DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
The present invention refers to a device for transforming a motorbike-scooter into a vehicle suitable for operating on snowy ground, without however altering any essential characteristic of the scooter, so that, once the use of the vehicle is finished on snow, the same can be returned to the state original operating.
In the sector of mechanical vehicles capable of proceeding without difficulty on snowy terrain, there are already vehicles built exclusively for this use, such as motorcycles or the so-called "snow cats". Due to their construction characteristics, these vehicles can operate only on snow and are therefore to be considered, also due to their high cost, as professional vehicles which need to be transported by road or other transport vehicles to be transferred on the road. Moreover, due to the wide central track or the lateral tracks rigidly applied to the vehicle structure, these means can act on transversely inclined paths, that is, on the coast, only within certain very narrow limits, beyond which the danger of overturning is unerringly present. In an attempt to remedy at least in part the aforementioned drawbacks, a two-wheeled tracked motor vehicle has already appeared on the market for off-road use which, if necessary, can be adapted to the needs imposed by driving on snow using gripping teeth to be additionally fixed on the track relatively narrow, but this solution (fallback) did not completely solve the problem in question and in particular the movement on snowy ground inclined transversely. It therefore seemed interesting to study a solution capable of satisfying a wider range of needs, without leaving the limits of economics beyond which the possibility of a desired spread of the object would be compromised.
The motorbike scooter appeared as the most suitable basic means, with its current degree of improvement and reliability it has many practical advantages of adaptability. In fact, having the same above all the wheels applied overhanging by means of fixing bolts as used on cars (i.e. not closed between a fork), it lends itself favorably to the type of transformation developed in the meantime and forming the subject of the present invention . Substantially the proposed device is characterized by the combination of the elements indicated in claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention are given by the dependent claims.
L'invenzione viene realizzata come dettagliatamente descritto di seguito con riferimento ai disegni allegati, le figure dei quali mostrano: The invention is carried out as described in detail below with reference to the attached drawings, the figures of which show:
Fig. 1 una vista laterale d'insieme di un moto-scooter con applicato, al posto delle normali ruote, il dispositivo a cingolo posteriore ed il pattino sterzante anteriore; Fig. 1 an overall side view of a motorcycle scooter with the rear track device and the front steering shoe applied instead of the normal wheels;
Fig. 2 una vista prospettica parziale e schematica della scocca di un moto-scanner e del telaietto di attacco porta-cingolo; Fig. 2 a partial and schematic perspective view of the body of a motorcycle scanner and of the frame for attachment to the track-holder;
Fig. 3 una vista prospettica e schematica del sistema oscillante guida-cingolo; Fig. 3 a perspective and schematic view of the oscillating guide-track system;
Fig. 4 una vista prospettica e schematica del cingolo con relativi tasselli interni di guida e traversine esterne di presa; Fig. 4 a perspective and schematic view of the crawler track with relative internal guide blocks and external gripping sleepers;
Fig. 5 a lateral and partial schematic view of the drive system of the external cogwheel track.
As can be clearly seen from the figures, the device in question substantially comprises the rear track-carrying trolley with the relative inverter-reduction device mounted in place of the rear wheel and the steering shoe mounted in place of the front wheel. The rear carriage is composed of a cradle frame 1 designed for easy attachment to the motorcycle scanner using its attachment points to the engine (not shown) and the rear shock absorber 2, so as to keep the original vehicle spring system unchanged. Two forks 3 and 4 are fixed centrally on two transversal spacing bars la-lb, each capable of carrying a neutral guide-track wheel 5-6. Longitudinally, between said two forks, a bar 7 is oscillatingly fixed, bearing on both sides a certain number of wheels of smaller diameter 8, arranged in parallel, suitable to operate like multiple rollers having the task of cooperating in the absorption of the load of support of the scooter, which in Fig. 1 is schematically represented by way of example. The track, see Fig. 4, is constituted by a ring 9 in flat belt of rubberised fabric or other suitable material. Said belt centrally has a continuous line of equidistant punched openings 10 having dimensions and pitch corresponding to the toothing of the control wheel 11 forming part of the reduction-inverter device mounted in place of the rear wheel of the vehicle as will be described later. Between a punched opening 10 and the other, the belt 9 carries fixed gripping crosspieces 12 in angular metal material which at the center, at the point where the teeth of the control gear wheel 11 work, have a short lowered section 12a adapted to favor the operating cooperation with said toothed wheel 11. As better visible in Fig. 5, said wheel, which is mounted on a special hub-drum containing the inverter-gearbox device (not shown) to be mounted without special operations instead of the original hub-drum, it consists of a metal rim on which a toothed ring 1 la in superpoliamide or other similar material is firmly fixed, capable of supporting the actuation stress caused by the toothed wheel Ile which engages on the outside of the belt -singolo, i.e. contrary to how it normally occurs and this represents an essential particularity of the present invention. The sleepers 12 are expected to protrude slightly on the sides of the track, so that this, as a whole,

Inside, in order to achieve a perfect guide in the transverse direction of the track, at the back of the sleepers 12, pairs of rubber or metal section blocks 13 are fixed, between which the wheels 5, 6 and 8 slide. To obtain increased efficiency, it is further noted that the crosspieces 12, on their ends, can be folded so as to obtain transversal gripping teeth 12b to ensure greater driving stability and lateral grip when the vehicle operates transversely on sloping ground . To obtain instead a regular tension of the track and a better functioning of the same, a roller 14 is finally provided which acts as a belt tensioner, but which above all has the task of guiding the track so as to improve the gear angle of the toothed wheel 11 on the same.
The essential prerogative of the described device is that, thanks to the oscillating fixing system of the support bar 7 with relative plurality of pairs of wheels 8, the track 9 has the possibility to tilt within certain limits with respect to the perpendicular plane of the scooter, i.e. the latter will have the right to proceed with the correct vertical attitude even if the ground consists of a transversely inclined slope.
As regards the front steering skate 15, it can be observed that it consists of a single-type element with a lower guide fairing and an upper blade 16 perpendicular to the front wheel of the scooter, using the original locking bolts. The skate is completed by a spring stabilizing tie rod 17 arranged to be anchored to the vehicle's mudguard attachment bolts, so as to ensure that it i5 always maintains the correct operating position.
