la fig. 1 est une vue en coupe axiale à échelle agrandie montrant un des mécanismes d'accrochage du bobinoir dans la position de fonctionnement usuel;
la fig. 2 une vue en élévation schématique, à échelle réduite, illustrant le début de l'opération de transfert;

The subject of the present invention is a double winder with automatic transfer device comprising two drive shafts for a reel of parallel axes and each equipped with a hooking mechanism which comprises a hook mounted on a disc capable of rotating by with respect to said shaft and means for controlling the rotation of the hook-carrying disc capable of forming, with the initial strand of a winding, a loop extending around the drum of the spool.
It is known that double winders with automatic transfer device which can be used to form coils of insulated wires, intended for example for telephone lines, must, at present, be designed so that the two ends of the segment of wire wound on each reel are accessible at the time of delivery of the reels. For this purpose, it has already been proposed to add to the winders of the prior art means which allow the initial strand of the winding to form a loop, under the effect of centrifugal force, immediately after the operation of transfer has taken place.
However, experiments have shown that any device which ensures the formation of this loop under the effect of centrifugal force is in itself inadequate, so that it does not constitute an effective solution to the problem posed. Indeed, during the subsequent formation of the winding, the successive layers of turns which deposit up to the immediate vicinity of the cheek of the coil exert a facelift effect on the initial strand, and the loop is little absorbed in the thickness of the winding. Thus, the desired goal is not achieved.
We have already thought (patent CH-N 634797) to equip the winders of the kind mentioned above with a mechanism which introduces a deployment member in the loop, in order to retain the initial strand outside the winding. The means which have been proposed in the aforementioned patent have however proved to be of a heavy and relatively complicated construction.
It has been realized that it was possible to simplify the means intended to avoid the reduction of the loop in the thickness of the winding, as well as their control means, and the aim of the present invention is to provide a winder of the kind mentioned above which is capable of producing coils, the initial strand and the final strand are easily accessible, using simple and effective anti-winding means.
For this purpose, the winder according to the invention is characterized in that the hooking mechanisms each further comprise an anti-winding drum and a conductive chute, these elements being movable relative to each other and capable of being controlled so that the loop engages in the chute, under the effect of centrifugal force, at the time of its formation, then applies to the drum anti-swallowing during winding.
An embodiment of a winding machine according to the invention will be described below, by way of example, with reference to the attached drawing, in which:
fig. 1 is an axial section view on an enlarged scale showing one of the hooking mechanisms of the winder in the usual operating position;
fig. 2 is a schematic elevation view, on a reduced scale, illustrating the start of the transfer operation;
fig. 3 also a schematic view showing an empty spool and illustrating the operation of forming a loop with the initial strand of wire, and
fig. 4 an axial sectional view of the latching mechanism in the operating position.
We see in fig. 1 a part of the means for driving a reel 1 mounted on a double winder with automatic transfer. This winder has two reel supports similar to that of FIG. 1. These reel supports are mounted on a common frame 5, so that the axes of the reels are parallel, and the winder is further equipped with a cutting device and transfer means which are shown diagrammatically in FIGS. 2 and 3, but which are of usual construction.
In fig. 1, the coil 1 is mounted on a drive shaft 2 which is carried by bearings 3 and 4 relative to the fixed frame 5. The shaft 2 contains a clamping sleeve 6 biased by a spring 7, and applies axially against the end of the hub 1b of the coil 1.
A pinole 8 is fixed inside the shaft 2, so as to engage in the hub 1b to support the coil 1 along its axis. The shaft 2 is driven via a pulley (not shown) and a transmission belt from an electric motor.
The frame 5 has, to receive the bearing 4, an extension tu
bulaire Sa limited by a smooth external cylindrical surface on which a sleeve also tubular can slide 9. The rear end of this sleeve has a bulge 10 which constitutes a piston capable of sliding inside the cylinder 11 of a jack. On its end which projects from the cylinder 11, the sleeve 9 is equipped with a bearing 12 on which rotates a movable assembly consisting of a conductive chute 13 and a brake drum 14. A second part of this moving equipment will be described later. It is carried by the bearing 19. The two members 13 and 14 are free to rotate relative to the sleeve 9 and coaxially with it, but are moved axially by this sleeve and are capable of carrying out a stroke whose amplitude is given by the length of the cylinder 11, the position visible in FIG. 1 being the withdrawal position.
As can be seen, the piston 10 is located at the left end of the cylinder 11. The second part of the moving assembly is not moved
ble axially. It comprises a hook-carrying disc 15 which is also free to rotate relative to the drive shaft 2.
Note that the right end of the drive shaft 2 carries a coupling disc 16. The latter has at its periphery a rim 16a provided along its circumference with notches 16b and a projecting stop 16c. On the other hand, the connection between the disc 16 and the drive shaft 2 is produced by a central hub-shaped part 16d of the disc 16 which is engaged and fixed against a support ring 17 welded to the shaft 2 A cheek 18 is also fixed coaxially to the shaft 2 against the hub 16d, in order to hold in place the bearing 19 supporting the disc 15. This bearing is mounted on the hub 16d. The cheek 18 itself carries a composite friction ring 20 which is guided by pins 21 integral with the cheek 18. This ring 20 is axially movable on the pins 21.
It is retained in place by stops 22 also fixed to the cheek 18 and it carries, on the one hand, against the cheek of the coil 1 and, on the other hand, against the foot of the hook 23. When putting in place of the coil 1, his cheek presses against the ring 20 and pushes it back into the position visible in FIG. 1, position in which it maintains the hook 23 in the closed position, as will be seen even further on.
Returning to the freely movable rotating assembly and comprising, as we have seen, the brake drum 14 and the conductive chute 13, this assembly also comprises the hook-carrying disc 15 on the rear face of which three sockets are fixed , such as the bush 24, capable of sliding in corresponding eyelets 25 of the chute 13. The hook-carrying disc 15 being in a fixed axial position relative to the drive shaft 2, when the chute 13 moves axially, the eyelets 25 slide on the sockets 24.
As seen in fig. 1, the hook 23 is constituted by a profiled bar mounted radially on the right face, in FIG. 1, of the hook-carrying disc 15. The hook 23 is articulated about an axis 26 relative to the disc 15. A U-shaped stirrup 27 fixed to the disc 15 ensures its pivoting. At its end located on the side of the periphery of the disc, it has a bend to which is fixed a movable jaw 28 profiled so as to adapt to a corresponding fixed jaw 29 which is integral with the disc 15. This jaw 29 has the form of 'A finger elongated in the direction of the periphery of the disc 15 and connected by one end to the outer part which forms the rim of this disc.
The outer part of the disc 15, designated by 30, and which, as seen in FIG. 1, advances on the right side, in this figure, so as to be immediately set back from the cheek of the reel 1 plays, in the winder described, the role of an anti-winding drum. It carries projecting studs 31 distributed along its periphery on its external face, each of these studs being provided with an axial hole in which a finger 32 is engaged.
The hook 23, the jaws 28 and 29, as well as the fingers 32, are also visible diagrammatically in FIG. 3. This shows that the edge of the conductive chute 13 is provided with notches 33 which surround the fingers 32. In this fig. 3, we also see release fingers 34 which are fixed in the inner face of the chute
13 and whose role will be explained later.
Before describing the operation of this attachment mechanism, it is also worth mentioning the disengageable coupling means that exist in the moving assembly, so as to allow it to be coupled or released relative to the shaft. drive 2. A coupling finger 35 is fixed in the axial direction on the right face, in FIG. 1, of the chute 13. It has a notch 36. In the position visible in FIG. 1, its right end is engaged in a notch 16b of the coupling disc 16. The hook-carrying disc 15 and the chute 13 being coupled by the sockets 24, the movable assembly is driven by the shaft 2, when is in the position of fig. 1.
It will however be understood that, if the jack 11 is actuated, and if the tubular sleeve 9 moves the chute to the right, the finger 35 engages in an opening 37 which is angularly offset relative to the hook 23, so that the notch 36 is placed at the right of the notch 16b and that the coupling is released.
Fig. 4 shows, on a smaller scale, the parts described above in this advance position of the conductive chute 13. It will be appreciated that a brake shoe (not shown) placed opposite the drum 14 can then be actuated and slows down the moving element relative to the drive shaft 2. This moving element will therefore move back relative to this shaft, and this until the base of the finger 35 abuts against the stop 16c. The moving part will then have moved back around 1800 compared to the drive shaft.
Figs. 2 and 3 schematically show the sequence of operations, from the moment of transfer to the moment when the latching mechanism is ready to return to its usual place. At the time of transfer, the hooking mechanisms of the two coils are in the position shown in FIG. 1. However, as regards the mechanism linked to the full reel B (fig. 2), the chute 38 is in the advanced position so as to receive the final or external strand of the winding. In fig. 2, the wire F coming from the supply line passes over a pulley 39 which is part of the cutting device and is deposited on the coil B driven in the direction of the arrow Bi, while the coil A, which is still empty, is driven in the direction of arrow Al.
Transfer means (not shown) engage the wire F in the path of the jaws 29 and 28 which rotate with the disc 15 at the speed of the drive shaft of the coil A. A few moments later, the jaws 28 and 29 are in the position shown in broken lines in FIG. 2, and it can be seen that the wire F has been cut or cut between the two coils. The initial strand of the new winding extends tangentially to the drum of the coil A and, after a few turns, the arrangement is that shown in FIG. 3 in solid lines.
It is assumed that, between the initial strand hooked between the jaws 28 and 29 and the segment of wire F which passes over the pulley 39, a certain number of turns are deposited on the drum of the coil 1, in the vicinity of its cheek, so that the beginning of the winding is linked to the drum of the coil. It is at this moment that the jack 11 is controlled so as to bring out the movable assembly in the position of FIG. 4. The position of the cutting pulley 39 in the axial direction is then such that the wire is not hampered by the advance of the chute 13. A brake applied to the drum 14 causes the relative retreat of the moving element, in the direction of arrow C in FIG. 3, so that the entire movable assembly, including the hook 23, comes into the position shown in phantom in this fig. 3.
The initial strand F1 then forms a loop which is deposited, under the effect of centrifugal force, in the conductive chute 13, between the flange 13a and the fingers 34.
The jack 11 is then actuated so as to bring the chute 13 back into the position of FIG. 1, so that the initial strand F1 is placed above the fingers 32 of the anti-winding drum 30. The thread F remains pinched between the jaws 28 and 29, so that, during the formation of the winding 39, The reduction effort exerted on the strand F1 will cause the loop to settle on the fingers 32.
When the winding operation is completed and the reel A has become a full reel, the transfer operation is repeated as described above. In order to facilitate the unloading of the reels, each hooking mechanism is equipped with a marking element, for example a reflective strip which is fixed at a determined location at the periphery of the chute 13 or of the hook-carrying disc 15 This reflecting strip cooperates with a detector system, for example a lamp and a photocell, or any other electro-optical device capable of emitting a signal when the latching mechanism is in a predetermined orientation. These means make it possible to stop the drive shaft 2 in an orientation such that the initial strand F1 is located above the axis of the coil.
The actuator 11 is then actuated to bring out the conductive chute 13. The release fingers 34 extract the initial strand F1 from the anti-winding drum and this initial strand falls on the winding. It is therefore possible to re-enter the chute by actuating the jack 11 in the opposite direction, after which the unloading operations are carried out normally. The provider is lifted, the pinole opposite the pinole 8 is moved axially in order to release the coil. The spring 7, acting on the sleeve 6, pushes the coil 1 out of the pinole 8, so that the disc 20 is released. The hook 23 (which is biased by a spring) then pivots counterclockwise as seen in FIG. 1, which opens the jaws 28 and 29. The mechanism described is then rotated, without the reel being driven, in order to release the hook 23 from the initial strand F1. The reel can then be evacuated.
Finally, it suffices to reset the mechanism described, which can be controlled automatically by very simple means. The mechanism is therefore ready to receive a new empty coil, and these operations can be carried out easily during the time taken by the parallel mechanism to fill a coil.
