DESCRIPTION
D'autres dispositions seraient bien sûr possibles.
DESCRIPTION
The present invention relates to a bar stacker device for loading a refueler of the radially loading type, that is to say from the side or from above.
Refuelers for automatic machine tools, especially for automatic lathes, must be reloaded into bars at a rate that technical development is always making faster. Conventionally, these refuelers, for example the Hydrobar, Superhydrobar and Tryton types, well known on the market, were loaded from the rear or from the front. Rear loading has the disadvantage of requiring an additional available space equal to the length of the bar, which can reach six meters. Loading from the front has the drawback of requiring lateral displacement of the entire bar guide tube of the refueler, which is not without complications.
It has also been proposed refuelers loading laterally, which solves the problems of space but naturally requires that the bar guide tube of the refueler or equivalent bar guide means are open for each reload. Recently, there has been proposed (European patent application 85 81 0133.1) an automatic tower feeder comprising a series of aligned bearings which can open laterally for loading a new bar. To be effective, such a refueler must be equipped with a stacking device capable of feeding it as quickly and automatically as possible.
The stock of bars can be arranged in different ways, but it is advantageous to be able to place the bars next to each other, on an approximately horizontal surface, at a level close to the ground. It is above all the aspects of reliability, automation, technical quality and manufacturing economy which have been studied with a view to providing the tanker with the aforementioned type (or also any other type of tanker that can be loaded radially) of a satisfactory stacker.
The object of the present invention is to provide such a stacking device which is particularly advantageous in particular as regards the various aspects mentioned above.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the presence of the characters set out in the appended claim 1.
The dependent claims define embodiments in accordance with the invention which make it possible to achieve particularly advantageous performances, in particular as regards the aspects mentioned above.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, how the invention can advantageously be implemented. In this drawing:
fig. 1 is a general perspective view showing a stacker device of the proposed type fitted to a refueler with bearings opening laterally,
fig. 2 is a schematic end view, and partially in section, of the proposed stacking device, and of a landing of the refueler, and
fig. 3 is a sectional view along line III-III of FIG. 2.
The stacker device 20 (fig. 2) delivers a bar of material to be machined 28 on the bearings 3 of the refueller 2 to 14. In FIG. 2, we have, in terms of the tanker, in 2 the base of the tanker, in 3 a full level of the tanker, in 4 the fixed part of the level, in 5 the opening part of the level, in 6 the semi-opening of bearing for the bar in the fixed part 4, at 7 the semi-opening of the bearing for the bar in the opening part 5, at 8 a control slide for a loading bracket 9, itself slidably mounted in height via a column 10.
A stud 11, integral with the opening part 5, controls the height position of the loading bracket 9, which supports a receiving bracket 12 whose exact orientation can be adjusted and locked around a pivot 14, so that the upper receiving plane 13 of the bracket 12 has just the slight inclination desired to cause the bar of material arriving to roll to the bottom of the bracket 12.
When, then, the opening part 5 of the bearing will close on the fixed part 4, the bracket 9 will descend and the bar 28 will be deposited dou
cement in semi-bearing 6, whereupon the step feeder will
loaded with a bar and will work.
We see in fig. 1 that only two bearings 4 are provided with the
angle device 8 to 13. FIG. 1 also shows what is the
in-depth arrangement of these elements.
The above concerns the tanker; we are now going to consi
manage the stacking device 20. It is clear that any stacking device
must be given to the supply vessel which it is intended to equip; in the
case of fig. 2, the peculiarities of the tanker influencing those of the
stacker are, on the one hand, the level of the upper receiving plane 13
and, on the other hand, the size of the blocks 3 and the base 2, which limits
take up the space available for the stacking device.
The stacker includes a lifting arrangement which moves two
lugs 21 which lift and bring into position on the upper plane
13 a bar of material to be machined 28.
In fig. 2,1 'lug 21 is drawn in several positions; there is always
However, it should be understood that there is only one lug 21 on a trajectory, two parallel trajectories being established as shown in FIG. 1. The lug 21 comprises a bar grab convavity 22, shown as substantially cylindrical, but which can also be V-shaped, in the shape of a warhead, etc. Next to this gripping concavity 22, the lug 21 includes a pushing nose 23.
The stacking device comprises, arranged in parallel, two chains of the bicycle chain type 31 which evolve on two parallel paths and which each carry a lug 21 in a determined position. In this case, the two chains 31 are driven by a motor 40 acting by a transmission 41 on a chain drive wheel 39 (two wheels 39 integral in rotation respectively actuate the two chains 31) . In fig. 2, it can be seen that each chain 31 passes around a first return wheel 37, a second return wheel 38, a roller tensioner 42 and a curved sliding chain return 43.
It should be noted that there are other means of achieving the lifting arrangement, all the more so since the lug carried by this arrangement makes an alternating movement, once ascent, once ascent.
The bars to be loaded are simply placed on an initial support 30, slightly inclined, so that the bars 29 thus stored roll (or if necessary slide) as close as possible to the path of the lifting chains. The inclination of the initial support 30 can be adjusted as required. We see in fig. 1 that the support 30 is formed of several strips perpendicular to the bars. Two loading places 44 are defined on the initial support 30, these two places 44 being those through which the pins 21 will pass to lift a bar there. Fig. 1, which adds the depth dimension to fig. 2, makes it possible to see that the pins 21 pass the loading places 44 without interference with the strips of the base 30.
The lug 21 is mounted on one side of the chain 31, on two extensions 32 of the two articulation axes of a link in the chain (see fig. 3). Each lug comprises a round bore 26 and a slot or window 27 having the shape of an arc centered on the round bore 26.
The distance 26-27 corresponds to the interaxis distance of a link in the chain. Means not referenced maintain the lug 21 adjacent to the chain 31, this lug being, by its configuration, capable of occupying two extreme orientations relative to the chain 31. We see at the bottom of FIG. 2 that, when it comes back down, the lug 21 retracts at the moment when its retraction control flank surface 25 abuts on a stored bar 29, the next one which will be lifted. In other situations, the lug 21 has its other attachment orientation.
Parallel to the path of the chains 31 is fixedly mounted a stay 33 against which the bar 28, raised by the lugs 21, comes to bear to be brought to the upper plane 13 of the tanker. The strut 33 is again present at two places in the depth of the stacking device, as shown in FIG. 1.
Other arrangements would of course be possible.
It can be seen that the trajectory of the chain 31 makes an elbow around the first idler wheel 37. The chain, with the lug 21, then makes a substantially horizontal section of travel. On this section, the lug 21 could tend to return to its retracted position in which its nose 23 remains below the forestay 33. To avoid this, the lug 21 comprises a support flank 24 which, on the section horizontal upper trajectory, abuts against a support track 36, arranged substantially between the axes of the idler wheels 37 and 38. This fixed support track 36 is preferably formed or coated with a slippery and resistant synthetic material wear and tear, for example the substance called Durogliss. The forestay 33 is also advantageously coated therewith.
Under the effect of the weight of the bar being raised 28, the link in the chain on which the lug is mounted may tend to turn, that is to say to lie obliquely, of a way tending to deform the Z-shaped chain. This tendency could be contained by a sufficient mechanical tension given to the chains 31, provided that a relatively large deflection of the link concerned of the chains 31 is allowed. In this case, there is It has proved advantageous to eliminate the tendency to deflection by the intermediary of the guide of the chain 31 in a slide 34 (FIG. 3), at least on the substantially vertical trajectory section.
The slide 34 acts, by means of the internal synthetic coating 35, against the pivot parts of the links of the chain 31, this slide 34 leaving the chain accessible only from one side, on which the lug 21 is mounted. coating 35 is preferably of the Durogliss type. The slide 34 is in two parts, one in the form of a square fixed to the upright 45 of the stacker, and the other in the form of a cover plate fixed to the first. Advantageously, the cover part of the slide 34 simultaneously provides the forestay surface 33, this part then being made or covered with suitable synthetic material.
An important feature of the stacking device is the pushing of the bar as far as possible on the upper receiving plane 13. It is understood, considering fig. 1, that the upper horizontal end of the forestay 33 and the receiving surface of the upper plane 13 are crisscrossed at their ends, so that the bar 28, pushed by the lug 21, is still on the forestay 33 then that it is already on the upper plane 13. At this instant, it is still the concavity 22 of the lug which pushes the bar, the support track 36 holding the lug in the upright position. However, this stop track 36 is interrupted by the end of runway edge 46, just on the second return wheel 38.
Consequently, the curvature imparted to the chain 31 by the wheel 38 tends to lower the lug 21, this being authorized by the fact that the pivot point 26 of the lug then precisely exceeds the end of runway edge 46. The lug thus takes the position shown in phantom over the wheel 38, and its nose 23 pushes the bar 28 as far as possible on the upper receiving plane 13. The whole movement performed by the lug simulates truly the gesture of a person who would carry out a similar loading.
The chains 31 are then moved until the nose 23 has pushed the bar 28 far enough on the upper plane 13, after which the movement of the chains is stopped, then reversed. The bar 28 rolls by itself to the bottom of the square 12, and the lug 21 backs along the trajectory, near the stock of bars 29. It then passes the place of loading 44 while retracting, as shown in fig. 2, then resumes its attachment orientation below the initial support 30. The chain stroke is then stopped
and the lug will lift the next bar of material to be machined
when the tanker needs it, and the same cycle starts again
cera. This operation is controlled by electrical means
comprising position sensors not shown.
During this time, the bar 28 having just been loaded will be clamped
in bearing 6, 7 of the refueler, which will have closed, this coming out
operation of the tanker.
In the prototype produced, significant use was made of the ma
high resistance and low friction synthetic thirds such as
Durogliss rails. Reference 43 is also made of this
material, as well as the upper part of the forestay 33, which extends
the surface of the slide 34 used as forestay on the vertical section.
Note that sections of the trajectory could also
be more or less oblique; however, the passage of the forestay
33 on the surface of the upper slides 13 is done gently.
We note that the stacking device could also be used on
other tanker constructions, allowing loading
lateral bars.
The lifting means shown, i.e. the chains of the
bicycle chain type 31, in closed loop returning via
of the reference 43 and of the tensioner 42, constitute a possible and advantageous embodiment, but it would also be possible to produce these lifting means differently. As the pins move back and forth, the chains or the like may also not be in closed loops, but have two free ends wrapped around suitable drums. A take-up drum would then drive the lifting means and a return and stroke absorption arrangement would be applied at the other end.
It could be a rotary (drum) or linear return, which can use the action of a weight, or a spring, or a friction drive device. One could also envisage that the two ends of the chains are recalled in this way, an intermediate drive wheel then acting in the manner of a capstan.
Furthermore, the chains could be replaced for example by belts, or cables, easy to wind, but requiring lateral guidance of the lug, given their possible twisting.
It is noted that, within the framework of the prototype produced, three configurations of lugs have been provided, the dimensions of which are suitable respectively for the bars of 15 to 25 mm in diameter, the bars of 25 to 50 mm in diameter and the bars of 50 at 65 mm in diameter.
The lifting means could also comprise a plate or part having a dimension corresponding to the necessary spacing between the two lugs, and which, comprising a lug at each of its two ends, would move perpendicular to itself on the desired path. Means for driving it could include one or more different chains or organs. The important thing is that these lifting means ensure that the two pins always have approximately the same height position, so that the bar 28 does not tend to slide axially.
The configuration proposed for the pins 21 very easily allows their retraction to the desired locations. The various aspects of the embodiment described in conjunction with FIGS. 1 to 3 have proven reliable in operation and advantageous in manufacturing, but of course the invention is not limited to this single embodiment.
