Abstract

A monoblock panel (12) with double glazing for a door or window, which can be mounted directly in a movable leaf (casement) or fixed frame without interposition of a framework, consists of two panes of glass (34, 36) which are joined in a sealed manner. This panel is capped, over its whole periphery, by metal U-shaped sections such as (49) and (62), which are themselves covered with elements made of synthetic material, such as (75) and (78), comprising cavities such as (90) and (92) housing the additional metal parts such as the handle, casement bolt, reinforcement rods, or hinge elements such as (32a). There is thus no need for a heavy framework for fixing the glazed panel and the accessories. <IMAGE>
