Abstract

The gas burner consists of a sleeve of e.g. stainless steel (2) with a block (1) mounted in the bottom, which has a tapered part at its base, reducing down to a diameter (1') smaller than the inside of the tube, leaving an annular space (9) around it and into this part is screwed a gas supply jet (5). Air enters this annular space, then travels sideways through two opposed slots to emerge just above the gas discharge point, mixing with the gas inside a chamber (4) inside the block (1). This chamber then communicates through a smaller diameter bore (7) with the space (8) inside the tube above the end of the block.
