsequently, the label tape runs through a tape store 5, which elastically stores a label tape section in the form of a loop. The label strip 2 then arrives at the label dispenser 6.

The label dispenser 6 has a dispensing edge 24 which extends across the label bandwidth. At this dispensing edge, the residual carrier tape 9 is returned at an acute angle and arrives at the winding device 10, while the labels, due to their internal rigidity and in continuation of their straight-line movement, successively reach the labeling position, which takes up the label 8 in FIG. The label that has reached the labeling position passes through a glue device 19, through which it is glued on the back, for example by spraying on glue.

Goods 13, 14, 15 are conveyed lined up past the labeling position, in the same direction of movement according to arrow 16 and at approximately the same speed as the label delivered, for example label 8. A pressure roller which denotes the delivered label is designated by 18 , In the labeling position, label 8 presses on the goods 14 passing by, so that it sticks there. Instead of the gluing device 19 directed towards the back of the label, a gluing device 12 directed at the corresponding location of the goods 15 delivered for labeling can also be provided. Instead of the gluing devices, activation devices can also be provided in the event that inactive adhesive layers are already present on the back of the label or on the top of the goods, but which have to be activated for gluing, for example moistened or heated.

This roller is driven step by step by the motor 102 and drives the residual carrier tape 9 and thus pulls the label tape 2. With each step, the label tape 2 moves forward by one label grid. In addition, a drive for the label tape 2 is provided in the tape store 5. These drives are controlled as a function of the goods passing through, specifically by means of a control device 104 which, if necessary, also controls the glue device 12 or 19. This control device 104 is in turn controlled by a first light barrier 48, which is directed towards the web of the goods to be labeled 13, 14, 15 and from a second light barrier 49, which is directed towards the labels reaching the label dispenser 6.

At each preliminary step of the label tape, a label located in the ready position on the label dispenser 6 reaches the labeling position, which takes up the label 8 and from there on the associated goods.

The leftover carrier tape, that is the part of the label tape that is not formed by the labels, is wound up on the winding device 10, which is driven by the motor 92 in a slip manner in the direction of the arrow 93. The motor 92 is also controlled by the control device 104.

The label strip 2 consists of a paper strip from which - as can also be seen from FIG. 8 - the labels 50, 70, 71, 72 are punched out while leaving adhesive bridges 51, 52, 53, 54, 73, 74, 75, 76. These die cuts are made before the label tape 2 opens onto the bobbin is rolled, preferably already in the paper mill.

The label dispenser 6 will now be explained in more detail with reference to FIGS. 2 to 6.

The label dispenser 6 consists of a frame 20 which is fastened with a stop element 23 to the chassis of the labeling machine from FIG. 1, not shown. A flat dispensing rail 21 is attached to the frame and extends plane-parallel to the path of the label strip 2, namely transversely to the forward direction according to arrow 22 of the label strip 2. The dispensing rail extends over more than the entire width of the label strip 2.

Relative to the forward direction according to arrow 22 of the label tape 2, in front, the dispensing rail has a dispensing edge 24 which also extends over more than the width of the web of the label tape. The dispensing rail 21 extends immediately below the path of the label tape.

Corresponding to the dispensing rail 21, a guide rail 25 is arranged at the rear end of the frame, which extends plane-parallel to the label web below the label web. The two rails 21 and 25 are connected to one another by rods 26, 27 which extend laterally from the label web. A bearing block 28 is arranged on the rod 26 so as to be longitudinally displaceable, which can be fixed by means of a hand screw 36, to which a punching bridge 29 is fastened which is supported on the other rod 27. The punching bridge extends over the label tape web and has an elongated hole 30 which extends over the entire width of the label tape web and in which two die-cutting tools 31, 32 are fastened laterally. The punching tools are magnetically operated bare punches, the punch knives 33, 34 are mounted against rotation and driven by magnetic excitation from their raised ineffective position downwards through the path of the label tape 2 through.

Another punching bridge 35 is arranged opposite the dispensing rail 21 and also extends above the path of the label tape. A punching tool 37 is arranged on this punching bridge and is designed in exactly the same way as the punching tools 31 and 32. A hole 39 is provided in the dispensing rail 21 for the punching knife 38 of the punching tool 37, as can be seen in FIG. The punch 37 can also be arranged to be laterally displaceable. Then, in a modification of the exemplary embodiment shown, an elongated hole corresponding to the elongated hole 30 is provided in the punched bridge 35 and the punched bridge 35 may be lengthened accordingly. The hole 39 is then also correspondingly extended by an elongated hole, or discrete holes are additionally provided which correspond to the different positions of the punch 37. Further punching tools can then be mounted on a punching bridge 35 modified in this way. In addition to the punching bridges 29 and 35, it is possible to provide further punching bridges with further punching tools. All punching tools are controlled by the control device 104.

The label tape 2 is shown in Figure 8. Oval labels 70, 71, 72 are punched out, which are identically shaped and pre-punched over their entire circumference, with the exception of four adhesive bridges each. The punched sections of the label 70 are designated 44, 45, 46, 47 and each extend about 1/4 of the circumference. The adhesive bridges 73, 74, 75, 76 belong to the label 70. The adhesive bridge 73 also belongs to the label 71. Each of the adhesive bridges extends each over 2 mm (millimeters) of the label circumference, while the entire label circumference is 60 mm. The two adhesive bridges 74 and 76 extend in the middle of the lateral bulges of the label circumference. The adhesive bridges are evenly distributed over the circumference of the label. The labels 70, 71, 72 and the labels (not shown) of the label strip 2 are pre-punched in an identical geometrical manner and are uniformly lined up one behind the other.

With 105, 106, 107 punched holes are provided in the label strip in addition to the labels, which can serve as markings for light barrier 49. The punch holes are geometrically assigned to the individual labels. Instead of these punched holes, the light barrier 49 can also be directed at printed markings on certain contours of the punched sections 44 to 47.

Since the successive labels touch in the area of the common adhesive bridge, for example adhesive bridge 73, two separate edge strips 40, 41 of the residual carrier tape 9 are formed.

The three punching tools 31, 32 and 37 are sufficient for processing a label tape according to FIG. 8. These three punching tools correspond to a label 50 or 70, which adheres to the carrier tape with four adhesive bridges 51 to 54 or 73 to 76. The punch knives 33, 34 extend transversely to the adhesive bridges 51, 52 or 74, 76. The punch knives 38 extend transversely to the adhesive bridges 53, 54 or 73, 75. The punch knives are wider than the associated adhesive bridges, so that with a Punching stroke is in each case completely cut through the relevant adhesive bridge and the separating cut is in the extension of the punching sections 44, 45, 46, 47.

In FIG. 2, the label 50 is in the ready position on the label dispenser 6. In this ready position, the punch knives 33, 34, 38 are directed towards the adhesive bridges 51, 52, 53 located in the forward direction according to arrow 22. In this ready position, the three punching tools 31, 32, 37 are excited simultaneously, preferably when the label strip 2 is at a standstill, and cut through the adhesive bridges 51, 52, 53 in a common working stroke.

In the course of the next advance cycle of the label tape, the label 50, drawn from the carrier tape 9, to which it still adheres through the adhesive bridge 54 located at the rear, comes into the labeling position in which the label 8 is drawn in FIGS. 1 and 2. Now the next label is in the ready position, and with the next punch cycle the adhesive bridge 54 of the label 50, which is now in the position of the adhesive bridge 53 from FIG. 2, is severed and the label 50 is completely detached from the carrier tape.

During the advance of the label tape 2, the carrier residual tape 9, which consists of two edge strips 40, 41, is guided obliquely back to the winding device 10 around the dispensing edge 24 at an acute angle.

It can be seen from FIG. 7 that the winding device 10 has two winding rollers 17, 90. These two take-up rollers are placed coaxially on the drive shaft 91, which are driven in rotation by the motor 92 in the direction of arrow 93, see FIG. 1. The drive movement of the shaft 91 is transmitted via a slip clutch 94 or 95 to the winding roller 17 or 90. The edge strip is on the take-up roller 90 40 and wound onto the winding roller 17 of the edge strips 41. Due to the two slip clutches 94, 95, the two winding rollers 17, 90 experience independent slip. This ensures that small differences that can arise in the winding diameter of the wound edge strips 40, 41 are compensated for.

According to FIG. 8, the individual stamping sections are also shown in FIGS. 9 to 13 and 19 to 21 by solid black lines. These are very narrow cuts. With all label tapes, the individual labels of the respective label tape are geometrically identical among themselves and lined up uniformly one behind the other. For the purpose of clarification, the adhesive bridges are drawn wider than the proportionate representation. In fact, each adhesive bridge extends over 1 to 3 mm of the label circumference, even if the labels are much larger, for example 3 to 5 times as large as drawn. All of the adhesive bridges of a label taken together extend over less than 10% of the associated label circumference, preferably over approximately 1 to 5% of the label circumference.

According to FIG. 12, labels are provided which have the shape of a rectangle with rounded corners. The two adhesive bridges 80 and 81 each belong to two labels, namely the labels 82 and 83. The adhesive bridges 84 and 85 connect the label 83 to the side edge strips 87 and 88 of the label tape 89. Four punching tools are required for this label tape, that is instead of the Punching tool 37 two punching tools arranged at the same height. With these two punching tools, the adhesive bridges 80 and 81 punched and with the two other punching tools the adhesive bridges 84 and 85, all together in a common punching cycle.

The same applies to the label tape from FIG. 13.

While in the case of the label tapes according to FIGS. 8 to 13, two successive labels, for example labels 70 and 71, have in common one adhesive bridge, for example adhesive bridge 73, this is not the case with the label tapes according to FIGS. 14 and 15. Rather, there remain between successive labels 120 to 122, or 122 to 125, loss strips 130, 131, 132, 133, which form a ladder-like residual carrier tape 134, 135 with the remaining parts of the residual carrier tape. In such a case, the remaining carrier tape is therefore contiguous. In a modification of the illustration in FIG. 7, only a single continuous take-up roller for the entire remaining carrier tape will be provided, which is driven by a single slip clutch.

For the label tape 136 from FIG. 14, a double-edged punch knife 137 is used instead of the punch knife 38 from FIG. One cutting edge 138 then cuts through the adhesive bridge 140 and the other cutting edge 141 the opposite adhesive bridge 142 of the next label 121.

In the label band 144 from FIG. 15, two rows of labels are provided next to one another, one row being formed by the visible labels 122 to 125 and the second row being formed by the labels 126 to 128. Adjacent labels, for example the labels 125 and 128, have an adhesive bridge 145 in common. For this label tape, two punches, each with double-edged knives according to FIG. 16 and on the Punching bridge 35 three punching needed.

In the exemplary embodiment of a label dispenser shown in FIGS. 17 and 18, the frame 198 consists of a dispensing rail 180 corresponding to the dispensing rail 21 and a guide rail 181 corresponding to the guide rail 25, which are connected to one another by the rods 26, 27 corresponding rods 182, 183. With 184 a bridge is designated, which is mounted at the very front end of the rods 182, 183 and has an elongated hole 185, in which two knife tools 186, 187 are adjustably mounted in their position. The knife tool 186 has a rotatably drivable knife 195, the axis of rotation 188 of which extends transversely to the forward direction 189 of the label band 190. The knife 195 is a circular knife and extends with its cutting edge to the surface of the dispensing rail 180, specifically directly next to the dispensing edge 191, which corresponds to the dispensing edge 24. The label band 190 is fed via the guide rail 181 and the dispensing rail 180 and the labels arrive one after the other in the labeling position, while the carrier tape, which consists of two edge strips 192, 193, is returned at an acute angle around the dispensing edge 191. The two knives, the knife 195, and the correspondingly designed and driven knife 194 of the knife tool 187 are directed to two lines 196, 197 shown in broken lines. The labels 199, 200, 201 are arranged between these two parallel lines, which extend parallel to the forward direction 189. All adhesive bridges, such as the adhesive bridges 202, 203, 204, 205, 214, 215, 216, 217, cross one of these lines 196, 197 and thus reach the label tape just before they reach the dispensing edge 191 The effective range of the knives 194, 195 and are then severed. In this way, the individual labels are formed by the edge strips 192, 193 Carrier remaining tape loosened.

The label band 190 is shown again in FIG. 19. The individual labels have the shape of a rectangle with rounded corners. In the area of the corners, recesses 206, 207, 208, 209 are provided between the dash-dotted lines 197, 196, which are stamped into the label tape together with the punching sections 210, 211, 212, 213 before the label tape is wound up into the bobbin. In this way there is no waste due to the triangle pieces not required at the dispensing edge.

The label tape 220 from FIG. 20 is also suitable for the label dispenser from FIG. 17. The labels 221, 222, 223 extend between the parallel, dash-dotted lines 224, 225 along which the knives 194, 195 intersect, and all the adhesive bridges, such as the adhesive bridges 226, 227, 228, 229, each cross one of these lines 224 , 225. The labels have a constricted rectangular shape with rounded corners. For this purpose, in addition to the cutouts 230, 231, lateral cutouts 232, 233 are provided at the corners. It can be seen from FIGS. 19 and 20 that a very large number of forms of labels can be pre-punched, it is only important that the adhesive bridges required cross the parallel lines 224, 225.

Im Interesse einer abgerundeten Form der Etiketten sind Aussparungen, wie zum Beispiel die Aussparung 255 in das Etikettenband eingestanzt.FIG. 21 shows a label tape 240 with two rows of labels 241 to 244, to which three parallel dash-dotted lines 245, 246, 247 are assigned. A knife is assigned to each of these lines. For the processing of this label tape 240 on the label dispenser according to FIG. 17, three such knife tools are to be provided instead of the two knife tools 186, 187 provided. Adhesive bridges, such as the adhesive bridges 250, 251, 252 cross all, one of these dash-dotted lines 245, 246, 247, so that they can be detected by the associated knife. In the interest of a rounded shape of the labels, cutouts, such as cutout 255, are punched into the label tape.

The label tapes to be used according to the invention are very inexpensive in comparison to the label tapes to be used according to the prior art, because they can consist of a simple paper strip which can be provided with the necessary die cuts and possibly the required pressure by the manufacturer. A possible coating can also be applied. There is hardly any waste, only the residual carrier tape.

In a modification of the exemplary embodiment shown, the label tape can also be fed continuously instead of in cycles and the labels can also be delivered to the goods differently, for example by first holding the labels in the labeling position with suction air and then getting them to the goods with compressed air. The label tape can, instead of, as in the exemplary embodiment, consist of a simple paper strip also of other label material, and it can be coated on the back with a layer of adhesive which is initially inactive and when the individual labels are dispensed into the labeling position by one corresponding to the gluing device 19 Activation device is adhesive activated. If the gluing or adhesive activation is carried out by applying a liquid, this can be sprayed on, but it is preferably applied by continuously rotating glue or liquid rollers.
