Montre-calendrier.
Calendar watch.
The present invention relates to a calendar watch comprising an intermediate wheel driven by the movement, a date indicator member and a day of the week indicator member driven only by the intermediate wheel.
Watches of this type, already known, are of relatively complicated construction. In general, they include a correcting member which is actuated by a push-button accessible from the outside, and therefore passing through the casing.
However, the manufacture of casings provided with openings for the passage of one or more pushers requires greater precision than that which is usually achieved and, in addition, poses problems of sealing which are not easy to resolve.
For these various reasons, calendar watches of the type mentioned are not in general use.
However, calendar watches are currently known which do not include any push-button and whose case only has the usual opening provided for the passage of the winding stem. These watches are provided with a simple date indicator member, driven by one step at each turn of the intermediate wheel by a drive mechanism which is arranged in such a way that by rotating the winding stem alternately towards the clock. forward and backward after bringing the hands to a suitable position, the date indicator member is advanced step by step, at will.
Swiss Patent No. 368,751 describes in particular a watch, the drive mechanism of which is arranged so that the advance of the date organ is effected by an instantaneous jump, and comprises a minimum number of parts.
The object of the present invention is to provide a calendar watch of the type mentioned, of simple construction, and does not) Résentarlt any corrector pushbutton,
For this, the watch according to the invention is characterized in that the date indicator member is driven only by a spring mechanism capable of being armed by a limited rotation of said wheel in the opposite direction of its rotation. normal.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the watch according to the invention.
Fig. 1 is a partial sectional view along line 1-1 of FIG. 2, and
fig. 2 a top plan view of the movement of this watch.
The movement of the watch shown in the drawing comprises a plate 1 which constitutes the main element of the frame of this movement, and above which is fixed a dial 2. In the center be the plate 1 is pivoted a large-average mobile 3 on the shaft of which is engaged a roadway 4, The sleeve of this roadway serves as a bearing for a mobile 5 which consists of two parts: a toothed wheel 7 which is engaged with a not shown timing wheel and a pinion 8 whose toothing extends above the wheel 7 and above the upper face of the plate 1.
The pinion 8 is extended upwards by a barrel 8a which passes through an opening 6 made in the center of the dial 2. On the plate 1 is fixed a frame element 9 consisting of a cut plate of generally circular shape, the periphery of which provides guidance. of a date ring 10 which rests on an annular thread 11 presented by the plate 1. The plate 9 has, on the other hand, an elongated cutout 12 which surrounds its center and in which is embedded an intermediate wheel 13 engaged with pinion 8 and driven by the latter at the rate of one revolution per 24 hours.
The wheel 13 pivots on a seat screw 14 screwed into the plate 1 and extends above a heart-shaped cam 15 which also pivots on the seat of the screw 14.
The entrainment of the date ring 10 is provided from the wheel 13 by means of the cam 15 thanks to a resilient entrainment member 16 which has the form of an angled lever and which is housed in a recess 17 made under the plate 9. This lever 16 pivots on a drop 18 of the plate. I1 is biased by a spring wire 19 which is also engaged in the recess 17 and one end of which presses against the lever 16 and the other against a locking pawl 20 pivoting on a drop 21 and having a nose 22 engaged in the teeth inside the ring 10. The lever 16 also has at the end of its bent arm a spout 23 which is normally engaged between two teeth of the ring 10.
It finally comprises a projection 24 which is in contact with the periphery of the cam 15. The operation of this training device is the same as that described in patent No. 368,751. The cam 15 being connected to the wheel 13 by a clearance coupling constituted by a cylindrical pole 25, integral with the cam and engaged in a slot in the arc of a circle 26 which the wheel 13 presents, the latter rotates normally in the anti-clockwise direction. - schedule seen in fig. 2 and insert the cam 15, which pushes the lever 16 from right to left in FIG.
2, by arming the spring 19o The beak 22 of the pawl 20 being pressed against the teeth of the wheel 10, the latter remains stationary while the beak 27 of the lever 16 moves backwards and engages behind the previous tooth of the ring 10. At the moment when the rotation of the wheel 17 brings the tip of the cam 15 under the projection 24, the action of the spring 19 causes the legier 16 to pivot in the anti-clockwise direction and causes the rotation of the cam 15 forwards, the tenon 25 moving freely from one end to the other of the slot 26. At the same time, the beak 23 causes a rapid movement of the ring 10. The date visible in a window 38 made in dial 2 above ring 10 changes by one.
Thanks to the play of the cam 15 and the lever 16, it is possible to move the ring 10 at will by acting only on the winding stem 39 of the watch, which is of usual construction and which, by means of the device setting and the timer wheel drives the mobile 5 and, consequently, the intermediate wheel 13.
By rotating said rod alternately in one direction and then in the other, so as to move the hands by about 4 o'clock, the ring 10 can be made to advance by one step.
The watch described also comprises a member indicating the days of the week which is constituted by a seven-pointed star 27 pivoted on the barrel 8a between the dial 2 and the teeth of the pinion 8, and a disc 28 integral with this star and extending to 'at the periphery of plate 9.
This disc bears at its periphery the indications of the days of the week, these indications being visible successively in a second window 40 presented by dial 2.
Normally, the star 27 is held stationary by a roller 29, the upper part of which is engaged in a recess 30 presented by the upper face of the plate 9 and of which the lower part is engaged in a recess 31 made under the plate 9. A cylindrical bearing surface 32 of small diameter brings together the upper and lower parts of the roller 29 through a radial slot 33 serving to guide the roller. This slot ends on the outside with a circular opening 34 which crosses the plate 9 right through and which allows the implementation of the roller.
A spring wire 35 arched in the shape of a U is housed in a recess 36 of the plate 9 and supports the roller laterally against the star 27 by immobilizing the latter in a position such that two teeth of this star extend symmetrically on both sides. other of the roller 29. The indications carried by the disc 28 are distributed in such a way that a single indication is entirely visible in the aperture 40 for each position of the star 27.
As can be seen in the drawing, the teeth of the star 27 extend partially above the wheel 13, so that they can be hooked by a pin 37 projecting from the upper face of this wheel. This pin therefore constitutes a drive member which is constantly engaged with star 27 and which drives this star at a certain angle each time wheel 13 performs a complete rotation. This angle is sufficient for the point of a tooth of star 27 exceeds the axis of roller 29, so that the latter then rotates star 7 clockwise by an angle such that it is in a rest position located at an equal distance between the next two teeth.
The pin 37 is located on the wheel 13, such that the jump of the date ring and that of the day disc take place practically simultaneously.
Thus the pin 37 begins the entrainment of the star of days 1 to 2 hours before midnight so as to place the tip of a tooth of this star in the axis of the pebble at midnight. The corrective movements of the quantheme ring bring pin 37 into engagement with star 27 and move it one step back and one step forward, so that finally the date correction does not change. the position of the day indicator.
If the hands are turned in the direction of normal rotation by means of the winding crown, the day indicator member and the quantum indicator member simultaneously advance by one step when the hands pass approximately 24 hours.
You can also start the needles in the opposite direction of normal rotation. When they pass over 24 hours, the infeed wheel causes the date indication to retreat and the day indication to advance.
It will also be noted that the roller 29 is oriented so as to bbquer the star 27 in a position where one of its teeth is directed towards the axis of the wheel 13, so that the pin 37 can move the star 27 with a step as well
EMI8.1
when the wheel 13 turns clockwise than when it turns counterclockwise.
The radius of the path described by pin 37 is slightly less than the radius of the path described by the parts of star 27 with which the pin comes into contact.
The watch described has the great advantage of not having any push-button and of being of a simple construction since the whole of the device indicating the days of the week requires only three additional pliers: the indicator member 27, 28, the roller 29 and the spring 35. As the diameter of the disc 28 must be smaller than the diameter of the ring 10 so that it does not interfere with the indication of the dates, the device indicating the days of the week can easily be housed under a dial. convex placed above a plate whose upper face is flat.
Finally, as the indicator member for the days of the week is placed in the center of the dial, the disc 28 may have a large diameter and the window 40 through which its indications are visible may have a sufficient length for the indications of the days to be correct. blue visi.
